The next weekend, Ashley decided to ride in her pokeball as Chloe headed to the Segin Squad of Team Star, releasing Ashley to face the Team Star Grunts Murkrow, though being able to use moves from any TM, gave her a massive advantage, and a single thunderbolt easily won the match.
The grunt then tried to pass it off to the other grunt, as she headed back into the base.
"She's new to the team," he said, "might have to talk to her about that attitude. Well, I'm gonna go into the base now, and give the rest of the squad the heads-up. We'll come at you full force if you set foot inside, so you might wanna consider turning tail. Either way, best of luck to you, amiga! Hasta la vistaaar!"
With that they headed into the base with Chloe using Ashley, Chien-Pao, and Iron Valiant to defeat the bases Pawniard, Sneasel, Nymble, Sableye, and Stunky.
"She's way above our level! We've gotta get the boss!" a grunt said as the boss, Giacomo came out.
"You've done a real number on us, party crashers! Chloe and Ashley was it? I'm Giacomo! At the deck I go by DJ Vice! Call me whichever-it's a vibe either way. Nice to meet you and all… but how 'bout we skip straight to your outros? Don't worry-ill play you a sick requiem as you crash and burn. Let's get this party staaarteeed!" Giacomo said sending out Pawniard, who despite his typing was easily knocked out by a terablast from a terastalized Ashley. Same with the Team star Mobile. "Guess that's that… I did the best I could… I wrote that code myself and there's no going back on it now. My days as a boss are over. So here-take my Stat Badge would ya? Haaah. So this is how the party ends… but let's talk about this pokemon, Ashley. It's crazy strong, huh. What species is she anyway? You learn those trainer chops at the academy? Like what moves you should use n stuff?"
"She is a species called Iron Trickster," Chloe said, "and no, I'm not in the battle course at the academy."
"Huh. OK… you like it at the academy? Havin' fun?" Giacomo said.
"Yeah we're enjoying it," Ashley said.
"No kiddin'…" Giacomo said as Clive showed up, asking for a word with Giacomo, causing Chloe and Ashley to leave.
Penny as Cassiopeia took this chance to call. "It's Me. All five squad bosses have now been toppled from their pedestals. I imagine they'll leave Team Star before long now that they've lost their special positions. After that they should be back attending classes at the academy."
It was at this point Clive caught up, acting as supply rep.
"At long last, Operation Starfall has entered its final stage," Penny as Cassiopeia said. "There's only one thing left on the agenda. You must defeat the big boss… and have Team Star disband for good!"
"Where's the big boss?" Clive asked.
"Don't worry - there's no need to search them out. The true identity of the big boss… is none other then me," Penny, as Cassiopeia said, knowing Clive was the only one that did not know. "I'm sorry… I didn't mean to keep it from you for so long after Chloe and Ashley figured it out by the name of the bases. But the right moment never came. I'm the one who formed Team Star. Back then the members of the team were my closest friends… and I treasured them more then anything. If they go on like this, Team Star won't do any good for anyone. They've got to give up, so I'm using the code we made together to force them to disband. Ashley, Chloe, I'll be waiting for you in the schoolyard after dark. You should come as well, Clive."
"Thanks you, Cassiopeia," Clive said. "And thank you for being honest young one." He added shortly afterwards. "I really do appreciate your willingness to help us out."
"Then I'll see you both there," Penny, as Cassiopeia, said as she hung up and the others left to prepare.
