AN: Hello everyone,

Welcome to the second chapter! Gonna be honest, I didn't expect it to blow up as much as it did in the first chapter. Hope I can live up to the hype.

Just a little note, this story won't be updated as much as my other story due to the amount of lore the Star Wars universe has especially since I'm including parts of Legends and Canon and need to find a way to balance them so there aren't many plot holes and inconsistencies.

Not to mention I also have college work to worry about especially with exams coming up next week so don't expect any updates for a week until I'm done. This includes working on future chapters since I need to focus on my education, so this will be the last chapter for now until then.

Also, recently a beloved member of the Star Wars community passed away due to Covid-19. I am of course referring to David Prowse, the man behind Darth Vader's mask. While James Earl Jones gave Vader his iconic voice and breathing, you gave us the intimidating figure that was Vader. You made him look intimidating and through your actions as Vader managed to give us one of the most beloved villain portrayals of all time.

Rest in peace our friend for you have joined the cosmic Force.

May the Force be with you always.

STAR WARS: RWBY CHRONICLES

CHAPTER II: Visions

Mission to Zygerria!

After having delivered his supply of Spice to the self-indulgent Sangria the Hutt, Jaune prepares for his next smuggling mission: Going to the planet Zygerria to retrieve cargo for the crime lord. The planet he remembers is responsible for separating him from his birth family and his two-year enslavement.

With anger building up inside him, Jaune must keep himself in control of his emotions lest he jeopardizes his safety and earn the ire of Sangria. To complicate matters further, Jaune has been having strange visions of a planet with a broken moon and a woman of darkness.

Now he seeks answers to why he is experiencing these premonitions and what warning do they serve his current situation…

Jaune opened his eyes and saw only darkness and bright lights blinding his vision as he saw the dark void of space once again.

Like before he began hearing the same echoing voices of people he's fairly certain he's never met before this time accompanied by various flashes of color.

"I release your soul, and by my shoulder, protect thee." a feminine voice said again as he saw the outside of the planet glow red, green, and gold

"Let's break some legs~" shouted an energetic female voice as the colors he saw changed to pink, orange, and turquoise.

"What is going on?" Jaune thought as a calm masculine voice spoke and the colors changed again to green with small streaks of black and magenta.

"We're a team now."

The scene changed again as he saw the world change to a dark red, with hints of black and silver as a cheerful and shy voice spoke next.

"Nice to meet you."

"Thanks for the help." said another feminine voice that sounded older and much more confident as the light surrounding the planet glowed a bright yellow with hints of lilac and red.

"This is Dust!" yelled another feminine voice in a higher pitch that screamed high society while the planet held a bright white glow.

"It's tougher than it looks!" yelled another voice of a distressed woman as the streaks of light shone black, white, and amber.

As the last voice finished another woman's voice took over.

Her voice was soft soothing like a mother comforting a child as the light turned white and yellow

"Strangers are just friends you don't know." she said calmly as Jaune felt a calming presence flow through him.

He slowly extended a hand toward the planet as if it were extending a hand to him in return, but the light slowly started to die as the world was plunged into the shadows as the white woman he saw in his last vision appeared once more as shadowy creatures started to advance on him.

"You will not win. I will claim all that I want." she said in her dark sinister voices other shadowy figures appeared behind her. One was shaped like a woman, while the others seemed masculine, one of which had a scorpion-like tail emerging from it while the other looked like a brute.

Instinctually, Jaune reached towards his blasters only to find them not by his side but instead found his lightsaber.

He grabbed the metal hilt as he ignited the blade.

But no blue blade formed.

Instead, it sparked as it slowly started to fall apart in his hands as the various pieces and parts Jaune used to make his weapon was stripped away until only his crystal was left.

He reached out toward his scarred jewel only for it to start to float toward the white woman he held a victorious smile as a dark aura surrounded her hands as they closed around his crystal.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Jaune screamed as he felt his crystal start to violently shake as dark energy was poured into it.

The woman said nothing as she continued chanting as Dark Side energy flowed into the crystal as Jaune felt it scream out in pain through his connection to it.

This in turn started to make Jaune writhe in pain as he could do nothing but watch as his crystal was turned into a tool of the Dark Side with the pain it felt coursing into Jaune like Force Lightning.

After what seemed like an eternity the woman opened her hands revealing what had happened to his crystal.

It no longer shone a luminous blue as it had when he wielded it, but now was a combination of black, white, and red showing that it's allegiance was now to the darkness and no longer served the light.

Tears streamed down Jaune's cheeks as he saw what the woman had done to one of his last connections to the Jedi feeling nothing but pain and anguish as his connection to his crystal was severed.

That fear and grief swiftly turned to anger and hate as Jaune glared murderously at the witch who ruined his crystal.

Before he could do anything else the shadowy beasts that the woman had surrounding her advanced onto him as they took on various shapes and sizes and their appearances started to become clearer.

The monsters looked like black wolves, bears, boars, birds, and other various animals he's seen and learned about through the many holobooks on them in the Archives of the temple during his search for his planet of origin.

But these creatures looked to be constructs of the Dark Side.

They all wore white bone masks with red markings on their fronts with glowing red and yellow eyes peering out of the holes. Their bodies had long bony strikes emerging from their backs and arms, some with more spikes than others which he presumed were the alphas of the packs they lead.

Jaune could do nothing but watch as the beasts circled around him snarling and gnashing their sharp teeth at him, howling and growling as they made ready to descend upon him.

Yet despite these ones surrounding him his attention was turned to another beast entering his line of vision as fear started to seep into his heart once again.

Standing tall in front of him was a large black scaly creature.

It's eyes red with hate…

It's scales looked as black as the space around them…

Its teeth and claws were a deathly white…

With an ear-shattering roar, the mysterious black Rancor stood mightily before him as it's red eyes stared murderously and hungrily through his soul.

Jaune was petrified.

He hadn't felt this level of fear and dread ever since he was a youngling.

His heart pounded away at his chest like a mighty war drum…

His breathing intensified as he struggled for breath...

His body shaking as if he were left on the ice planet Ilum without any proper clothing…

His blue eyes transfixed by the Rancor's hate-filled red ones.

The Rancor advanced closer to him, as Jaune stood helpless before him. Unable to move a muscle and too terrified to even speak or yell as the black beast raised its mighty claws intent on cutting him to pieces on which it would feast on, while Jaune closed his eyes in anticipation of his coming demise.

Jaune's eyes shot open as he woke up from his nightmare in a cold sweat as he looked around his room again before putting a hand to his face in exhaustion.

"For kriffs sake." he groaned as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

Jaune massaged his head feeling as if his brain was pounding the inside of his skull as he slowly got up from his bed and made his way toward the refresher to wash himself off.

Once he stepped out wearing the same clothes he had on before once they were finished drying off from being cleaned.

Jaune made his way to the galley of his ship intent on getting something to eat before he took off for Zygerria.

He opened his freezer taking out a bag filled with triangle space waffles as he set some of them out to heat up in the toaster.

Putting the bag away Jaune took out a carton of blue milk and poured himself a glass as he heard his waffles pop up from the toaster as he set his glass down and put them on a plate.

With a dab of butter and a downpour of syrup, Jaune set his breakfast on the nearby holotable and turned it on to catch up with the latest news that was being broadcasted throughout the entire known galaxy, while he enjoyed his meal.

"Kzzt-Recently another rebel attack has been reported on the planet Ryloth by its leader Cham Syndulla and his insurgency." said a male human reporter as pictures of a smoking Imperial base was shown on the rocky terrain of the planet.

Ever since the end of the Clone Wars, Syndulla and his band of rebels have done nothing but attack Imperial outposts set up throughout the planet using guerilla tactics to ambush Imperial transports delivering food and supplies to those who are unfortunate enough to not have them." The reporter continued this time showing a picture of Cham and his freedom fighters as footage of a battle between them and the Empire's stormtroopers was shown as red blaster bolts were.

"Syndulla claims that he is rallying his people to fight back against Imperial rule and free the planet from oppression."

"We will not stop fighting until Ryloth is free of Imperial rule!" a light orange Twi'lek wearing makeshift armor yelled as the camera shows how many supporters have joined his cause showing the various different colored Twi'leks from blue to green as well as red, purple, teal, and pink among others. The screen then shifted back to the newscaster who had a noticeable scowl on his face.

"Our benevolent leader, Emperor Palpatine, has made efforts to quell this "resistance movement" as peacefully as possible, though it is evident by Syndulla's actions that it will be a long road ahead before a peaceful accord can be made."

A holovid of Emperor Palpatine appeared causing Jaune to drop his utensils and glare at the former Supreme Chancellor.

He appeared to be an old man with some wrinkles on his cheeks and forehead, despite being in his late 60s, and wore white robes with gold trimming to match his radiant, kindhearted smile, and blue eyes that conveyed serenity.

Palpatine appeared to be the embodiment of peace, security, and prosperity, just as he promised when he formed his Empire from the pieces of the Republic.

Yet the angelic appearance was a facade, and Jaune knew that behind the divine look was a monster who had the trust of the Jedi Order and stabbed them in the back.

A monster wanted nothing but power and control over the entire galaxy and had an army of soldiers and war machines that were waiting to be deployed.

A monster who created one of the deadliest Jedi killers the galaxy has ever known, in the form of the black-suited Darth Vader.

Many speculated that he was a droid or skilled bounty hunter, but Jaune knew better.

With the title of Darth, a red lightsaber, Force abilities powered by hate for Jedi, and an appearance that screamed intimidating, there was no doubting that this weapon, Palpatine made was a Sith Lord the ancient enemy of the Jedi Order who used the Dark Side of the Force to plunge the galaxy into bloody wars and conflicts over the last millennia.

An enemy long thought to be extinct only to resurface after a thousand years to start the Clone Wars.

With this in mind, Jaune could only make one logical conclusion about the Emperor…

And that was that he was a Sith Lord as well.

It was a known fact that the Sith followed the Rule of Two after Darth Bane's death. One master to embody power, and an apprentice to crave it.

And with how the Clone Wars were set up, for Palpatine to deconstruct the Republic and exterminate the Jedi there was no denying he was the mastermind behind it all.

Especially when he started to lie about the Jedi.

And he hated the lies he spun...

How Mace Windu, the Master of the Order alongside Kit Fisto, Saesee Tiin, and Agen Kolar attacked him and left him horribly disfigured and needed to undergo surgery to look like how he used to.

How Master Windu had apparently been the main driving force to take over the Senate so the Jedi would be in charge.

And especially how his master was the one planning to poison the water on Felucia rather than the Separatists entrenched there.

Jaune felt his anger growing dangerously high before letting it out in deep breaths before he ended up projecting his emotions into the Force and risk falling to the Dark Side as many other past Jedi have as he continued watching the holovid as it showed the Emperor talking.

"Rest assured we are doing all we can to stop this so-called "freedom movement" from causing any more anarchy on a planet that has already been ravaged by the Separatist Alliance and has suffered enough damage already." Palpatine said in a calm soothing voice as he stood before the Imperial Senate on his large podium in the middle of the Imperial Senate Building.

"I am sending transports filled with supplies that are meant to help the people of Ryloth prosper and grow, but these repeated attacks on Imperial convoys are stunting our ability to help. If this persists extensive measures will have to be taken to ensure that the supplies are given to those who are living in poverty and are starving." he finished as the senators from thousands of different species around him burst into applause as he finished his speech with a smile that expressed peace but contained small amounts of satisfaction.

"What a load of Bantha crap." Jaune grunted as he shut off the holotable and finished his meal, putting the metal tray and utensils in the sink before going to get medication for his head from the medbay.

As Jaune entered the brightly lit white room he saw the various pieces of medical equipment that was installed into the ship.

From a bacta tank to a medical table the room was filled with different medical supplies in the event he got seriously hurt during one of his missions and needed medical attention.

Which was why he had a floating medic droid to help him in case the worst ever happened to him and was currently tending to a small potted plant on the far end of the room.

Upon hearing the door open the dull grey and yellow droid turned it's head to face him looking at him with violet glass photoreceptors that it used for eyes.

"Good morning Jaune. How are you feeling?" the droid asked in a robotic female voice that carried a kind and curious tone.

"I have a killer headache, Sila. Do we have anything for that?" he asked.

Sila was an IM-6 battlefield medical droid Jaune salvaged from a destroyed AT-TE walker when he returned to Felucia on a trip to drop off supplies to the village that helped him recover from the betrayal of his men, the Rancor attack and even protected him from the clones when the village was searched.

"Hmmm, we should have some in the cabinet." she said using her repulsorlift body to move toward the medical cupboards as she shifted through the many pill bottles that littered the cabinet.

After a few moments of hearing the shuffling of containers and rattling of their contents, Sila removed a small orange bottle from the cabinet as she opened it and produced one small blue pill from it.

"Here." she said, handing the pill to him.

"It works best with water." she added handing him a cup of cold water she got from a nearby fridge.

Jaune took the cup as he dropped the pill into the cup and began to drink until he swallowed both the pill and the water.

Immediately he felt the medicine begin to take effect as he felt his headache slowly start to subside bit by bit until he no longer felt his brain pounding.

"Thanks, Sila."

"Your welcome Jaune. Does anything else hurt?" She asked curiously.

Jaune shook his head.

"No. Just woke up with a bad headache today. "

"Arf told me that you had a nightmare yesterday night. Did you have another?"

"...Yeah I did." Jaune sighed.

"Jaune." Sila said in a kind voice, "It isn't healthy for you to try and keep your emotions bottled up inside."

"I can't help it Sil." Jaune groaned, "You know the Jedi taught me to try and let go of my emotions, and I can't just get over what happened."

Sila held one of her servos to her chin as she thought of a solution. Her photoreceptors lit up as she came to a logical answer to Jaune's dilemma.

"Why not seek out a therapist?"

"You know I can't do that. If I tried finding a therapist they might find out who I am and then the Empire will be after us."

"Then a droid therapist perhaps. Or if possible, you can try to find a processing chip you could install into me so I may be able to help you properly handle the stress." She suggested.

Jaune held his hand to his chin as he considered what she said. By finding some sort of therapist droid he could rewire it so that it could be loyal to him, but the issue with this however was that they were mainly used on planets that were highly developed and close to the Empire such as Coruscant and Naboo.

As for finding a processing chip with the data he needed to install into Sila, that too would be a challenge since components such as those were developed by corporations also closely connected to the Empire, but they were the ones most likely to be available to him.

"Hmmm...I'll see if we can try to find some processing chip or something so you could help me out with my er...problems. Getting a droid is too risky." he said at last after some deep thinking as Sila nodded in approval.

"Very well Captain. I look forward to helping you heal in the future."

"Thanks, Sila." turning to leave before stopping himself.

"Before I go do we need to stock up on any supplies here?" he asked and received a shake of the droid's head.

"No. I just performed an inventory check earlier today and we seem to be good on medical supplies, bandages, and bacta." She stated as Jaune nodded.

"Alright be sure to tell me if we need anything."

"I will. Thank you for asking." she said as Jaune smiled before going to the cockpit to find both Oum and Arf waiting for him.

"Oh, Morning Captain." said Oum as Arf beeped his greeting.

"Morning guys. Have either of you performed an inventory check for any supplies we need?"

"Yes, we have sir, so far, we seem to be good with food, mechanical parts, ammunition, and such. We also had our fuel tanks refueled when we were docked."

"Good work guys. Let's clean the ship up a bit before we need to head out."

"Roger roger." Oum said following Jaune out of the cockpit as the both of them began performing various chores around the ships from emptying and filling the dishwasher, taking out any trash he had, and making sure the waste collection was emptied out so he didn't have to worry about it overflowing.

Jaune exited his ship as he headed toward a group of nearby droids asking them to attach a hose that would collect the waste and send it straight into the city's sewage system as well as replace the water systems he had with fresh water.

As the maintenance droids attached the various pipes and tubes to his ship, Jaune heard the sound of the door between the landing platform and Sangria's casino open as he saw the purple slug come his way on her repulsor lift still smoking her hookah pipe.

"(Ah Jaune I'm glad I could catch you before you left.)" the Hutt boomed as she approached him, while he quickly put on another fake smile and acted as if he enjoyed her company.

"(I had forgotten to tell you that there is currently an Imperial Star Destroyer orbiting the planet to help...regulate trade. Because of that, you need some transmission codes to allow yourself safe passage.)" She explained holding a datapad in one of her flabby arms.

"Thanks for the heads up. Mind sending those codes along with the coordinates to meet your friend so I can get your cargo?"

With a push of her stubby finger, the transmission codes were sent into the Shining Arch's nav computer.

"Thanks for that. By the way, you mentioned yesterday that you had some special cargo he had. Wanna elaborate on that?"

Sangria's expression sagged a bit.

"(My friend has come into the possession of some merchandise he wishes for me to sample.)"

"Anything special about it?"

"(Not really. Just be extra cautious when loading it. I don't want it to be… damaged)" She said vaguely as Jaune nodded.

"Alright then. I'll be ready to take off in a bit. They should be here for you in a few days."

"(Thank you Jaune. Have a safe trip and make sure not to alert any...unsavory individuals.)" the Hutt boomed as she began to head inside.

The moment her back turned, Jaune's smile dropped into a deep frown as he turned back to his ship as the droids detached the pipes from his ship.

Boarding the ramp Jaune returned to the cockpit as he and Oum began their last preparations to head to Zygerria making sure the proper calculations for hyperspace were correct.

Jaune eased the controls of his ship forward as his ship slowly started to rise above the platform as the landing gear retracted inward and slowly started to move high above the city as he directed his ship upward and toward the atmosphere.

As the ship passed through the last remnants of the moon's atmosphere Jaune and his crew once again saw the inky black that was space as he positioned his ship and moved the hyperspace lever upward.

The space around them turned blue as the ship went into hyperspace and their mission to Zygerria began.

Oum looked at Jaune as he had a tired look on his face.

"Um sir are you alright?" asked Oum as Jaune turned to face the light brown droid.

"Not really. Woke up with a bad headache after another dream last night." Jaune sighed, "Went to Sila to get something for my head. Guess I'm still tired."

"Why don't you go get some rest?" Oum suggested.

"If I do that, I'm probably gonna have another dream and I really, really don't want that right now." Jaune groaned as he rubbed his eyes.

"The Force has been screwing around with me. I keep seeing a strange planet with a broken moon and an evil woman that had shadow monsters with her."

Both droids turned to look at Jaune. Despite not having the muscle to show their expression Jaune knew they were confused.

"Uh, what do you mean when you saw an evil woman with shadow monsters?"

Jaune leaned his head back into the chair and sighed again.

"Like I said every time I go to sleep, I keep seeing this strange evil woman. She looked like a ghost but had black eyes, red irises, and a black dress." he explained.

"Not to mention she did something strange to my crystal."

"What did she do?" Oum asked curiously.

"You know how my crystal is blue right?" he asked as the pilot droid nodded his head.

"Well in my dream she did something strange to it like...she made it evil. It became white and black with red marks." he said as he looked at the blue tunnel that was hyperspace.

"What about the beasts you mentioned."

Jaune sighed again as he put his hands around his back.

"They looked like wolves and other creatures that have been recorded but they were black, with white masks with red markings and spikes coming out of their backs...They just radiated evil." he shuddered as he remembered the black Rancor staring him down.

"I never saw anything like them."

Pum held his three-fingered palm to the hand of his curved head, as he was thinking.

"Why not try looking up the planet you saw and try to look into its history? It should be easy to find, right?" he suggested, but Jaune shook his head.

"Not likely. When I was young, I used to dream of the planet as well, but no matter where I looked I found nothing about the planet." Jaune revealed.

"It looked like Naboo with water, and lush continents, but some areas were deserts and another part of it was snowy and last I checked Naboo isn't like that. Also, it had a shattered moon and any planet that had that didn't fit the planet's look." he finished.

'Why not try it again. Who knows it might have been revealed now?" Oum offered as he turned his head back to the front.

"I doubt it." Jaune exhaled as he checked the amount of time remaining until they reached Zygerria.

Seeing that he had seven hours until they reached the slaving planet, Jaune decided to try meditating once again.

"Hey Oum, do you mind taking over the ship while I try meditating again?"

"Sure, thing Captain. I'll alert you when we're approaching the planet." the droid replied as Arf trilled in agreement.

"Thanks guys." Jaune smiled as he went back to his room to try meditating again.

Like before he took at the Jedi meditation mat laying on the floor and removed his crystal from the locket his master gave him and began to try to meditate.

"Alright then. There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force." Jaune thought, chanting the mantra of the Jedi repeatedly.

But unlike last time this time felt different…

He started to feel happiness and peace as his thoughts began to slur.

"There is no... emotion…there is peace…

No... ignorance, but...knowledge…

No passion...but serenity…

No chaos...but...harmony…

No death…. only...the Force…"

Jaunes thoughts began to form a hazy swirl as he went unconscious.

After a few silent moments, he heard a voice.

"Remember Jaune, strangers are just friends you've never met." the same motherly voice echoed through his head again as he saw a faint hazy image of a woman with yellow hair.

The image changed as he saw a blonde man looking at him.

"Come here buddy and I'll tell you a story of heroes." said a man's voice that sounded gentle as if it was a father talking to a child.

But why was he hearing these voices that acted so familiar with him?

He's never heard them before in his life.

The images changed again this time as he saw beings with red coloring with distinct feline characteristics appear and the peace he felt turned to fear as a muscular reddish-pink arm reached out toward him.

"Your family let us have you because you are nothing. You were dead weight to them! Your purpose now is to serve us!" A voice growled at him in a thick accent that he recognized as Zygerrian.

He tried to speak out to yell at the man telling him he's a slave, but all he could muster was a scared whimper.

"Hahaha! Looks like I got myself a dog that looks like a sniveling human!" he laughed before striking him with his electrified whip.

"You will make an excellent slave. All we need to do is teach you how to respect your superiors!" he cackled as he struck him again causing Jaune to scream in pain.

For two years Jaune, slaved away at his master's requests usually cleaning the rooms of his estate and slaving ship, to serving him and his guest's drinks and lugging cargo into the ship as he brought more slaves and animals to his planet

He was a cruel man forcing Jaune to stay silent unless spoken to and occasionally punishing him be it for a small mistake or out of boredom along with other cruel punishments.

The fear he felt slowly built toward anger which in turn formed into hatred as he suffered under his oppressor crying out for someone to free him.

He started to lose hope when they came.

A blue woman with two long head tails and a tan-skinned dreadlocked man with a yellow stripe going across his face.

Their faces were serious as they ignited swords of sapphire and emerald.

Jaune watched in awe as they worked their way through each guard.

Their blades blocking the yellow bolts back at the guards.

The way they evaded the guards with agility and grace.

How their blades managed to cut through the armor the guards wore and their weapons.

And most curiously, how they managed to knock back their attackers by stretching their arms forward with their palms open as if they were hit by something invisible.

He continued watching from behind a crate he was using for cover.

He saw the blue woman cut another guard down as his master, who had been knocked down from their invisible attack, raised his blaster at her while she was distracted with another guard.

Jaune's eyes widened in terror as he saw what was about to happen.

"Nooo!" He screamed as he thrust both his hands forward, imitating what the two people with the plasma swords did.

To his surprise, the arm holding the gun jerked suddenly disrupting his master's shot.

The blue woman noticed what had happened and turned her attention to the man who tried to kill her. He opened fire shooting red bolts at her which she deflected away from her.

With a graceful spin, the blue woman stabbed his master in the chest with her blue blade while all he could do was gasp for breath as his body twitched before finally expiring.

The woman turned to Jaune who shrunk under her curious and surprised gaze as she approached him.

She knelt down as she reached him, her lips forming a grateful smile.

"Thank you for saving my life little one. What is your name?"

"J-J-Jaune." He stuttered out as she continued smiling at him.

"And your last name?"

"I-I don't know. I never learned." he whimpered as the woman put a comforting hand on his shoulder as tears slowly welled up in his eyes.

"Well Jaune, you are a slave no longer." she said soothingly as Jaune began to cry and hugged the woman who hugged him back in return.

For the first time in two years, he felt happy again.

After a few moments, the man with the yellow stripe across his face soon approached them once Jaune had finished crying and offered him his own roguish smile.

"Hey kid, you okay?" He asked as Jaune nodded, wiping the tears away from his eyes.

"Can you tell me how long you've been able to use the Force?"

"W-What?" he stammered as he looked the man in the eye confused.

"How long have you been able to use the Force? Y'know lifting things with your mind and stuff like that." he asked again as he sat down next to him.

"I-I don't know. I just did what you guys did and reached my hand out to stop him." Jaune explained pointing to the dead slaver.

"I see." he said as he took out a small metal cylinder that Jaune knew held his sword.

"Do you know what this is or what we are?" he asked while Jaune shook his.

"We're called Jedi. I'm Jedi master Quinlan Vos and my apprentice here is Aayla Secura. We're peacekeepers who use a cosmic energy field made by all living things called the Force to help us protect others." he explained as his hilt began to levitate over his palm.

"The Force surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together and from what we've seen you have the potential to become a Jedi like us as well." he continued letting his weapon hover in the air before setting it on the ground in front of them.

"Wanna try to see if you can levitate it." Quinlan asked as Jaune nodded fervently.

"Alright close your eyes and reach out to try and bring my lightsaber back." he said as Jaune nodded, closing his eyes and stretching his hand forward with his palm open as he did before as he tried focusing on bringing the weapon back.

He tried repeatedly trying to lift it up but found he could only move it slightly.

"I-I can't." he panted.

"Try imagining it slowly hovering over the ground." Aayla suggested, a kind curious look on her face, as Jaune nodded and tried again.

This time he could feel the texture of the hilt. From the leather grips to the metal that made it up, though he could lift it a few centimeters before it clattered back onto the ground.

Jaune looked down away from the Jedi master, afraid he would be wasting his time trying to teach him.

"Good work little guy. If you want we can train you at the temple."

Jaune looked back up at him to see that he was still smiling at what he had accomplished.

"R-Really"

"Yeah. I mean we will need to talk with the council to try and let you in, but I'm confident they'll let you join." Quinlan assured, "The Force surrounding you is unique, and I believe you can help a lot of people. If you don't wanna join we can try and find your family."

Jaune was torn.

Part of him wanted to take the man up on his offer and try to be a hero as he and Aayla had saved him...

But the other part of him wanted to find his family and the planet he came from.

He let out a sigh as he made his decision.

"Can you help me find my family?" he finally asked.

Quinlan nodded his head.

"We'll do everything we can Jaune. Do you know what planet you came from?"

Jaune shook his head no.

"Hmmm, we'll get this figured out once we get back to Coruscant and return the slaves to their homes and animals to their natural habitats. Does that sound fine?"

Jaune nodded as they got up, bringing the other slaves onto the ship they had been using.

Jaune sat next to Aayla hoping that he would find his family and become a hero as these people have been to him.

"Captain! Captain!" he heard a robotic voice call out to him as he felt his body getting shaken.

Jaune slowly opened his eyes as he met the photoreceptors of Sila who was hovering over his body.

"Oh, thank goodness." she exclaimed, "You gave us all a fright."

"W-What happened?" he asked groggily

"You were out cold for about seven hours." Sila explained as Arf beeped in agreement, "Oum tried contacting you through the communication system but when you didn't respond Arf came to get you. He then rushed to the medbay to get me to come look at you when he saw you unconscious."

"O-Oh...I see." he said as picked up his crystal and put it back in his necklace.

"What happened Did you have another dream?" Sila inquired helping him to his feet.

"More like an old memory from the past." he explained, "Just relived having met my master."

"Do you have another headache?"

"No, I don't. Why was Oum calling for me?"

"We're about to pull out of hyperspace in a few minutes." she replied.

"Alright, then I'll go to the cockpit." he responded getting out of his room and quickly turned towards the cockpit.

As the doors opened Oum turned his head to see him walk in.

"Captain! Are you alright?" he asked in a monotone voice that tried to sound as worried as possible.

"Yeah, I am. Just had another dream." he answered as he took his captain's seat.

"Okay...We should be ready to pull out of hyperspace in one minute."

"Alright then." Jaune answered as he pushed a button activating his ship's signature modulator turning an orange screen blue as his ship no longer was the Shining Arch but the Corellian transport ship the Comet and set his hand on the hyperdrive lever.

When the time came, he flipped the lever up as the blue tunnel of hyperspace turned into the blackness of real space.

An orb of blue, brown, and green came into sight as he saw the planet littered with mesas, highlands, and plains along its rocky terrain.

The sight that caught his attention the most though was a large behemoth of a ship that was guarding the planet.

The ship was a massive triangular Imperial 1-class Star Destroyer outfitted with powerful weapon systems from ion cannons to turborlaser turrets from top to bottom along with durable energy shields that would take a ship of equal size and power to dent them

He heard the power of ships like this and how they were able to rip apart smuggling and pirate ships and lay waste to cities and villages life they were nothing, meaning that one wrong move from Jaune would blow his ship up despite it's maneuverability and heavy defenses.

A beeping from his console alerted him that the Star Destroyer was contacting him.

Taking a deep breath, he pushed a button to set up a connection between their ships as two TIE fighters flanked his ship.

"Corellian Transport ship Comet this is Admiral Grakkus of the Imperial Destroyer, Oppressor, state your intentions and cargo to be granted clearance." a high-class Coruscant accented voice spoke through the comms.

"Evening Admiral, I'm here to pick up some cargo on the planet's surface and currently don't have any cargo to drop off." Jaune responded waiting for the Admiral's reply.

"Transmit clearance codes to prove your claim."

Jaune rolled his eyes. He hated how strict the Officers and Admirals of the Imperial Navy acted superior to everyone else below them.

"Alright transmitting clearance codes now." Jaune said as shook his head at the admirals' attitude.

"These codes better work Sangria." he whispered to himself.

After a few moments, the codes were fully transmitted to the Oppressor as the Admiral's posh voice echoed through the comms again.

"Very well, you are cleared for landing." he responded as the TIE fighters broke away from his ship.

Jaune let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding, relieved the codes worked and that he wouldn't become space dust.

Now he just had one problem left…

And that was making sure he didn't lose control of his emotions when he met the Zygerrian trader face to face.

AN: And with that chapter 2 is done.

This was mainly set up to show the regular everyday life Jaune has as well show the influence of the Empire and a new OC that being Admiral Onyx Grakkus of the Star Destroyer the Oppressor. A cold-hearted man loyal to the Empire and is a known Human Supremacist and hates near-humans like Twi'leks, Kiffar, Zabraks, and such.

I also wanted to show the effect the Empire has on media since in Rebels any shots of Palpatine showed him in white robes and looking less deformed than how he actually does look. It also shows how the Empire portrayed itself as the good guys to the public in the more important regions while regions like the Outer Rim saw through that lie.

Like a said before visions are an important part of this story but that doesn't mean they'll happen every chapter. Just trying to set up for when other important characters come along as well as possible situations Jaune might find himself in.

Also, introduced the last droid Jaune has on his ship. Meet Sila an IM-6 Battlefield Medical Droid he also salvaged on Felucia. She's named after the Twi'lek word for caretaker since that's the role she plays for Jaune when he gets hurt. She is a kind droid that enjoys helping others get better.

Remember everyone I have exams coming up next week so there won't be any updates for a little bit until they're done, and I have time to work on them without worrying about my education.

That's all I have to say. See you all in the next update and may the Force be with you always.
