Rubbing the back of his neck nervously Wolffe waited for his dad to finish talking to Grampa Jaster about the plans for getting everyone to the wedding. It was hard not to grab the phone and put Grampa on hold, but that would be horrible manners. Finally Jango said goodbye to his father and turned towards his son, "Yes Wolffe."
Swallowing, "Dad, I wanted to ask you…"
After a few moments of silence, "Ask me what?"
Looking around for the termites, "I asked Savage Oppress if I could stay at their house until my cousins leave," Jango's eyebrows went up as he continued, "he said that I could if it was alright with my elder." Both knew the Cult had referred to older men as Elders.
Nodding his dad finished, "And so you came to ask your old man for permission on going AWOL for a bit?"
Wolffe shook his head, "I'm asking for a temporary change in base camp." His shoulders came closer around his ears, "Just until the masses are gone dad."
Jango nodded, so many of the family are loud in their desire or inability to help Wolffe. Which was something that his third son was not happy with as he tried to put his life back together. It may be good to let him have a place to go to when the family was loud about their concern for him.
Placing a hand on Wolffe's shoulder Jango nodded, "Alright." Then added, "I hope that you'll keep in contact with us."
A smile broke out on Wolffe's scarred face, "Of course dad." With that settled he started to talk a bit about how Grandpa Jaster had gotten both Lyni and Himself into the Springhawk exhibit.
Watching his son Jango smiled to himself as he heard the story for the first time. Finding that Lyni was able to help Wolffe better than he could was bittersweet. Still Jango knew that there were things that he couldn't do for his boys, and was glad that they had friends to aid them.

An ember
Keeps me
Warm in
The dark.
It is a
Small
Light,
Bright.
It is all
That I
Need to
Keep the
Darkness
Away.
