They were ready to do battle. The campers had a few Hephaestus canpers, a few from the Ares cabin, the Hermes cabin, and a few Aphrodite kids. It was weird that the Aphrodite cabin wanted to play. Usually they sat on the sidelines, chatted, and checked their reflections in the river and stuff, but when they heard we were fighting the Hunters, they were raring to go.
"I'll show them 'love is worthless,'" Silena Beauregard grumbled as she strapped on her armor.
That left Thalia and Theseus.
"I'll take the offense," Thalia volunteered. "You take defense."
"Oh." He hesitated, "Don't you think with your shield and all, you'd be better defense?"
Thalia already had Aegis on her arm, and even her own teammates were giving her a wide berth, trying not to cower before the bronze head of Medusa.
"We'll send out a decoy to the left," Thalia told the team. "Silena, you lead that."
"Got it!"
"Take Laurel and Jason. They're good runners. Make a wide arc around the Hunters, attract as many as you can. I'll take the main raiding party around to the right and catch them by surprise."
Everybody nodded. It sounded good, and Thalia said it with such confidence you couldn't help but believe it would work.
Thalia looked at me. "Anything to add, Theo?"
"Um, yeah. Keep sharp on defense. We've got four guards, two scouts. That's not much for a big forest. I'll be moving. Yell if you need help."
"And don't leave your post!" Thalia said. "Unless you see a golden opportunity," He added. Thalia scowled. "Just don't leave your post." "Right, unless—"
This little argument was noted by a man in black chilling in the shadows and he said with a scoff "the children of Zeus and Poseidon never get along and yet they expect them to lead them to victory. Hah! Based off this they have no chance."
The argument continued whilst Perseus mused to himself about how hopeless the demigods where, playing games instead of preparing for was just because of something as trivial as tradition. Their argument continued further and further until Chiron had finally had enough and so cantered up to them and stomped his hooves; "children!" He said frustratingly "you are on the same team. Work together!" They looked sheepish after that but they listened to him. Enough that they started capture the flag. From the off it was obvious that the Hunters were better trained and more strategic. Whilst fights commenced between the two sides; both Thalia and Zoe both snuck to the flags and ripped them from the grounds, as they both raced to their bases they caught each other's eyes. Zoe knew what she had to do and shot a fart arrow at Thalia's feet. Thalia stopped and shouted, "hey, fart arrows are unsportsmanlike." Zoe kept on running and made it to her base, then she said "all is fair in love and war." Chiron then came up and said; "the hunters win for 56th time in row."
The man in black then said "pathetic, the campers had the number advantages and and the powerful demigods, all the hunters had was Artemis' blessing which isn't even that strong without her here to give it more power. This will be a piece of cake, like taking candy from a baby." He laughed. Suddenly his musing stopped as he saw everyone being silent and staring at something behind him. He turned around "What on earth?"
