Two months later

"And what time will you be coming home?"

"I'll leave the studio around five-thirty, so I should be back around six-ish, baby."

"Okay. Well, I might stop by with Willow during your break. Do you have anything in particular that you want me to bring for you to eat?"

"Y-O-U." Fitz slowly spelled out as he eyed her up and down suggestively. Olivia playfully rolled her eyes at him and giggled. "Fitzgerald, stop it. Now seriously, what do you want to eat for your lunch?"

"Mmm, a burger and french fries will be fine."

"Babe, you really need to start eating healthier or you're going to get one of those big round bellies that most men have. Am I gonna have to put you on a strict diet like Clair Huxtable did with Cliff?"

Fitz shook his head and laughed at her. "Here we go with the famous Clair Huxtable." Olivia was obsessed with all things Clair Huxtable, she used references from The Cosby Show all the time. "Baby, this is just evidence of a life as a married man with children- which is one thing Cliff and I have in common. His stomach was bigger than mine though, and besides, my young girlfriend doesn't complain about it. She actually likes it so you shouldn't complain either."

"Excuse me," Olivia asked as she eyed him. Then, she grabbed a knife and began stalking towards him. "Repeat that for me, Fitzgerald. Your what?"

"Liv, it was just a joke!" Fitz chuckled as he began backing away from her.

"No. Tell me what you said. Say it again, Fitz." She dared him as she followed him around the kitchen.

"Ash! Nolan! Katie! Somebody help! Come get your mom!"

Olivia laughed as they went back and forth around the kitchen's island. "Scream all you want. They can't save your ass, Fitzgerald."

The boys and Katie came downstairs to the kitchen and they laughed when they saw Olivia basically chasing Fitz with a butter knife.

"What did you do this time, dad?" Nolan laughed.

"Nothing! Your mom is just crazy midget lady!"

Katie giggled. She absolutely loved seeing her parents play together. "Get him, mommy! Get daddy!"

Fitz looked over at his daughter with his hand over his heart, feigning as if her words had hurt him. "Wow, Katie! You're going to do daddy like that?"

"Yeees!" Katie giggled even harder as she twisted in place.

Olivia rolled her eyes at her husband dramatic antics and chuckled. "Okay, playtime is over. Go upstairs and get your things for school so Mr. Grant can drop you guys off."

Nolan and Asher did as they were told while Katie decided to stick around. The little missy had other plans in mind this morning. "Mommy, can I stway home with you and Willow, pleasee?"

"Baby, you have to go to school. I'm sorry," Olivia answered, looking down at her daughter. "Now go upstairs and grab your backpack and a jacket." She reminded her as she continued her task of washing dishes.

Katie sighed in defeat as she turned away from Olivia. When the little girl saw her father coming her way, she smiled brightly as she was struck with an idea. Then, she walked briskly, meeting him halfway in the hallway. "Daddy, can I stway home," she asked, putting on a real show. She had the puppy dog eyes going on all while using that cute, innocent little voice. It was always harder to work Olivia down, but she knew her daddy wouldn't be able to turn her down as easily. Momma's were always tougher.

"You don't feel good baby? Yes, you can stay," Fitz said without a second thought. Katie began to walk away as her smile returned to her face. Ha! Take that, mommy, she thought.

Unfortunately, the victory didn't last too long. Katie still hadn't learned that mother's had eyes and ears everywhere. "Katie Elise Grant!" Olivia called out. Katie cringed before she slowly crept back into the kitchen with Olivia, and now her daddy, too. She stood in the doorway with her eyes on Olivia and asked, "Yes, mommy?"

"What did I just tell you, Kat? You're going to school and that's final. Now go upstairs and get your things." Olivia instructed making Katie's face fall even more as she walked away.

"What was that for, Olivia? You could've simply told her no without all the yelling," Fitz said as he stood there in confusion.

"Babe, I did not yell at her. My voice barely even rose. And I had just told her no. I know you heard me say it." She sassed.

"From all the way in the living room, Olivia? All the way in the living room. How was I suppose to hear you say that from in there?" Fitz frowned with his hand in the air.

With a sigh, Olivia turned away from the sink and looked at her husband. "Okay well, I'm sorry, baby. I had already told her no because she asked me first, and then she turned around and asked you because she knows that you are weak and will let her do anything that she wants."

"Whoa. I'm what? I'm weak?"

Olivia smirked, nodding her head. "Yes sweetheart, you are. Especially when it comes to her, then I end up looking like the bad guy."

"Because you are."

"I am not!" She laughed, flicking water at him.

Olivia and Fitz playfully bickered back and forth until he grabbed her by her collar and yanked her up to place a kiss soundly on the lips. "Now shut up" he told her and she giggled, playfully pushing him away and calling the kids downstairs.

"Bye! Have a good day at school," she said, kissing the boys cheeks. She was just happy that they still allowed her to. Once she got to Katie, she spent a few extra minutes with her making sure that she was ok and apologized. "I love you, sweet girl. And mommy is sorry for 'shouting'. I want you to have a good day and learn something, so when you grow up you'll be smart like mama," she said, smiling.

"I love you too, mommy." Katie smiled back. Then, Olivia sent her out the door with Asher and Nolan. Olivia then turned to her husband and grinned. "Goodbye, Mr. Grant."

"See you lata', Mrs. Grant. I love you," he said, then kissed her again.

"I love you too, troublemaker." She teased.

Fitz chuckled as he went out the door. He felt so lucky that he got to marry and procreate with his best-friend. She was simply the best.

Olivia finished cleaning and putting away the dishes from this morning's breakfast, then she went upstairs and grabbed a fussy Willow from her crib. "I know, I know, sweet girl," she said as she sat in the rocking chair. Olivia lifted her shirt and unfastened her breastfeeding bra, then she began to feed her seven month old baby girl.

"Mama loves you so much, Willow," she cooed softly as she stroked her daughter's cheek. In return, Willow grinned as she clenched her mommy's gold heart shaped necklace charm in her tiny brown hand.

Once Willow had her full, Olivia carried her into the bathroom with her and ran water for a bath. Whenever the tub was full with the perfect temperature of water for her and her baby, she got in the tub with her little girl. Willow was sitting up all on her own across from Olivia.

"You just gonna keep splashing mama, huh," Olivia asked. Willow babbled and splashed more water in return. "Well whatever you do, just please do not pee or poop in mommy's water, ok, Lilo?"

Willow babbled even more.

"Good girl. Mommy appreciates your cooperation very much." Olivia smiled.

After they were both clean and smelling good, Olivia got her daughter dressed and styled her curly hair in two pigtails with pink bows. Once Willow was completely ready with her fresh baby scent, Olivia sat her in her bouncer then dressed herself. The outfit she decided to wear color coordinated perfectly with Willow's and that made her happy. Some days she still couldn't believe she had a little girl of her own. Well, two little girls. Katie was just as much as hers as Willow was.

Olivia's hair had been silk pressed, so it didn't require much work. After taking a comb to her head and getting out the few kinks, she decided to just wear it straight back over her shoulders with a middle part.

"Lilo, this is why mommy doesn't get out much when it's just you and I. This is just too much work for one person. But I told daddy that we would bring him lunch and if we don't, then he'll whine about it until the foreseeable future," Olivia said, packing her daughter's baby bag with extra clothes, diapers and wipes, and the milk she had pumped earlier in the day. All the moving around had her skin glistening with a light sweat. Her hormones and body temperature had been crazy every since having Willow.

Once she was done, she grabbed Willow and their things then headed downstairs. She walked through the mudroom and into garage to her car, she buckled Willow into her carseat then she got in, started the car and buckled herself. Olivia had a few errands to run first and she knew by the time she'd finished it would be around lunchtime which worked out perfectly.

But Fitz was still not getting a hamburger.

After running her errands, Olivia stopped to shop at a local deli that had food prepared and ready to eat. While in the large deli with Willow, she received so many compliments on how beautiful her daughter is and others congratulated her on her union with Fitz. "Thank you so much." Olivia smiled and waved goodbye to one of her young fans. She loved the fact that her music was still relatable for the younger generations.

As she continued to shop, her phone buzzed drawing her attention. When she checked to see who it was, she smiled seeing Fitz's name on the lock screen, then the face recognition unlocked her phone allowing her to read his text. "Fitz... Nasty ass," she said aloud before she giggled to herself at his message which suggested that they should have sex in his office like old times whenever she arrived.

"Damn, you still look as good as you did back in '94." A familiar voice said. Olivia dropped her phone back into her purse then turned around to see the face that voice belonged to. "Edison? Edison Davis?"

Edison smiled and nodded. "In the flesh, baby."

"Oh my god! It's been ages! How have you been," Olivia asked as they briefly hugged.

"I've been good. Real good. How about you?"

"I'm great! I can't complain," Olivia smiled as she took a step back towards the shopping cart that her daughter was in.

"I know that's right," he said, looking her up and down seductively. Olivia shifted under his gaze, but she didn't say anything. "Damn, you haven't changed a bit, Liv."

Olivia laughed meekly as she waved him off, making sure to show off her ring. "Only my last name."

"Huh? Your last name?"

In the sassiest manner, Olivia sucked her teeth and threw out her hip as she placed her hand on it and said, "Oh, come on, Edison! Don't act like you don't already know or you haven't heard."

"I'm kidding, Olivia," he said as he laughed at her mannerisms. Of course he had heard, and if he hadn't, the stunning ring on her finger told it all. "Congratulations to you and to Fitzgerald- on the marriage and the baby. Is that her," he asked, peeping at the shopping cart Olivia had a tight grip on.

Olivia smiled as she looked over at her daughter who wasn't paying neither of them any mind while she sucked on her fingers. "Yes. This is my sweet girl, Willow Grant."

"She's beautiful, Liv. But are you sure she isn't our baby? Doesn't she kind of look like me?" Edison joked making Olivia laugh and shake her head no. "Absolutely not. My baby is the perfect mix of her father and myself. And wouldn't the timing be just a little off if she was your baby?"

Edison nodded and chuckled, "Yeah, just a little off." Olivia smiled before looking at her wrist to check the time on her Apple Watch- time was winding up, "Well, it was good seeing you, Edison, but we have to go now."

"I didn't mean to run you off," he quickly said as he reached out and touched Olivia's arm. It had been years since he had last seen her and he really didn't want to see her go just yet.

Olivia shook her head no again. "Oh no, we really do have to go. Fitz is at work and wants to see his girls."

"Well, before you go, can- um- can I at least get your number, just to keep in touch," Edison asked. Olivia looked at him, keeping a straight face. Lord, if she had known that she was going to run into Edison Davis then Fitz would've gotten the hamburger and french fries he'd asked for just so she could avoid the man standing in front of her. He was the same old Edison; slick as ever. Unfortunately for him, this time around, she was happily taken and he was certainly not worth losing Fitz- the love of her life. "I don't think that would be appropriate. I'm married, Edison. Happily married."

"Oh, come on, Liv? Just as friends?"

"If Fitz were here, right now, would you be asking for my number, Edison? Even as a 'friend'?"

She knew she had him then. Of course he wouldn't be. That was all bull. She knew it, and he certainly did, too.

Edison grinned, putting up his hands in surrender. "You're right, Olivia. I apologize. I guess I'll see you around? Have a good rest of your day. It was great seeing you."

Olivia waved as he walked off. "You too."

Once there was distance between them, Olivia exhaled the breath she was holding and looked down at Willow. "Girlfriend, I am so glad that I sent your sister to school today. There's no telling what she would've said to daddy."

"So what did you and him talk about?"

Olivia and Willow were now at the studio with Fitz. She had decided to go ahead and explain what transpired between her and Edison so nothing could catch him off guard.

"Fitz, we were literally just catching up, honey. I only mentioned it to you because I'm pretty sure someone snapped a picture of us talking and I just wanted to tell you that I ran into him before it got out and all, or if any, rumors started." Olivia explained as she handed him his lunch. Then, she sat down with Willow and bounced her on her knee.

"Oh."

Olivia sighed, frowning at her husband. "What do you mean 'oh'? Fitz, don't tell me that you're mad. It's not even that serious, baby."

Fitz frowned back, looking at her as if she had grown two heads in front of him. He chuckled annoyedly before saying, "So what he said about Willow isn't that serious, Olivia? Because I'm sure if a woman, who was an ex of mine, had said some ridiculous shit like that to me about our daughter then you would not be as calm and dismissive as you are right now."

"Really? What should I have done or said to him, Fitz? I certainly wasn't going to argue with the man about it! I know that Willow doesn't look shit like him! Hell, he knows that! And you do too!"

"That's...that's not the point, Olivia." He huffed before waving her off. His blue eyes eventually fell onto his daughter, who just happened to be looking back at him and knew then that he needed to calm down. He didn't want to argue with Olivia, especially not in front of their little girl. "Whatever. Hand her here."

"So, what is your point." Olivia poked. Clearly she wasn't ready to move on from the conversation just yet. Fitz ignored her question by asking for Willow again. "Let me hold my daughter, Olivia."

"First, answer my question."

Fitz took a deep breath, trying to keep his temper in check. "Olivia, I'm not joking. Let me see my daughter."

"Neither am I, Fitz. Answer my question."

Before another word was said, Cyrus walked into Fitz's office and Olivia rolled her eyes at the irruption- plus she and Cyrus hadn't never gotten along well, but she tolerated him most days. Unfortunately, today was not most days.

"Oh, I- I didn't mean to interrupt," Cyrus said, looking between Fitz and Olivia. He didn't know Olivia was in and he could tell that there was tension between his boss and his wife. He was not trying to make matters worse. All he wanted was to do his job and go. He was entirely too old for the drama.

"You're good man. What's up," Fitz asked, looking at Cyrus and inviting him all the way in.

"Um it's- nothing...nothing. You know what, I'll handle it and tell you about it later."

Fitz seemed to catch his drift and nodded his head. "Ok, that'll work. That's cool."

Olivia frowned. She had worked with both of them for long enough to know when they were trying to hide something. "No. No, what's going on that can't be said in front of me?"

Fitz couldn't help but to roll his eyes. Olivia was really starting to piss him off. This was not how he imagined their lunch date going. "Nothing, Olivia."

"You, shut up," she said, pointing her finger at Fitz, then she faced Cyrus. "Cy, what's going on?"

"Olivia, I can't say. It's a business matter." He easily lied to her (the main reason Olivia couldn't stand his ass now). "Cyrus, you can go. I'll get back with you later," Fitz said, giving him an out.

Cyrus happily walked out and before Fitz knew what was happening, Olivia was placing Willow into her stroller. He got up from his seat behind his desk and walked up behind her, grabbing her by the waist. "Fitz, move. Don't touch me." She hissed.

"Where are you going," he asked, turning her around so she was facing him.

"No. Leave me alone, Fitz. I'm serious."

"Liv, seriously? Why are you upset? You don't even have a real reason to be upset right now. What Cy and I were talking about is none of your business, you're just nosy as hell." Fitz chuckled. Olivia bit the inside of cheek to keep from smiling as she rolled her eyes at him. He was right. She was just overreacting, but what annoyed her even more was the fact that he could so easily make laugh when she was supposed to be upset with him. "Shut up, Edis-"

At that moment it was like time stood still. Olivia's heart thumped in her chest once she realized what she'd said- almost said. Fitz dropped his arms from around her waist and stood in place. He clutched his hand into a tight fist as he glared at her. "What the hell did you just call me, Olivia?"

Olivia looked at him with pleading eyes. "Fitz- Baby, I am so sorry. I'm sorry, baby. I- I didn't mean to say that. I don't know why I said that."

Tsk, tsk, tsk... Olivia, Olivia, Olivia...
