"Hey at least this way my dad never has to worry about burglars" Fred said as he smiled a little as he worked on his trap
"Oh yeah, and what Burglar is gonna activate a doorbell trap, a mail man?" Velma asked with a sarcastic tone

"Her point has been made" Daphne added as shaggy opened the door to show a post man hanging upside down
"Package for Fred Jones" the postman said with a flat tone as he was used to this by now
"oh cool thanks" Fred said as he took the package and closed the door before he kicked the rope lever which spun and a shout and a thud was heard from the postman outside
"What's this, an insta trap?" Kurama asked with a snicker
"No, but a package from our new friend Mr. E" Naruto said finding Mr. E's symbol on the side on a letter
"That isn't creepy at all" Daphne said with a shudder
"Saved this for a rainy day, enjoy" Velma read from the letter
Fred opened the package and looked inside
"A purse?" Kurama said flatly
"Very nice" Daphne said as she took a look at it
"100% real gator, made in Gatorsburg" Velma read on the tag
"Gatorsburg? Scooby asked curiously as he sniffed the purse along with Kurama
"... Fake, it's fake I can sniff out fake stuff" Kurama said as he stopped sniffing
"I got a test to show if it is fake, sorry Daph" Naruto said as he put the bag on her arm and she winced
When the purse was removed it showed where it was she now had blisters
"Daphne's allergic to Imitation animal skin, so we may have just discovered a fake animal product ring coming from Gatorsburg" Naruto said
"Well let's go to this Gatorsburg" Fred said as they all got ready to leave
"Won't be much, town went dry when they ran out of gators" Velma said
"Well on the way can we stop at a drive through?" Shaggy asked as he held his stomach
"rah huh! I'm starving!" scooby said as he nodded in agreement with his best friend
"no problem gang we can stop at miss Kushina's on the way" Fred said as they all left through the front door…….and got caught in Fred's trap
"Fred!" Everyone yelled as they looked at him as he chuckled sheepishly
Naruto swung a bit reaching into his shoe and pulled out a object
"a Laser pointer? Velma asked with a raised eyebrow
"Super charged… you might want to keep still, it's lethal" Naruto said as he aimed it at the rope and fired actually shooting a real laser that cut the ropes freeing them in a pile
"Ow! get off my tail fat ass!" Kurama groaned from under Velma
"Who's hand is that?" Daphne asked in a panic
"Sorry." Fred said as he quickly got up and helped Daphne to her feet
"Get caught in enough of your rope traps so I carry a little thing to help" Naruto said
"A literal laser pointer, like, only you man" Shaggy said as he shook his head
"Hey at least this one turns off first one didn't turn off until the battery ran out, and it was a Duracell" Naruto said with a smile as he helped Velma up

the mystery machine was making its way into Gatorsburg
"like I'm so glad miss Kushina added a drive through" Shaggy said as he smiled as he reached into a bag to fish out some food
Kurama sniffed the air "How can you even make Grease smell like yourselves" he asked as Shaggy and Scooby ate

Velma nodded this before she noticed a flier falling out of the bag of food "Elect Kushina?" she read from the flier
"Yeah mom' running for mayor, thinking if she can handle me it'll be a breeze" Naruto said as he chuckled
"well it is thanks to her your little attempts at building a mech suit was ended before you could destroy the town" Daphne said with a smile
"I still ain't giving up on that, mark my words we'll come up against something and boy howdy are we gonna need it" Naruto said with a determined smile
"I'm sure" Velma said as she rolled her eyes but smiled
"Just like we needed that mobile crane suit you made in 4th grade?" Fred asked with a chuckle

Fred parked the mystery machine in the town square and everyone got out to take a look around
"This place just reeks of depression… with a faint scent of gator meat" Kurama said as he sniffed around
"We should probably split up and take a look around Fred said
"Dibs on Naruto/Velma, jinx!" Naruto and Velma said together before they both smiled at each other

"Hey, who knows, maybe you'll run into something you can eat… and not watch them eating everything" Naruto said as he and Velma headed for a building nearby
Kurama rolled his eyes as he followed Scooby and Shaggy into the abandoned burger joint and saw them already eating what looked like old burgers
"God, do you know how long those things have been there?" Kurama asked as he turned slightly green

"Like lets get back to the others, this place gives me the creeps" Shaggy said as he shivered as he looked at the hotel

"And there it is" Kurama said hearing the screams of the others

"There should be an explosion of Naruto's invention scaring him off in… 3… 2…" Kurama then held up a toe of his paw as a explosion was heard

"I've been with you guys for years I have you down like clockwork" Kurama said with a smile
soon they arrived back in main street and saw the others covered in smoke near the mystery machine which was also covered in smoke
"Like what happened?" Shaggy asked curiously
"Gator people" Naruto said as he dusted himself off
"What exploded this time?" Kurama asked curiously
"One of my experimental smoke bombs this one had a bit more kick than the others" Naruto said chuckling sheepishly
"Worked well nonetheless" Fred said as he dusted himself off
"Though it will take forever to clean my hair Daphne said as she shook her hair
"Yeah Daph worry about your hair, not the fact we almost got eaten" Velma said flatly
"E-e-e-eaten?" Scooby said frightened
"Like let's get out of here then!" Shaggy yelled in a panic
The gang got in the mystery machine but when Fred turned the key… nothing
"oh this is a good sign" Velma said as she sighed
"I'm on it" Naruto said as he went outside the vehicle and went to the front of the van and opened the hood before his eyes widened in surprise
"What's wrong with the engine?" Fred asked as he stuck his head out of the passenger window

The others left the mystery machine and looked and the whole engine was gone
"Who steals a whole engine?" Velma said curiously as this was a new one for them
"And without any machinery being heard they ain't exactly feathers" Naruto said
"anything you can do cuz?" Daphne asked Naruto knowing he could probably do something
"Not unless you want a supercharged vehicle going 100 MPH in seconds" Naruto said with a grin
"pass" Kurama Velma and Daphne said together with flat looks while Naruto chuckled

a few moments later the mechanic who introduced himself as Grady Gator, had his large tow truck stop the mystery machine outside of a hotel
"Hey brat, this is the same hotel that a strange scent was leading me too" Kurama whispered to who Naruto nodded at this
"sence I can't get you all a new engine until morning you all can stay here at my sister's hotel" Grady said as everyone got out of the mystery machine
"when you say sister I hope you don't mean-" Kurama was saying before he git cut off
"hush you" Naruto said as he covered Kurama's mouth
Grady growled at Kurama at this but said nothing as he drove off with his truck
"you are so immature" Velma said to Kurama as Naruto uncovered his mouth
"what? we're in a swamp town all that's missing is a banjo and a guy squealing like a pig" Kurama said with a snicker
Scooby perked at this and ran off and came back with a banjo and gave it a few strums making Kurama laugh
"... How you do that is another mystery entirely" Shaggy said as he shook his head at his best friend
"I got risters on me ringers!" Scooby said before he laughed along with Kurama while everyone else went up to the hotel and knocked
a woman with red hair and crossed eyes answered "who the heck are you?" she asked with a suspicious tone
"Uh our van in broken down and your brother said you would give us rooms for the night" Fred said trying to be polite to the intimidating woman
"hmmm fine names Greta gator follow me" she said as she let them all in
everyone went inside and were led upstairs
"I have a fee rules here 1 no wondering around after curfew 2 boys and girls are separate so you get your own room" Greta said to Daphne
"I'm a girl" Velma said with a annoyed tone at this
"oh….really?" Greta asked as she looked at Velma with a critical eye
Naruto was behind her with his signature wrench ready to smack her but Velma shook her head making him stop
"Wow either your flat or that's one tight outfit hun" Greta said bluntly before she looked away from Velma who's eyebrow was twitching before she took Naruto's wrench and went to go smack Greta but Daphne grabbed her arm stopping her
"Velma that's classified as murder" Daphne said as she took the wrench and tossed it to Naruto who went to go smack Greta but Fred stopped him
"Hmph… it's a tight outfit, I have a rack just don't let it be show" Velma grumbled
"ok and the final rule…..no pets!" Gretasaid as she pointed at scooby and Kurama
"Ret, where?" Scooby asked looking around
"…..don't tell him he might crack" Kurama said with a snicker at this
"sorry guys looks like your both bunking in the mystery machine tonight" Fred said to the two pets
"that's fine I have a stash of food I have hidden in the van" Kurama said as he jumped off Naruto's shoulder and led scooby down the stairs
before Scooby shot off outside right past him
"... I shouldn't have said that out loud huh, Scoob, it's not that kind of food!" Kurama said as he chased after him
as Greta led them to their rooms they passed a open door where they saw a younger man with black hair
"Don't mind him that's just my son Gunther" Greta said as she led them to some doors
"Have a good night kids" Greta said as she walked off
Naruto leered at her as she walked off
"What, having second thoughts on forgiving her for calling me a guy?"Velma asked with a raised eyebrow
"No… you notice she has a slight resemblance to the gator woman that attacked us?" Naruto asked
"it's a swamp town probably looks like a lot of the wild life here" Velma said with a snarky tone
Naruto laughed at this before everyone went into their rooms
"Do I want to know what Kurama has stashed in my van?" Fred asked as him Shaggy and Naruto stood in there room
"Nothing too bad would you believe he's into baking now?" Naruto asked with a grin as he sat down
"Should I be afraid of that?" Shaggy asked curiously
"why? I mean it's baking. What could go wrong? Naruto asked curiously

"Ahhh yeah." Kurama said as he sat in the front seat with his back paws up on the dash
"Rhat is in these brownies?" Scooby asked curiously
"Would you believe special ingredient?"Kurama asked as he pulled out a baggie of brownies from a secret compartment
scooby sniffed at the brownies curiously at this
"Try one buddy and take a load off just a piece though." Kurama said as he smiled
they then heard a noise outside making them both jump
Kurama went to the back window to take a look outside whole scooby in his panic ate his brownie and ate 3 more from the baggie
"hmmm there might be something out -Uh oh." Kurama said as he turned to look at scooby who had ate the last brownies
"Relicious brown, brownies." Scooby said as he licked his lips
the van then shook violently as they heard roars outside
"oh this will end well" Kurama said with a flat tone as scoobys eyes went wide
Suddenly gator people's face slammed into the windows growling
scooby gained a panicked look at this before something in him activated and his eyes dilated
He suddenly opened the door slamming it into a Gatorman's face knocking him over as the monsters eyes were crossed
"I'm Ron Kong phoney!" Scooby yelled as he attacked the gator people with a karate yell
"Ha ha, go cuz!" Kurama yelled laughing as he watched

Naruto was laying on his bed looking up at the ceiling and soon he looked at Fred who was looking over a trap magazine while Shaggy was looking at a restaurant magazine
"Man, Kurama must be a good cook, I haven't heard one whimper from Scoob." Shaggy said
"Well he did learn from my mom" Naruto said as he smiled
"Think I should go check up on them?" Shaggy asked as he stood up from his bed
"sure go ahead I was thinking of going to check the parameter of this place anyway" Naruto said as he stood up to go with Shaggy
"miss Greta won't like that" Fred said as he looked up from his magazine
"Who cares, I'm more surprised we haven't been attacked yet, like usually that happens when we're in the creepy hotels." Shaggy said as he frowned
"don't tempt fate buddy" Naruto said as he left the room
"Yeah besides usually it's Scooby that gets attacked when he's left alone." Fred said turning a page on his magazine as his friends left the room
"Ok buddy you go check on scooby and Kurama I'll go take a look around" Naruto said as he looked at Shaggy

"ha ha ha you blow up one furnace and your branded for life-woah!" Naruto grumbled as he walked past a door which opened and a hand grabbed him by the back of his short and dragged him inside
Naruto entered a stance only to see it was Velma who was smiling at him
"Velma you know I hate it when you do that." Naruto said as he calmed himself as he sat down on a bed in the room
"Were you sneaking out to come see me?" Velma asked as she sat next to him
"well yea I was worried about you especially after what that hag said" Naruto said with a scowl

"Yo Scoob how's— zoinks! Shaggy yelled in shock as he saw what looked like 3 gator people on the ground in a pile while Scooby had the biggest ones leg in a hold
"say runkle evil doer! Scooby yelled as he pulled on the gator man's leg making a audible crack and the gator person to cry out in pain
"Hahahahahaha, yeah say it!" Kurama laughed as he clapped watching from the side
"What the Jinkies is going on? Scoob… fought them?" Shaggy asked surprised
"Don't get too close… he's high as a kite." Kurama said

"He ate all of my special brownies now he's a martial artist." Kurama said with a snicker
"Rong Kong phooey!" Scooby yelled as he karate chopped on of the gator people on the head

"Wow." Shaggy said as he pulled out his phone and took pictures
"you may want to call the cops I don't think these guys are gonna be doing the usual chase scene thing" Kurama said with a snicker as one of the gator people started yelling uncle
"I will just as soon as I send these pics to the gang." Shaggy said as he tinkered with his phone

Daphne Fred and Shaggy were walking around the hotel looking for Naruto and Velma after Shaggy had told them what happened
"Hey Naruto you- oh!" Daphne said as she entered the room and saw Naruto and Velma on the bed making out

um it's not what it looks like? Naruto asked with a nervous chuckle
"So you have an explanation for why your hands are on Velma's ass? Daphne asked
Naruto paused at this as he looked at Velma who was still in his lap and his hands were indeed on her ass …..i got nothing he said as Velma got out of his lap

"Get this Scooby was so high he thought he was Hong Kong Phooey and beat up the gator people." Shaggy said as he chuckled
this got a laugh from Naruto and surprised looks from everyone else
"please tell me you got pictures" Naruto said with a bright smile at his friend

"Well guess we caught the fake Gator product makers before we even finished getting all the clues." Velma said as she sighed

before Fred could question this they heard what sounded like police sirens outside
"Oh like good the cops got here pretty quick after Kurama had me call them" Shaggy said as he led scooby outside who was slowly recovering

"This is amazing but how did you know the gator skin stuff was fake before coming here?" Minato asked curiously

"You kids have got to watch out for that internet stuff, well see you back at home Naruto" Minato said as he got in his car and left
"So what's the letter say?" Naruto asked Velma as they all got Into the mystery machine
Velma opened the letter and read it "There are more mysteries to solve will be in touch Mr E" she read

"Hmmm… Stupid mayor" Naruto grumbled before he shot a emp disc at one of the targets, a old television that was playing some random show
The tv sparked and shut off as the disc glowed

Fred Daphne Velma and the others were approaching the Uzumaki backyard after they had picked up Daphne and had helped Fred's dad at the mayor's office
when suddenly the door to Naruto's lab exploded making Shaggy and Scooby jump in surprise
Naruto! Velma yelled as Naruto and Kurama came out if the lab covered in soot

"don't hey me are you ok?" she asked as she inspected him for any wounds
"Well my arm tingles a bit from that punch with my new super glove but other than that I'm okay"
"He's working on parts to go into his future suit, todays invention, emp shoot strength gloves" Kurama said
"Your still on probation cuz so I would wait until your off, Daphne said as she shook her head
"yea like if you get caught making experimental power sources again the mayor is gonna take your lab" Shaggy said while scooby nodded
"Stupid Mayor" Naruto grumbled as Velma patted him on the shoulder
"like anyway we're going to get a clam pizza, front he Clam Cabin, you in? Shaggy asked curiously as he and scooby smiled at the idea of food
"I'm in, oh by the way say high to our new security cameras. There's a doorknob thief and mom wants to catch them to beat them up" Naruto said flatly pointing at a camera in the lab and one on the tree nearby which overlooked the backyard
"That's not concerning at all" Velma said with a flat tone as they all left
"Doorknobs, why would anyone want to steal crystal doorknobs?" Daphne askedas they all got Into the mystery machine

Fred was driving the mystery machine down the road along the cliffs after they had to leave the clam shack without getting any food since the shacks door knob was stolen
"Ok this is starting to become a epidemic" Daphne said from the front seat

"Daphne smiled at this but was a little jealous" as she looked at Fred
"shows what you know this was from the 80s" Fred said with a smile

"... Don't listen to them baby" Fred muttered as he rubbed the steering wheel
"Wow your losing to traps and now a van" Kurama said to Daphne with a snicker

"I would have better luck then you if there were other fox's in this town" Kurama said as he blew a raspberry at Daphne sending spit everywhere

everyone was outside the parked mystery machine while Minato and Bronson were listening to their report
"So there was a truck that tried to ram you kids off the road? Minato asked curiously
"rah with no driver" Scooby said in a panic
"a ghost truck?" sounds like a tourist attraction Bronson said with a grin
"Yeah, we've already found tire tracks so it's not a ghost truck." Naruto said as he shook his head
"What happened, the gadget master didn't have a gadget that couldn't stop a big bad truck." Bronson said with a laugh
Naruto grumbled at this as he crossed his arms
"at least he gets things done while you eat a doughnut or 15" Velma grumbled under her breath
"Ha!" Kurama said as he cackled madly
"mmmm doughnuts" shaggy said while him and scooby smiled

"Ok kids I'll escort you home!" Minato said as he tried not to laugh while Bronson growled at Velma's dig at him
as Minato got into his patrol car and the teens got back into the mystery machine Minato noticed Naruto and Velma holding hands as they got into the back of the mystery machine
"Could they… no… maybe." Minato muttered to himself as he started his patrol car and followed the mystery machine

Naruto was in his mom's restaurant waiting for his friends to pick him up so they could go look for clues about the ghost trucker

"no I adjusted these to be magnetic so all I need to do is throw them under the truck and boom! it will unleash a EMP that will shut the truck down Naruto said as he
"Hmm I think you were better off shooting them then." Kurama said flatly
"The glove is still in development so for now thus is the best I can do in a pinch" Naruto said
"We'll throw good, at least better than you did in baseball, HA!" Kurama said as he laughed

"still curious how those two convinced the brat to let them use his discount" Kushina grumbled to herself as she leaned against the counter
"When it comes to food getting those two are geniuses." Minato said
"yea but the brat isn't one to pay that big a price for a reason Kushina mused as she watched Naruto get into the mystery machine
"What you think blackmail, what could those two possibly have over Naruto." Minato said
"hmmmmm" Kushina said as she watched Naruto smile at Velma who smiled back before the mystery machine drive off

"Ok you two here you go moms famous Uzumaki pizza with 9 kinds of meat,careful it's hot" Naruto said as he handed Scooby the pizza box

"So what's the plan?" Naruto asked Fred who was driving
"We have to find where that truck is going, if it's holding the stolen doorknobs it has to be keeping them somewhere." Fred said as he focused on the road
"I looked into this online and there has been several sightings all of them in the mountains overlooking the beach" Velma said as she held up some printed out reports
"and that's why your the Brains of the operation" Naruto said as he smiled and hugged Velma with a one armed hug as he sat next to her
"Then that's where we start looking." Fred said as he drove

everyone was in front of a mountain side which overlooked the beach
"Like for a doorknob thief he's terrible at hiding his tracks." Shaggy said as they found a tire trail that lead them to a rock wall
"either overconfident or he's stupid" Daphne said as she looked at where the tracks ended
"Alright the tracks stop right here so either this truck goes through walls or there's a switch somewhere." Fred said as they all got out of the mystery machine
Shaggy leaned against the rock wall when suddenly a part opened up showing two shaped holes and shaped objects of a square and a star
After putting them in the holes Scooby looked down as the rock he was sitting on raised up then after putting his butt back down on it the rock went back down and the rock wall opened up
"Good work you too, and look, the tire trail keeps on going." Fred said as he pointed
everyone went into the hidden passage and after a bit of walking they all spotted what looked like a bunch of wooden boxes which were filled with crystals
"Holy crystals!" Shaggy yelled looking at the piles of crystal doorknobs
"Let me at that pile, I can sniff out that Diamond easily." Kurama said as he grinned
"get to it buddy" Naruto said as he nodded as Kurama was the best at identifying stuff
"Geronimo!" Kurama said as he jumped into the pile his tail wagging as he dug into the pile
"so whoever this guy isn't better be desperate for money if he's stealing every door knob in town Daphne said as they looked at the piles and piles of boxes
Suddenly the group flinched as headlights came on behind them
"of course" Naruto said with a sigh while Kurama poked his head out of the pile he was searching in
"Like it's the ghost truck!" Shaggy whimpered
"rikes!" scooby yelled in terror as the lights of the truck showed at them
The Truck let out its monster roar/horn
move! Fred yelled as he led them all out of the cave and they all quickly piled into the mystery machine and drove off
as they turned around a corner they heard a roar that sounded like a horn as the ghost truck chased after them
suddenly Naruto kicked open the back of the mystery machine with a confident smirk
"Oh yeah, honk at this!" Naruto said throwing one of the EMP discs at the road
the disk slid underneath the ghost truck and its magnat activated and shot up and slapped against the truck and fully activated covering the truck in sparks
"wow it's actually working" Velma said as the ghost truck started to slow down
you doubted me? Naruto asked with a pout while Velma chuckled sheepishly
Fred stopped the mystery machine and they all got out to go take a look at the now stopped and still sparking ghost truck
When it finally stopped a man fell out lightly twitching as small surges of electricity shocked him
"What- the- heck- man bzzz!" The man said between zaps
"Who the heck is this guy?" Naruto asked curiously
"Rung Ladderton?" Daphne said in surprise
"that's his name? gahahahahaha! Kurama cackled as he rolled on the ground
"But why, you're the heir-" Daphne was asking before she was cut off
"Of a ladder company something nobody ever replaces." Rung said as he shook from the shock he was still feeling
"Clearly you never met my dad, he has a bit of bad luck with ladders." Naruto said with a snicker
"I get it you stole all the doorknobs so you could find the diamond and keep your failing business afloat" Velma said as she nodded In understanding
"Yes, though the mayor would think it was Avocados due to his ancestor being the thief who replaced it, I found his journal, only dang problem he didn't put down what doorknob he replaced was the Diamond!" Rung yelled out
"You mean this Diamond?" Kurama asked as he hacked a bit and spat out a diamond
"ewwwwww!" Daphne yelled at this finding this disgusting
"i'm not touching that" Velma said with a shudder

"we were being chased and I did the first thing I thought of!"
"well at least we solved this mystery now we just need to call Naruto's dad" Fred said with a smile as he took out his phone
"I won't be taken in so -" Rung was yelling before Naruto grabbed him with his gloved hand and he was engulfed in electricity
"I thought you said that was a strength glove." Kurama said curiously
"strength didn't work out so i adjusted it into a taser glove Naruto said with a smile
"… you broke something with it so Kushina had you take away the strength didn't she." Velma asked as she smiled knowingly
"……maybe" Naruto said with a pout making his friends laugh
"well it got results at least" Daphne said as Rung twitched on the ground
"Alright, I just give up, no more shocking me! I can't feel my hair!" Rung groaned out as he breathed black smoke from his mouth
"zoinks you practically cooked him man!" Shaggy said to Naruto
"hmmm may need to lower the output and focus on paralyzing them" Naruto said as he looked at his glove

Naruto smiled back and nodded glad that for once his gadgets didn't destroy anything
