Later that day Fox, Bly and their father all cornered Wolffe in his room where he was hiding from their younger brothers. Fox sat down on Wolffe's bed and spoke first, "You love Lyni, don't you?"
"No I don't," Wolffe protested too quickly.
"Please Wolffe," Fox rolled his eyes, "Your as bad as Bly when he met Aalya."
"And what about you when you met Riyo?" their brother shot back. It was common knowledge their stoic brother had fallen head over heels in love with that small woman.
Their dad broke into brewing argument, "Wolffe, why do you always say you don't Love Lyni?" When it seemed like his third oldest son wouldn't answer, "I could ask Shaak Ti to talk to you about it."
She was enough to get any of them to cooperate. It was hard to hear Wolffe mutter, "Lyni deserves someone better than me. Someone less scarred and broken…."
Jango put his hand on Wolffe's shoulder, "All of us have scars." Thinking of something, "Why is she in that wheelchair in the first place?"
Looking up at them with challenge in his eyes wolffe answered, "before They escaped from a cult, one of the members cut Lyni's spine so she wouldn't be able to run. They knew her brothers would never leave her, so they used her as bait in a trap." WHen the others stared at him, "We discussed it as part of her poem in one of the make up meetings with Professor Kenobi."
Jango patted Wolffe's shoulder, "Well, it sounds like she is pretty broken too. And sometimes two broken people are able to heal when they work together." Bly and Fox silently blessed their father for saying something so profound as Jango raised a hand to prevent Wolffe's protest, "Give Lyni a chance to decide too."
Together
Sun breaks though
Clouds, fills us.
Let the day
Go on and on.
Take my hand,
And we'll go.
