The sun was just over the hill, lighting up the world in a golden fire

The night chill grew still, a new day a man solely desire

The Earth slowly came to life, hopes and dreams are renewed

"Hey!"

"Ah!"

Damn it, Dean! What is it with him today?! First, he pretty much screamed at me to wake up because we were late. Then, he's pushing and shoving me around the house reminding me of what day it was as if I were a dumbass. The sun wasn't even out, and he said we were late. I highly doubted school started at the crack of dawn. Then I realized Dean still had no idea how to get to the high school. Now that we're here, he's shouting at me again.

I'm still struggling to stay awake. Thankfully, Dean made a quick cup of coffee before heading out. I quickly changed out of shorts and t-shirt, slipped on a pair of jeans and a plain black hoodie which seemed to have taken Dean by surprised. What can I say? I was way too tired to even pick out an outfit for the first day of school. I remembered to put on my rosary, giving me a sense of tranquility and it also helped me to focus on something else other than my nerves. Because Dean and Sam were leaving today, and I have zero idea when I'm going to see them again.

"Wake up back there, gotta talk to ya about a couple of things." Dean said over his shoulder, parking the car in front of a building.

I slouched in my seat, no way was I in the mood to talk about the day ahead. I mean, come on, I'm already freaked out enough. What else do they have to tell me?

"All set? Notebooks, folders, blah, blah, blah." Dean asked in a careless and yet compassionate tone. I took this moment to look at the school building.

It looked like any typical school; old looking made with faded red and dark orange brick with a long entry way. The building was one level, but very long it was hard to see where it ended. Could all of these be classes? Where the hell do I get first? I guess I'll just have to learn as I go. And I gotta be one of the first students here, not a lot of cars were in the parking lot and most of the staff were just getting in.

"Hey, you're suppose to fall asleep in class. Not in my car."

I didn't turn my attention away from the window when I answered.

"Do you have to go?" I asked, trying to hide the fear in my voice. It wasn't that I was afraid I would never see them again. I think I'm more afraid that they're leaving me to basically be alone. Bobby isn't my kind of company, Ryan and his kids are too busy with the farm. So I'll be the one suffering in silence.

What am I suppose to do?

"You'll be fine, Cas." Dean promised, putting his arm behind the passenger seat and turned slightly to look at me. "Just watch out for dicks and you'll do fine."

"Just enjoy your first day, don't make it too hard on yourself. You got everything?" Sam asked over his shoulder, a slight nervous edge in his voice. "Back pack? Lunch money?"

Dean groaned and shook his head, he lowered his arm and tilted his head back.

"Sam, he doesn't have lunch money, he doesn't have to. We've arranged for him to have free breakfast and lunch." I heard something different in Dean's tone when he spoke to Sam. To be honest, I don't care. I just want to get this day done and over with. "Things have changed since we were in school, if we ever attended school in this town."

"Can't remember." Sam paused, then looked back at me again, genuine care in his eyes. "But hey, Cas, Bobby will pick you up after school. Don't stress out too much, alright?"

"I'll try." Not sure if that was a lie, I'm not even certain if the 'try' will be whole hearted answer or if I just wanted to give one. "What about you guys?"

"We're going on a couple of jobs." I could hear the lie in Dean's voice. And he's not going to answer me. "You got your phone. My numbers in there. Just give me a call if you need to talk or somthin'."

"Ok. Well, thanks."
