The next morning they woke up and looked at their schedules.
"Looks like after Homeroom, I stay have a class on packing for the outdoors." Chloe said. "What about you?"
"…Free… period… followed… by… tech… nology… 101." Ashley said putting her schedule next to Chloe's.
"Good luck with that," Chloe said looking at her schedule and comparing it to Ashley's. "Looks like tomorrow we both have an appeals class for the contest track."
With that they went their seperate ways and waited for homeroom to end.
"…Hey Ashley…" Penny said as got up to leave.
"…Yes?" Ashley said.
"When we get to Technology 101 I have a gift for you, as thanks for helping me yesterday. But it will take awhile to move it here. When you get to class, can you tell the teacher I will be a few minutes late?"
"…Sure," Ashley said, not having the language skills to find out why, in the time left. "…Thanks… but… you… don't...have… to… I… just… did… what… was… right…"
"Your welcome, and I want to," Penny said as she left.
Meanwhile Ashley walked the halls wondering what the gift was, only to bump into the legs of one of the teachers, who did not have a class at the moment.
Looking up she saw it was Mr. Salvatore.
"Oh my," he said, "a Zorua wearing a school uniform. You must be Ashley. It is soo good to meet you."
"…Good… to… meet… you… too…" Ashley said much to his shock.
"Oh my!" he said, "no one said you could speak human!"
"…Still… learning…" Ashley said.
"Well I am the language teacher," Mr. Salvatore responded with a smile. "If you need help learning a language, I can help you."
"…Know… the… words…" Ashley said, shaking her head. "Used… them… before… with… illusions… Need… to… learn… how… to… say… them… faster… with… out… illusions…"
"So the speed of the language is what you need help with," Mr. Salvatore said, before smiling. "I can help with that as well. Come, let's go to my classroom."
Ashley was curious what he had in mind and followed.
"Now," Mr. Salvatore said, "you need to speak faster. And I know a language game that can help with that. Tongue Twisters."
"…Tongue… Twisters?…" Ashley asked.
"Yes indeed," Mr. Salvatore said. "Tongue Twisters are a sequence of words or sounds, typically of an alliterative kind, that are difficult to pronounce quickly and correctly, and mastering them helps you speak faster."
"…Okay…" Ashley said
With that she said different Tongue Twisters Mr. Salvatore gave her like:
How much lunch could a Munchlax munch if a Munchlax could munch lunch?
Shellder sells sharpened sea shells.
The Sandshrew sees his shadow.
Needy Nidoqueen need queasy Nidoking.
Headbutting bitter Butterfree.
And
Flaaffy's fluffy fleece fell off fast.
Surprisingly it worked. By the end of the free period she could speak as fast as when she used an illusion.
"Thank you for the help," Ashley said as the bell rang and Ashley left, skipping in happiness to her Technology 101 class.
