Bird's nest soup should really be called bird spit soup, because the swiftlet nests that are used are formed from solidified saliva.

Chinese medicine cusine is its own monster, regardless of how those herbs look, and they're clearly effective (albeit slower and milder than western) in their own ways x)

This Lui shi and the mother in law shouldn't put all their eggs in the basketyou don't know what will happen.
As long as Ruan San niang still has use the emperor will continue to "favor" her. But once her usefulness is over then that's where her real life will begin.
