Shine

"Happy Halloween motherfuckers!" Lego shouted, waking up a certain group of Pokemon Trainers, who were camped out in the middle of the Obsidian Fieldlands still from last time.

"Five more minutes…" Android 21 whined, since she was still tired, although the other members of the group got up.

"Everyone else is already up but you," Lego said to the Bio-Android. "So wake-"

"Tell me to wake up one more time, and I'll fucking eat you whole and let you digest in my stomach!" 21 shouted at him, her eyes turning black and red like in her evil Majin form, which made Lego shut up, and jolted awake the Demon Slayer group.

Tale merely heard from outside the tent from which he sat still, and could merely whistle at that. "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," he remarked to himself as he took a sip of some coffee, before he looked at the coffee thoughtfully. "Hmm… not that bad."

As everyone left the tent but Android 21, Lego said to the Demon Slayer group, "Well, anyways, Happy Halloween! Today, we're gonna relax and enjoy Halloween!"

"Alright!" Inosuke said. "What does that mean?!" He still seemed excited despite not knowing what Halloween was.

"It means we're gonna quite literally mess around and do almost whatever we want," Lego said.

Tale looked at Lego upon hearing that, and said, "What exactly does that entail?"

"Well, anything other than murdering innocent people and Pokemon and ruining their lives," Lego said. "As such, I'mma let them use their powers."

"So we're gonna be let loose?" Lizzy asked Lego.

"Yeah." Lego looked at them. "Go, be free!"

"Alright!" Tanjiro said. "Nezuko, Lizzy, let's go explore!" The two girls nodded and smiled, before the three of them went off to explore the Obsidian Fieldlands.

"It's time to train like never before!" Inosuke shouted excitedly, before he rushed off as fast as he could, which was actually rather fast.

"Man he's fast," Tale commented.

"Well, considering the fact this is my story by a technicality with you as my guest-star," Lego began as he looked at Tale, "I'm curious to know what you would do for fun in this world."

Getting an idea, Tale looked at Lego and said with a smile on his face, "How about we go show Tanjiro and co. how stupid common shinies really are?" Lego raised an eyebrow at that, curious as to what that entailed.

Before they could do anything, Android 21 got out of the tent, although she looked rather grouchy and still very tired. She had sat down on a log by the campfire silently, yawning once she sat down. She saw a berry on the ground next to the campfire, and picked it up, before using her powers to turn said berry into a donut, from which she promptly ate.

Tale looked over at a coffee pot that he had used to make himself coffee over said campfire. He looked at 21, and said, "Coffee?"

"Please," 21 merely replied, which made Tale nod as he went to make coffee.

Lego watched as Tale made coffee, and gave it to 21, as well as getting some more for himself. "I didn't know you liked coffee," Lego commented. "Although you did seem like the type."

"Cream and sugar are the way to go," Tale said. "Surprisingly, the cream and sugar here in the Pokemon world, as well as the coffee beans aren't that bad."

"Me getting Persona 5 flashbacks to my days as Joker, brewing a shit ton of coffee," Lego jokingly said.

Tale looked at Lego. "Was it good in Persona?"

"Assuming you could brew Master Coffee, yeah, it was," Lego said. "That, and every time you did it and Sojiro was there, he actually explained coffee facts, like different bean types. Sure, Persona was heavily more towards changing people's hearts and making them repent for their evil actions, as well as helping people overcome their trauma, but there were a lot of facts hidden away inside of the games."

Thinking back to the Overhaul arc in Lego's DAU story, Tale said, "Like that dragon you summoned with your mask, Seth."

Lego thought for a moment. "...shit, I actually used my mask." He facepalmed. Tale was slightly confused… but didn't think it mattered too much.

"Well, anywho," Tale began as he stood up. "Let me go get the shinies, and then I'll go ahead and flaunt said shinies."

"I guess I'll tag along," 21 said as she drank some of the coffee.

"Well, while you two do that, I'mma head off and do my own thing," Lego said. Before Tale or 21 could say anything, Lego straight up just disappeared into thin air.

"Hmm," was Tale's reaction, before he and 21 went to go find Tanjiro and co.

Upon finding the group, Tale noted that Tanjiro and Nezuko were practicing their sword skills. Even outside of the world of Demon Slayer, the two were training hard. It was admirable in a way.

"Yo," Tale said as he called out to Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Lizzy who was off to the side, resting in the shade with her Munna.

"Oh, Tale, 21," Tanjiro said as he looked over and saw them.

"Where's Lego?" Nezuko asked. "Normally he'd be accompanied by you two."

"Well he decided he two was going off to go one whatever misadventure he felt like doing, similar to Inosuke," Tale stated. "I thought I'd come by since I felt like screwing with you all."

The three Demon Slayer characters, as well as 21, were surprised, before Tale took out a Pokeball and threw it, before out came a Shiny Mothim. "This is a Shiny Mothim," Tale told them as it sparkled once, before the sparkles faded.

"Woah!" Lizzy said as she looked at it. "That's cool! It sparkled!"

"Because it's a Shiny Pokemon, which is incredibly rare," Tale said. He smirked a bit. "But luckily, they're stupid common here in the land of Hisui. Lego can actually testify to that, and my deeds capturing Shiny Pokemon."

"Do you have any others?" Nezuko asked while examining Tale's Shiny Mothim. She thought the blue on it was pretty.

Tale could only smirk, before he sent out five more Pokeballs, each containing Shiny Pokemon. Including the Shiny Mothim, he had a Shiny Bidoof, Starly, Abra, Drifloon, and Buneary.

Tanjiro was intrigued as he sniffed at the area. "They have a similar scent… is it because they're Shiny?" He hummed at that, intrigued.

"I can tell that the Bidoof is brighter than a normal one," Lizzy commented. "And that Starly is more brown than dark gray." They did fight Bidoof and Starly for their little test from Lego.

"Correct," Tale said to Lizzy. "Shiny Pokemon are a whole lot more scarce in the future of the Pokemon world, or present day. But there are a few moments where people will find them in the wild. Or get them through events or gifts."

"Really?" Tanjiro asked.

"From the way you're making it sound like, it's almost like it could be turned into a business," 21 remarked. "If Shiny Pokemon are as rare as you say, then no doubt about it, there are likely people who will hunt and capture them to make money via the Black Market." Considering the fact she is a scientist, and lives in the world of My Hero Academia… Tale wasn't too surprised she had jumped to that conclusion.

"Actually, yeah, that's true," the Realmcrafter said. "I know for sure that me and Lego's people Shiny Hunt a lot. It's practically another side of the Pokemon games, and there are a lot of methods behind it. There is even a Shiny Charm that doubles your chances of getting a Shiny Pokemon."

"I want a Shiny Pokemon!" Lizzy said, wanting one like Tale's Buneary.

"Well, as long as we're here in the world of Hisui, you're likely to encounter one later on down the line," Tale said.

"Hmm… I wonder where Lego is," Tanjiro commented out of the blue, which merely caused Tale to shrug.

"You sure it's him?"

"Yeah, hundred percent."

"Goddammit… this is the last thing we need right now…"

"We can take him. It's only one Pokemon, right?"

There was the shaking of a head. "No, no it's not that easy. Hell, I don't even know how this battle would go. I've never fought this specific form of the Pokemon."

"Y-You haven't?"

"I've fought normal Lugia, but not Shadow Lugia." Stabbing a knife into a photo on the table in a room full of maps, records, scrolls, and a few weapons (swords, javelins, bows, you name it) hanging on the walls, Lego began to walk away from the table, wearing a cloak that had an emblem on the back of the cloak with four hands together. "It's time we dealt with him, once and for all." With the Bandit known as Charm accompanying him, they left the room, leaving the dagger on the table…

Right where it was, stabbing the photo of Volo right on his forehead.

Next time we cover this arc, I believe it shall be the last one. I do wish to cover more in this story than Pokemon. Likewise, it'll be Tale's last appearance for the foreseeable future. Again, go check him out, he is the Talespinner69, and his stories are amazing.

All questions will be answered next time.

And Happy Halloween!
