When they arrived they found an older man waiting for them in the vacation home.
"Hello," he said, "I am Director Clavell, the principle of your school informed me of what happened, so I came to wait for you. I welcome you to Uva Academy. It will be a few days before you can attend, so I ask you use this time to settle down, and get used to Paldea."
"Thank you," Chloe said.
"Zor!" Ashley agreed, causing Director Clavell to frown.
"Excuse me, Soleil." He said, "I was under the impression you could speak human?"
Ashly sighed, while Chloe pet her.
"That was part of the illusion, now that she can no longer use illusions she can't. Though I do know a Meowth that learned to speak human. I'll help her learn. Also her name is Ashley." Chloe said before explaining why.
"I see," Director Clavell said. "Either way it is fine. Though I do need to know what courses you wish to take. There are seven courses offered at the academy:
General Studies for general courses with no specialization.
STEM for science and research
Humanities for things like cooking
Business for learning what you need to own your own business.
Outdoor Survival for surviving in the wild
Contest Course for what you need to be a Coordinator
And
Showcase Course for what you need to be a Performer.
"What courses do you wish to take during your time at Uva academy?"
"That's hard…" Chloe said, "I need to learn how to survive in the wild in case Zoroark finds us, and I need to hide in the wild, so Outdoor Survival would be good. But we were also found out because of contests and never doing one again seems like letting her win, so the Contest Course is helpful as well."
"We do offer dual courses," Director Clavell said, "It takes more work, but more then possible."
"Zor!" Ashley cheered.
"Looks like Ashley wants that as well," Chloe said, before turning to Director Clavell. "I'll take Outdoor Survival and the Contest Course."
Using yes and no questions they figured out Ashley wanted to take the STEM and Contest courses.
"Very good, I will take my leave now, and get your papers in order," Director Clavell said before getting up, only to pause. "Oh yes. I almost forgot. I dropped off uniforms on the bedroom beds for the two of you. As students you are required to wear the uniform at all times. We had to get Ashley's specially made, luckily there are Zorua in Paldea, so one of our teachers could quickly make them with the Zorua as a model in exchange for treats. Though, Ashley… I do hope you don't mind that your uniform is the only one that contains a skirt. With your species wearing pants is not a good idea. It gets in the way when you need to go to the bathroom. Also the material it is made of is safe to wear in battle."
"Thank you," Chloe said, Ashley nodding in agreement. As he left Chloe looked at Ashley. "I guess first try on the uniform, then I will help you speak human without illusions. It will also be a good distraction."
"Zorua," Ashley agreed.
A little later they found the bedrooms which each had four uniforms. One for Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. After putting them on Chloe looked at Ashley and couldn't help but smile at seeing her wearing a small white shirt with a tie, a Violet Skirt, four socks, one on each paw leading up to her knees, a small paw shaped shoe on each foot, a small hat with holes for the ears, and a backpack that fits snugly on her back that has lots of storage using shrinking technology common in high end bags.
"You look nice," Chloe said, getting a narrowed eyed look from Ashley as she tried to figure out if she was making fun of her or not. "Honest! Come on, let's start practicing the language. Probably won't make it before school starts, but we can practice when we are not in class."
"Zor," Ashley said as she agreed.
