Episode 1 – 15 (Already posted)
Episode 16 – Umi vs Level 2
Erb, carrying Linda in his arm, ran away from the school with Samantha, Sylvia, and the rest of the students and teachers. They soon arrive at a large crowd waiting to board buses. The number of people trying to get in causes a fight to break out. Erb motions the other girls to get away from the bus, but Samantha already beats him. She sensed another one of the monsters near, but far stronger than the others. They all see one of the white monsters approaching – having 2 outward horns, 2 column-like limbs acting as legs, and a tail resembling a whale. Erb's group begin to run again, and many of the other students who were not on the bus did the same. The beast tackles one of the vehicles that tried to get away and while the occupants are inside, it feasts on them.
Erb's group continues south on the highway with the plan to get into the nearby forest and hide. However, further ahead, they see the normal-sized monsters having already ambushed the buses that had left earlier. The kaoticons shift their focus on them, but they are saved by large stone spikes skewering them from underneath them. Samantha spots Umi above, who is responsible for what occurred. However, the large kaoticon from behind them opens fire with a mouth blast. Umi dives between it and his friends, block it using his magic and performs the same earth spikes. The beast dodges it and takes flight, turning their short bout into an aerial battle. But Umi conjures hundreds of icicles using the ocean water nearby and kills the beast. Erb and the others were about to celebrate Umi's victory but are interrupted by the emergence of an even larger, humanoid-like kaoticon, walking out of the forest.
Inside the secret bunker, Éclair saw the entire battle unfold through the lens of a camera drone she hijacked. The drone once belonged to one of the students from the school and it was luckily connected to the internet wirelessly. But she wanted to do more than just watch. Bringing them to the bunker would be a good start. So, she rushes out of the room to find her brother only to bring him back to the room, and show him what was happening on the surface. Lyle had heard rumors of what was going on through what little radio chatter the communication team was able to get. But after seeing monsters from a horror film come to life, he plans to put the bunker on lockdown. Éclair objects, hoping to change his mind and get Sylvia and the others into the bunker through one of the maintenance hatches. She studied the bunker schematics and learned one of the tunnels that connect to the Valor has an emergency access hatch in the forest that separates the city and the northern outskirts. The school was only a mile away from it. She even knows the bunker has mobile suits housed in another section and can be easily brought to the surface through a hidden cargo elevator. But Lyle does not want to risk the safety of the bunker and chose to start the lockdown procedures. He then takes away Éclair's devices and locks her in the room in case she does anything that would compromise their safety. But she was clever enough to have thought of a backup plan in case he did not help her. She memorized the layout of the bunker and knew how to start her mission.
Episode 17 – The Fall of Valor
The new kaoticon breathes out a mouth blast at Erb's group. Umi erects another shield and fends it off, but barely. Before Umi charges at the beast, he hands off Samantha's wand and places a healing spell on Linda's grievous wounds. Linda wakes up to see Erb holding her, and quickly gets off of him. Umi flies at it, redirecting its focus away from them, and then sends a barrage of icicles at the behemoth. But it shrugs them off, and despite its size, it easily swatted the black seal into the ocean. The others remain hidden in the forest and had to watch the monster go after Umi in the water. But the sight of the moon falling towards them drew their attention upward. Suddenly, a bright light blinds their view momentarily, and after it ended, the moon pieces are gone. The kaoticon was also fazed by the massive energy that was released above, giving Umi enough time to make his comeback. He transforms himself into his true form; a giant creature that was a hybrid between a sea lion and a wolf. Umi then forges a sword made of ice, carries it in his mouth, and resumes his fight.
In the underground bunker, Éclair sneaked out of her room through a loose panel she discovered and makes her way to one of the tunnel exits. She saw 2 security guards nearby guarding it. She also comes across the armory, with doors opened, and takes 2 stun rifles – capable of firing volts that will stun targets – and a new tablet. With the rifles, she precisely hits the guards simultaneously, then drops one of the rifles and hacks into the security terminals with her new device. She opens the door and boards one of the train cars. It took her several minutes for Éclair to reach one of the maintenance hatches, disembark and finds the exit. She, unfortunately, finds out she had to traverse 25 stories of stairs to get outside. Eventually, she climbs out of a hole to then be in the middle of the forest. Suddenly, a bright flash of light nearly blinds her, and by the time her vision returns, she has almost gets hit by a car. The sound of its engine allowed her to duck away in time. The car then stops safely, and O'Neill and Maude come out startled by her sudden appearance after their vision also returns from the bright flash.
In high orbit, Aurora is confronted by Kingsley who blocked her attack. She gets in close to fight him hand to hand. Kingsley's energy stops her from doing so, resembling lightning. As a show of force, he lets out a fraction of his full power to scare her into transforming. The power he unleashed was too much for the Seven Sentinel and was destroyed in the process. What remains of the Valor was also affected by the shockwave sent out, causing it to crumble. Aurora and Argon move away from his outburst in time. Aurora was shocked to see her barrier shatter, and grows fearful as the elevator falls directly toward Velium City.
Episode 18 – Ultimatum
Erb and the others continue to watch the fight but also catch sight of Hughes, Guin, and the other HOD agents. They regroup together, and Hughes inquires as to what the large wolf was. Erb informs him he is their ally. Samantha suggests they get further away from the battle for fear of getting caught. Umi gains the upper hand against the monster and slashes one of its arms off. He was about to finish it until the blue light dome above broke apart, and a powerful shockwave rocketed down, causing an earthquake. Umi and everyone else were stunned by the wave, and after they recovered, they spot the Valor crumbling down, and falling right on top of them.
Aurora swiftly flies down and gets in the path of the elevator. She throws another energy blast with a kick, obliterating a portion of the elevator that would have hit the city. She takes a moment to recover but realized the backlash of her attack was strong enough to change the landscape below her. Then, Kingsley surprises her from behind. A simple touch on the shoulder sent her flying down into the forest area.
Erb and Linda got separated from the others due to the large blast that came out of nowhere. But Linda sensed it was Aurora and spots her light crashing down. She tells Erb to stay behind while she goes and investigates.
Aurora immediately proceeds to fight Kingsley again, but he immobilizes her with his willpower. Kingsley threatens her to transform again, and even informs her of the kaoticon fleet starting their siege across the planet. Argon stays close by in the air while Kingsley keeps her under control. Aurora continues to endure the pressure until Linda comes in with a tree trunk and smashes it at Kingsley. He was unfazed and unmoved thanks to his own personal shield but recognizes her from one of the drones. He then changes tactics and shifts his focus on Linda, immobilizing and torturing her to make Aurora do as he says. Aurora pleads for him to stop and confesses she cannot use Deus. Kingsley does not believe her but is then interrupted by a rock that hits his barrier and sees the same red boy from before. Erb bravely demands him to stop, and although Kingsley didn't understand what he was saying, he felt insulted to even talk to him. So, the masked man exerts his willpower over the boy to break his mind and soul as well. Strangely, Erb does not succumb to the effects entirely and manages to throw another rock out of spite. His actions and defiance angered the man, and he moves in, grabs him by the throat, and attempts to choke him. But upon contact, he senses a strange yet familiar energy signature resonating out from the boy. He lets him go but as his mind was preoccupied, he is surprised by a shining light emitting from Aurora as she finally transforms.
Inside Aurora's self-consciousness, she converses with Deus, pleading for its strength. Deus, represented as a little blue child with long hair, curls up in fright and does not respond to her. Aurora apologizes to Deus for forcing it into another fight. She professes it was her fault for the destruction she caused the last time Deus lent its power, recalling her battle with the powerful kaoticon years ago.
Aurora discovered her opponent at the time had the ability to induce nightmares in its targets. The nightmares are related to actual events that the person had experienced whether they were conscious or not. Aurora's experience went back to when she was just born, inadvertently using Deus as a baby when her own life was in danger. At the time, her mother and her soon-to-be twin were close by and were killed by her sudden outburst. Aurora thought her mother had passed due to a disease, but after learning her own family had hidden the truth from her, including the fact that she had a twin, she was filled with grief and guilt. Her emotions were then amplified due to Deus's power, causing her to lose control. As a result, Aurora accidentally destroyed the system she was tasked to protect and made Deus an accomplice to her mistake.
However, Deus felt guilty for having caused her so much grief; being unable to stop her both as a baby and from their last interaction. It chose to seclude itself away to protect her. Aurora confesses that she was afraid of Deus's power, but was more fearful of hurting Deus even more. She regretted having succumbed to her own emotions and does not want another world destroyed because of her mistake, wishing to save Erb and the others from that fate. So, she begs Deus to help her one last time. Deus admitted to having liked how the earthlings live their simple lives in, oblivious to the sins of the cosmos. It reluctantly accepts her request, and together, the 2 of them promise to have a fresh start after they win.
Episode 19 – Aurora Deus
Outside, Aurora finally transforms into Deus and catches Kingsley by surprise. She kicks him into orbit, straight through the kaoticon mothership, and then at the moon. Suddenly, Argon charges down at her with a sneak attack, but she destroys him with a single kick, making sure to incinerate his entire body so he can't regenerate. Aurora regroups with Erb and Linda, and out of precaution, she hands one of her swords to protect them, on the off chance that they may need it while she is away. She then casts a global-wide cure, healing everyone, and shortly after proceeds to fly into orbit, encountering Argon's fleet.
The kaoticon fleet opens fire on her but was immediately crushed by hundreds of Hasto Ignis. Those that managed to spread themselves to the other side of the planet and on the surface were also hit by them. After sensing her opposition crushed, she casts a completed Seven Sentinel to guard the planet.
Eventually, she reaches the moon where Kingsley awaited her, relatively unharmed, standing on top of a strange large cylindrical structure. He noted that she killed Argon, but was not bothered by it. Aurora then clashes with Kingsley. She decimated the large structure into pieces and managed to hit him multiple times. However, Kingsley starts to reveal more of his power, creating 2 dagger-like weapons in his hand, and displays a mastery in dual-wielding. Aurora discovers his powers are neither magic nor aura and was nothing close to divine like her own. His energy resembles electricity but does not act like so; anything he touches turns into dust. His weapons also did the same, causing her to employ long-range attacks and take out her weapons to counter.
Back on earth, Erb and Linda watch as Aurora's Hasto Ignis rains down from the sky, spotting a few descending nearby and hearing the death cries of the kaoticons who were hit. They go in search of the others but quickly encounter the corpses of the enemy Umi was fighting. It was killed by Aurora's attack judging by how fresh the cauterized wounds were. They leave it alone, but Linda detects another being inside the corpse. They carefully watch a smaller, feminine-looking level 2 kaoticon emerge out of it, and she measures its power to be far greater than even the biggest one they saw. Out of fear, Linda takes Erb and flees the scene. But the creature instantly stood in their way and attacks them. Still, they are unharmed when Aurora's sword saves them by erecting a shield. Then, Umi, in his sea wolf state, locates them and swoops in to fight the level 2. However, it overpowers him and injures his eyes. Umi gets blinded and reverts to his smaller form, but restricts the monster temporarily inside a sphere of water and earth. Linda can see Umi was in a bind and chose to take action by taking the sword and using it as a weapon. But much to her shock, a fraction of the power housed inside it transfers to her, empowering her to the point where she felt confident, that she can fight the level 2. As it was about to break out, she swings the sword at it. She misses it but manages to grab Umi, toss him to Erb, and tells him to run.
Episode 20 – Powers awakened
After the group got separated, Sylvia and Samantha joined together with Hughes, and soon after, Guin, Ofelia, and Victor. Ofelia informs Hughes that the other agents got sent over the edge and fell into the water. She could not find their bodies and there was no way down to check thoroughly. Hughes tells the girls of their plan to go to the rendezvous point. Sylvia wants to find Erb and Linda while Samantha wishes to locate Umi. But the sound of a car engine catches their ears and spots an SUV driving out of the forest. The car approaches them and then stops. O'Neill gets out and runs towards Samantha, and Maude went to her uncle, Guin. Éclair casually walks up to Sylvia who was surprised to meet her. O'Neill inquires Samantha as to Erb's whereabouts, but thankfully, they both see him rushing out of the forest with Umi in hand. O'Neill was shocked to see the same black seal doll he had seen so many times in his sister's room to be breathing and bleeding. Samantha takes Umi off Erb's hand but then realizes Linda isn't with him. Erb tells everyone that Linda was fighting an enemy. O'Neil wanted to know what was going on but is cut off by Umi telling Erb that Linda was going to get killed if they don't do something quickly. Umi explains the power she got from the sword is too big for her to wield, and her body won't be able to contain it.
Linda continues her fight with the level 2 thanks to her enhanced strength and speed, but was gradually worn down from overusing the sword's power. She does her best to keep up with the creature, but it was too fast for her to land a decisive blow. The kaoticon remains on the defensive, knowing full well it could die if it wasn't careful.
Elsewhere, Erb and the others were deciding on what to do. Erb, Samantha, and Umi wish to help Linda. Hughes, Guin, Ofelia, and Victor want to get to the rendezvous point to meet with the army.
Éclair, Maude, and O'Neill deem the underground bunker which Éclair divulged to everyone, to be their best bet. Sylvia remains neutral but had no real idea what to do. O'Neill doesn't want his siblings to be in danger but Hughes wants everyone to stay together to get to the army in hopes of asking for backup. But Umi tells them the army would be cannon fodder against the monster. But he believes they, themselves, can defeat it. Unfortunately, he needed his eyesight back for him to aim a shot; the amount of time he needed to recover them would be too long. Using magic to track it was out of the question since he needed to mark it – which he didn't have the time to do. He hopes his attack will at least wound the creature long enough for Linda to deal a decisive blow. Maude suggests that she could be his eyes with the help of her sniper scope. Umi declines her offer due to her inability to even track the kaoticon's faster-than-lightning movement. Only he or someone with exceptional eyesight can track it, and there is someone with them who had that. He points out Sylvia to be that person, knowing she is the descendant of one of Erban's greatest adventurers.
Sylvia believed she had no such gift, much less any magic as made abundantly clear from her earlier attempt. But Umi tells her that he had met with her ancestor long ago and learned the core of her magic lies within her eyes – a magic-user like Samantha, Guin, and Hughes generate their power via their heart. Umi applies his magic to her eyes, and Sylvia startlingly closes them as pain sets in. She then opens them back up, and much to her surprise, her visions improve immensely; she unexpectedly zooms into Umi's eye, only to then zoom back out. She then sees everyone's life force, noting Hughes is green, Guin's a greyish red, Samantha's a light blue, and Erb's bright red. She also notes that Éclair and the others all have white. Umi tells of how her ancestor was able to see almost everything no matter how fast it was, how far something is and can see through illusions. He then tells her to concentrate and look in the direction of where Linda is. Sylvia does as he said, and can see her fighting the female humanoid. Umi then uses his magic to link their senses together and uses her as his scope.
Linda was sent flying after receiving a hit from the kaoticon, and it was about to finish her off. But they both suddenly spot a ball of light coming down, hitting the monster dead on. It survived the blast, though it staggers to its feet. Linda, seeing it stunned, rushes in for the kill, cutting it in 2 -diagonally across its chest. With another battle won, she takes time to rest and stops taking the sword's energy. But as soon as she does, she fell to the ground out of exhaustion.
Episode 21 – Setting the Stage
Sylvia still sees Linda but informs the others that she is not moving. Hughes, Victor, and Guin take it upon themselves to retrieve Linda. Sylvia then nervously asks Umi how she can stop her vision.
Umi calmly instructs her on what to do and she was able to get her old sight back. Umi then slumbers after exhausting his magic. Éclair suggests while the others get Linda, they can make their way to the maintenance hatch and decide from there on what to do. They all agreed and piled into the car.
Hughes, Victor, and Guin arrive to find her still breathing and conscious. Linda was a little embarrassed to be down again after recovering not too long ago. Guin picks her up and with Hughes, they head back to the others. Victor however takes a quick look around in case there was any other danger. He spots the body of the kaoticon, but only sees the bottom half present. Suddenly, he gets attacked by the upper half and is killed. Hughes, Guin, and Linda watch in horror as it strikes them. But Aurora's sword, now in Hughes's hand, protects them again. Hughes and Guin prepare to fight it with Linda behind them, but the kaoticon started acting strange. It writhes in pain, and what remained of its body began to expand. They take the chance to start running for fear of what was to come next. The kaoticon's body then bursts open as a newly formed Argon emerges.
Argon steps out of his brethren's corpse and takes a moment to check on Kingsley's status. He can sense he and Aurora are almost evenly matched, but his colleague remains calm and collected. His mind then flashes back to the mothership, where he recalls the plan Kingsley had concocted to fulfill both of their goals.
With Argon's goal being the restoration of his power, and Kingsley wanting Aurora's, Kingsley explained that the ideal situation for them to achieve both of their plans was for her to transform, but out of desperation. He believed her overcaution and hesitation will make it easier for them to manipulate her into doing what they wanted without putting themselves in absolute danger. Thus, the masked man carefully planned how to make her do so.
Kingsley had intentionally led the powerful kaoticon with the ability to induce nightmares to fight Aurora. The reason for wanting the kaoticon to fight her was after learning the truth behind her mother's death; he infiltrated her family's royal archives undetected and acquired that information. He believed the kaoticon's ability would instill the right kind of fear and hesitation into Aurora, making her doubt herself and others. In addition, that particular creature was tasked to bring in Argon for his insubordinate actions, so the masked man did him a favor by getting rid of it.
In the end, the first half of his scheme succeeded, and all he needed to do now was to get her alone, separated from her people; the true purpose of their last battle. Although they had wasted time in finding her again due to unforeseen factors, Kingsley wanted Argon to fight her first to further raise her hesitation. When she is at her most vulnerable, he would then step in to push her over the edge. If she transforms into Deus, he will subdue her, while keeping her away from Argon. Still, the masked man knew he wouldn't be able to protect his companion from her completely. And so, he created a ruse where Argon allows himself to get killed by her, making it seem he was out of the picture. That is where the kaoticon takes out another one of his abilities, Resurrection; it allows the user to come back to life so long as there was a living body they can return to, that shares similar genetic material as themselves – for Argon, his minions were his return points. Even if Aurora had killed him in her base form, he was never in any real danger, but it would have given her a confidence boost, cracking the veil of caution they so carefully weaved. Sadly, he couldn't use that ability again, since Aurora nearly killed all of his soldiers. He narrowly came back to life when all he found was an already dying level 2. The next time he dies, he might not know what will happen.
Now that she did transform, there was nothing Argon could do but wait until Kingsley can deal with her. When he does, Argon only needed to touch her and use another ability, Energy Absorption, which requires him to be in physical contact with the individual. He couldn't use it before her transformation since he specifically needed her divine energy. If he were to do it now though, he could very well die. Argon relays to Kingsley telepathically of his status, and Kingsley instructs him to lay low but to also acquire the red hair boy. Argon had a good idea of who he meant but was annoyed by the deviation. He wanted to know why Kingsley wanted the red boy. Kingsley simply requests that he get him unharmed. With little to no choice, the kaoticon immediately pinpoints his location and gives chase.
Episode 22 – Argon's Assault
Hughes, Linda, and Guin continue to run to where the others are at full speed. Guin leads them using his keen sense of smell to track the car fumes. But Linda detects a powerful being suddenly back where the other kaoticon was. She then tracks it zooming past them overhead, going in the direction where Erb and the others are.
Maude, O'Neill, Samantha, Umi, Ofelia, Sylvia, Éclair, and Erb are making their way to the hatch. But they are suddenly stopped by the appearance of 6 mobile suits landing around them. They hear Lyle's voice coming from one of them, calling out his sister. Lyle tracked her down using the tablet she stole, and simply wanted to bring her back. He and 5 others boarded the mobile suits for protection against the monsters outside, though they have yet to encounter one. Éclair steps out of the car to convince her brother to take the others with them. Ofelia gets out as well and lets them know she is a HOD agent. She inquires if they are aware of the erbanian army that was coming, but Lyle informs her they had gathered reports of what was left of them destroyed. Lyle initially wanted to bring only his sister, but seeing as how she managed to bring the others this far, he finally gives in.
But they are interrupted by Argon taking out 2 of the mobile suits in a flash. Lyle and his men take to the sky and open fire, while Ofelia grabs Éclair back into the car. Maude drives away from Argon who proceeds to slaughter the armed men. However, Argon grabs a piece of falling debris and throws it at the car's rear end, causing it to crash into a tree. Erb and the others swiftly get out, but Maude has suffered a broken leg and several ribs. O'Neill and Ofelia try to carry her, but Maude tells them to give her the sniper rifle in the trunk and leave her behind. Argon continues to kill Lyle's men, and Lyle was the last to die. Éclair watched her brother's mobile suit explode, and fell to her knees in despair. Sylvia and Erb try to get her back up, while O'Neill yells at them to continue running. But Argon instantly appears before the group – specifically in front of Erb.
Argon begins to converse with them telepathically, telling them to remain where they stand or else, he will kill them. He hid the fact that he needed the red boy alive, and in case Aurora does discover his location, he can use them as leverage. Ofelia, hysterical over his monstrous presence, didn't heed his warning, takes out her pistol, and shoots Argon in the head. He was unhurt and cuts her head off with a hand swipe out of retaliation and as an example, in case the others plan to do the same. O'Neill had the same intention as Ofelia but seeing her get killed so easily made him rescind his thoughts. Erb and the others were too shocked to even move and did as he said. Sadly, Maude, who was positioned behind her car, shot Argon with her assembled rifle. But this time, he catches the bullet with 2 fingers and then flicks it back at it her, killing her instantly. O'Neill shouts in despair over his friend's death. Suddenly, Argon senses a few of the natives approaching him from behind, but one of them speeds toward him.
Guin, having just seen his niece die, took the sword off of Hughes's hand, rushes at Argon, and swung the blade at him. Argon takes a simple sidestep back to avoid it and cleaves the leopard man in 2 with his tail. Hughes and Linda stop in their tracks upon seeing his death. Argon was about to kill them as well but stops upon inspecting the sword on the ground. He then realizes it belonged to Aurora but couldn't sense either her magic or aura in it. He can only assume it is imbued with her divine powers. He confirms it after focusing his senses to detect divinity. Now that he had a piece of her, he did not need to touch her anymore; he can simply absorb what was in the sword. Argon was about to pick it up until Umi finally awakens, and conjures his most powerful offensive spell, trapping Argon in a prismatic sphere. He waited for the right moment for the monster to relax his guard, and now that he did, he tells the others to flee. Erb takes the moment to grab the fallen sword and escapes with the others. Samantha wanted to stay behind to help Umi but O'Neill carries her off.
Umi manages to keep Argon contained despite the monster's immense strength. Despite his immunity to being affected by magic, Argon couldn't stop his energy from leaving him rapidly. Umi's spell saps the individual's energy while using what it stole to strengthen the barrier surrounding it. At the same time, the barrier would shrink to crush the individual inside. However, the spell requires the user's life force to be maintained long enough for the subject to expire. Umi has secretly taken some of the sword's power for himself, to increase his odds of successfully pulling off his spell. However, he startlingly sense Argon was still gaining more power faster than the prison can steal away and caused the exterior to crack. Umi was unable to understand why he was regaining his strength in mere instants even though he shouldn't. Before he could do anything, Argon breaks out completely, but the accumulated energy stored in the prison explodes.
Erb and the others were still running when an energy explosion races toward them, and Aurora's sword lights up in time to protect them all. However, the force of the blast travels across the world and reaches the Seven Sentinel. The Seven Sentinel absorbs most of it, but the entire surface of the planet was vaporized.
Episode 23 – The Armored Fiend
Aurora and Kingsley detect Argon's outburst. Aurora was surprised to know he was still alive whereas Kingsley was annoyed to see him not hiding and instead, doing the exact opposite. Both of them wanted to go back to check on their respective parties, but neither one of them gave the other the chance to do so.
Erb and the others survive the blast but the surrounding area had turned into a scorching desert with only the ground under their feet remaining intact. Hughes warns them to stay inside the barrier, treating this as a nuclear hazard. Further away, Argon was severely injured from his explosion. He recovers from his outburst and furiously locates the natives. In mere seconds he attacks the barrier they are in, while angrily demanding for them to hand over the sword. However, Hughes deduces the monster is unable to break through and can tell he had been greatly weakened by how much slower he was moving. Argon concludes he is unable to penetrate their defense. However, he can sense the power of the sword radiating from the shield. He places his hand on it and uses his absorption power. Samantha can sense Argon was stealing the power of the shield. Wanting to take revenge for her mentor, she takes the sword from her brother and stabs it through Argon's hand. Samantha then releases all of its power, creating an outward explosion that takes out his upper torso. The barrier protecting Erb and his friends disappears and they were blasted back. However, the blast emitted by the sword purified and cooled down the surrounding environment, making it habitable.
Erb gets back on his feet and runs to Samantha, only to find her arms were blown off. Due to her mishandling of the sword's power, her body, unable to contain it, suffered the consequences. Erb went silent from the despair, but Argon remains alive, regenerating back to normal. Hughes chooses to engage for the chance to kill it while it was weakened, and O'Neill, seeing his sister on death's doorsteps, begins to shoot at Argon out of anger. Hughes takes Aurora's depleted sword and uses his wind magic to move around Argon. But the kaoticon arm swipes him aside, breaking all of the man's bones, and sends him tumbling away. O'Neill's bullets did nothing to the monster, and Argon kills him by biting his head off and then proceeds to devour his entire body for the sake of boosting his healing factor even by a little. Linda remains with Sylvia and Éclair but was unable to join the fight out of hopelessness. Argon then approaches the girls to eat them too, but Erb runs at him with a vengeful battle cry. The purple behemoth roars at him, and although he couldn't kill the boy just yet, he instead intends to break his will – turn him into a soulless puppet.
Unfortunately, when he peers into his psyche, he first meets a black hole outlined by faint red embers. Afterward, it quickly expands far past his peripheral view, and a large eye the size of a planet stares down at him. Horrified by the unknown being, Argon instinctively attacks it with a hand strike. The eye disappears and he instead kills Erb by accident, impaling him through his abdomen region with his bare hands. Shocked by what he had done, he threw his body aside and tried to recollect himself. Linda, Sylvia, and Éclair were shocked to see their friend brutally killed. But Sylvia, with her new eyesight, was able to perceive a strange black and dark red aura surrounding the boy's body. They all then watch him stand back up, prompting Argon to fire an energy blast at him out of fear. The shockwave from his blast blew back the girls away. Linda catches sight of Samantha and manages to maneuver herself through the air to get her. Much to Linda's joy, she can sense her energy signature still active, though only barely. Argon then observes through the smoke a black figure standing. The black figure had red cracks form all over its body, and a horn-like crown sprouted from its forehead. Its face cracks open to reveal razor-sharp teeth and 2 red eyes, and lets out a roar that shook the entire planet.
As Aurora and Kingsley continue their battle, a large powerful energy signature resonating from the Earth stops them. Kingsley was utterly speechless upon detecting the beings he had been searching for is on the planet, and his instincts of the boy were correct – he is their host. He then became ecstatic over his discovery, yet, out of a sense of priority, he proposes to the princess a cease-fire to deal with the new threat. She demands an explanation, but he only mentions that the being they are sensing is what he calls, the Armored Fiend; he had long been searching for it for the chance to capture it. He believes Aurora can stop the monster with her most powerful sealing spell, Heaven's Fall. She wanted to know how he knew of her spell, but he withheld that information. He urges her on the importance of them cooperating or else the beast will pose a problem too great for them to deal with. Aurora, sensing the man wasn't lying, chose to work with him for the time being. However, Kingsley omits the fact that the Armored Fiend is the red boy she saved before, and when they capture him, he will capture her as well.
Episode 24 – Heaven's Fall
Argon, faced with an enemy he could not fight, but was also unable to escape from due to the seven sentinels, chose to destroy the planet instead, in hopes of killing it. He takes flight and quickly charged the strongest blast he can muster. However, the Armored Fiend had already fired a red-black beam. He attempts to get out of the way but gets grazed while it breaks through the seven sentinels.
Linda kept the girls down to avoid the powerful shockwaves. When it stopped, she takes it upon herself to observe the aftermath. But she astonishingly encounters what was once Erb, standing in front of her. She didn't know whether he was still sane or not. Sylvia however, can see the black and red aura seemingly trying to take over the entire body, but the same bright red he originally had is still active and struggles to push back. That leads her to think he is still in there, and that was the reason he hasn't attacked them yet. She was about to share this information with Linda, until Aurora jets in between them and kicks the armored fiend far away.
Kingsley attacks it during mid-flight, and the monster angrily engages him. Aurora stays near the girls, putting up another protective barrier around them as well as healing their injuries along with one other survivor close by. Samantha's hands are restored but remain unconscious. Aurora follows Kingsley's plan in which he keeps the fiend busy while she gets the sealing spell ready. But Linda swiftly informs her that the fiend is Erb, and Sylvia adds that, despite his aggressive behavior, Erb has not attacked them. Still, knowing that, Aurora wasn't confident in herself to stop him conventionally, not with the masked man around. As Kingsley continues to fight the armored fiend, he was able to turn the tables on it using his martial art skills and corrupting powers. However, he stops when several blades of the light trap the fiend and hears Aurora announcing her preparations were over. He backs away to let the spell commence. But Aurora aims the spell on him instead, trapping him in a prison of light. Kingsley rages over her betrayal and naïve intentions to save Erb. Aurora activates Heaven's Fall and sends Kingsley deep into space - far away from Earth.
With him gone, Aurora performs another Heaven's Fall on her friend. She knew the masked man didn't fully understand what Heaven's Fall was since he stated it as a sealing spell. Heaven's Fall is not only a sealing spell but a binding spell meant to give the target a punishment most deserving to them. In Kingsley's case, his desire to obtain the Armored fiend's and Aurora's powers lead him to be sent far away from them – forever out of their reach. She hopes it will constrict whatever entity took over Erb and set him free. However, she quickly discovers the bind was not taking effect as he was breaking out of it. Nonetheless, while the armored fiend is trapped, she takes a different approach and uses Perception on it in hopes of getting into his mind.
Aurora succeeds in entering his mindscape but is met with a large gigantic eye with the boy trapped inside. She tries to get in but upon entering the eye, she suffers immeasurable pain. Nevertheless, she pushes forward, and eventually, grabs Erb. But the power of the mysterious being that has taken over him spreads into her. She then feels his helplessness, rage, desire, and despair. His emotions cause her to recall the events of her past.
Episode 25 - Redemption
Several years ago in the Major Canis Dwarf galaxy, on a different world with 2 moons, Aurora finds herself walking through a bazaar alone at night. She enjoyed the bustling life and bumps into one of the native children who was innocently playing a game of tag. The child dropped an item, and Aurora went to pick it up and give it to them. The child takes it, smiled at her, and ran away. Abruptly, she wakes up in a blackened landscape - the aftermath of her fight with a powerful kaoticon. She remembers images of herself being born and laying in her mother's arms alongside another baby – her supposed twin sister. But she then watches herself activating Deus unknowingly, creating a powerful blast, killing her mother and sister in the process. Afterward, the images shift to just earlier before, and she sees herself rampaging uncontrollably, destroying her enemy and the world she was tasked to protect. Seeing the same 2 moons from before staring back down at her, led her to wallow in despair and anger over the death of millions, including her mother and sister.
As Aurora's psyche was about to break from the guilt and sorrow, she hears the voice of Deus snapping her back to reality, returning outside of the eye. Deus had been restoring her consciousness and shielding her from the influence of the entity. After recuperating, she attempts again to rescue Erb. This time, Deus helps her and uses all of its power to do the same to the boy. As Aurora gets closer while enduring the pain, she acts as the medium connecting Deus to Erb. She soon reaches him again, and this time, she views his memories, learning of his upbringing. She learns of him having no memories of where he came from, or who his real parents were, and seeing his own family – the only people who got him out of his lonely existence - getting hurt and killed. Being unable to stop the tragedy, only set him further off the edge. She had experienced the same type of loneliness – languish and self-hate - and can sympathize. But she reminds him that he wasn't weak, he is much stronger and braver than he gives himself credit for. She brings up all of his positive memories out in the open, showing images of himself finding a place to belong through his mother adopting him and finding his passion for writing – creating worlds from his thoughts. Erb was finally able to regain his sanity and fights to free himself. But the influence of the being continues to swallow him and Aurora whole. Deus tries to save them, but its power alone wasn't enough.
Suddenly, both Erb and Aurora spot a green-haired woman who repels the entity away from them. Her sudden presence put Aurora on guard, but the boy remembers her. The lady offers him a way to fix all of this, by handing him the same golden light she held in front of him from before. But the woman also warns him, that if he touches the light, he will suffer even more pain and loss in the near future. She asks if he still wants it, and Erb stated that he did not want the power, but needed it for himself and Aurora. The lady hands him the golden light and the moment he touches it, it explodes, taking him and Aurora with it.
Outside, the others saw the 2 of them shine brightly, and they get taken in it. The light then travels all across the planet, expanding outward, and touches the moon. Soon, it implodes, turning the darkness of space into a white empty plane.
In the white plane, Erb's and Aurora's bodies remain side by side, sleeping. The green hair woman stands over them and converses with the monstrous entity who was moments away from taking over the boy. It angrily asked why she chose to intervene. Her response was that, since it had intervened by giving the boy some of its powers, she wanted to do the same, though, all she did was release the hatch that had kept him from growing. There was also the fact that she did not want their potential host to die before he even had a chance to be considered worthy. The entity then warns the boy will inevitably encounter other powerful individuals who reside on earth, and they may pose a threat to him. Still, she was rather excited to see his encounter with them and had confidence he will grow to be the host they long sought after. As for the matter of the planet being gone, she informs it that their acquaintance was already done fixing it, and with a snap of her finger, everything turned black.
Episode 26 – Restoration
Erb opens his eyes and is welcomed to a black void, alone. He then feels his body becoming warm and sees himself glowing in a bright red and gold glow. The intensity made him shut his eyes. But when he opens them back up again, he is on his bed, with Aurora beside him. Soon after, she wakes up too, confused and skeptical. He was feeling the same, and they both asked one another what had happened. Much to their surprise, they recall the events of the invasion and thought it may have been a dream until Erb points out that Aurora's hair is long. The only explanation she could think of was the side effect of using Deus; for some reason, her hair grows longer when she transforms, and after she stops using it, her hair remains that way. The fact that it's suddenly long could only mean what they dreamt of was real, which lead Erb to recall he had died at the hands of the purple kaoticon, yet, is still very much alive. Aurora then mentions if he recalls his experience after he died. All he could remember was their short interaction with the green hair woman – he doesn't remember what he did in between. Aurora fills him in about the existence of the Armored Fiend, and he was terrified to know that it was inside of him.
They are soon interrupted by Linda barging into the room in pure bewilderment. She too remembers what happened and rushes to Erb's room to ask, unable to think it was all a dream. But after seeing Aurora sporting the same long hair as she did before, she found her answer. They are soon joined by Samantha, who made the same inquiry. They were all unable to understand what was happening, but the sound of Kana shouting at them to get ready for school, made Erb check the time. To his surprise, he reads today's date was the same as before – it was Monday.
In the Argones Estate, Sylvia abruptly wakes up to what she thought was a nightmare. Her maids enter her room over the commotion, but she sends them away after calming herself. She finds her phone to see today is the same day, giving her some relief - it was all in her head. After opening up the curtains just to get some fresh sunlight, she spots a bird in the distance, and out of the spur of the moment, she winces her eyes to see if she did have powers of her own. But she was frightened to suddenly see the bird up close as though it was right in front of her. Her loud yelp causes the servants to come back, but she sends them away again while not looking at them, saying a bird had scared her. They left, and Sylvia went to a mirror, discovering her eyes are glowing.
At the house, an hour had passed after Erb and the others went to school and Kana went out to buy groceries. She is at home alone and cuts her hair so that Kana wouldn't be confused by her looks – she had yet to see her before leaving. But after she self-inspected herself, she slowly notices there was something wrong – she felt something was missing. Before she could think further, she senses a magical presence outside and goes on to investigate. She gets to the front entrance and meets a man who greets her by stating her full name. The man reveals himself to be Agent Hughes.
Erb, Samantha, and Linda went to school as though nothing had happened, but stayed in contact with one another via text message. Erb, during class, texted in the chat regarding what'll happen if the same events were to unfold. Samantha made sure to bring her wand this time, but Linda had little confidence in dealing with the kaoticons like before. They all anxiously pray that Aurora can deal with them again. Linda then writes as to whether or not Sylvia or Éclair also remembered since they were with them. Erb takes it upon himself to text Sylvia to find out, until an anonymous user joins their chat. The anonymous user reveals themselves to be Éclair. Éclair, like them, woke up with memories of before, but upon seeing her brother alive, she passed it off like nothing else. However, her intuitive nature leads her to hack into Erb's device and spy on him just in case. Based on his conversations thus far, she deduced they are also aware. Éclair even mentions Aurora was an alien, a detail she shouldn't have known before the invasion. Suddenly, one of the faculty teachers came into the room, asking for Erb and Linda to come with them to the principal's office. From there, the 2 of them left their class. On the way, they spot Samantha across from them, heading into the same place where 2 black-suited agents stand. Erb recalls them to be Victor and Ofelia, but out of caution, he feigns ignorance of their identity. They are led inside and meet Hughes with Sylvia and Aurora already present. Sylvia was asked to come a little earlier than the others. Hughes tells Victor and Ofelia to remain outside. After the door is closed, Hughes then places a spell in the room, using the wind to block any sound from leaving. He then reveals the fact that he too has visions of the events that are to happen later today.
Episode 27 – Revelation
Hughes was finished inquiring about what everyone had remembered, including Éclair who joins them via a video call through Erb's dos pad. Erb asks what they are to do about the impending invasion. Aurora divulges that she would no longer be able to fight them, after finding out she had lost the majority of her power. The only clue she could find for her sudden loss was from her attempt to save Erb. It was the first time she used Deus's in such a manner and there were too many variables for her to conclude why she ended up this way, and why Deus is unresponsive to her calling.
Hughes shares with Erb the fact that the photo he had shown him of Kepler 22b is gone; he did not receive any information or news from any space observatories regarding any changes to the earth-like planet. Éclair quickly confirms that by hacking into the databases of nearby same observatories and didn't find anything to report on. Sylvia brings up the chance that the aliens may also have remembered, skipped it, and are currently on their way to Earth. Hughes had considered that possibility and inquiries Aurora on their chances if their planet's entire military force is capable of fending them off. Aurora tells them they would have no chance, mainly due to 2 individuals; the purple behemoth, Argon, and his black-masked companion, Kingsley. She states Argon's strength is equal to hers when she was at full strength, but Kingsley is even stronger to the point where she was forced to use Deus. She knows if either one of them is enough to lay waste in their world; she would not be able to stop them.
Hughes however, notes that there is one other person who could deal with them and points out Erb. While he was on the edge of death after having his entire body crushed, he witnessed the boy's transformation and dealt with Argon effortlessly, including the masked man. But Erb mentioned he had no recollection of what he was doing and how to even use it. Aurora points out that it would be better if they didn't rely on that for their and Erb's safety. Erb then brings up how Hughes had survived his injuries. Hughes's wind magic had helped him remain alive – filling his lungs with oxygen and keeping his heart beating - long enough for both Aurora to heal him, and when the bright light they produced engulfed them.
Éclair then informs them of a strange key detail she came across from the current notes being exchanged from the observatories. She reads the current star charts and planet alignments are off by one day ahead. The scientists treated it as a glitch or a strange but minor phenomenon, but Éclair suggests the idea that today may actually be Tuesday, and everyone, besides the people in the room, is led to believe it is still Monday. She also did some more digging on Kepler 22b and sends to Erb the most recent photographs of it and an old photo that was taken a few days ago. He shows it to the others, and they all see a significant difference between the 2; the old one appears normal, but the new photo shows the once green areas being more greyish and yellow. With that, the group concluded the events of the invasion could have happened yesterday, which would mean Éclair's theory could be correct – the day did not reset but was overwritten. With the possibility of an invasion now significantly lower, Hughes then brings up the matter of Aurora's existence and suggests she turns herself in. He believes if she meets with his superiors and is truthful about her intentions, they could be willing to accept her, and maybe even help her adjust to their world. Erb wasn't keen on the plan, but Aurora thinks it may be the best course of action. The boy then questions if his agents also remember, but Hughes knows they didn't since they were not as shaken up as he was when he first awakened. Then a new thought is brought up by Samantha who had kept herself quiet; she inquires as to what time everyone woke up. Much to their surprise, they all had roughly the same time, and so Samantha guessed the only reason they remember was that they survived the incident; everyone else who died, including the people who were with them, were spared of the memories. But this thought made Éclair wonder if the people in the bunker also remembered – if they somehow managed to survive it. She shares it with them, but Aurora confirms there were no other living energy signatures she detected throughout the planet – they were the only survivors.
Episode 28 – New World, New Purpose
After their meeting, Erb and the others were sent back to their classrooms with a cover story set up by Hughes if anyone asked – they were eyewitnesses to the arrest of Matthew and his group who were under the suspicion of a drug-related case. As the day went on and the time frame of the invasion long passed, they went about their day as normal.
By the time school was over, Erb wanted to go home early instead of going to his club activities. He is then joined by Sylvia, Samantha, and Linda and they planned to walk together across the bridge. But they earn a sudden visit by Éclair, waiting for them on the other side. The reason for her unannounced greeting was to take them out for a meal to celebrate their miraculous survival. Erb was about to decline, but the others take her offer, thus he was dragged along. The group then moves over to a high-class buffet restaurant. Everyone besides Éclair was surprised to be treated here due to how expensive it was. They were all taken to a private room and after their new friend said she would pay for their meals, they went out to get their fill.
After an hour of travel to the Hall of Defense headquarters by helicopter, Hughes and Aurora arrived and she was placed in a secured room by herself. She is soon transferred to a meeting room, greeted by Hughes, Darwin, and their superior, Rodul Cobalt. She remembers Darwin who already remains wary of her, but the birdman was new. Rodul starts their interview regarding who she is, why she came here, and how she arrived. Aurora made a quick recount of the events that led her to their world without telling a lie. She mentions the kaoticon fleet, but assures them they are no longer a threat due to their demise; she destroyed the fleet herself but at the cost of losing most of her powers – all technically true. Right now, she is simply waiting to be found by her people but has no idea how long that would take. Rodul was hesitant to believe her, and Darwin did not trust her whatsoever. But Hughes assures them she means no harm and believes her words after seeing her abilities for himself. Aurora then takes out her device and materializes Raida in the middle of the room. The men were shocked by the craft, and from there, Aurora offers both the Raida and the device she used to store as her bargaining chip – her people's technology in exchange for her residing in their world.
In the city, after Erb and the others had stuffed themselves, they went out on a stroll through the streets. He takes a moment for himself to wonder what exactly the green-haired woman had done to him. He recalls touching the golden light and hoped he had gained some type of power. But throughout the day, he didn't find signs of any changes in him – he felt normal. He then peers at Linda and remembers how she fought against the white creatures. He wishes to be as strong as her and Aurora and thought if Aber would train him again if he asked.
Episode 29 – Danger Still Looms
Evening arrives and Aurora and Hughes leave the airport. They returned from their trip to HOD headquarters, and Hughes drives Aurora back home. He once again congratulated her on how she conducted herself in their meeting. With the technology she provided, he deems it more than sufficient of a bargain for her to remain a citizen under certain conditions. The conditions are she is to keep her identity a secret, not to get involved in major conflicts without permission, and not to give away her technology to any other third party. Aurora had received all of the proper documents to prove her background and was allowed to go back. After Hughes drops her off at home, he questions what will she do next. Aurora plans to live in peace as best she can, while trying to find a way to get her powers back.
By the time Aurora came back home, Kana is the first to welcome her, followed by Samantha. Aurora then sees Erb, Aber, and Linda together in the backyard. They welcome her back, and although they wanted to know what happened, with Aber present, they kept that subject on the side. Instead, Erb tells her some good news – both he and Linda asked Aber to train them again, and he happily agreed. Starting tomorrow morning, they are to start, though Erb wasn't too keen on the idea of having to wake up early. But then Aurora thought of joining them, just to observe what their training was like. Aber allows her, then leaves after informing them to rest early and that he will wake them up when it was time.
With the old lizard gone, Linda also returns to her room as her food coma was settling in, leaving just Erb and Aurora together. Erb asks her what had happened with Hughes and she divulges what she can. After hearing she is allowed to stay and they will help her transition, he was thankful that things went smoothly. As for where she plans to live, she hopes Erb's mother would allow her to continue living with them. She also mentions Hughes's people will be giving her an allowance which she plans to use to repay them. He is confident his mother will accept her regardless of the payment - with enough begging from him. From there, Aurora questions what made him want to learn martial arts again. He simply does not want to have to feel helpless and hopes he can somehow use that power that was inside him. She was more than happy to help him on his journey, which he was thankful for.
Elsewhere, far from the earth and leaving Lagrange Point 1, Charles Richtofen and his entourage are aboard a space shuttle and are homing in on a small source of strange readings left behind by the phenomenon they witnessed. Like Erb's group, everyone at the base witnessed the planet being invaded by extraterrestrials only to end with a bright light enveloping them all. Afterward, they all awakened to a new world with memories of the old. Throughout the day, they were hypothesizing what had happened, gathering whatever data they can muster to help better explain the situation, but they eventually came to the same conclusion Erb's group settled on. However, despite knowing all of this, Charles ordered everyone to keep the events secret until otherwise. During their extensive analysis of the event, they were able to detect what they believe to be the residual radiation left behind by the light. Now, he and his men are in search of it. They soon came across the source and encounter the bleached remains of Argon's upper torso. With proof of the event in hand, and having a specimen to research, his plans of evolving humanity to a new age are now closer than he ever hoped.
In Velium city, in a small apartment, O'Neill slumbers in his room, with no memories of before. However, he receives brief images of himself in that event. After seeing a purple being eat him, and hearing its laughter as though it was inside his head, he wakes up startled from his nightmare and became uncertain as to what he just experienced. After a quick cup of water, he then went back to sleep and quickly pays it no mind. But unbeknownst to him, while he was unaware, the soul of Argon emerges out of him and the apparition laughs over his miraculous new lease on life.
