Beyond the worlds you know, beyond their perceptions. There exists a possibility, where an event or scenario could be altered or changed at a certain moment in time that could create an outcome that differs from many others. Where the consequences of this outcome could be very minimal or catastrophic for the beings that exist within the realities that this outcome occurs in.

This one possibility occurs within two universes separate from each other.

Where one universe faced a threat named Goetia taking the form of King Solomon who threatened to incinerate their history and their existence to create a new world devoid of the concept of death. However his plan failed to be completed as a master named Ritsuka Fujimaru defeated him with the support from the heroic spirits that he had met throughout his travels within the seven singularities, Dr. Roman who was actually the real King Solomon, and an individual who was by his side throughout that time named Mashu. But, what differs from other possibilities within this universe is that Ritsuka falls into a deep coma as he and Mashu return to Chaldea after the Solomon singularity collapses.

While in the other universe. A group of four individuals from different nations named Ultimis join forces as they face an enemy named Samantha, a little girl who has been given the ability to control the undead through her usage of the MPD that allows individuals within it to have a connection to the Aether. However unaware of the other three individuals within the team. The leader or fourth individual who goes by the name of Doctor Edward Richtofen. A German scientist whose mind has been corrupted by the Aether's influence began to plan out his grand scheme by collecting artifacts needed to usurp the power of the MPD away from Samantha's control. At the moment, Richtofen and the rest of Ultimis are located within the ruins of Shangri-La. Where Richtofen is processing to acquire the final artifact needed to accomplish his grand scheme.

These two universes yet separate from each other would have a connection formed through this one possibility at a very specific moment in time.

This is where our story begins….

Within The Comatose Mindscape Of Ritsuka Fujimaru

"What… Happened…?" Ritsuka said in slight confusion as he tried to get up, however what Ritsuka begins to notice is that once he got up and began to look around his surroundings he became surprised.

"What is this?" Ritsuka said as he looked around his surroundings only to find more darkness surrounding him.

However, Ritsuka could not process what was happening to him as a bright light flash across the endless darkness of where he was.

"Shit!" Ritsuka shouted as he attempted to cover his eyes before he could become blinded by the light.

After a few minutes had passed, Ritsuka felt that light had quickly faded away. He began to open his eyes and looked around his surroundings of where he was, however this would make him become confused at what he was seeing.

'Where… am I?' Ritsuka thought to himself as he began to look around in front of him and began to notice that he was inside some kind of government facility surrounded with technology that looked like it came from the 60s.

As he began to look behind him. He came to a halt. As he began to look on with interest and curiosity on what he was seeing.

A large pyramid like structure composed of metal plating and wiring was in the center of the room that stood taller than the ceiling of the room he found himself in.

'What is this place?' Ritsuka questioned himself as he began to notice that there were containers full with an unknown source that looked blueish on his observation of its color vapor being released from the containers.

However, he started to look towards the steps that lead to a hatch entrance for the pyramid structure. Ritsuka attempted to move forward to walk up the steps towards the entrance, but he was blocked by an invisible force.

'So this place does not want me to walk up these steps towards that hatch?' Ritsuka told to himself as he thought over why this place would not allow me to walk up the steps to the hatch entrance until he began to hear a female robotic voice come through the intercom.

[APD Activation Protocol Initiating…]

'Wait that's the name for this?' Ritsuka questioned himself as he began to hear loud unhinging of the hatch beginning to be released.

Slowly the hatch valve began to move on its own as the locking mechanism of the APD began to be released, while Ritsuka waited with interest over what would come out of the APD.

However, his waiting would come to a quick end as the hatch of the APD began to be opened with vapor coming out from all sides of the hatch, and with a quick motion, the hatch popped out forwards from its locking and began to be railed to the right side of the APD.

'Alright, let's see what is inside this "APD".'

However, when the opening to the APD was revealed, Ritsuka would become quite confused on what he was seeing.

What Ritsuka saw within the APD was the similar bluish unknown compound that he observed from the containers, however he began to observe that the unknown compound was some sort of liquid that moved in slow motion in a sideways direction.

'So that is what is inside this thing, but why am I being shown this?' Ritsuka thought to himself in confusion.

Ritsuka would continue to observe what was inside the APD until he would become startled when suddenly a pair of electric arms began to appear and hold on to sides of the opening of the APD which made him fall to the floor.

"What the hell?" Ritsuka said in a stunned tone as he watched the electric arms begin to do a motion of pulling itself out of the opening of the APD. This effort allowed the unknown being to free itself from the APD as the being floated above the platform where the entrance was.

Ritsuka began to see that the unknown being that resided within the APD was one of pure electricity where its entire body was covered in electric patterns that resembled that of the nervous system of the human body with the head being only the brain and eyes of what was a human.

"You will not stop my ascension."

Ritsuka heard the electrical being said in an electric tone towards him as it began to fly towards him with incredible speed until what he was seeing began to fade away before the entity could cause him any harm. He was then once again surrounded by darkness.

'What's happening to me?' Ritsuka thought to himself until he began to feel the flooring of darkness that he was standing on begin to fall apart.

"You gotta be kidding meeeeeee!" Ritsuka shouted as he began to plummet down deeper into the void of darkness.

As Ritsuka continues to fall into the void of darkness he begins to hear voices echo across the void that he could not recognize, while small gateways of places begin to be formed as he travels down the void.

"The cycle must be broken!"

As Ritsuka began to look in the direction of where he heard the voice. He began to see a small gateway of what looked like a man wearing an overcoat on top of a prison uniform with a grayish flat cap hat who was looking at a lighthouse that resembled a place that Ritsuka went during his time in the west coast of the North American Singularity.

'I know that place?' Ritsuka said to himself as he continued to fall deeper into the void until he began to hear another voice echo across the void.

"This madness must come to an end."

Ritsuka began to look where that other voice came from until he spotted another small gateway that showed a man wearing what looked like a world war 1 Russian military uniform and wearing a darkish light brown hat with goggles. Who was holding a spherical object covered in markings of different patterns, while standing next to an ancient looking artifact that glowed in bluish color covered in an unknown language.

However, Ritsuka began to notice that the individual had a saddened expression over his face over what he was about to do until the gateway in quick motion faded away before Ritsuka could see what would happen next.

Ritsuka would become frustrated over what was happening to him that he began to yell out into the void to get a response for why he was brought to this place.

"What do you want from me!" Ritsuka shouted to the void of darkness that surrounded him, which did not give him a response back.

"I don't understand why you are showing these visions to me? How do they connect with me?!" Ritsuka shouted again to the void, however he still did not receive a response to his questions.

"Please.. answer me!" Ritsuka shouted again as his final attempt to get a response from the void, which again did not give him a response to his question.

At that moment, Ritsuka began to feel despair growing within his mind over the possibility of him being struck in this void of darkness indefinitely.

He began to have flashbacks of the Chaldean staff, Da Vinci, the servants that he had met during his time in the singularities, and Mashu who were there for him throughout his journey of saving humanity's history from its incineration by Goetia.

"I.. I just want to see them again." Ritsuka thought to himself in sadness as he began to hold himself and close his eyes as he continued to fall deeper into the void.

However, what Ritsuka did not notice at that moment was that his falling started to slow down until he was fully stopped, but still floating in the endless void of darkness.

Ritsuka at that moment began to open his eyes and let go of himself as he began to notice that he stopped falling deeper into the void and wondered why his falling stopped, while still in a depressed state.

'Why did I stop falling?' Ritsuka thought to himself in confusion and sly sadness on why he stopped falling until he froze in place as he began to feel a presence filled with dread and fear similar to how he felt when he first faced Goetia in his true form.

'Why am I feeling like this?' Ritsuka questioned himself as he began to hear a distorted sinister voice begin to echo across the void.

"The Dark Aether will consume all that exists within this reality and expand across all other worlds."

As Ritsuka faced in the direction of where the distorted voice was coming from. He was stunned at what he was seeing.

A gateway similar to others he had seen during his time in the void, however the vision that he was being shown had a shadowed individual standing in the center looking towards a red sun in the distance, while fragments of places that Ritsuka did not know seem to revolve around the red sun.

'Who are you?' Ritsuka thought to himself over what he was seeing.

As he continued to look at the gateway. He began to hear another distorted voice coming from behind him, however this voice seemed too familiar.

"You can't stop what is to come for your future."

Ritsuka quickly turned around to see who was behind him, but as he began to look behind him. He froze in place at what he was seeing.

There floating in front of Ritsuka was himself, but Ritsuka felt something was wrong. The version of himself standing before him was wearing what looked like a worn out black suit, but was covered in dry blood stains.

However, what Ritsuka began to notice about his other self is that his skin was rotten, decayed, and revealing exposed flesh around his mouth and some parts of his face, which also had dry blood around those areas.

"What are you?" Ritsuka questioned his other self, which his other self began to look at him and began to think of what to say until he stopped in placed and faced towards Ritsuka and began to expressed a sinister smile, which freaked Ritsuka out and caused him to step back at how quickly his other self expression changed, until he spoke.

"What…? Are you scared?"

"Who are you!" Ritsuka shouted towards his other self who looked unfazed at him as he began to raise up his right hand and point towards Ritsuka, while having a sinister smile begin to form on his face as he said.

"Someone that you are quite familiar with."

"What..?" Ritsuka said in confusion over what his other self said, until he felt something warped around his leg.

Ritsuka looked down towards his leg and noticed a limb covered in the darkness popping out from the void had gotten ahold of his leg.

"Get off of me!" Ritsuka shouted as he struggled to remove the grip the limb had over his leg. However, unaware to Ritsuka, more limbs began to form all around him and before he could notice them it was too late.

"Let go of me!" Ritsuka shouted again as his whole body was restricted by the limbs that form from the void. Ritsuka continued to struggle against the strength of the limbs that he did not notice that his other self began to drift towards him.

"What do you want from me!" Ritsuka shouted towards his other self who stopped a few feet away from him.

"What do I want from you? Ooh well, I want you to suffer."

Once he said those words. Ritsuka's other self raised his right hand towards the direction of Ritsuka and with one thrust motion he sent Ritsuka flying deeper into the void, while the void began to submerge Ritsuka as the limb kept him restrained.

"AAAAAHHHHH!" Ritsuka screamed as he began to be consumed by the void, while his other self watched on with glee as he began to smile sinisterly and give his last words to himself.

"Once you awaken from this nightmare, remember this. No matter how hard you try to remain yourself through difficult times. There will be a moment in your future where you come to realize that trying to be yourself will eventually break you and you will become something far more terrible than you could possibly imagine."

After Ritsuka's other self finished speaking. He began to turn around and float away back into the void as Ritsuka watched on in horror as he continued to be consumed by the void.

"NO NO NO I.. I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" Ritsuka shouted In his last act of defiance. However, his vision began to darken and his breathing began to slow down as he was slowly being consumed by the darkness of the void.

"I… I… don't… want… to… die…" Is all Ritsuka could say before he was fully consumed by the void as his entire vision darkens.
