Cleo and Rikki go for a swim to distract themselves from the fact that another person they care about
has been taken by Ulmo. Lewis calls the retirement village to make sure that all of Miss Chatham's affairs are taken care of. When that is done Lewis goes fishing, and wonders how long it will take before Cleo will be taken by Ulmo. Lewis hopes that when that day comes Cleo will take him with her, because he doesn't even want to think of facing a world without Cleo in it.
Zane is in the process of teaching that upstart Will a lesson for trying to steal his girlfriend when the water snatches him up, and deposits him in the moonpool. Zane looks up, and sees that it is night time with the full moon directly over head. Zane could've sworn that it was the middle of the day just a moment ago, and then Zane looks down at the moonpool. Zane sees that it is reacting to the moonlight flooding into the volcano. Zane looks up at the moon, and is only able to look away once the moon has passed over. When Zane looks at the now calm water of the moon pool he realizes what has very likely happened to him. He gets out of the pool, and collapses on the soft sand in exhaustion. Back at the diving demonstration Cleo hears a voice coming out of the water that is similar to Ulmo, but different at the same time saying.
Cleo daughter of the sea you must go to Mako to bare witness to what my master is doing so that you may tell his loved one what has happened.

Cleo power swims to the underwater entrance to the moonpool, but stops when she sees Zane swim out as a Child of the Sea. While Cleo is trying to process what has happened she hears Ulmo say.
Zane son of the sea I am Ulmo, and I am here to offer you a chance to come to Arda, and live in my ocean escaping the wicked temptress trying to steal your heart away from your soul-mate.
Zane thinks about everything that has happened, and what Ulmo just said. He realizes what has been happening right under his nose, and says.
Ulmo I accept your offer to escape this trap.
Very well I shall move you to my ocean while you swim and enjoy the beauty of the sea.
Cleo watches as Zane starts swimming around, and then disappears in bright flash of light.
On Arda Zane sees that he is swimming outside of a sunken city. Zane swims into the city to see if there is anyone living there. Once in the city Zane sees Emma, Ash, and even that old bitty Miss Chatham. Zane spends some time wandering around the city when Emma swims up to him, and says.
Zane What are you doing here? - Emma
Ulmo brought me here; How else would I get here. - Zane
Fine. Ulmo must have his reasons for bringing you here. Lets go find you a house to live in, and then you can explore the city to your hearts content. - Emma
Lead the way. - Zane
Emma begins swimming toward the residential part of the city. When they get there Zane looks at the houses to choose from, and picks the one closest to Emma's, but farthest away from Miss Chatham. Before Emma leaves Zane to settle into his new home she turns around, and says.
Oh and Zane make sure that you are at power training tomorrow morning or life here is going to be very difficult for you. - Emma
No problem. - Zane
Emma leaves Zane to acquaint himself with his home, and everything in it.
Back on Earth Cleo knows that she was only supposed to tell Rikki about Zane, but she figures that she should tell Zane's Dad something about why Zane's gone. Cleo arrives at Harrison Bennett's house, rings the doorbell, and when Dr. Bennett opens the door she says.
"Dr. Bennett I have some news about Zane, and you might want to sit down." Cleo
Dr. Bennett nods, moves aside, and says.
"Come in." Harrison
Cleo and Harrison walk into the living room, sit down, and Harrison says.
"What kind of trouble has my son gotten himself into this time?" Harrison
"Dr. Bennett Zane was participating in a diving competition when there was an accident. Zane is gone, and he's not coming back." Cleo
"What do you mean Zane is gone? We have to find him. He can't be..." Harrison
"I'm sorry." Cleo
"No this can't be happening. He had his whole life ahead of him, and more importantly I loved him even though I wasn't always that good at showing it." Harrison
Harrison Bennett collects himself as much as he can, and says.
"Thank you for coming over here and telling me in person. It would have been worse to hear about this over the phone. I'll call your Dad about the funeral." Harrison
Cleo nods, and leaves before she has a chance to start crying about how devastated Dr. Bennett looks about the loss of his son.
As soon as Cleo's collected herself she texts Rikki telling her to meet her at the usual place. Cleo swims to Mako mentally going over what she is going to tell Rikki when she gets there. Cleo sits in the pool waiting for her best friend to get here. Rikki arrives in the moonpool, and says.
"Ok I'm here so what did you want to talk about?" Rikki
"Rikki it's about Zane." Cleo
"What about him?" Rikki
"He was turned, and taken by Ulmo." Cleo
"What? Turned like on purpose?" Rikki
"Yes." Cleo
"By Ulmo?" Rikki
"Yes." Cleo
Tears start rolling down Rikki's face, and she says.
"What are we going to tell his Dad?" Rikki
"I already took care of it." Cleo
"What did you tell him?" Rikki
"I told him that there was an accident during the diving competition, and that Zane is gone, and he's never coming back." Cleo
"You told Zane's Dad that Zane is dead?" Rikki
"Well no he assumed, and I didn't correct him." Cleo
Rikki takes in a shaky breath, and says.
"What did Ulmo say when he took Zane?" Rikki
"He said 'Zane son of the sea I am Ulmo, and I am here to offer you a chance to come to Arda, and live in my ocean escaping the wicked temptress trying to steal your heart away from your soul-mate.' Why?" Cleo
Rikki thinks over everything including what Cleo just told her, and realizes that Sophie is to blame for Zane being gone. Rikki swims out of the moonpool with a mind to do something about it.
Rikki walks up to the Bennett house just as Harrison Bennett is walking out of the house talking on the phone about Zane's death, and says.
"I know who is responsible for the accident." Rikki
"What?" Harrison
"Cleo told me about Zane, and I figured out who's responsible for putting him in that situation in the first place." Rikki
"Who did this to my son?" Harrison
"Sophie she's an assistant at the café." Rikki
"Why would this Sophie want to get rid of my son if she has a job?" Harrison
"She wanted to own the café instead of just being an assistant, and Zane was in the way." Rikki
"We'll see about that. I've got some calls to make, but after we've dealt with Sophie I want you to tell me everything you know about the accident." Harrison
"Of course I love Zane as much as you do so I have no problem telling you what I know." Rikki
Harrison Bennett ends his current phone call, and makes a new one making sure that the café reverts to him now that his son is dead.
Rikki walks into the café with Harrison Bennett following behind her. Sophie sees her, and says.
"You need to leave. You'll get no service in my café." Sophie
"It's not your café. The café goes to me upon the death of Zane." Harrison
"I don't know who you are, but I'm next in line to get the café now that Zane is gone." Sophie
"Actually there is a clause in the purchasing contract that the café reverts to me if my son should either prove to be an incompetent manager or die." Harrison
"Why would you even put that in the contract?" Sophie
"To prevent this very situation from happening, but since it has I have to take care of it myself." Harrison
"And how are you going to do that? I'm still the manager here so it's not like it matters if you own the café or not." Sophie
"Yes it does because you're fired." Harrison
"What you can't fire me I'm a valuable employee!" Sophie
"I can and I am now get out of my café before I call the police." Harrison
Sophie takes off her apron, and walks out of the café. Once Harrison and Rikki are sure that Sophie is out of ear-shot Harrison turns to Rikki, and says.
"Rikki I would like you to be the new manager of my son's café. Make it a success for as long as you can." Harrison
"I'll do my best even though it won't be the same without Zane." Rikki
Harrison Bennett nods solemnly while Rikki writes down her cell number on a piece of paper, and says.
"Give me a call when you're ready to hear what I know about what happened to Zane. I may not know much, but I hope that a little bit helps you." Rikki
"Thanks Rikki every little bit does help." Harrison
With a nod Harrison walks out of the café, and Rikki gets to work managing the café.
After closing everyone meets up at the moonpool including Will and Bella. Rikki is the last person to arrive, and as soon as she sees Will she says.
"What is he doing here?!" Rikki
"Rikki calm down." Cleo
"Cleo's right Will has as much right to be here as you do." Bella
"No he doesn't. He's not one of us so he has no business being involved in something that doesn't concern him." Rikki
"Lewis isn't one of us, but he is included in our secret." Cleo
"Yes, but unlike him Lewis is actually trust worthy." Rikki
"Rikki Will has proven himself to be trust worthy after everything we have been through together." Bella
"Oh really? How do I know that he isn't going to decide that it would be better to get rid of me like His Sister did to Zane?" Rikki
Everyone gasps as soon as those words leave Rikki's mouth. Will leaves through the underwater entrance, and swims to where he beached his boat.
Later Cleo and Bella go to Will's boat house, and see him trying to study looking quite upset. Bella walks up to Will, puts her hand on his shoulder, and says.
"Will are you alright?" Bella
"No I was just thinking about Rikki, and what she said about Zane and Sophie." Will
"I'm sure it's not as bad as you are thinking. Sophie is a bully, but I don't think she would actually kill anyone." Bella
"But what if you're wrong, and the entire sponsorship and competition was just a scheme to get rid of Zane, and take over the café." Will
"What makes you say that?" Bella
"It's the only way Rikki's reaction makes sense, and we all know how much she loves that job." Will
"And taking charge of everything." Bella
"I agree that she is bossy, but are we sure that she is capable of something like this?" Cleo
"I love my sister, and I wish it wasn't true, but I think Rikki might be right about Sophie." Will
"Even if she is right about Sophie it still doesn't give her the right to treat you like that." Bella
"Rikki is angry and in a lot of pain. As far as she can see your involvement in the whole scheme makes you just as responsible as Sophie." Cleo
"Can't she see that Sophie used me to get what she wanted?" Will
"Not right now, but give her some time, and I'm sure she'll come around." Cleo
"I hope you're right Cleo." Will
Cleo leaves to go for a swim while Bella stays to help Will with his homework.
Bella is just coming back from getting some take away for her and Will when she hears Sophie tell Will that she is moving to Sydney, and that she hopes he will be happy with the life he has chosen. Will tells her that he will be, and Sophie passes Bella after exiting the boat house. Bella and Will have lunch, and then after they finish eating Bella gets a text from from Rikki asking to meet up. Bella is sad when it is specified that she come alone. Bella tells Will that she needs to meet the girls, and she'll catch him later. Will knows that it will take awhile for him to be welcomed back into the group after what his sister did, but Will is going to do what ever it takes to get his friends back. Bella arrives at the moonpool, and finds her friends waiting for her. All conversation stops, and Rikki even checks to make sure that she is alone. Bella eases herself into the conversation, and then tells the girls that she overheard Sophie telling Will that she is moving to Sydney. Rikki says that she is glad that Sophie is gone, and good riddance. The light hearted chatter resumes, and Cleo gets the feeling that the next person to be taken will be her. Cleo just hopes that Lewis will be here to take with her when the time comes for her to be taken by Ulmo.
Cleo, Rikki, and Bella are camping at Mako island hoping that Mako Island will be able to repel comet Eva like it did last time. The girls get to Mako just as the moon starts to pass over head, and Mako creates the water tentacle to repel the comet. The tentacle of energized water blasts the comet away causing it to pass harmlessly by the Earth. The girls rise to the surface of the moonpool after guiding the tentacle with their powers. The next morning the three girls go to their graduation ceremony, and all three of the girls graduate from high school. To everybody's surprise Lewis shows up at the end of the ceremony. They all go to the café to celebrate, and just as Bella is starting to sing Cleo begins to feel this irresistible pull toward the sea. Lewis can tell that something is wrong just by looking at Cleo's face. Lewis takes her hand, and says.
"Cleo what's wrong?" Lewis
"I have to go Lewis the sea is calling." Cleo
"Do you have to go right now?" Rikki
"Yes I do it's important." Cleo
"Cleo?" Lewis
"I'll catch ya later Lewis." Cleo
Before Lewis or Rikki can say another word Cleo runs out the door, and jumps off the dock into the water.
Cleo is swimming in the sea towards Mako when she hears Ulmo's voice coming out of the sea saying.
