Olympus law Number One Hundred Twenty-five: Any assault on any Servant, Priest, Territory, Sacred Symbols, Sacred City, or Sacred Animal is an assault on The God/Goddess Themselves.
Some Thousands of Year's Ago.
The Olympians sat on their thrones finishing up another one their meeting.
They were on their last subject, hosting The Summer Festival. On the summer solstice they a festival host by one God.
A large fun party where all the Gods, except Hades, got together and celebrated. The festival would also be held at the chosen God private temple.
Hera stood and summon a scroll. "First I would thank Artemis for hosting last year's festival," a round of applause began with Apollo clapping the loudest and whistling. When it settled down Hera continues, "Now the God or Goddess hosting this year festival," Hera stopped herself, she stared at the name with wide eyes.
'Ah must be me," Apollo thought with a smug look on his face, it made sense, he was the God of the Sun and it shines the brightest on the summer solstice, and his twin sister held last year festival of course he would be chosen to host this year. 'Alright let's hear my wonderful name."
Hera finally spoke in disbelief, "Kratos, this year's host is Kratos."
"Yes, the great and beloved Apol- wait? WHAT!" Apollo's stood up and he and the rest gods stared at the God of War in shock. Kratos sat on his throne with an annoyed look on his face.
Kratos would be hosting this year's festival!?
"No," Kratos said, "I won't host the festival."
This shock the Gods, even more, hosting the summer festival was an honor among the Gods and he was denying it.
"Kratos you must, it's a high honor, and rejecting it Is disrespectful," Hera said.
"I'm not doing it find someone else," Kratos growled. Hera tries to argue but felt a lump in her throat that prevents her from speaking.
"He right!" Apollo shouted, "Let me host the festival! I shall provide the best food, music, and entertainment!"
Many of the gods nodded in agreement. Truth was that Apollo did throw the parties and festivals.
"I agreed with Apollo," Poseidon said.
"Yes, as the Sun God I believe it would most appropriate that he hosts the summer festival," Demeter said.
"Yeah, Plus Apollo wants to do it," Hermes said wanting to avoid being a guest at Kratos temple.
The rest of Gods began to agree, even Kratos himself agreed. He didn't want to host any party and festival, and he didn't want any of them in his temple.
All of the gods were in agreement, except for one a certain Goddess.
"I believe that Kratos should be the host," Athena said calmly. This was not surprising, Athena was always defending Kratos.
"And what are reasons daughter?" Zeus asked stroking his beard.
"Well first off to deny Kratos the opportunity to host the festival is unfair he has every right to host as the rest of us. What to prevent the rest of us from losing the opportunity because simply we don't feel like it or someone else wants to,"
Apollo's jaw drop, "Unfair? Every right? What? Athena what are you talking about!? He doesn't even want to!" Apollo points his finger at the scowling Kratos.
Athena had a sharp look in her grey eyes, "Second it great responsibility, hosting the festival to show a God's capabilities, Kratos must host the festival for his honor and his position as a God."
Apollo couldn't believe what he was hearing, has Athena gone mad?
Zeus ponders and ponders. Well, he was pretending to think. Truth was that Apollo was meant to host this year's festival.
Kratos was not close to any of the other Gods and drifting far away each day.
Athena and Zeus plan on having Kratos host the festival in the belief that would allow him to establish a better connection with everyone.
They fear Kratos, look down on him, and avoid him at every opportunity.
Zeus had always made up his mind a while ago.
"Kratos you will host this year's festival, it not just an honor but a responsibility as well, as your role as an Olympian you will uphold this honor," Zeus announced.
"No," Kratos said immediately.
The tension rose, the rest of the Olympians began to shift around nervously.
Zeus raised an eyebrow, "Are you denying my order?"
"Yes," Kratos said unyielding, he didn't want to host this festival and especially didn't want any of the Olympians in his temple.
"Would you prefer to be punishment for your disobedience?" Zeus asked.
The scowl on Kratos's face didn't change.
"Yes."
"Fine then." Zeus stood up and pointed his master bolt at the God of War. "Kratos for your mockery of our Sacred Summer Festival, you shall be punished by... Hosting the Festival!"
Thunder went off and Zeus' order was now. Kratos growl and his black and red aura flowed. He knew he was stuck no matter how much he protested.
"Fine! I'll host it." Kratos disappeared in a flash of red light and smoke. Soon the rest of the Gods took their leave as well.
Apollo was baffled, it was his turn to host the festival! His! Not stupid Kratos!
Artemis knew Apollo was about to throw a tantrum. She flashes Apollo and herself to the island they were birth.
Apollo sobbed as Artemis held his head in her lap.
"Wahhhhh! It was my turn! Mine! Not stupid ugly Kratos! Aaaahhh!"
"There there," Artemis said patting her brother's head trying to calm him down.
Then the day of the festival arrived, the Olympians both major and minor waited outside Kratos temple.
Kratos Temple was based on spartan architecture, a simple design made of red brick and clay tiles.
"When is he going to let us in?" Hera demand while tapping her foot.
"I bet it as messy as a stable in there," Demeter said.
"Could probably use some repairs," Hephaestus said noticing some uneven roof titles.
Apollo stood next to his sister with a big pout on his face. "I should be the hosting!"
Artemis rolled her eyes, "Behave Apollo and maybe you'll get to be the host next year."
"I wonder what entertainment he has planned?" Poseidon thought aloud.
"Maybe he plans to lock us in a room and force us to kill each other," Hermes chuckled nervously. Several others also let out a nervous laugh.
Aphrodite licked her lips, "What if he planned on throwing an orgy?"
Hephaestus pinch the bridge of the nose. The Gods took a step away from the perverted Goddess of Love, except for Hermes and Apollo who took a step closer.
Athena glared at Aphrodite. Then she looked back at the giant bronze temple doors.
Aphrodite was not wrong in thinking that. In the first fifty of Kratos godhood, he was having sex nonstop. He didn't go after Goddesses or nymphs just mortal women. Then suddenly he stopped, even the women were praying to Kratos to pleasure them again he didn't do it.
Kratos wasn't just the God of War, his other domains included bloodshed, carnage, masculinity, violence, conflict, destruction, and valor. He was also the patron God of Soldiers, Warriors, and Veterans.
Finally, the giant door of Kratos temple opens. The Spartan God stood in the opening.
"Welcome." He said in an apathetic tone and guided his guest.
The Olympians we're expecting the inside to messy and filled with gore such as corpses hanging from hooks and or piles of skulls. But to their eternal surprise, the place was clean, super clean.
Not a speck of dust of anywhere, the floors polished to perfection, every piece of furniture was symmetric with one another.
But where we're the servants? As they walk to the main hall they didn't see any servants.
No servants to greet the almighty and beloved Olympians? What is the name of the Gods was going on?
"Um, Kratos where are your servants?" Zeus asked.
Then Kratos said something that shocks the Gods to their cores.
"I don't any," Kratos said. He heard the footsteps behind the stop, turning around he saw the Olympians staring at him like some bizarre anomaly.
"What?" Kratos did not like being stared at.
"No servants! But who takes care of your temple?" Poseidon asked.
"I do."
Poseidon's jaw dropped. The Sea God had thousands of servants in his kingdom and another thousand to maintain his private temple on Olympus.
"But who cooks your food?"
"I do."
"Who cleans your laundry?"
"I do."
"Who takes care of your equipment?"
"I do."
The Gods and Goddesses couldn't believe what they were hearing; no servants, clean his temple, took care of the chores. They were baffled what God in their right mind took care of such trivial matters. They had domains to run and mortals to smite.
But for this natural for Kratos. Spartans we're taught to be self-sufficient. Kratos as a boy he would polish shields until his fingernails fell off. Cleanliness was the way of the Spartans.
Kratos lead him to the main hall. Because there were no servants the Gods had to serve their food and drinks.
After some time Kratos summons the souls of spartan warriors who died in battle. They performed a battle March to inspired bravery, valor, and honor.
Athena was the only one who enjoyed the march, the rest of Gods thought it was a bunch of madmen making a lot of noise.
Apollo grumble, "You can that entertainment?" And guzzle down his wine.
When the march was over, Kratos released the souls and had them sent to the underworld.
The Gods began to mingle with each other. Except for Kratos who stayed on the sidelines.
Aphrodite walks up to him, "Would you like to dance?"
"No."
The Goddess of Love pouted, "Oh come on have some fun,"
"I don't have fun."
Aphrodite continued to pout, "Come on just one little dance," she wrapped herself around his arm. Luckily Athena came to the rescue.
"Aphrodite haven't you worn that dress before?"
Aphrodite's attention went to Athena, "I have?"
Athena held back her smiles, "Yes, The other Goddesses and I couldn't believe you would wear that old thing."
A look of horror appeared on Aphrodite's face. "I'll be right back!" And she disappeared.
Athena couldn't hold back her smile knowing that the Love Goddess easily fell for her trap.
"Your welcome."
"Thanks."
Athena held out her right hand, "Now come dance with me."
Kratos sighed. She got rid of Aphrodite, he at least owed her a dance.
Kratos placed his hand on Athena's waist and she placed her hands on his shoulders. For the next few minutes, Athena guides Kratos in their dance.
After the dance, the rest of the Olympians applaud then.
Aphrodite returned with a new dress and was outraged that Athena stole her dance. Athena gave her the best smug look she had.
Finally, after some hours, the festival was over. The Gods thanked Kratos for hosting.
Kratos began cleaning up. Finally enjoying that he was left alone again.
A Few Days later.
Did Kratos think he was better than the rest Gods, he didn't but that what they thought.
When the Gods found out that Kratos had no servant and took care of his own needs they felt like Kratos had insulted them.
The Gods could be quite petty sometimes.
How dare he clean his temple, how he dare prepare his food
How dare he makes his bed.
How dare he tends to his property.
Kratos heard these rumors but frankly, he didn't care.
Then one day.
Kratos was cutting the cutting grass on the side of the temple.
"Zeus, Hera." He greeted the King and Queen without looking at them. Even by the standard of a God Kratos senses were alarming.
"Kratos," Zeus said. Hera remained silent she didn't care about being in the spartan presence.
Next to Hera was a nymph with light blue-green skin and vines for hair. She was Willow, Hera's assistant, and was also in charge of training new help.
"Kratos you may have of some rumors that you believe that your better than the rest simply because you don't have any servant or help,"
"Hmmm," Kratos continued to tend to the grass. Willow gulped as she watched Kratos cut the grass with a long sharp blade.
"Now I believe such rumors could affect your relationship with the rest of the Olympians and I would like to prevent that."
Relationship? What relationship? Only Zeus and Athena would actively talk to him, the rest avoid him as if he had the plague.
"Hmmm." Was Kratos response.
"Now to end the rumors you will be given a servant to clean your temple and tend to your needs,"
"I don't need any servant." With a single stroke of his blade, the grass was cut in perfect symmetry.
"I will have no such thing, as an Olympian, your duties as a God should not be delayed by such thing as 'chores'" Zeus went on as Kratos continues to take care of his yards.
"What? Like getting drunk? Fooling around with mortal women?" Kratos asked.
Hera let out a snort and Zeus glared at her.
"Besides I like doing chores." Kratos summoned a pair of shears to trim his hedges.
Hera nodded to Willow. The head nymph walks to Kratos and bowed.
"My lord if I may ask a simple request on behalf of my mistress, she and Lord Zeus would simply you chaperone a new servant," Willow said.
Kratos didn't look at the nymph, "You wish to give me an inexperience servant?"
"She knows how to cook and clean, All I asked is that she serves you for some time and after you can send her away or keep her," Willow said.
Kratos thought about it, The other Olympians felt insulted by Kratos's self-sufficiency. Zeus and Hera felt insulted, but taking it in a servant might get them off his back.
"Bring her here."
Willow bowed again and walk back to Hera who gave her a thumbs up.
Hera clapped her hands and a flash of light appears, something red appears, and fell to the ground.
"Ouchie." The red thing said.
Kratos watch the red creature pick herself up. She was tiny, the size of a child, everything about her was red. Dark red hair that fell to her knees, bright red skin, and eyes the color of rubies. She had pointy ears and was wearing a simple cloak.
In all of their time as a God Kratos has never seen a red nymph. They mostly came in shades of cool colors like blue or green.
The little red nymph stood up and dusted herself off. When the red nymph looks up she saw Kratos's amber eyes staring down at her. The red nymph went "Eep! And ran to hide behind Willow.
The Head Nymph let out an annoyed groan, she grabbed behind her and pulled the red nymph back out.
" Ahem, Lord Kratos, this is Milo," Willow said, "Milo, this your new master, Lord Kratos, say Hello."
Milo trembles not saying a word, Willow pushes her forward. Milo nearly fell forward but manage not to.
She quickly bowed, "Milos name is Milo."
Nobody said anything.
"What?" Kratos said.
"Milo's name is Milo." The red nymph repeat.
Kratos look at the older nymph, "What is wrong with her?"
Willow coughs into her hand, "Yes, I'm afraid Milo is a tad... Slow."
Kratos just stared. His new servant was inexperienced and slow.
"Slow?"
"Yes, she didn't get enough sunlight growing up."
Kratos look back at the still bowing Milo. This had to be some kind of mockery.
The others were pissed off that Kratos didn't need help and gave him a defective nymph.
"Stop bowing," Kratos order his new servant. Milo immediately stood up and threw herself off-balance landing her rear end.
"Ouchie." Milo pulled herself up.
Willow glared at the red nymph. Milo shudders feeling Willow's glare many times in the past.
They gave Kratos Milo plant, Milo grass in a small clay vase.
Zeus, Hera, and Willow left Kratos and his servant alone. The two stood in silence, Kratos was still holding his shears.
"What can Milo do, Lord Kratos?" Milo asked.
Kratos stared at her, "Go put your plant somewhere that won't get in my way." Kratos went to trimming his hedges.
Milo bowed and followed her first order.
After a few days.
Having Milo around was... Interesting. She tried her hardest to be a good servant and Kratos gave her simple tasks.
Mop the main hall, she forgot to change the water and used the dirty water to clean.
"How Milo do?" Milo asked. Kratos looked at the hall, the floor was still dirty, several spots were missed, and there were pools of dirty water.
Kratos clean the rest himself.
Then Milo cooked for him.
Kratos was at his dinner table reading the prayers of subjects when Milo came in.
"Milo made Lord Kratos a snack." She sat a gold plate on the table. Everything on it was black and smoldering.
Kratos look at his servant. "What is it?"
"Milo made lamb, bread, butter, and grapes."
She burnt grapes. Milo looks at Kratos eagerly awaiting. Kratos took a bite of what he thought was bread, it was pure ash.
"How Milo do?" She asked eagerly.
Kratos look at the nymph not knowing what to say. But he didn't say anything when he began to smell smoke.
Milo forgot to turn off the oven.
When Milo went to feed Kratos War Horses she forgot to lock the gate and the horses got loose and rampage through Olympus. Plus Milo overfed them and the War Horses left their droppings everywhere.
One night while shaving, Milo wanted to help, she in up cutting Kratos cheek open.
Yet despite all this Kratos couldn't find himself to be angry with his new servant. Milo had no ill intent and was giving it to her to be a good servant.
For Milo, she just wanted to help since the day she was born, like the rest of the Olympian nymphs was raised to help others. She was the runt of her group, always struggling to keep up. The others nymphs bullied and teased her relentlessly.
Big sister Willow was the worst, the slightest mistake, and Willow would explode.
"Wrong do it again!"
"Your worthless!"
"Stop crying you stupid welp!"
"You're useless! Useless!"
Milo sighed remembering Willow's abuse. When big sister Willow got mad she gets her switch out and strikes Milo. None of the nymphs would help or defend, they would even frame Milo for their mistakes to avoid Willow's wrath.
"Milo won't make any more mistakes! Milo will be the best servant ever!" The little red nymph said to herself. She didn't want to be sent back to Willow.
Right now she had to sweep the west hall. Milo had trouble with the broom it was twice her size and had trouble moving it. Milo was sweeping when she felt the end of the broom hit something.
To her horror, she hit a vase and it fell off its display. Milo tries to catch but roll out of her hands and hit the floor.
Crash!
Milo's heart stopped. She broke the vase, she broke Lord Kratos vase.
Milo began picking the pieces, 'Milo needs to fix the vase!' She thought. The last time she broke something Willow gave her quite the flogging, she had marks over her body for weeks.
Milo felt a sharp pain in her left hand, she had cut it on a sharp piece. Milo ignore the pain and kept picking up the broken pieces. Her hands had cuts all over them.
"What happened?"
Milo frozen, there he was standing in the entrance, a shadow covered his face so Milo couldn't see his expression.
He saw her though, he saw the broken vase.
Milo could do only one thing; cry.
"I'm sowwy Lord Kratos!" Milo sobbed, "Milo didn't mean to!"
Milo knew he gonna sent her away, sent her back to Willow, and when Willow finds out that she broke a vase.
"Please don't send Milo away!" Milo blubber, tears and snot running down her red face. "Milo will do better!"
Kratos walks up to her and grabs her arm. Milo saw herself being tossed out, nobody wanted her. This only her cry louder.
"Your hands," Kratos said, "Your bleeding,"
"Milo's sorry Milo's bleeding!" Milo cried.
Kratos hands glowed and the cuts on Milo's hand disappeared.
Kratos stood up, "Go rest up."
Milo didn't know what to do, "B-but Milo broke the vase,"
"Don't worry about it, now go."
"But,"
"That an order," Kratos said.
Milo bowed and left with her head lower in shame.
Kratos look at the broken vase.
When Kratos was still a mortal, his daughter Calliope broke a vase as well, she cried too with he found out.
He scolded her, nothing harsh, telling her to be careful.
Milo returned to her plant and became one with it and waited.
"Nymph."
Milo came back out and went into the main hall where Kratos was waiting.
Milo felt her body stiffen but move along.
She stood in front of Kratos waiting for her punishment.
"Hold out your hands." Kratos. Milo obeys and held out her shaky hands.
Milo closed her eyes and waited for her hands to be struck. She felt something place her hands, Milos opened her eyes, She was given a little broom, right for her size.
Milo looks back at her lord, "Lord Kratos?"
"That should work for you, if you need another let me know," Kratos said.
Milo looks at her new broom and then back to Kratos.
"What about Milo's punishment?"
"It was an accident, now go clean the east hall," Kratos ordered.
Milo bowed and followed her next order.
After that Milo began cleaning better.
"Nymph, have my horses been fed yet?" Kratos asked.
Milo came out and bowed, "No, Milo hasn't fed the horses yet."
"Why not?"
Milo looks at her feet, "The horsies scare Milo, they wanna eat Milo."
Kratos sighed, "Come."
They went to Kratos's private stable that contains his War Horses. A dozen gigantic, solid black horse that breathes fire and likes to eat meat.
They were omnivores, but prefer to eat raw meat.
The moment Kratos enters the horses stood in line waiting for their master order.
Kratos went up to the largest stallion at the end.
"Nymph come here."
Milo peeks into the stable, "Does Milo have to?"
"Yes, now come here." Kratos order.
Milo slowly made her way to the end of the stable and stood next to her master.
Kratos summon a red apple and handed it to Milo.
"Now feed him." Kratos.
Milos held up the apple and in a flash, the giant stallion eats the apple. Milo shriek and fell backward. Milo quickly checks to make sure that she still had her hands.
"Your mistake was showing fear nymph," Kratos said, he summoned another apple and held it up for his horse. The War Horse calmly ate the apple in two bites and licked Kratos palm.
"Now we will try this again," Kratos summon one more apple and handed it to Milo. Milo looked up at Kratos with worry in her eyes.
"Show no fear," Kratos said, Milo nodded and stiffly walk to the pen.
She held up the and the War Horse smell it. Milo felt its hot breath.
The War Horse then ate the apple and licked Milo's palm.
"Tee-Hee that tickles," Milo giggled. Milo looked at Kratos with a big smile.
"Milo like the horsies!" Milo said beaming.
"Good." Kratos summon the rest of the feed; grains, meat, and apples.
The whole time Milo began giving the War Horses names.
"And your names Peanuts, and yours is Sunny, and your is Pumpkin,"
Kratos was slightly amused. The War Horses were to instill fear and carnage on the battlefield, and the alpha stallion was now named Bunny.
Now Milo's favorite chore was taking care of the War Horses. The horses themselves, despite their blood-hungry nature, took a strong liking to the little red nymph.
Kratos did have to a stop to Milo putting pink bows on them.
Nymphs we're not just servants but entertainers as well. Performing songs and dance, telling stories, or poems for the amusement of their masters.
Lord Kratos seem extra grumpy and Milo wanted to make him feel better. She wanted to play him a song.
Milo sat near her plant, she had a little flute and was trying to play a song.
"FEEEEEEEE!"
She was still learning. Milo blew into the flute and made the same noise.
"FEEEEEEEE!"
Milo kept trying until her red cheeks turned purple. She flew back gasping for air.
"Milo can't do it!" She cried. Tears began running Milo's cheeks. She threw her flute across the room, it landed and rolled, to her master feet.
Kratos pick up the flute. "Don't throw your things,"
Milo went "EEP!" She scrambles across the floor and bowed. "Milo sorry Lord Kratos!"
Kratos looked at the flute in his hand, and then at Milo. "Watch." He order.
Milo looked up at her Master. Kratos brought the flute up his mouth, lightly blew into it, and play a few notes.
Milo watched in amazement. She couldn't believe that Lord Kratos was playing the flute.
Kratos stopped playing. He wipes off the mouthpiece and handed the flute back to Milo.
"Now hold it like this," Kratos adjusted Milo's hands to hold the instrument.
"Now slowly blow into it," Kratos said.
Milo nodded and followed his instructions. Instead of the ear-bleeding noise, a pleasant musical note was heard.
Milo let out a happy gasp and began jumping with joy. "Milo did it!"
Kratos nodded, "Yes, keep practicing."
Milo did as she was told and kept practicing under Kratos's guidance. He taught her a few songs to play. Milo's favorite song to play was The Little Bunny.
One afternoon, Kratos was sitting against a tree reading his worshippers prayer. Milo began playing her flute.
Kratos sat and listen, he was watching the clouds pass by. His eyes slowly closed.
When he opened his eyes again it was evening. Kratos found Milo curled up in his lap peacefully asleep.
He carefully picks her up and took her home.
A few months later.
"Lord Kratos! Lord Kratos wait!"
Kratos was about to leave his temple when Milo began calling out to him. He had an important meeting with Athena.
Two kingdoms were on the verge of a long, bloody war. He and Athena we're about to decide on it.
Milo ran up with a happy look.
"Yes, Milo?" Kratos said.
"Milo made Lord Kratos a gift." Milo beamed. She pulled out a piece of paper. " Milo made Lord Kratos a pretty picture!"
Kratos took it and look, it was crude like any child drawing. It was a man with a round head and a square body with stick limbs. It also a red spiral tattoo.
"Guest who it is? Milo said excitedly.
"Me."
"Yay!" Milo cheered, "Does Lord Kratos like the pretty picture?"
Kratos was for his ruthlessness and bloodlust. He just as fear as Hades himself.
But he did have a heart.
"Yes, I like it a lot." He folded the picture and tucked it into his pocket.
"Yay! Milo so happy!" Milo was jumping with joy.
"Milo, I will be in a meeting with Athena, if you need me, call out," Kratos said.
Milo nodded, "Yes Lord Kratos."
Then he was gone. Milo already missed him. But there was time be moping around, laundry had to be done.
On Mount Olympus, there was a river where the servant washed the laundry of the Gods, the River of Cleanness.
Milo pulled her cart behind and got every ready. Lord Kratos usually accompany her, usually since she is washed away by the river.
Waiting for the laundry to dry, Milo pulls some paper and began drawing.
"Isn't Lord Apollo wonderful?" A nymph near gushed.
"He the absolute best!"
"He so handsome!"
"and charming!"
The servants of Apollo continue to chatter about their Lord.
Milo ignores them, they were wrong too, Lord Kratos was the absolute best God.
"He's perfect, unlike that brute Kratos,"
That caught Milo's attention.
"I know right, how does a monster like him have the right to be called a god?
"He so rude and ugly!"
"He nothing compared to our perfect lord."
Milo had enough and ran to the group.
"Your wrong!"
The nymphs of Apollo began looking around, looking down they saw an angry Red Nymph.
"Can we help you with something?" One of them asked.
"Take back what you about Lord Kratos!" Milo demanded.
The nymphs look back each and then back at Milo.
"Why should we?"
"It all true,"
"Kratos is brute and that's that."
Milo was fuming now. "No! Lord Kratos is smart and nice and, and, and he treats Milo good!"
"Who's Milo?"
"Milo is Milo!" She screeched and pointed to herself.
"Oh, you the defective nymph Sister Willow talks about, make senses that Kratos get a defaulted thing like you,"
"No! Milo is not defective, Milo is a good servant!"
The nymphs began to laugh.
"She can't even talk right!"
"Look how angry she is!"
"This runt too funny!'
Milo was about to explode.
"Stop talking bad about Lord Kratos or else!" Milo gave her last warning.
One of the nymphs leans forward with a smug look. "Or else what?" She dared.
Milo throws herself and tackles the nymph to the ground and began hitting.
"Take it back! Take it back! Take it back!" Milo screamed.
"AAAHHH! Get her off me!" The nymph cried.
One of them tries to pull Milo off only to be bitten in the forearm.
"AAH! You little bitch!"
They finally pulled Milo off their sister and tossed her aside. While checking on their beaten sister Milo quickly made a run for it.
"Get her!"
Milo didn't make it far. One of them held Milo up by her hair.
"What should we do with her?"
"Put her in a sack and toss her in the river." The one who suggested this was the one attacked.
"Yeah! Drown her like a dumb puppy!" The one Milo bit said.
Milo began to squirm, "No! Milo can't swim!"
The nymphs grab an empty bag and began to stuff Milo in it.
"No! Help! Lord Kratos!"
Immediately a flash of red appear and the nymphs of Apollo felt pure rage radiate toward them. Turning around they saw the God of War himself. The grass around his feet burned.
The servants of Apollo froze overwhelmed the Kratos aura. Milo, freed, ran up and hug Kratos leg.
"Lord Kratos!" Milo cried.
Kratos knelt and pick up Milo. Milo wrapped her tiny arms around Kratos neck.
"What happened?" Kratos asked his servant.
"Milo heard them talk bad about you. Milo wanted to defend Lord Kratos's honor and they were gonna drown Milo!"
"Is that right?" Kratos gazed went the nymphs. The servants of Apollo cowered.
"How should I punish them?"
Two of the nymph fainted.
Milo wipes her nose and looks at Kratos.
"Make them do the rest of the laundry and Milo's chores."
One of the braver, or dumber, nymph protested.
"Wait! But we are servants of the Great Lord Apollo! We can't do chores for another god!"
Kratos summon a sword, "Then I will kill you all then instead."
Then another nymph fainted. Defeated the servants of Apollo agreed.
First Lord Kratos laundry, the bloodstains took hours to get rid of.
Then the rest of Milo's chores. For the rest day, the nymphs were worked to the bone.
To reward Milo for defending his honor Kratos played ball with Milo.
Kratos would throw the ball, Milo would run after it and bring it back, then Kratos would throw it again.
They play for hours. Kratos them order the nymphs to cook for Milo and himself.
Kratos had several pounds of beef, and Milo had her favorite, butter beard with jam.
Then Kratos order them to draw a bath.
"Yay bath time!" Milo cheered. Kratos has to supervise Milo in the bath. He had a giant pool and Milo sank like a rock.
Kratos relaxed in the hot water while Milo plays with the toy boat Kratos gave her.
The nymphs servant of Apollo we're exhausted, Kratos satisfied released them.
Milo was tired too, after a day being nearly drowned, playing, dinner, and a nice hot bath she was sleepy.
Kratos put Milo bed. He crafted her a small bed for her to sleep in.
Kratos himself went to bed.
Later that night Milo got up. "Thirty,"
After getting a drink of water Milo went back to bed. But not her bed.
Taking a left down the hall Milo went into Kratos room. She curled up right next to him and went back to sleep.
Kratos put his arm around her and held her close.
The Next Morning.
"Kratos! Get out here you bastard!"
Kratos opens his eyes, judging by the light it was still early. Milo woke up too and rubbed her sleepy eyes.
"Milo will make breakfast now," she said half asleep. She hopped out of bed and walk a few feet and fell asleep on the floor. Kratos put her back in bed and tucked her back in.
Kratos teleport himself to the main entrance. He could feel Apollo's presence on the other side.
"Apollo," Kratos greeted opening the door.
"You bastard!" Apollo snarled, "Who the hell do you think are! Forcing my servant to clean your temple! Outrages!"
"Your servants try to drown mine."
"Balderdash! They were having a private conversation when your servant viciously attacks them," Apollo said, "And then you enslaved and work then to near death!"
"I was punishing then for trying to drown my servant," Kratos explained.
"Nonsense, my nymphs are the most gentle and loving servant on all of Olympus, and because of you my laundry overdue! I demand compensation!" Apollo yelled dramatically.
Kratos knew he wasn't gonna get through Apollo, he was a narcissus and thought too highly of himself. He was gonna get himself killed one day because of his pride.
"I have a better idea Apollo," Kratos said. "You can go fuck yourself."
Kratos slammed his door. Apollo began banging on the door.
"You son of a bitch! You'll regret this you hear me!"
Kratos ignored Apollo and went back to his bedroom.
"Lord Kratos, what going on?" Milo asked still half asleep.
"Nothing, go back to sleep," Kratos said getting back in bed
Later that day.
Kratos was analyzing a growing conflict in the east, Milo was playing her flute.
"You can stop hiding Hermes," Kratos said. Milo stop playing and watched as the Messenger God appeared out of thin air.
"Damn and I thought Artemis senses were sharp," Hermes said.
"What do you want?" Kratos eyes glowed and the conflict was delayed.
Hermes reached in his satchel, pull out a scroll and read it, "The Olympian council herby summon Kratos, God of War, to address the complaints of Apollo, God of the Sun.
Attendance is mandatory."
"Hmmm, I will be there, now leave."
Hermes disappeared.
"Is Lord Kratos in trouble?" Milo asked,
"Yes,"
"Is it Milo's fault?"
"No,"
Kratos eyes glow again, a man suddenly blew up in a cloud of red mist, he was a soldier who ran away from the battle.
Later.
Kratos listen to Apollo's complaints and in front of the other Gods, Kratos told him to go fuck himself.
Apollo servants were summoned to tell their side of the story. Then Kratos was told to summon Milo.
The Gods were fantastic at the sight of a solid red nymph. Apollo was in awe at the sight of her. So cute and tiny with big innocent eyes and long red hair.
So was so cute that Apollo just wanted to hold her and hug her tight.
He had to have her.
Milo seeing all the Gods for the first time was overwhelming and she began to cry.
Kratos, who was thirty feet tall at the time like the rest of Gods, scoop up Milo in his giant hand.
"I'm here." Kratos and Milo began to calm down. The red nymph told her side of the story. She even admits to attacking first.
"Milo has to defend Lord Kratos honor!" She squeaks out.
Zeus nodded, "I agreed that a servant must defend their master honor, but Kratos you did take Apollo servants without his permission is a violation of our laws, Apollo will receive compensation."
Apollo had a big smile, "Yes! And I want her!" He pointed to Milo.
Kratos send Milo back to his temple.
"No." Kratos rage grew. He was not going to let that creep anywhere near Milo.
"That is an order Kratos," Zeus said.
"No," Kratos growled. He knew he was in a bad position, But he wasn't going to lose Milo.
"Apollo I challenge you to one on one combat!" Kratos said.
Apollo raised an eye, "Really, your challenging me?"
"Yes, No weapons, hand to hand only, the winner chooses the spoil of war," Kratos said.
Apollo's smile was as smug as can be.
"I accept and I want that red nymph as my reward."
Kratos nodded.
"Kratos what do want if you win?" Zeus asked.
Kratos looked straight at Apollo, "His Lute,"
Apollo gasped out, "My Lute! No way!"
That lute was a gift from his beloved mother Leto.
"So be it," Zeus said.
"Wait what?" Apollo said.
"If Apollo wins he gets the nymph, if Kratos wins he gets the Lute."
Apollo growled, "Fine,"
'No matter,' Apollo thought, 'I gonna beat Kratos and get that Lil red cutie,"
Apollo was already thinking of all the little outfits he gonna have Milo wear.
Disgusted by Apollo, Kratos returned to his temple. Milo ran up to him.
"Lord Kratos!"
Kratos sighed and explain what was happening.
"No!" Milo cried, "Milo doesn't wanna go to Lord Apollo! Milo wants to stay with Lord Kratos!"
Kratos patted her head, "Everything will be fine,"
Later.
Olympus had an arena where the Gods competed with one another.
The Olympians sat in their VIP booths, Hermes was taking bets.
Athena sat calmly in her seat analysis the most likely possibilities.
"So who's going to win?" Artemis said. She summons a chair and sat next to her older half-sister.
"Do you not have faith in your brother?" Athena said.
Artemis leaned back in her chair, "Apollo is powerful, his head far up his ass, Kratos may be a brute, but he does have a sharp mind."
"Yes, yes he does," Athena said with sultry.
Artemis took notice of that. Since the day Artemis met Athena she admired her. With Hestia, the three made the Eternal Maiden, goddess who swore off Love and focuses on their roles as Goddesses.
But since the day Kratos became the new God of War, Athena began acting differently. Around Kratos she was odd, she was always smiling, but around the Gods, she was stoic yet friendly.
Athena also began wearing more makeup and jewelry. Artemis fear that Athena had feelings for Kratos.
"You didn't answer me Sister, who going to win?" Artemis said, she did knew what Athena was going to say.
"Kratos, Apollo will put up a pretty good fight but ultimately Kratos will win," Athena said.
Artemis began rocking back in her chair, "So your saying Apollo doesn't have a chance at winning?"
"No, he doesn't," Athena said with a slight sharpness.
If Apollo put aside his ego he was a formidable foe. Athena was greatly aware of Apollo's power.
In the center of the arena, Hermes appeared, as the Gods of Athletics, he would be the referee.
"Hello, Olympus! are you ready?" Hermes shouted in a horn.
The arena crowded let a cheer, minor Gods, immortal humans, and other residents of Godly have to gather to see this fight.
"From the east side, God of Sun, among other things, Olympus Golden Boy, APOLLO!"
Apollo came out from the east entrance and the crowd cheered. He only wearing an athletic loincloth, boxing wrappings, and sandals. Apollo love showing off his body. His flawless perfect bronze skin-toned, lean muscles and he made sure to adjust his loincloth to show off the right amount of his bulge.
"I love you, Apollo!"
"You're the best!"
"Kick the Sparta ass!"
Apollo blew kisses to his adoring fans.
"Hello, my beloved fans!"
Artemis rolled her eyes at her twin showing off.
At the west entrance, Kratos waited for him to be announced.
"Lord Kratos," he looks at Milo, she had a very worried look on her face, "Yes Milo?"
"Be safe,"
"Do you doubt me?"
"No, but Milo doesn't want to see Lord Kratos get hurt," Milo's eyes became teary,
Kratos patted her head, "I gonna be fine."
"And in the West Side!"
Kratos began walking toward the entrance, "I need to go,"
Hermes continued his announcement, "He is the Ghost of Sparta! the man who became a God! Ladies and Gentleman, I give you, Kratos The God of War!"
Kratos steps out, wearing a red loincloth, boxing wrappings, and sandals.
But unlike Apollo Kratos's body was the opposite, ghostly white skin with his red spiral tattoo, overwhelming muscle mass, and bald head, and black goatee.
No cheer or booed the Spartan, completely silent, everyone could hear Kratos footsteps as he made his way to the center of the arena.
"Lord Kratos!" Kratos at back at the West Entrance, Milo was standing at the entrance with a determined look.
"You can do it!" Milo shouted and pump her little fist in the air.
Kratos nodded and continued, standing before Apollo, Kratos was a head taller than Apollo.
Apollo still had a smug look on his face,
"Kratos, I'm going to give you one chance and emitted defeat right and I won't humiliate you in front of everybody."
Kratos turns to Hermes, "I ready,"
Hermes nodded, "Alright Gentlemen, As the God of Sports and Athletics I will be the referee and judge of this fight."
"Winner will be decided by the number of points earned, or knock out."
"No hitting below the belt, no kicking, no groin strikes, if your opponent is down you stop. Do you both understand?"
"Yep," Apollo said. Kratos nodded.
"Fight!" Hermes yelled and jump back.
Kratos and Apollo took their stances ready but neither threw a hit, they were both waiting for the right moment.
"You should've backed out Kratos, now everyone will see how inferior you are," Apollo said. Kratos didn't respond.
"My speed is light, my movement as graceful as the concept of music itself, my power as intense as the burning sun!"
Kratos still didn't respond.
"My brilliant and beauty unrivaled, and now you will my see my might! Now face my wrath!"
Apollo threw his first strike a right jab straight toward Kratos chins.
"DIE!" Apollo yelled.
Kratos moves his head out of the way, Apollo first didn't even gaze at him.
"You talk too much."
Kratos threw a right cross hook at Apollo's jaw making full contact.
BAM!
Apollo fell to his knees and his face made contact with the ground. Apollo was down.
The crowd was still cheering before they realized what happened. One moment Apollo was standing the next he was down.
Hermes was the closest and he didn't believe it.
"Call it," Kratos said.
Hermes look at Apollo and knew he wasn't getting back up.
"The winner is Kratos the God of War!"
Nobody cheered, nobody booed, they were all too shunned by what happened.
"Apollo!" Artemis teleported to her unconscious brother.
Athena couldn't believe it either. She knew Apollo wasn't going to win, but to be knocked out instantly was not in her calculations.
She watches Kratos leave.
'Kratos," Athena thought, "You're amazing!"
Kratos walked down the hall Milo came running towards him.
"Lord Kratos! Lord Kratos!"
Milo leaped up and hugged him.
"Milo knew you would win!" She cried.
"Then why are you crying?" Kratos said.
"Because you didn't get hurt and Milo gets to stay with Lord Kratos! Milo is so happy!"
Kratos patted her head.
Later in the Throne room.
"Apollo, do it!" Zeus order.
Apollo grumbled and hand his lute to Kratos. Kratos examine the musical instrument. "This instrument beautiful,"
"Yes! It was a gift from my mother! You better take care of it!" Apollo sneered.
"I will," Kratos then proposed to smash the Lute over HIS knee.
"NOOO!" Apollo screamed. Kratos took the pieces and threw in Hestia hearth and watch them burn.
The Gods were alarmed by Kratos's actions. He knew that Lute was precious to Apollo and destroying it was nothing more than an act of cruelty.
Kratos turn and look at the rest, "Anyone else wishes to challenge me?"
Apollo was on his hands and knees sobbing, Artemis was comforting him and starting dagger at Kratos.
Hermes decided to never steal from Kratos.
Hestia was upset that Kratos used her hearth to destroy the Lute.
Hephaestus shook his head in disapproval, to see him break that perfect created instrument hurts him as well.
Aphrodite was uncomfortable with Kratos action, it was an act of hatred.
Athena signed, this would over divide Kratos from the rest of the Gods.
Kratos didn't and went to his temple.
Some Months Later.
With the exemption of Athena, The Gods were fully alienating Kratos.
They avoid him at all cost, if they need something from him they would go through Athena.
Kratos didn't care, he knew they didn't trust him. The reason they were so outraged by his action because he was born a mortal.
The Olympians have killed each other lovers and children, vandalized each other's territories, and found ways to humiliate each other.
But when Kratos defeats Apollo and destroys the lute that he wins, and the Gods are outrage by his behavior.
When the outcast acted out somehow double-stranded were applied.
Kratos knew his position, he did anything and they took offense.
Kratos used to worship these beings like any other mortals. But after becoming one of them, living with them, and working with them.
Kratos saw who the Olympians were.
Soon Kratos would grow to hate them.
"Milo!" Kratos called out. The red nymph came scampering up to him.
"Yes, Lord Kratos?"
"Athena and I will be observing a war go north and will be gone for a few hours, will you need anything before I leave?"
Milo hooked her head, "No Lord Kratos Milo is fine,"
Kratos nodded, "Call out if you need anything,"
Milo bowed and Kratos vanished.
Milo missed him, and he hasn't even be gone one minute. And he was spending with Lady Athena. Milo thought Lady Athena was very nice, unlike that Goddess who had the big boobies who said weird things to Lord Kratos.
It has been a few months since Lord Kratos defeated Lord Apollo. Since then when Milo went to wash laundry or buy groceries all the other servants would avoid her.
Even Big Sister Willow would avoid her. But Milo didn't care all she need was Lord Kratos.
Today Milo was going to get Lord Kratos some yummy apples to eat.
Milo went to the Gardens of Olympus.
"Five drachmas please," The attendant said.
Milo reached into her little purse and hand the money over. Milo choose a basket and went looking for the apples.
After searching for ten minutes Milo found the apples. She found a ladder and began picking.
"Almost," Milo was reaching for one slightly out of grasp. She just needed one more.
"Here let me," a voice said and pick the apple. Milo turned, "Thank you, Lord... Apollo,"
Apollo stood with a warm smile holding the Apple.
"You're welcome," Apollo handed her the apple. "Picking apples for Kratos, aren't you sweet,"
Milo nodded, "Yes Milo want to give Lord Kratos a yummy snack,"
"That's so kind, Kratos is so lucky to have you," Apollo said.
Milo smiled, "No, Milo the lucky one,"
Apollo raised an eyebrow, "Oh? Why is that?"
"Milo was not a good servant, made many mistakes, Lord Kratos never mad or scolded Milo, instead taught Milo to be better!" Milo said.
Apollo's smile didn't, "But isn't working by yourself too much work?"
"No, Lord Kratos helps Milo all the time, does the chores Milo can't do,"
"Well, do you get lonely, I mean when leaves and there isn't anyone to talk to? Milo do you know why Kratos didn't have any servant before you?"
Milo blinked, "There were no servants before Milo?"
"Yes, no one wanted to work under Kratos, everyone is scared of him."
"Why?"
Apollo's smile grew a little bigger, "Milo, do you know what kind of God Kratos is?"
Milo shook her head.
"Kratos is the God of War, War is when people fight and kill each other,"
Milo's eyes widen. Lord Kratos makes people kill each other.
"Milo, Kratos also has killed a God too, he killed the God of War and took his position, Kratos was born a mortal,"
Milo couldn't believe what she was hearing. Kratos was born a mortal? Did he kill a God?
"Kratos make people hurt each other, kill each other, he is a bad God,"
"No..." Milo squeaked out.
"Milo, why don't you come with me? Be my servant, you can be friends with the rest of servants and never be alone, and I'm a good God, I'm the God the Sun, medicine, music, poetry, and truth. I help people, Kratos only hurt people, come with me and I promise that everything will be better."
Milo didn't say anything, trying to process everything Lord Apollo told her. Lord Kratos never took her to work with him, when he left he would always say he was going to meet. But the Kratos she knew.
Then Milo found her answer, first Milo bowed. "No thank you, Lord Apollo,"
"Alright then, go get you- wait? WHAT!"
"Milo doesn't want to leave Lord Kratos, Milo loves him too much," Milo said.
"But! But! He a bad God!" Apollo said.
"No, he's not Lord Apollo, Lord Kratos is a good God, and Milo wants to stay with him forever and ever."
Apollo was in disbelief, she was rejecting his wonderful offer for Kratos!?
"Milo needs to go now, it was nice talking to you, Lord Apollo." Milo stops bowing and walks off.
He lost to a Kratos again, first the festival, then the fight, and the nymph! What was going on? He was Apollo! He was Great! He was awesome! He was Perfect! And Kratos keeps taking what is rightfully his!
He hates Kratos so much! He hates him! He hates him! He hates him! He hates him! He hates him! He hates him! He hates him!
He hates him so much!
He hated Kratos more than he hated Orion! He hates Kratos more than he hated Python!
Apollo couldn't stand it!
Milo was about a hundred feet from Apollo, the Sun God summons his bow and arrow.
The last thought in Milo's head was how happy Lord Kratos would when she give them these yummy apples.
Line Break.
Kratos flashed back to his temple, he was expecting Milo to greet him like she always does, but she wasn't there.
"Milo," Kratos called out. Nothing, no sound of her feet pitter-pattering towards him.
"Milo!" Kratos called out again, where was that silly little nymph?
Kratos could not sense her within his temple, he expanded his senses across Olympus, but Kratos couldn't sense her anywhere.
Maybe she was together with her plant.
Kratos went to where see kept and stop when he saw it. It was wilted, the soil was dryer up and the pot was cracked.
No.
Kratos flashed himself to the front of his temple door. When he got outside he Willow waiting for him.
"Lord Kratos, I have terrible news,"
Later.
Apollo was banished to his temple for killing Kratos only servant. Zeus was figuring out a proper punishment for him.
Kratos was in his temple too, he was sitting at his dinner table looking at Milo's things; her spare clothes, her flute, her toys, the pictures she drew, and the little broom made for her.
Kratos' mind was blank, he was replaying his memory of Milo.
"Lord Kratos!"
"Milo make Lord Kratos a picture!"
"Milo wants to go with you!"
"Milo loves you, Lord Kratos!"
She is gone. She's gone and he wasn't going to see her anymore.
Kratos took one last at Milo's thing and then he threw it all into his fire and watch it burn.
"I'm sorry Milo, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." Kratos sighed.
He was a God now, a member of their council, and yet he could not protect one nymph.
And what will be Apollo's punishment? Hand over a few servants, and give Kratos another one of his prized instruments? Make them shakes hands and let bygone be bygone?
No!
Apollo needs a proper punishment! He will know what true pain is!
The Sun God will suffer.
Part One End.
