As Ashley and Chloe returned to the academy, they found Clive waiting for them at the door, where they discovered he was actually Director Clavell and not his nephew like they thought. He tried to pretend to be Cassiopeia using prerecorded messages, but after Chloe defeated Oranguru, Abomasnow, Gyarados, Polteageist, Amoongus and Skeledirge using Chien-Pao, Pawmot and Baxcalibur, they revealed they already knew who the real Cassiopeia was, and learned that Director Clavell, had realized as well though thought they only knew she was the boss of Team star, not that they knew who she was completely and pretended to be her to make sure they had the strength to face her, if they didn't then he would have faced her himself.
Of course that meant he got dragged away by Tyme for illicit battling on school grounds.
Eventually though the time came, and they met Penny.
"Ashley, Chloe," Penny said before they could speak. "Thanks for coming. I know you figured out I was both the big boss, and Cassiopeia awhile ago as well as why I am doing this. But still… there's a part of me that wants Team Star to live on! I can't just roll over and let you win without putting up a fight! This is the final showdown are you ready? "
"I'm ready!" Ashley said, stepping forward. "As your girlfriend I think I should battle you first."
"Of course. My love. Of course I won't hold back," Penny agreed.
"Wouldnt have it any other way," Ashley agreed as Director Clavell disguised as Clive ran up.
"Sorry to keep you," he said, "the letter of apology Ms. Tyme had me-Errr… I mean, preparations took longer then expected."
"That voice… and appearance," Penny said. "You must be Director Clavell's nephew Clive."
"So we thought," Ashley sighed.
"We found out on the way into the academy that he has his own secret identity," Chloe agreed.
"Well, that doesn't matter right now," Penny said, turning to him. "I have a task for you, if you'll accept it. I need you to record what happens next so I can send the video to Team Star. They need to see the outcome of this battle for themselves."
"O-OK… will do!" he said, shocked at how close his identity came to being revealed, before remembering that Penny and Ashley were dating.
"Then allow me to introduce myself properly…" Penny said, once he started recording. "I'm the big boss of Team Star. The game's Cassiopeia-No Penny the Iron Soul! I know a pokemon being the big boss is shocking, but I haven't always been a pokemon." She then explained how she became first an Eevee, then an Iron Soul, for the benefit of the recording. "Now, bow down before the overwhelming might of Team Star's founder!"
Her first pokemon was Umbreon who lost to Iron Valiant's fighting type attacks, Next was Flareon, who lost to Iron Valiant's Liquidation attack. Vaporeon lost to Kilowattrel's electric attacks, Jolteon lost to Meowscarada's Flower Trick though did manage an attack before it did so. While Leafeon lost to Kilowattrel's flying type attacks, and Sylveon, Penny's strongest, managed to finish off the weakened Kilowattrel, and Iron Valiant, but was weakened enough that Meowscarada managed to win by use of Flower Tricks always critical hit ability, giving Ashley the win.
"It's all over now," Penny said. "Its finally over, guys… It's done. Thanks for everything, Ashley, Chloe, and you too."
"I'm glad I could see this through to the end," Clive said.
"I guess this is it for Team Star… and me, too-" Penny said as Ashley nuzzled her.
"Hold that thought, Miss-Ah… Penny! I'd like to check something with you first." Clive said.
"Check… what?" Penny asked, confused.
"Why resort to something like Operation Starfall if you're the big boss of Team Star?" he asked. "Wasn't there any other way to handle this?"
"I tried telling the bosses that we were done once before," Penny said, "but they still didn't quit…"
"Why not simply order them too?" Clive asked.
"Our code states that noone in the team has the right to order people around. I could ask them all to do stuff, but I could never order them." Penny said.
"So, it's back to the code once again…" Clive said, "the bosses must have taken it very seriously."
"They did," Penny agreed. "That's why I knew I could use it to force Team Star to disband."
"Because the bosses would do anything the code required of them? Even leave the team?" Clive asked.
"Yes…" Penny agreed. "And according to the code they had to accept any challenge made to them."
"Thus the idea for Operation Starfall," Clive said. "Cassiopeia, let me ask you one last thing. What does Team Star-No, what do your friends in the team mean to you?"
"… … …Other than my girlfriend they're…" Penny said, getting Ashley to blush. "They're my greatest treasure."
"Splendid," Clive said. "Thank you for appraising me of the situation, Miss Penny."
"Wha-?" Penny asked, as Clive got closer.
"Now young lady, there's so,nothing I would very much like to discuss with you," he said, creeping her out.
"Hey, quit it with the old geezer act, Clive!" Penny said, getting Ashley and Chloe to realize what was about to happen. "You're creeping me out…"
"…Indeed, well then, before we talk further, allow me to reveal to you my own secret identity!" Clive said, taking off his disguise.
"D-Director Clavell?!" Penny shouted.
"Shocked us when we found out on the way I to the academy," Ashley said before explaining how they found out.
"Just as Cassiopeia was your disguise, the boy you knew as Clive was mine!" Director Clavell said.
"But… but why?!" Penny asked.
"I needed a way to talk to Team Star on equal terms. Students do tend to shy from speaking their mind to their teachers after all… much more so when faced with the director of the academy. Still that's quite enough for now." Director Clavell said before turning to the side. "Everyone! Why don't you come on out?"
Penny, Ashley, and Chloe were then suprised when the rest of the team star bosses showed up, having heard everything and thought they were suprised to find Cassiopeia was Penny, who was now a pokemon, they still accepted her, as well as Ashley as her girlfriend, much to her surprise. They were even more suprised when Team Star was allowed to stay, and found themselves happy that their commu city service turned their bases into the STC's so they could continue doing what they loved. Ashley and Chloe even joined the team to help Penny with her new base.
