Introduction

Ritsuka Fujimaru begins to prepare to ray shift to the first pseudo singularity of Epic of Remnant, with the Chaldean staff under Mashu and Da Vinci command beginning to set up the ray shifting.

However, a system error causes the ray shift platform that Ritsuka is standing on to become overloaded.

The Chaldean staff, together with Mashu and Da Vinci, got to work urgently to attempt to fix the issue before the platform became overloaded, unfortunately, their efforts were halted once the system locked them out due to the error interfering with the ray shift's security measures.

Just as Mashu and Da Vinci attempt everything they can to stop the platform from being overloaded.

The unimaginable occurs as blue lightning begins to erupt from the platform, preventing them from removing Ritsuka off the ray shift platform as Chaldean staff and them watch in terror as Ritsuka is ray shifted to an unknown destination.

With no idea where Ritsuka had gone. The Chaldean staff, along with Mashu and Da Vinci, began to work on repairing the systems of the ray shift in order to bring Ritsuka back from where he had gone, but what they didn't know is that he was transported to an entirely different universe.

Ritsuka began to ray shift across space and time to an unknown destination. He was unaware that he had entered a different reality, one that is currently facing a greater threat that threatens to destroy the varied fabric of its multiverse.

When the ray shifting was finished, he found himself in an underground military command center, however, what he did not expect to see was a group of four individuals dressed in World War II military outfits from various countries standing behind him.

Three of the individuals began to glance about in confusion, while the fourth figure, clad in World War II German military uniform, placed his palm over his face in a disappointed manner.

When the four individuals stopped what they were doing as they looked at Ritsuka with confusion, the German approached him and asked who he was and whether he worked here, to which Ritsuka replied that he was ray shifted to this location just like they were.

The German began to look at him with suspicion and curiosity until an idea struck him, and he began to express a friendly tone with him and introduce himself as Doctor Edward Richtofen and asked Ritsuka if he wanted to join him on his mission of saving the world from a great evil that exists on the moon, and possibly returning him home.

(What Ritsuka did not perceive through Richtofen's fake friendly tone was his disgusting thought of lying to him and simply using him as a tool for his grand scheme.)

While Ritsuka stared at Richtofen with distrust due to his sudden change of attitude, he was thinking to himself about what Richtofen stated regarding the potential of him being sent back to Chaldea with Richtofen's assistance.

While standing cautious around Richtofen, he decided to say that he would join them on their mission.

Richtofen became overcome with delight after hearing Ritsuka's answer to him accepting his invitation to join his team, and he welcomed Ritsuka to his team.

Richtofen then ordered everyone to search the military installation for anything valuable that could help them reach the moon.

While looking for important information that may take them to the moon, Ritsuka realized that the facility they had been brought into was the Pentagon, and what was even more shocking to him was that the month and year was November of 1963.

Unbeknownst to Ritsuka and Richtofen's team, another event is taking place within a Soviet rocket testing facility in Russia's southern region.

Doctor Yuri Zavoyski takes Dr. Gersch to the rocket research facility to show his progress over Project Mercury, which Dr. Gersch continued to tell him that he should not be working on the project, but on the rocket research.

However, once Yuri shows him the device that he created that could further Project Mercury's progress, Dr. Gersch proceeded to activate the device, which created a small purple-black hole that caused Dr. Gersch to be sucked into it, while Yuri watched on with satisfaction and horror to what he has done.

Yuri then began to hear Samantha calling out to him and telling him to step into his device, which he did and was absorbed into his device and transported from the Russian rocket research facility to the Pentagon in the United States.

After getting sent to the Pentagon, Yuri began to wander into the lower laboratory floors of the pentagon without getting the attention of Ritsuka and Richtofen's team.

Due to his insanity induced by Samantha's influence, Doctor Layman assisted Yuri, unaware of him, with the release of element 115 gas into the air filtration system of the pentagon's facilities.

Yuri was then able to locate the contaminated cell of the undead test subjects and release them, resulting in an undead outbreak at the Pentagon.

As Yuri was about to sneak his way to getting classified documents and information that the American scientists had over their element 115 experiments.

He was then stopped by Samantha and was ordered to attack another group of important individuals that Samantha deemed a threat to her plans and opens a portal for Yuri to walk into, which he obeys.

Once Samantha had dispatched Yuri to attack another group of important individuals. She began her assault against Richtofen's team in order to prevent them from reaching the moon.

However, she began to notice the new arrival that is with Richtofen's team. But does not find interest in this new arrival and concludes that the new arrival is helping Richtofen with his grand scheme and marks him as a threat.

Ritsuka and Richtofen's team begin to notice the undead outbreak throughout the pentagon and quickly gather weapons to use against the undead hordes under Samantha's control.

While this was going on, Robert McNamara within an office room was preparing documentation and information for the meeting being held at the pentagon over the possible cooperation against the undead with Fidel Castro, John F Kennedy, and Richard Nixon.

Unaware of him, Ritsuka and Richtofen's team are running and firing through the Pentagon's office corridors while being pursued by undead hordes as they try to find a route out of the undead-infested military installation that is the Pentagon.

However, due to Richtofen's lack of knowledge over the floor planning of the pentagon. They got stuck into a corner when the door that Richtofen said was an exit turned out to be locked.

Once they turned around they began to hear the sounds of the undead coming towards them.

As the undead hordes begin to swarm the hallways enclosing Ritsuka and Richtofen's team near the locked exit door.

They start to look at each other and realize what they need to do. As each of them prepared to fight for their lives against the hordes of the undead.

Even though Ritsuka had only just met Richtofen's team, he understood that his reason for being brought here was important, and he wanted to make sure that he lived to witness what happened, oblivious to the shocking events that could occur along the path.

They prepare for their last stand as the hordes of the undead begin to draw closer towards them.
