Izuku didn't move even as Katsuki lunged at him. His ki, fierce and disturbingly cold which only told Izuku that his former friend entered this fight with only negative emotions. It was a damn shame, he comes to realize.

They grew up in the same neighborhood so they were childhood friends. He was always the fearless type who could do anything, so naturally, he became the leader of our small group. He wasn't what he was now, not by a long shot. He wasn't 'bad' nor was he even 'good' but he was filled with confidence, and back then, it was admirable. But after his quirk came in and Izuku's didn't, he started down the path of 'bad' and his confidence slowly started to change into narcissism.

Izuku vaguely wonders if he could've... should've done more to stop Katsuki's downward spiral. But those are thoughts for a later day.

Bakugo got within three meters of him before Izuku let out a breath and moved to avoid the kick Bakugo threw and when the blond followed up with another one, Izuku quickly brandished the capture tape and wrapped it around his extended leg.

'Page 18 of notebook number 10. Good thing I memorized it before coming here today. I know you too well, Katsuki. I know you'll follow up with rage and anger and swing at me again with a big right. I don't even need Mind's Eye to parry it. Once you throw, I'll roll forward, then throw a light Hadoken and when you use your explosions to propel upwards, I'll use the Shoryuken for what it was made for. An anti-air attack!' Izuku thought all of this long before Bakugo even realized that the capture tape had came out. 'It's a good thing I know exactly how to fight against rush-down, hyper aggressive fighters.'

"Damn you!" The blond barked.

"Hey, Bakugo! Update me on the situation! I hear explosions, what's going on down there?!" Iida's voice rang annoyingly in his ear piece.

Bakugo immediately responds. "Shut the fuck up and keep watching the bomb. I'm about to fuck someone up...!"

"Don't let your emotions get the better of you! Hey, do you -"

Bakugo cut off his transceiver at that point, far too angry to even remotely care about what Glasses had to say.

The class watches in confusion as the people on screen speak, but no sound comes through.

"What are they saying? These fixed cameras don't have any sound." Kirishima asked while not taking his eyes off the impending fight.

"They're using micro-transceivers!" All Might responds. "We gave them to the battlers along with the building blueprints. Also, this!" Him saying that pulls everyone's attention to him. "This is capture tape! Tying this around your opponent is good enough proof of capture."

"So they've only got fifteen minutes and didn't know the location of the bomb, right?"

"Yes!"

Ashido looks a bit worried. "The hero teams are at a real disadvantage huh?"

"Oi, looks like Blasty is on the move." Rumi suddenly chimes in and everyone's attention snaps back to the screen like a rubber band.

Just as Izuku predicted, Bakugo put his hands behind him and propelled forward with explosions, only to wind up for another big right. The greenette rolled out of the way easily and immediately started charging his attack. "Hadoken!" The energy attack, true to Izuku's light intention, traveled slowly and like the bait he intended it to be. Bakugo, as expected, pointed his hands to the ground and flew up and over said attack then shot at Izuku again, only to be met by a powerful, medium fist to the stomach. "Shoryuken!"

Bakugo hacked up a wad of spit before being flung back a fair distance and hitting the floor in an unceremonious pile. 'What the fuck got into you Deku!?' He thought angrily as he struggled to get back to his feet.

"You...! It must've been real funny huh? Tricking me all these years." Despite the pain he was feeling, Bakugo lowered his center of gravity and made his hands explode. "Hiding that fucking flashy quirk all this time! Must've been a fucking fun time laughing about it behind my back! Bring it on! Use your stupid fucking quirk! I'll still crush you like the pathetic Deku you are."

'This hallway is too thin to do what I want. I'll need to find a new one to come up with a new plan.' With that, Izuku took off in a sprint down the corridor with Bakugo hot on his tail.

"Du - dude, Midoriya's incredible! Going toe-to-toe without using his quirk...!"

"Against that dude with the strong quirk too! But it makes sense, Midoriya was top two in the entrance exam scores."

"Wasn't Uraraka number 1?"

"Dude, that team is stacked! I'm glad it's not me fighting them!"

'What're you planning, Izuku? You could've ended the fight right there. Why're you holding back against him of all people?' Ryoya thought with a frown.

"Wow, that guy is really angry. It's a bit scary."

'Seems you were right, Midoriya. That Bakugo is as prideful as they come. His head is swollen up a bit too much. I'll have to keep a close eye on him.' All Might thought while taking notes.

'He was really waiting for me and didn't even bother to ask about Uraraka-san. That's a bit weird. Iida should've been the vanguard given his superior maneuverability. Iida's smart, so there's no way he doesn't know that. I'd hate to assume Katsuki is literally just rampaging on his own, but that's honestly most likely the case. There's no teamwork going on here.' Izuku ran while thinking, but he kept Mind's Eye open just case Bakugo tried something.

And tried he did because Izuku's body simply reacted on its own when a sweat-filled grenade came flying his way, casually backhanding it away without turning around. This only seemed to piss off the blond more as he was nearly caught in his own explosion.

'If they had both came at us from the start, they would've had a much better chance at victory. I should've honestly stuck with Uraraka-san, the two of us could've dealt with Katsuki really easily. But I guess it doesn't matter now. I chose to fight him alone to prove a point, and that's what I'll do. I have faith in Uraraka-san to fight and capture Iida.'

Izuku once again narrowly avoided a thrown grenade but this time, activating Denjin Renki for a split second to push the object back magnetically.

Katsuki was fucking seething. 'This fucking pebble. This fucking stepping stone!' Bakugo could only watch in a rage as Izuku darted away from him and vanished around a corner. 'You could never do anything ever since we were kids. Why the fuck can't you just understand?' Memories of the past returned to Katsuki's mind with a vengeance. Pointing out that Izuku's name could also be read as Deku. Telling him that Deku meant someone who couldn't do anything. 'You were such a fucking loser.' He didn't waste a single opportunity in calling him out on just how worthless he was. Even down to skipping stones by the creek, he ignored all the other extras and only focused on how bad Izuku was.

Then his quirk came in and it all became clear. Deku was Deku, that much was true. But not only was Deku useless, he wasn't. Katsuki was simply awesome and better than everyone else. So imagine his surprised when he found out Deku was quirkless and somehow became even more useless than before and yet...

When he fell into that fucking river, no one else came down to help him. He was fine, he didn't need any fucking help. Especially not from the only person who bothered to come down. The look Deku gave him that day, the look of pity and concern. It pissed him off to no end. How dare this useless nerd think he could help someone like him? How dare he even assume that Katsuki needed any him, let alone from someone so weak? Then a memory flashed of that pile of fucking sludge and once again, Deku's stupid fucking face. But this time, he wasn't useless. He had a quirk now. A strong, versatile one that made the villain Katsuki struggled with look pitiful. 'I'm fucking better than you Deku. I'll never let you forget that.'

Ochako sneakily peaked around a pillar. 'Found you!'

She inwardly debated simply getting the jump on Iida or waiting for Deku. She had a decent grasp on One for All now and felt pretty confident in her abilities, but she didn't think her at her current comfortable percent would be enough to match Iida's speed. She watched the boy pace while she thought to herself, until she overheard the armored boy muttering.

"Bakugo is such a natural trouble-maker, so this exercise is perfectly suited for him. I suppose I must also take on the role of a villain. Though it brings great shame to the Iida family name, this training is to help become a better man! I must commit to cloaking myself in darkness...!" Iida then started to laugh 'evilly'. He gave off a hilariously intense aura. "Yes, I am the ultimate evil!"

Ochako tried really, really hard not to giggle at that. She really did. But he was just so serious.

Her laughter altered Iida immediately.

"Ah, so you've come, Uraraka!"

'Well, fiddlesticks.' Ochako thought.

"I calculated as much, once Bakugo ran off on his own. I know your quirk also allows you to levitate objects you touch, on top of the super strength and super speed. Unfortunately, I couldn't plan for the strength and speed, however," He gestured broadly to the completely cleaned room. "I enacted a counter-strategy against you by removing all objects on this floor!" He gave a very force, manically chuckle. "Your little tricks won't work here, 'hero'! Nya-haha!"

Ochako at that point physically cringed. 'He's really getting into it.'

One For All flared to life. Before fighting, she radioed her teammate. "Deku!"

"Uraraka-san, what is it?" Deku sounded relaxed, oddly enough.

"Iida found me, sorry." She said while staring down the 'Engine' user. "I'm inching forward but, I'm not sure I can take him."

"Where are you?"

"Fifth floor, right in the center."

"You're right above me. Alright, just hold Iida off for a bit, I have a plan. After I deal with Bakugo, here's what you do..."

Once explaining his plan to Uraraka, Izuku sensed Bakugo approaching and realized it was time to finish this. There was only a little time left and he knew the villains would win if they ran out of the clock. He steeled his resolve and walked out into the hallway to directly confront his blond, former friend. He heard a clicking sound.

"I'm all loaded up." Bakugo said ominously. "Why the fuck aren't you using it Deku? You mocking me?"

"Katsuki." Izuku gave Bakugo a determined glare. "I'm not afraid of you anymore, you know?"

Bakugo scoffed. "You should know this from all the stalking, but the sweat glands on my palms secrete something like nitroglycerin. And that's how I make shit go 'boom'."

Izuku knew that of course, he was just curious as to why Bakugo would state the obvious.

"These gauntlets aren't just for show. They've been storing my sweat this whole time." He pulled his hand up to the pin.

"Bakugo." All Might said in his ear sternly. "Stop it now, kid. Are you trying to kill him?"

But Bakugo long since stopped caring. This fucking Deku had the audacity to not just hide his quirk, but to not use it and still put up a half-way decent fight. "He'll be fine if he dodges!" He shouted manically before yanking the pin.

Izuku was faster though. Denjin Renki flared to life and he used as much of his magnetic range as he could, having enough sudden force to divert the gauntlet off course and more at an angle.

The explosion still rocked the entire building though, and decimated everything on that floor as well as the wall behind it. Light and heat filled Izuku's vision even though he knew he made the attack miss and he felt light burns on his torso and face. But this heat was nothing compared to the things he faced in training.

The observation room collectively gasped. Even Ryoya looked a bit surprised that Bakugo would unleash such an attack indoors against a single person. He was, quite frankly, pissed beyond words and would kick Bakugo's ass for this the second he saw him, All Might be damned. The amount of malicious intent he gave off must've been palpable since everyone in the room turned to him, despite him not actually moving or saying anything.

Kirishima balked. "I thought this was just practice!"

All Might should've called off the exercise right then and there. He was seconds away from doing so before he heard Midoriya make a sound in his earpiece. 'I can't believe he'd use that here.' Instead of sounding in pain or anything, Midoriya just sounded disappointed. That made All Might reconsider.

Izuku stood up from behind some rubble and dusked himself off. "They really gave you that?" He frankly couldn't believe that someone would give Bakugo such a device with no screening whatsoever.

Bakugo ignored him and matched on manically. "Come on, use your quirk, Deku. I wanna crush you at your strongest!"

"Fine."

Denjin Renki flared to life.

As the building shook and the explosion echoed through the hollowed halls, Iida wobbled a bit, off-balance. "What the!? Is that Bakugo!? What on earth is he doing!?"

Ochako shook off her concern for Deku's wellbeing and narrowed her eyes. 'Now's my chance!' She touched the back of her hand and leaped to the ceiling, doing a front flip to kick off the cement and darted down at an angle towards the bomb.

"Ah, so you can levitate yourself as well!"

Ochako didn't respond. She reached out to touch the bomb, but Iida's speed proved to be higher than she thought. Even while using a relatively light 3% of One for All, Iida was still fast enough to close the distance between himself and the bomb and snatch it out of the way. Luckily, she caught herself in a roll.

"Your quirk poses no threat if you can't touch anything! No struggle, hero, as I take away your precious time! Guhahaha!"

Ochako merely gave Iida a flat look that would've made Ryoya proud. She dashed forward again, this time at him and not the bomb. Iida initially hesitated.

'I don't want to get rough with her, but...!'

But that split second cost him. Uraraka feigned right before going left. She managed to get around Iida before wrapping her arms around his waist from behind.

"Rainbow Suplex!"

Iida gasped when he felt his weight leave his body before immediately feeling much heavier as Ochako performed a picture perfect German suplex that drove them both into the ground.

"Dude, what is this match!?"

"I know right!? Uraraka is kicking Iida's ass! Bakugo just tried to kill Midori!"

"Sensei, shouldn't you stop him?" Kirishima demanded, "Bakugo's crazy! He's looking to kill."

"Yeah, call it off, All Might." Ryoya said dangerously, never once taking his eyes off the screen. "So I can break Bakugo's fucking -" Momo immediately reached over and covered Ryoya's mouth with her hand. He gave her a disapproving glare, but All Might looked thankful.

"No..." All Might said slowly. He heard everything that was said during the fight from both teams and he had to admit, Bakugo's behavior was more than a bit alarming. 'Strangely, Midoriya seems completely calm. Bakugo too, a part of him at least. Not sure if he's just that petty or what. But whatever.'

"Bakugo. Use that move again and I will end this match. And you will lose." Despite his usual smile, he was serious. "Using that attack indoors is just a terrible idea for many reasons! Hero or villain, that's just a bad move! I'm deducting points."

Bakugo looked visibly upset at All Might's declaration. "Fuck! Come on, man!" He shouted, then recovered quickly. He propelled himself forward at great speed and Izuku just assumed the Shotokan stance, a loose, low, bouncy stance.

Bakugo got within two meters of Izuku before he suddenly moved his left hand to change his direction on a dime and flew over the greenette. Izuku looked marginally surprised by this, and reacted by flaring his power and throwing Bakugo off course, but not before an explosion hit his back and caused him to stumble forward a bit. Izuku recovered before Bakugo regained his composure and immediately fired off a Hadoken.

Bakugo narrowly dodged, and propelled himself forward again. But Izuku seemed prepared this time. He used his superior speed to meet Bakugo before he could truly gain speed and threw a medium right hook, which Bakugo reflexively raised his hand to block. Unfortunately, he seemed unaware of Izuku's electric properties and upon impact, shrieked in pain as green lightning coursed through his veins. Izuku continued his assault, grabbing Bakugo's gauntlet and putting more charge in it until he was forced to discard the support item altogether. Izuku quickly used his stored charge and propelled the gauntlet right back at his opponent. It caught Bakugo directly in the face and caused him to fall over with a broken nose.

But with the determination and rage of a pit bull, he got back up. "Deku." He spat. "Don't think this means anything. I don't know where they fuck you got that quirk from, but -" Izuku cut him off by a quick Hadoken. If it was something literally beat into his skull by Ryu, Ken and especially Ryoya, it was fight now, talk later. He used the attack as a distraction before sprinting forward with his freakish speed, keeping Bakugo on the defensive with a series of punches, kicks, elbows and Hadokens, all thrown at different speeds and powers to prevent any adaptation. Rush down never was his preferred style, he preferred defense, but against someone like Bakugo, overwhelming him seemed best.

It culminated in Bakugo seeming to panic and throw up an explosion, if only to get Izuku off of him and buy him some breathing room. To his shock, Izuku slowed down and his black, inky ki appeared around him for a split second before he took the explosion head on and didn't flinch before throwing the same inky fist directly to Bakugo's solar plexus. The blond doubled over immediately in pain, but also another strange feeling that he couldn't place before Izuku's ki-infused, Denjin Renki enhanced fist met his chin.

"Shoryuken!"

The people in the observation room watched the fight from the beginning.

"He used the first explosion to simultaneously feint and change his own position. Then he followed up immediately with another." Todoroki observed.

"He doesn't seem like a thinker, but that was a fairly intricate strategy." Momo added.

"Damn, this guy's good."

At that comment, Ryoya scoffed. "If that's what considered good to you, you have extremely low standards." He said while staring at the blond who spoke.

Momo just inwardly sighed. Ryoya was, understandably, in a bit of a foul mood since Bakugo used that building shaking attack. But that didn't mean he had to be rude to their classmates. She gave him a look of discontent and he grumbled out an apology.

"What are those things Midori keeps firing off?"

"A hadoken."

"Hado-what?"

"An attack from our discipline." Ryoya clarified. "It's not a quirk, I assure you. It's just an attack we were taught at our dojo."

The class watched as Izuku grabbed Bakugo's gauntlet, charged it up and shot it back at him. Then watched as Bakugo got back up with a bloody nose, only to attempt to speak and be silenced by another Hadoken.

"Dud - dude, how is Midoriya so fast? I can barely keep track of him."

"Bakugo looks like he can't do anything."

"Looks like Bakugo finally found an opening." Someone commented before the smoke cleared and Izuku seemed completely unphased by the point-blank explosion.

"Did he just tank that!?"

'No, he used Focus. He still took damage, but used his ki to create a brittle armor to take most of the hit.' Ryoya doesn't say. He was a bit surprised to see such a technique pulled out due to it's difficulty. But then again, Izuku seemed to focus more on technique between the two of them while Ryoya relied more on simple power and overwhelming force.

Then the Shoryuken happened and the class fell silent, watching as Izuku wrapped the capture tape around Bakugo.

"Katsuki Bakugo has been eliminated!" All Might announced with just a bit too much enthusiasm for the supposed neutral party.

"You know," Izuku started sadly. "I never looked down on you or anything. It's the opposite." He said to Bakugo's unconscious form. "You were so awesome, I couldn't help but to admire how great of a hero you'd be. But... you aren't that person anymore, are you, Kacchan? You're not my friend anymore, and I'm not the Deku you used to bully." With that, Izuku wrapped the tape fully around him arms and legs and walked away during All Might's announcement. He tapped his earpiece.

"Uraraka-san, where are you?"

"Oh! Deku-kun! I'm still on the fifth floor, Iida's a bit stronger than I thought."

Izuku clicked his tongue. "Throw him towards the wall near the entrance if you can, just to the left of the door in exactly forty-five seconds. Once you do, make a dash towards the weapon. I'll deal with him."

"Roger that, Deku-kun!"

Izuku's mood brightened as he for some reason imagined the bubbly girl giving a small, two fingered salute.

'Can't let Deku-kun down after he took down Bakugo.' Uraraka thought to herself. Iida's armor wasn't just for show, since he took most of her more powerful slams fairly easily. Sure, she wasn't exactly using her maximum power of 7%, but even the 5% and 6% slams seemed to do very little through his armor. It was getting frustrating, Iida's loud, obnoxious villain posturing notwithstanding. She wasn't exactly taking damage, Iida seemed to hesitate before actually trying to kick her, but it was starting to get a bit tiresome to play cat-and-mouse for so long.

She mentally counted down the seconds before enacting Deku's plan. But she needed a distraction first. Quick, what would R. Mika do? Yell something random and distracting in tight, provocative clothing. "Hey Iida! Don't underestimate me! I believe in my dreams!"

Iida paused at the declaration, momentarily confused. Ochako chose that moment to strike. She flared One For All to 7%, ignoring the burning pain in her muscles, and kept her body low. She grabbed Iida by the ankles, remove his gravity and pivot, spinning him around and around until he rose off the ground. After the third or fourth rotation, (between Iida's yelling and dizziness, she lost track), she managed to steady herself enough to throw him towards the door. "Rainbow Typhoon!"

She barely had time to release her power before Iida slammed into the wall and much to her surprise, he simply stayed there. He didn't stumble, or even really move. His body just stayed in the exact same position he impacted in.

"What!? Why can't I move?" He struggled in vain to free himself. Then a small green electric spark flared across his armor and everything made sense. "Midoriya!"

"Now, Uraraka-san!" Izuku yelled, voice muffled from being on the other side of the wall.

The brunette ran and dove for the bomb.

"Hero Team wins!"

"Wow, the winning team is nearly unscathed, while the losers are down for the count. The both won the battle and the war. A complete victory, so to speak." A boy with a raven's head said.

Ryoya kept a completely neutral expression but on the inside, he couldn't be happier. He would've been smiling like a madman at watching Izuku kick that bastard's ass so decisively if not for the fact that he was the supposed "cool, stoic" of the two, as per Setsuna's words. So he settled for a light nod.

All Might left and quickly returned with the students sans Bakugo and got to grading.

"Okay students! Who would you say is the MVP of this round? I'd personally say it was Midoriya!" All Might proclaimed and Izuku sputtered out some nonsense while blushing.

"Makes sense, Ochako and Midoriya-chan did win after all." Asui said while raising her finger to her lower lip.

"That's partially true, Asui! But does anyone else have any other reasons why he's the MVP?"

Momo raised her hand when no one else did. "Midoriya was able to adapt the most to the given situation. From what we saw, Bakugo's every action was motivated by an obvious personal grudge. Not to mention that attack he used indoors would be foolish to ever attempt in a real-life situation since not only would civilians be at risk, it's very likely that he would've detonated the bomb anyway. Furthermore, Midoriya's performance somewhat suffered from the same thing, or at least it seemed so. Upon further inspection, it made since for him to challenge Bakugo alone since he's such a wildcard. Uraraka lost focus midway through and revealed her presence to the enemy, which would've been an issue otherwise. Though she did an excellent job at keeping him at bay and stalling for time, she couldn't actually put him down. Iida formed an actual counter-strategy and envisioned what the actual struggle would be like. He did, however, seemed to hold back on Uraraka due to her being a girl even after she managed to grab him."

Iida's eyes widen at that. How'd she know he hesitated? The answer came from Momo's training. Her various masters over the years, Chun-li mainly, had taught her how to spot people pulling their punches due to gender. It still mildly frustrated her to be underestimated, but she learned to turn that frustration into an advantage.

"He also allowed himself to be cornered very easily by Midoriya's admittedly powerful magnetic pull." Momo continued. "The hero team won due to being the overall stronger team with much better planning, and as Ryo - Harushi-kun pointed out before, the ability advantage."

Silence.

All Might sweat dropped and shakily raised a thumb. 'She said that way better than I could.' "Y - yes, you're correct. Would you like to add anything, Harushi?"

"Hmm, I'll only say two things; if you're wondering how Izuku could possibly beat Bakugo so smoothly, it's because we were trained how to fight. Not use quirks, or be flashy. Fight. How many of you know how to actually throw a punch? I'm not talking about making a fist and 'punching', I'm meaning actually throw a proper punch." Silence. "Exactly. Bakugo lost because he doesn't know how to fight. He knows how to use his explosions in a fight, I'll give him that. But he doesn't actually know how to fight without his quirk. And it cost him dearly once he realized that Izuku could. And secondly...' He slowly turned to look at Momo with a small grin. "Must you be such a nerd, Mo-chan?"

Momo blush ever so slightly before huffing. "That's rich, coming from you. We're starting from the bottom and working up, no? We have to be earnest with each other or we'll never be top heroes."

All Might laughed heartily with his fists on his hips. "Very well said, Yaoyorozu! Now then, before we move to a new building, we'll draw again for next round!"

Hero Team B: Shouto Todoroki, Mezu Shoji

VS

Villain Team I: Ryoya Harushi, Rumi Usagiyama

The class figuratively froze. Ryoya and Todoroki's eyes met. They glared at each other.

"I don't do team-ups." Rumi said with her arms crossed the second she and Ryoya got in the bomb room.

Ryoya gave her a look. "Neither do I."

Rumi seemed to not expect that response, if evident by the way her eyes widened a bit.

"Look, I'm gonna be honest here. Todoroki will very likely just come directly at me. I'm not leaving this room. I'm waiting right here." Ryoya explained while tightening his headband and stretching, unknowingly giving Rumi a lot of eye-candy. "If you want to run down there and go fight them, feel free. I'm not going to stop you. I don't think I could anyway. But Todoroki's been giving me the stink eye since we started this year and I've gotten sick of it really."

Rumi listened and inwardly debated what to do. "Hmm, well if you're going to have this whole mano-e-mano thing going on, I won't stop you. But that's if I don't kick Todoroki's and the big guy's ass before they get here." Truthfully, she had nothing against Todoroki personally. Outside of his very blatant disdain for Harushi in any way, shape or form, he didn't do anything notable to make her feel any which way about him. He barely spoke even. But she would be lying to herself if she said she wasn't just a tiny bit annoyed that he seemed to hate her friend, (Were they even friends? He seemed annoyed with her at lunch so maybe not?) rival for no apparent reason. "Oh, that reminds me."

"What is it, Bunny-san?"

"What was that at lunch today? You avoiding me." Rumi gave him a suspicious look.

Ryoya was a bit taken aback by how forward she was, but he didn't show it. "I already said why?"

"Do you think I'm so shallow that all I care about is fighting?" The Rabbit quirk user seemed genuinely annoyed by this.

"Of course not," Ryoya said a bit quicker than he intended. "But that's all you've shown me. I wouldn't mind being friends with you, but I don't know you beyond you trying to assault me."

Rumi scoffed. He had a point, she couldn't really argue that. "Well why not get to know me? Let's go for ice cream or something this weekend." She seemed to realize how that must've sounded and looked flustered. "I - I mean to show that I'm not just so shallow!" She spat quickly. 'Real smooth, Rumi. Acting like a scared little school girl. You're Tiger Bunny! Act like it!'

'Is she asking me out?'

Before Ryoya could answer, the whole building froze.

"They're both on the top floor in the middle of the room. They haven't moved yet at all."

Todoroki nodded. Good. Stay right where you are Endeavor Harushi. It was time for him to prove just how strong his ice was. "Get outside." Shouto all by commanded. "It's about to get frosty in here. Our opponents think they're playing a defensive game but," He placed his right palm on the wall and ice spread at an alarming rate. "That means nothing to me."

Before the fight actually started, the observation room buzzed with activity. "So, any predictions on how this one goes? Midoriya? Harushi had quite a bit to say for your trial, do you perhaps wish to return the favor?" All Might prodded.

Izuku looked mildly surprised. Ryoya Harushi? Talking to people he doesn't know? Publicly? Impossible.

"Er, well yeah. It depends entirely on how much ice Todoroki-san can make. The villain team is at a bit of a disadvantage here since Usagiyama-san is a close ranged fighter, but she is weaker overall than Shoji-san is. And well, Ryoya's firepower is really nothing to joke about at all. Even though he's a close-ranged fighter, he does have a LOT of ranged techniques he can use that would be perfect for this." Izuku's mind went back to Ryoya breathing fire, using his Power Wave technique and the Shakunetsu Hadoken. His eyes suddenly got determined. "If he really wanted to, he could drop this whole building in an instant."

"Green's right." Jiro chimed in. "I was in Golden's testing area when he took down the Zero-Pointer. Dude's quirk is absolutely insane."

Izuku would've corrected her about their quirkless nature, but let it slide. "Right. But Ryoya's not going to use his more... destructive attacks indoors. Not only would it cause the same level of damage as Bakugo's did, if not more, but it would also just deduct points, just like we just talked about. He is not really a good team player, though. So that might be an issue. While he does have a lot of ways to fight in rooms like that, Ryoya is a bit of a softie under all of... he gestured vaguely to the screen to Ryoya's stretching form.

"Intimidation?"

"Seriousness?"

"Sexiness?"

Izuku's eyes snapped open at that last one. But when he didn't see anything, he assumed it was just the wind. Yes, must've been the wind.

"Er, yeah. So he's likely not going to go all out at the risk of harming Usagiyama-san. So like I said, it depends entirely on how much ice Todoroki-san can create."

Then the class watched in slack-jawed awe as Todoroki froze the entire building in seconds.

"Heh, is that going to be enough ice?" Kaminari quipped while nervously pointing at the screen.

"No." Izuku said simply. "No, it won't be."

A/N: Dun, dun, dun. The next and last chapter of the battle trial will be after this. Hope you enjoyed Bakugo's defeat and a bit of a showcase to how powerful Izuku's magnetism actually is. If you're wondering why you never see either Izuku or Ryoya just like, discharge large amounts of lightning or fire like Kaminari or Todoroki, simply put; they can't but it's very inefficient. It's seen as a massive waste of ki to just dump out attacks like that, so they normally don't. But it is possible for Izuku to Thor someone. The whole Ryoya bit about knowing how to fight mostly comes from my frustrations with canon. How the hell did 1 week of training buff Uraraka that much? Simple, literally no one else in 1-A knows martial arts. They are bad in hand to hand combat.

Todoroki's still projecting, and that's not good at all.

Ryuujin96: We get a bit more in the way of Ryoya/Rumi in this chapter, which is nice. Rumi, in character, is very brash and straight forward, so this was to be expected. And yeah, Momo is a beast in this. She was trained by Chun-Li and Ryoya. The girl is a force to be reckoned with. And here ya go, Izuku vs Katsuki and Ochako vs Tenya. R. Mika's somewhere proud. Thanks for the review!

NinjaFang1331: Thank you!

solbandgus: Yeah, Toga's gonna be interesting, but I'll admit, she won't do much until the Sports Festival which is where the BIG canon divergence happens.

Marbled Gold: I really enjoy writing their dynamic since they contrast each other so heavily. They're best friends, but neither miss a chance to tease the other, even though they know it'll likely come to blows. The Rumi/Ryoya as rabbits is very apt lol, since one is canonically very loud, brash and speaks her mind and the other is more relaxed and laid back. He'd definitely be the one to reel her in, but she's also the one to help him ease out of his shell.

heartfanglives: And a beatdown it was. Bakugo, as I pointed out, can't actually fight, or at least, that's what I headcanon. So when against someone like Izuku who can, as well as knows his quirk, and has an ability to counter his gear, well Bakugo got rekt.

rjkeith: I'm surprised you're the first person to point it out. The Tekken cameo with the Mishima's. We will def be seeing more Tekken and SNK characters as the story goes on. Sakura and Sean are also going to appear at some point, maybe also Dan. Sakura hasn't stopped fighting in this, I'll say that much. Thanks for the review!
