In Technology 101 Ashley informed the teacher Penny would be a bit late. And settled down to the lesson on how to write a code to get a computer to show the image of a Pokémon based on the number you type in.
Halfway through the lesson the door opened, and Penny came in pulling a wagon with a strange machine in it. It had a three computer screens on one side, and a ray gun pointing to the side, and was big.
"…Sorry I'm late," Penny said, stopping the machine in front of the class. "I needed to get this up the stairs so I could give Ashley a thank you gift for helping me out yesterday."
"How is that a gift?" Ashley asked as they gathered around and upon seeing her face upon seeing her talking better she explained. "Mr. Salvatore, the language professor, helped me with my speech during free period."
"Oh," Penny said, before pointing to the machine. "When I was in Galar I was asked to work together with others, including one who did most of the work, but died of a heart attack two weeks ago, meaning it can't be replicated to create a machine that can change one Pokémon into another, depending on what species is shown on the screens. The left screen is what the pokemon starts as, the right is what it finishes as, and the middle has the controls. It was designed to create more electric types for an energy problem, but it was canceled when Chairman Roae, who ordered the project was revealed as a villain. This is the last one remaining. However it was discovered that if you choose the same pokemon on each side it can transform an injured Pokémon into a fully healed version of itself. Meaning if we put Zorua on both screens, it can repair the damage to your illusion organ that stops you from making illusions."
"Thank you!" Ashley cheered.
"So you just hit this button that says start?" one student said pointing at the screen with a start button, accidentally hitting it instead of just pointing at it.
"Not until after you set the start and finish targets on the other screens!" she yelled as she pushed the kid out of the way of a beam from the ray, getting hit herself. "Oh, no!"
The computer then spoke. "Scanning environment for Pokémon image to turn random target into… image found in the form of an Eevee backpack. Turning into an Eevee!"
"What! No!" Penny yelled as there was a flash and Penny fell to the ground as an Eevee.
"Vee?" Penny said confused.
"Zor, Zorua," Ashley spoke in pokemon to comfort her.
"I can fix this!" the student who hit the button said, trying desperately to fix things and turn her back, but with no idea how, only to pale upon hearing…
"Warning… self destruct initiated. This machine will self-destruct in 5… 4… 3…" It said as everyone got away from it in a hurry as it began to glow red hot… "2… 1… 0…"
It then grew so hot that it quite literally melted into a puddle, wagon and screens included, as Penny's jaw dropped before she let loose, using the knowledge of someone that was bullied, and worked with others with bad language when frustrated.
"Veeee eeev eveee veee vee ve eeeev ev eev ee evee eeeve eve eeve eevee!" Penny yelled at the student as a blushing Ashley immediately spoke up.
"I'm not repeating that," Ashley said, wondering how even with pokespeech compressing sentences that she had just used a grand total of 225 rather bad words without repeating even once.
Ashley then noticed Penny trying to move, but was not used to her new body and fell taking Ashley down when she went to prop her up, spilling her Pokeballs out of her bag.
"Vee!" Penny apologized going to take another step, only to accidentally step on an empty Pokeball that immediately sucked her in. While she struggled, she was ultimately too weak and was captured.
Class then ended as Ashley let Penny out of the pokeball, luckily having a Zorua as a student meant accepting an Eevee, especially one that used to be a student, was easy. Though considering the machine is broke from the self-destruct, there is nothing she could do to change back or heal Ashley, who luckily did not blame her. Of course now they had to talk to all of Penny's pokemon, luckily they both had a free period, so could do that now.
