Disclaimer: I do not own Power Rangers. Only my OCs.

All right guys! Hope you liked chapter one. I'm not really sticking to any particular order, just choosing episodes that I think would be easy to incorporate the two girls and their growing friendship.

Chapter 2: Girls Just Want to Have Fun

"Hey, Ernie!" Zoey walked up to the Juice Bar owner and handed a box, "Here's the streamers from the back."

"Thanks." He took the box from the younger girl and smiled down at her companion, "Are you trick or treating tonight?"

"No. Our parents are going to the adult's only party at the Firehouse, so we're stuck at the stupid kid's program at the church." The girls rolled their eyes, "They do nothing but lame carnival games and just give you more candy and plop you in front of the tv to watch the latest family friendly Halloween movie."

"Well, if you're brother's are okay with it, I don't mind you coming here tonight. You've been helping decorate, so you've earned it. You can dance and help me serve snacks. No lame games or movies. What do you say?"

The girls shared a look, "Yes!"

"Go ask your brothers and see if you can get permission from your parents. If they say yes, then I've got two new helpers."

"We'll be right back." They started to go find their brothers, but they stopped when a bucket flew through the air and landed on Bulk, one of the school bullies, "Is that paint?" They winced, trying not to laugh, "I'd feel sorry for him if he didn't act like such a jerk sometimes."

"Right." They giggled, "Come on." They ran of to their brothers as they were huddled together with their friends, "Hey, bro." Zoey wrapped her arms around Tommy's waist and smiled sweetly at him, "Whatcha doin'?"

"Wondering what you want." He looked over to see Jenna doing the same thing to Jason, "What they both want?" Jason was looking down, trying not to smile as their friends were looking back and forth at the siblings, "Is this something that's going to get us into trouble with our parents?"

"Um, I don't think so. I mean, as long as you say it's okay, you know mom and dad would say yes. You're the Golden Boy." She looked at his shirt, "Well, green. Do you ever wear any other color? We've got to get you a new wardrobe."

Jason coughed into his hand, "Jenna," he chuckled, "what's going on?"

"We really don't want to go to that church thing. It's going to be really boring. And since we can't go trick or treating…" She cut her eyes at Zoey.

"...we thought we could stay here." Zoey saw her brother start to say something and beat him to it, "It was Ernie's idea. He said if we could get your okay and the parents permission, we can hang out here. Have some fun, dance and help Ernie with the refreshments."

"I might even give them a little money for helping me out." Ernie said, coming over, "And, so you guys can have your fun, I'll make sure to keep an eye on them. They usually help me out in the afternoons anyways. Cleaning tables and picking up equipment. Why not?"

Tommy cleared his throat, "Are you sure about this?"

"Jenna told me all about this church party. It sounds boring. Besides, you know mom would prefer me to be with you anyways. She's been really picky about all of this since we moved here."

"It's the aliens." Jenna piped up, "Parents have gotten really overprotective since they showed up."

"She says, nonchalantly." Jason shook his head, "Okay. Let me go call mom. I'm sure it won't be a problem."

"I agree." Tommy nodded.

"Yea!" The girls high-fived, "My costume is over at Jenna's. We were going over there after finishing up here and Jason was supposed to take us to the church. So I'll see you when you get back?"

"Behave for Jason."

"No promises." She hooked pinkies with Jenna and the girls skipped back over to the other sides of the room.

"Your sisters are something else." Zack chuckled, "Jenna has gotten worse since she met Zoey." His eyes widened, "Not in a bad way, promise."

"Way to stick your foot in it, Zack." Jason chuckled as they went to call their parents about the change in plans.

1-2-3-4-5

"This is going to be a morphenominal party!" Zoey wrinkled her nose as she walked over with Jenna behind Jason.

"What kind of word was that?" Jenna whispered, just as confused.

"I don't know."

"Yo, Billy Boy, you look just like that Sherlock Holmes dude."

"Very astute, Zack." Jenna dodged as Zack tried to wack her on the head.

"Thank you, King Tut."

"Oh, my gosh. You two look so cute." Kim tried to reach over and pat Zoey's head and almost got her hand slapped.

"Touch the ears and lose the hand, Pinkie."

Jenna was wearing a pair of yellow capri leggings, a white feathery tutu, a white quarter sleeve leotard, a purple ruffled shirt, white gloves, purple ballet flats and a purple bow in her hair.

Zoey had on a pair of black capri leggings, a red tutu with white polka dots, a black quarter sleeve leotard, a red shirt with white polka dots, white gloves, red ballet flats, a pair of round black ear and a red bow with white polka dots.

"What made you two go as Minnie and Daisy?" Trini asked, curious.

"Well, too many other girls were going as princesses and fairies. We wanted to match in some way, so we were trying to find a costume that would pair us together and be recognizable." Jenna nodded in agreement.

"Why no mask?"

"Kind of hard to look cool with a duck-bill on your face. Not to mention, trying to eat and have fun."

"And there was no way we were painting our faces." Zoey rolled her eyes, "If people can't figure out what we are, then there is something mentally wrong with them and then they need their head examined."

"Wow." Trini said, "Maybe you two will win the costume contest."

"If anyone's winning that contest, it's yours truly." Zack laughed as he gestured to himself, making the two younger girls shove him from behind, "Hey!"

"Oh, hey. Where's Tommy?" Zoey glowered at the pink covered princess.

"His costume isn't finished yet. He said he'd catch up with us later."

"Hey," Zack urged, "come on. Let's go to the party."

"Yes!"

"Are you okay?" Jenna whispered as they followed the teens.

"She's so perky and pink. It's kind of irritating."

"Just like Mitzy." Zoey nodded in agreement, "At least Kim's not a bully."

"True. But," she sneaked a look to make sure no one was listening, "I think her and my brother like each other. I don't know how I feel about it."

"Has he ever had a girlfriend before?"

"A couple, but nothing serious. It's never bothered me before, though." She wrinkled her nose, "Not really sure why it does now."

"It could be a couple of things. She's so Valley Girl that it can be really annoying. But, she's nice and she likes to do a lot of community work. Maybe it has nothing to do with her, specifically, but with the move and," she lowered her voice, "the journal. Since we're pretty sure who they are, maybe it bothers you."

Zoey sighed, "I don't know. I don't think it's the book. I'd hate to think that I'm shallow or petty over something like that."

"Well, take a step back, breath in and out, and don't worry about it. Tonight is about having fun. You can cross that issue when it comes up again. Let's just forget about it for now. Agreed?"

"Agreed."

1-2-3-4-5

"Um, is that your brother?" Jenna pointed to a Frankenstein monster coming into the party, "I mean, he's the only one left."

"I'm not sure. I mean, it looks like it could be, but I can't see my brother acting like that on any given day. Ever." She shrugged her shoulder at the monster who was just dragged to the dance floor, "Yeah, so not Tommy. Let's go to outside to game area. I'm feeling lucky."

"Mini basketball?"

"It's on."

1-2-3-4-5

"Stupid earthquake." Zoey grumbled, "It threw off my game."

Jenna laughed, "At least my brother came back to check on us to make sure we were okay."

"It's not like it was a big one." The girls came back in to grab something to eat, "Let's find Ernie and look around for Tommy. I haven't seen him yet."

"Hey, Ernie." They smiled the older man, dancing with the music, "Do you need us to do anything."

"How about you get some food first, then you can help me pass out ballots for best costumer." The owner, dressed as a vampire, handed them drinks and smiled, "I'm pretty sure I already know who's going to win."

They looked over to where he nodded and laughed, "Whoa!" Jenna grinned, "Wicked robot costume. Do you know who that is?"

"No idea. But, he's made quit the impression."

"Have you seen our brothers?" Zoey scanned the room, looking for Tommy.

"After the tremor, Jason and the others took off. Said they had to help someone with something, but didn't say what." He looked over at the frowning Jenna, "Don't worry. I promised to keep an eye on you. He didn't want to go until he knew I wouldn't let you leave the party."

"Typical." She rolled her eyes and turned to her friend, "Pizza?"

"And wings." They laughed and took off for the bar, forgetting the dancing robot in lieu of some good party food.

1-2-3-4-5

"Look who showed up." Zoey nodded to the door as their brothers and their friends came in with their friends, "They missed most of the fun."

"Whatever." Jenna rolled her eyes as they continued to dance, "Hey, cheer tryouts are coming up. Are you gonna go?"

"You bet." She stopped and had to stifle a giggle, "My brother finally showed his face." She pointed to Tommy, having dressed up as the Frankenstein Monster, "He looks better than that other one."

"How much you wanna bet that the other one was real and that the reason that they left was to go fight him." The girls shared a smile, looking back at their brothers, "I mean, it makes sense with our theory."

"I guess we won't know until we gather more data." Zoey nodded, "Looks like another entry for the book."

1-2-3-4-5

"Did you see the look on Mitzy's face?" Jenna smirked as they walked down the hall toward their lockers, "I mean, she was furious."

"We can't cater our lives around that pink ball of fluff." Zoey smiled, shaking her head, "It's not our fault that she didn't receive one of the lead roles."

"I kinda wish that we were doing Rumpelstiltskin like the high school."

"Wanting to show up Kimberly as a better Miller's Daughter?" Zoey asked, grabbing her books for their next class, "Believe it or not, and don't you tell anyone I said this, she did a great job in her." She rolled her eyes at the look of shock on her friend's face, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shut it."

"Bet you're real proud of yourselves, aren't you?"

The question behind them made the two friends want to bang their heads on their lockers. Turning around, they spotted Mitzy and her two little tag-a-longs glaring at them.

"Actually, yes. We are." Zoey laughed, "I mean, first Jenna gets the role of Gretel, who is just going to kill it, by the way. Then I, shockingly, get the role of Little Red. We're on cloud 9."

"Got that right. Now, they're not princess roles like some of the others, but we're still honored to get them." Jenna scratched her head, "I forget. What role did you receive?"

"She one of Cinderella's step-sisters." One of the tag-a-longs pipped up, ignoring the glare her leader sent her, "I'm the other."

"Shut up, Viv." Mitzy returned her glare to the objects of her hatred, "You were warned about going after either of those roles. You must be all kinds of stupid. Nobody is going to upstage me. Got it?"

"Am I supposed to scared?" Zoey whispered, looking at Jenna, "I mean, I feel like this is a situation where I'm supposed to be scared."

"I don't feel scared."

"Me neither. Just pity."

"Me too." Jenna crossed her arms, "I don't appreciate being threatened, Mitzy. And truthfully, if anyone is stupid around here, it's you."

"Excuse me?!" The blonde's eyes widened in outrage.

Zoey snickered, "She's right. I mean, were you going to hit us? Because, we're both junior black belts. Now, we only use what we learn in self defense only. I promise you that the moment you touched us, we'd have knocked you out. In a hallway full of witnesses that saw you throw the first punch."

Mitzy looked around, nervous, as she realized that she did it again. She confronted two of the most popular, and dangerous, girls in school. She has really got to start thinking of better ways of doing this.

"This isn't over. Believe that." She stomped her feet, whipped around and stormed down the hall.

"Is it just me or is she getting more annoying every day?" Zoey closed her locker as everyone else started clearing out, "She's quit dramatic."

"Tell me about it." They started back down the hallway, "Now, back to Rumpelstiltskin. Did you see my brother in those tights?"

"Forget your brother. Let's talk about Bulk splitting his pants."

"It was like looking at the dark side of the moon."

1-2-3-4-5

"I can't believe that your brother auditioned for a karate commercial."

Zoey smiled as she chewed on her veggie chips, "Mom was fussing over everything the morning of. 'Do you have your belt?' 'Tommy that shirt has a rip in it, grab a different one?' 'Must you wear thing around your head?' I just sat back and enjoyed the show. The look on his face was hilarious."

Jenna laughed, "Man, to see him on tv would be awesome. I wish Jason would put himself out there like that. I mean, he's Mr. Popularity and Tommy, as much fun as he can be, is a little withdrawn."

"I'm really proud of him. He would have never have done this in our old town. I mean, this town has seemed to have brought out a new side of him."

"It could the Rainbow Effect."

"Rainbow Effect?" Zoey quirked her brow, "Are you referring to the journal?"

"Yeah. 'If' it turns out to be true, and we both believe it is, then I'm calling it the Rainbow Effect. They're in every color of the rainbow. Right?"

"Makes sense."

They continued eating for a moment until a shrill giggle cut through the air, making the two girls groan, "Just, make it go away."

"No such luck. Pinkie Pie is fast approaching."

"Well, hello girls." Mitzy simpered as she sauntered over with her two tag-a-longs, Vivi and Kiki, "Imagine my shock and surprise when I realized that you two are on the Cotillion list."

"Cotillion?" Zoey asked, looking at Jenna.

"It's a massive ball they hold every year. Different ages come out at different times to present themselves to High Society as Ladies and Gentlemen in training. Accomplishments are listed in brochure for everyone to read. The older teens go last as part of a Coming Out ceremony. It marks the status of a teen becoming a Young Adult. Someone who's reached the stage of maturity in their life and is on their way to full adulthood. It's all pomp and circumstance. I participated last year. It was irritating, to say the least. Mom told me that I didn't have to do it again if I didn't want to."

"Wow. Sounds painful." Zoey looked at the three fuming girls, who had listened to Jenna's explanation, "Then again, sounds perfect for you three."

"Listen to me you little…"

"Hey girls."

Everyone turned to see their brothers walk over with their friends, "What's going on over here?" Jason smiled, looking at the three trouble makers, "Mitzy, right? How are you doing?"

Mitzy blushed and, stammering, back away from the group, "Oh, I'm fine. You know, just same old boring stuff. Come on girls." With that, they turned around and fled back out of the Youth Center.

"Well, we owe you six a huge thanks." Zoey smirked as she hugged her brother, "I think she was about to say something that was going to get her decked. And I really hate throwing the first punch."

"Glad we could help. We're gonna get some popcorn and drinks and sit at the bar. That commercial is supposed to be coming up. Want to watch?"

"Yeah!"

After shuffling their stuff to the bar with the teens, the girls settle down to watch Tommy's commercial on Ernie's tv.

"So, how was the beach yesterday?" Ernie asked, bringing refills.

"Well, it wasn't exactly relaxing." Billy said, sharing a look with Kim.

"Not sure why my brother went to the beach and didn't invite me." Jenna grumbled, "I would have love to the water. I have a new body board that I am just dying to try out."

"Sorry kiddo. Mom said no. You were at the library all day."

"Blah, blah, blah."

"And on the local front, those amazing heroes, the Power Rangers, have once again successfully defeated another attack on Angel Grove by Rita Repulsa and her seemingly endless horde of monstrous thugs. While the city sustain some property damage, no harm befell any of the citizens, thanks to the incredible Power Rangers."

"Wow." Ernie said, awed by the news announcement, "Great stuff, eh? I tell you, you've got to love the Power Rangers."

Zoey nudged Jenna at the looks the teens sent each others and smiled.

"Tommy, when are we going to see your commercial?"

"I can hardly wait myself." They looked over at Bulk and Skull at the end of the bar, "I got the part you know."

"What happened to your face?" Zoey snickered at Jenna's question, "I mean, you're almost as red as the Red Ranger's suite." The two girls laughed as the teens and Ernie covered their mouths, trying not to smile.

"Say folks, have you ever tried karate?" The two girls sat up in excitement, "You might think you can learn this intricate art on your own. But if you tried, you might end up looking like this." The laughter picked up again as they watched Bulk on the screen floundering around, trying to do the same moves that Jason and Tommy does. "Just a bundle of blobbering blubber. Pretty miserable, huh?"

They were laughing even harder at the narrator's choice of words, "But if you sign up for classes at the Angel Grove Karate Center, it would look like this." The scene switched over to Tommy, demonstrating his skills, looking a thousand times better than Bulk, "Come in today and learn how to master karate at the Angel Grove Karate Center."

Everybody looked over as Bulk started chasing Skull out of the Youth Center.

"Those guys are always fun." Zoey shook her head as she took a drink of her smoothie, "Kind of remind me of punked out stooges."

Jenna smirked, "I'll take the stooges."

1-2-3-4-5

"There's our brothers."

Jenna, stretching her right leg up, looked over and smiled, "Cool. Let's go say hi. You know, before we kick their butts."

Laughing, the girls ran over to the stage where the boys had walked over to with their friends.

"Oh, no. Speaking of props, Jase." Tommy frowned, "I forgot our belts."

"Hey, don't worry about it. We'll get our belts later."

"No, we have to have them. Look, I'll be right back."

"Alright. We'll wait for you here."

"Tommy Oliver's faulty memory strikes again." Zoey rolled her eyes, "I love my brother, I really do. But it seems like ever since we moved, his memory has gotten a lot worse."

"Its just their belts." Kim said, shrugging.

"Today. Yesterday, it was his backpack. The day before was his book report." The younger chuckled the teens astonished faces, "See?"

"Has he always been this way?" Ernie asked, going through a box.

"A little bit. Just small things. But nothing compared to now."

"Well," Jenna grabbed her friend by the arm, "if you'll excuse us, older people, we have a talent show to win. So we need to go rehearse. Toodles."

"Oh, dear." Billy, strumming a guitar, just looked at Jason, "Those two are going to be a handful when they get older."

"Older?" Ernie laughed, "Jase, you and Tommy have your hands full."

"That's for sure." Jason sighed, glancing back at the two younger girls, who were doing handstands in the middle of the Center, "They're dangerous."

1-2-3-4-5

"How long does it take to go to your house and back?" Jenna asked, looking around the Center, "Shouldn't your brother be back already?"

"Yeah, he should. Let's go talk to Jason." They walked up behind the older teens just as Billy, in his cowboy getup, joined them.

"I wonder what's keeping Tommy."

"I don't know. He's not answering his communicator." Jason sighed, looking concerned, "And he should have been back half an hour ago."

"Yeah, did he have to go to Japan to pick up the black belts, or what?" Jenna grabbed Zoey around the waist to keep her from jumping Kim.

"You know, that not funny you guys." Zack walked over with a frown, "I mean, he could be in trouble."

"Affirmative." Billy nodded, "I'm sure something's wrong."

Just then, six high pitched beeps sounded, make the two younger girls, who still hadn't been noticed, look around. Just then, the teens nodded to each other and took off for the hallway.

"Um, that was weird, right?" Jenna pointed. "I mean, besides them not even noticing that we were standing there."

"Well, considering our theory, I think it adds up."

"You think the trouble that they were referring to might be rainbow related?"

"Affirmative." Zoey smirked at her smiling friend, "Thanks for holding me back. I kind of wanted to slap the pink off of her."

"What are friends for." They nodded at each other and grinned, "Now, let them do them, as I'm sure that Tommy's going to be okay, and let's go back over our steps."

"Deal."

1-2-3-4-5

"Up next, we have Jenna Scott and Zoey Oliver."

The girls walked onto the stage in matches Gogo dance dresses, with checkered patterns on them, and white calf-high dance boots. When the music started, the girls began a fun acrobatics dance with old 50's and 60's dance move thrown in. Finally, as the last notes of Locomotion filled the air, the girls sat on the stage, back-to-back, one knee up and smiling at the audience. They stood up at the sound of applause and took their bows.

"Let's give these two amazing dancers another round of applause." The girls got down and sat down in chairs in front of the stage.

"Okay, next up, we've got Tommy and Jason." Ernie announced as stage hands set up a board breaking demo on the stage, "So let's give them a big hand, huh?" Another round of applause sounded as the guys came in and climbed onto the stage.

Everyone watched as their previous Team Ninja training kicked in and they did some complicated karate moves, matching each other. The ended the demo by breaking the boards together. As the audience cheer, the announcer came over the mike, "And now, Bulk and Skull."

"Oh dear." The girls covered their ears as the two bullies took to the stage, trying to sing and play guitars, "Are they tone deaf?"

"Honestly," Jenna cringed in her seat, "with the way Skull laughs, probably."

It just got worse as the two guys started screaming more instead of singing. The fell together on the stage, just making fools of themselves. When they finished, they stood up smiling, very proud of themselves. Unfortunately, they were greeted with an akward silence.

"Are we supposed to clap?" Zoey whispered, still slumped in her seat, "I mean, I don't want to seem rude, but that was bad."

"They don't seem to care." They started to chuckle as the two guys on stage just grinned, "They are who they are. And they're very apologetic about it."

"That's a good philosophy to live by."

1-2-3-4-5

"My brother is driving me crazy." Zoey grumbled, as they walked through the park, "I swear, if he does not ask Kimberly to this dance, I'm not going to be responsible for my actions." Jenna laughed, "I'm serious. I heard him pacing his room last night and rehearsing his speech on how to ask her."

"Oh, goodness." Jenna stopped and stared ahead of them, "Um, Z?"

"Yeah?"

"Should we be worried that your brother is fighting those clay dudes over there? Kimberly's actually holding her own."

"What?" Zoey looked over, eyes widening in shock. They ducked behind a rock to watch what happens. "Who is that gold monkey?"

"I don't know. He'd look better with wings, though."

"Okay, no more Wizard of Oz." Zoey paused, covering her mouth as the monkey and it's clay minions disappeared with Tommy, "No."

"Kimberly's freaking out."

"She's freaking out? What am I going to tell my parents?"

"Nothing."

"What?"

"Think about it. We say anything, it could out their secret. We need to hope that they can save him and they whatever they do, they do it quickly."

"You're right. We need to stay calm. For my parents. And for him."

To be continued…
