It had taken some time to get everything ready, but eventually, Chloe and Ashley were all set to go. Pikachu jumped on Ashley's should Eevee jumped on Chloe's, and with that, the two raced out of the room.
Racing down the stairs, Chloe and Ashley said a quick farewell to Professor Cerise before racing out the door and making there way to the airport.
"Latias Air flight to the Sinnoh Regional Airport will start boarding in ten minutes, all travelers please report to gate E10."
Once the two girls had made it to the airport, thanks to Ashley's Swanna, they quickly found the gate number. After making it through the metal detector and security stuff, they were able to board the plain and take their seats.
As the plain got ready to take off, Ashley and Chloe looked at a map that showed where the dots of entertainment were located. Tapping the screen, Chloe zoomed In on the big purplish-red dot located near Twinleaf Town.
"So..." Chloe began, looking up from the map on her Rotom phone. "How exactly does a Pokémon Contest work?"
"A Pokémon contest is where Pokémon show off there moves and appeal in battle, then they show off there moves in a battle that can suck away there points based on how appealing the moves are." Ashley explained, "there are two main stages in Pokémon contest, the appeals round and the battle round." She continued.
Chloe blinked and put her hands on her chin in thought. "Ok then... I guess I'll have to work on helping Eevee with making her moves look appealing." She then turned to Ashley, who blinked and tilted her head to the side.
"What?" she asked, "Is there something wrong?"
Chloe shook her head and smiled cheekily up at her.
"Can I use you in the contest?"
Ashley blinked and thought about her question for a moment. After a short while, Ashley nodded her head with a bright smile on her face.
"Sure! Why not? Sounds like fun!" she exclaimed with a bright smile. "Although..." she frowned and stared down at her hands, which were clasped neatly in her lap. "It's gonna be kinda weird being used in a contest rather than being one of the ones participating in it."
Chloe blinked in confusion and Ashley rubbed the back of her neck with a sheepish smile. "I entered a few contests when I was Ash," she explained with a wave of her hand.
Chloe nodded her head in understanding. "Yeah, that makes more sense now." She said with a thoughtful look on her face.
"Anything else I need to know about contests?" Chloe asked.
"Actually yes, two things." Ashley said. "First, a lot of coordinators get dressed up to help make themselves look better, in order to impress the judges for style."
"I did know that," Chloe said. "I brought a dress for that."
"Good," Ashley said. "If you are going to use me in the contest then I don't need to worry about that. Second, in Sinnoh a lot of coordinators use ball capsules to release seals to make an entrance."
"So it would help if I had some," Chloe said looking through the Rotom-phones internet. "There we go. Found a site that let's you design your own seals and have it delivered in 48 hours, while the next contest is in 4 days. Enough time to get the seals, and practice."
"True," Ashley said as they looked through the seals, eventually ending up with a seal design that has stars making a heart, with the inside one big heart that breaks when the pokemon lands sending a bunch of smaller hearts in all directions.
"There we go," Chloe said.
"Good," Ashley said. "We can look into the energy signatures while waiting for the appeals. Now we just need to come up with an appeal. Also I do not know if it is regular format or double format, so that will decide what the appeal is."
"Regular or double?" Chloe asked.
"Regular is each trainer has a single Pokémon on the field." Ashley explained. "Double is each trainer has two Pokémon on the field at the same time."
"Oh," Chloe said thinking, "I'm hoping it is double format. That would give more Pokémon, thus more moves for Eevee to use Copycat, and will let you and Eevee help each other if either of you mess up. It is your first time as a Pokémon during this after all."
"True," Ashley said.
"Attention passengers." The intercom said. "We are about to start landing procedures at Sinnoh Regional Airport. Thank you for flying Latias Air."
"Looks like we are here," Ashley said.
"Now that we are here, do you want to practice first or find a hotel room?" Chloe asked getting her bag.
"Let's register at the contest hall first, then practice." Ashley said getting hers. "We need to find out what format it is, but after that, last time I was here, my friend Dawn showed me a good place to practice, and we will need the practice this will be my first time being commanded afterall."
"Right," Chloe said as they left the plane and headed to the contest hall.
