The following weekend was a base so Penny remained behind to gather materials while Ashley rode in Chloe's bag, as Chloe flew to Glaseado Mountain Watch Tower before heading to the fighting base, until they got closer and Ashley was let out.
"You want to fight again?" Chloe asked.
"Yep!" Ashley agreed, "and with my Tera typing being Fairy, I have the advantage."
"True," Chloe said as they came across Clive.
"Ah, it's you, Chloe, Ashley…" he said.
"Clive?" Ashley asked, wondering why he was just standing there.
"Yep, that's me!" he said. "Chloe… I owe you two. Thanks to you I've been accepted into operation Starfall. "
"Why did you join?" Chloe asked.
"I need answers, that's all," Clive said, "how do I resolve this situation with Team Star… and what's causing its members odd behavior?"
"What situation?" Chloe asked, "and why do you need to resolve it?"
"Team Star is the subject of more then a few nasty rumors swirling around the academy you know," Clive said. "Some say their bullying has caused a worrying number of students to drop out of school… others say they're holed up in their bases, plotting to cause trouble for the academy. But these are rumors. The matter I am directly confronted with is something else… I'm talking about Team Star's persistent truancy. They've all been skipping class for awhile now… five of them in particular-the so-called 'bosses' of Team Star-haven't so much as set foot inside the classroom for over a year. And it seems the teams rank and file have recently started stirring up mischief as well."
"And since you are clearly related to the director he asked you too look into it," Chloe realized to his shock.
"How…" he said in shock.
"You look like a younger version of the director with a different hairstyle, and a slightly different scent," Ashley said, before scrunching her nose. "Not sure why you smell like grapes though."
"No idea," Clive said, not telling them that he was wearing a wig that used grape scented wig cleaner. "But the director, my uncle, took it upon himself to inform them that they must disband team star and that should they refuse, he would have no choice but to expel all students affiliated with their team… but I'm afraid there's been no response. And the deadline he set for them to make their choice between dissolution or expulsion is nigh upon us. And he asked me to investigate. Hearing about Operation Starfall makes this a good choice."
"Hey it's me," Cassiopeia called as Clive left. "You're coming up on the next base. Be warned that Team Star will have its guard up after losing one boss to you already. This base won't go down as easily as the last one. Proceed with extreme caution. I'll be in touch."
They then continued on ending the same as last time. Defeating the guard Carmen who took over from the boss of Team Star, then defeating 30 pokemon inside Caph base before defeating Eri and her star mobile. This time though they stuck around as Clive talked to Carmen and learned about how Carmen joined Team Star and starting to feel something is wrong with their reputation compared to the truth.
When Penny joined them (and after Penny and Ashley were covered in drool, due to it missing Penny and Ashley being too close) they learned even more that they used to be bullied, making them feel bad for them before heading back to the academy.
