Tales Of Demiyah Oliver Book 2: Sailor Moon
Chapter 9: Flame's Darkness Unleashed and Visions Revealed:
Demiyah carried her Crescent Moon Wand in her school bag and in her expanded belt pouch outside of school. She knew a Rainbow Crystal could pop up at any time. It worried her in the event that she wouldn't get there in time and a Shadow Warrior would be awakened. She also knew the crystals could be sealed in Anyone! Artemis told her that the Crescent Moon Wand had a special sensor to track the Crystals when it picked up the energy signals of the different Crystals. Demiyah managed to convince the others to wait to collect the Crystals and reforge the Silver Crystal before going to the remains of the Moon Kingdom. Something just told her it was the right call. Trista wasn't always available to fight as she was searching for other Scouts. She kept looking for Sailor Nemesis but wasn't turning any results. She started looking in other worlds but had to keep on the down low. If the attack by Luxu the night before was anything to go by then Diomedes had already started on more of the big plan. And they may not be able to save all of the World's citizens.
Demiyah was at the Cyber Space for the first time in weeks hanging out with the Dino Thunder team. Her wand was going off like mad. But the puzzling thing is she didn't know which of the Dino Team was the Holder. They had a large team. More than ten Rangers which made the largest team in operation in a single city! SPD technically had fifteen, but five were off world and two came from the future. Orange was a prototype Morpher that Boom managed to fix. If there was anything that Demiyah knew for certain thanks to the Spirit of her Gem teaching her if someone can fix a broken Morpher then it's usuallly for a reason. So going by that logic the power inside the Morpher chose Boom. After discussing it with Cruger, they agreed to allow Boom to keep the portotype Morpher once they gave it a more permenant power source along with Kat Manx's own Morpher. Really a disposable Morpher what was Admiral Birdie thinking with that? Did he not realize that the wrong people could reverse engineer something from even disposable tech?
Once the mini reunion party broke up only leaving Krista, Demiyah, and Takuya the Wand started beeping like crazy! Takuya asked, "What in that belt pouch of yours is going off like a Klaxxon?" Demiyah asked, "Hayley, could Krista and I trouble you for use of your upstairs apartment?" Before the red head could answer Zoisite and Nephlite appeared. Demiyah threw a spell at them as did Krista. Demiyah said, "Hayley, Takuya run!" Zoisite chased after them as Nephlite fought the Scouts. By the time they were able to get away Zoisite extracted the Crystal with her Dark Crystal. Demiyah summoned her Blaster and shot Zoisite's hand kocking the Rainbow Crystal out of it. Hayley catching and running. Takuya warped into what looked like a strange fire creature. Zoisite grinned and said, "Nightmare Flame attack those who stand against our queen!" Demiyah as Sailor Moon cursed. "Cosmos damn it! Mercury has a fever and was sick while Neptune has a concert. We don't have an ice or water user. Unless...that's it!" She pulled out a blue crystal charm. "Awaken Shark Boy!" A torrent of water emerged from the crystal as the afformentioned Shark Boy appeared. He said, "Two years since you got that charm and now your using it? Better late than never. What's the problem?" Demiyah said, "Zoisite the chick with the ponytail turned my cousin into that fire monster. We have to weaken him enough so I can use my wand to heal him. We need your water power to help."
Shark Boy did his best to help but Takuya's fire attacks were too strong. "How is his fire magic so strong?!" Demiyah said, "I don't know!" The answer wouldn't reveal itself for a few years. Demiyah said, "This is ridiculous! Blizzara!" Shark boy's water attack combined with Demiyah's Ice spell and started weakening Takuya. Shark Boy and Demiyah looked at each other and said, "This works." The pair spammed their combo attack until Takuya's fire was barely an ember. Nephlite was thrown into the turned Ranger in an attempt to save face when Demiyah said, "Moon Healing Activation!" The pair were healed of their corruption and Demiyah was fast to hug her cousin to give him some comfort.
Once they made sure Takuya wasn't going to have any negative side effects from the corruption and making sure Nephlite or rather Nathan Maxwell Stanton was recovering properly Demiyah waited for her mother to come in. The two were talking about her join the local Stardust Girl Scout Troop. Demiyah wasn't sure but Kim had some compelling arguements.
Demiyah was driven to a meeting to see if you would like it. It seemed like every other Girl Scout group. Demiyah did introduce herself and met a girl named Katie Holt who lived at the local Garrison Base with her family. That day they were going on a nature hike through a magical part of the forests. Katie could name the non magical plants. One of the girls found a berry bush and was about to eat some when Demiyah said, "No don't! Those Syphillias Mercarius berries commonly called Mind Warper berries. Their commonly used in mind control potions or Thrall potions. We need to get back and call the Rangers. The laws state that a specially trained team have to remove the berries." The Den Mother was impressed she knew what the berries were. A girl got hurt from a thorny vine which Demiyah identified as Black Thorn Fairy vines. They had a paralyzing sap. She was quick to get Katie to fill her canteen with river water. While gathering Shimmer berries, clear stones that looked similar to water droplets, and the leaves of a fairy apple tree. She quickly mixed up a poultice to counteract the sap and binded the girl's leg. Once back in the city everyone was amazed at Demiyah magical plant knowledge. Which came from her father's garden and textbooks about them that he used to teach students with magic.
Once they were safe to leave the Den Mother Kara Ford who was Kira's mom said, "Well the Magical Flora Identification and First Aid Merit Badges were earned by Demiyah today, if she wants to join our Troop." Demiyah followed Kara into a seperate room. She returned to show she was dressed in the Stardust Scout Uniform which was a white shirt, a silver neckerchief, a silver skirt, a white beret, and a light blue sash with two merit badges sewn on. Kimberly took plenty of pictures. She got a backpack she would use for hikes or camping trips, a guidebook, and a compass with the logo of their troop on it. She added the fact that meetings were on Thursdays at three thirty. Stardust Camp was the first three weeks of summer break.
Demiyah came to the entrance to the Magical District with her parents. They had an appointment to keep. They entered the Healer's clinic and signed in. The Mediwitch smiled as she saw Demiyah. She asked Kimberly, "So what am I seeing Demiyah for this afternoon?" Kim said, "Demiyah has mentioned having very vivid dreams as of late. They happened occasionally during her tenure as the Pink Ranger last year. So we assumed her accelerated healing was just overpowered due to her gem being the physical manifestation of the Pink part of the Grid and her power was dream visions. But we know now her power is the healing ability. Her dream visions are making us concerned since they wake her up in the middle of the night. We usually are up around five thirty or so now. As opposed when Mesagog was around."
The Healer said, "Okay that is a little disturbing. So I will do some scans and run a couple tests. We will know in just a few moments." After running the needed tests her Healer Marissa said, "Okay so from what I see the dream visions are a natural part of her magical affinities. Though the fact she unlocked now as opposed to age sixteen is impressive. This means that she has a large reserve of magic in her core. However, I want to schedule an appointment with a specialist in two weeks to give you a bit more information and devise a plan to help her. Obviously you don't want to seal this gift. Lastly I want to schedule a procedure to help discover her magical affinities in their entirety. Normally we wait for a child to turn eleven and enter formal magic classes or specialized classes. However with her affinities showing earlier than normal, we need to do the procedure earlier. So she will need to get a check up from her regular doctor At least a week before. I'll call you when we have an available slot at the main magical hospital. Fair warning, she will need to stay in the hospital for three days after the procedure. It's this way, so her magic can settle after the procedure."
Kimberly said, "This is your magic kiddo, what do want to do?" Demiyah said, "I want to consult Trista first then talk to the specialist and the Healer who would do the procedure beforehand. I don't want to go into this half cocked. Or walk into a trap by Caroline by luck of her replacing the Healer with Polyjuice." Marissa chuckled, "Good call on that. Should I also insist on a runic array that traps anyone who tries to use Polyjuice? Even in the room after?" Demiyah nodded, "That would be a big help Marissa. Oh before I forget, what exactly is Shanila? Trista and mom brought it up to my Magical Girl team during a meeting."
Marissa said, "Shanila is traditionally the magical equivalent to puberty. Irregardless of if magic awakens it's affinities early like yours did you won't get your Shanila until your thirteen at the youngest and fifteen at the oldest. Your hair will shed until it's short. It means that you've completed your first stage of Magical Development. Physically it can last anywhere between three days to four months. Internally it lasts for six months. Magic is a little...Looney Tunes if I'm being honest. But spell casting will come easier during Shanila." Kimberly asked, "Do you have any booklets or pamphlets about Shanila so we can prepare for it? Oh does wielding a Keyblade affect Shanila at all?" Marissa checked her bookshelf, "According to my book here, Wielding a Keyblade makes no difference. How long has she had it? We may have to make a few adjustments to the standard procedure." Toomy said, "She manifested it when she was four. So three years as of next week. Which reminds me, We need to have her skills evaluated by either Mickey or Yen Sid. She's been pulling off some very advanced forms and manuveres if those parenting books Eraqus forwarded us for parents of kid or teen Keyblade Wielders are correct. We have extra copies in case Demiyah runs into others." Marissa said, "Anything in there about kids or teens who wake up two blades? My sister said her son materialized two keyblades last week." Demiyah said, "It's called the Sync Blade Ability. It's rare for one to have it. I'm a Sanada and we are naturally dual blade wielders. So our family powers are naturally Sync Blade. I have a couple of books at home I can make copies of for your nephew. Along with getting copies of the basic scrolls for spells." Marissa said, "This is the best help I could imagine. Here are the pamphlets and books about Shanila."
Demiyah went to bed that night still slightly confused at what her Healer said but she knew it would be a long time before she understood her powers.
