"See you then." Maddy

Maddy goes to tell everyone what her mum said, and fortunately it will take at least that long for Ceri to get the necessary supplies together. What they don't know is that Liam was listening into the whole conversation, and goes into the house to confront his friends. Once in the house he looks at his friends, and says.

"I thought we were through with you guys going on adventures without me." Liam

"We are, but only Wolfbloods can go on this adventure mate." Rhydian

"If Shannon can go there has got to be a way for me to come." Liam

"I could call Becca, and see if her research can make Liam a Wolfblood like it did for me and Tom." Shannon

"Are you sure this is what you want mate?" Rhydian

"Positive. After everything we've been through you're not leaving me behind." Liam

Rhydian nods to Liam, and says.

"Alright Shannon call Dr. Whitewood about getting Liam an appointment, but make sure nobody tells her anything about why Liam is doing this." Rhydian

"No problem Rhydian." Shannon

Everybody in the room nods in agreement, and once Shannon is finished making the appointment they wait for Dr. Whitewood to come get Liam. Becca arrives, and Liam gets in her car, and Shannon goes with him to make sure that he doesn't tell Dr. Whitewood anything.

The appointment goes well, and Liam leaves Dr. Whitewood's Lab a Wolfblood. When they get back to Maddy and Rhydian's house the unoccupied members of the pack take Liam out on the moors to teach him what he needs to know about being a Wolfblood. By the time they get back to the house Mr. and Mrs. Smith are pulling up in the driveway of their old house. They get out of the car just as everyone is returning from their run, and say.

"Did you have a good run Maddy?" Emma

"Yes Mam." Maddy

"Good. Why don't we all go inside, and you can tell us the details that you didn't mention on the phone." Emma

Maddy nods, and they walk in the house with her parents following behind their pack. Once everybody is seated inside the pack explains the rest of the situation to Emma and Dan. Emma and Dan make it clear that they are coming with them even if it means changing their way of life. Maddy thinks about the things she doesn't want to change, and learns all that she can about making hygiene products naturally. As soon as Maddy is certain that she can make these products as instructed Maddy then goes, and buys the seeds for the plants required to make the recipes she has learned.

The next morning Maddy goes to check the mail, and finds that her seeds have arrived. As Maddy is on the way home Maddy takes the time she needs to say goodbye to her home so that she can move on to a new one in the other world. Maddy arrives back at the house as Ceri rushes her in so they can finish all last minute preparations, and once they have finished Aran leads everybody outside prepared to take them to the howling cave. Aran takes off running in the direction of the wild packs territory, but then he changes direction going around the territory instead of going through it. After much running the pack arrives at the mouth of the howling cave, and the pack can hear the pain filled howls emanating from the cave. Maddy and the pack follow Ceri into the cave, and Aran stands there watching all of Jana's friends leave never to return again. The deeper they get in the cave the louder the howls become, and by the time the make it to the cavern containing the Silver Mirror even the most stout heated among them is crying. Looking at the Silver Mirror the pack is struck by the mirrors beauty, but before they can get close to it Ceri signals them to stop, and walks up to the Silver Mirror alone. Ceri then begins taking stuff out of her sack, and once everything is setup Ceri begins some kind of ceremony. The pack watches the Silver Mirror reacting to what Ceri is doing, and it is not very long before they can see Jana in the Silver Mirror. When the Silver Mirror displays something other than Jana Rhydian says.

"What's happened?" Rhydian

"The Silver Mirror has selected the right place for us to settle in the same world as Jana." Ceri

"That's good then. What do we do now?" Rhydian

"Everybody needs to come here, and touch the Silver Mirror the same time I do." Ceri

Everybody gathers around the Silver Mirror making sure that they can reach the Silver Mirror to touch it when Ceri says. At exactly the right time Ceri reaches out, and says.

"Touch it now." Ceri

The entire pack touches the Silver Mirror exactly when Ceri says, and knows no more.

The pack wakes up next to some ruins, and Maddy says.

"Well we're here." Maddy

"Now what?" Liam

Maddy thinks about this, and comes up with an idea for a more balanced life than they were living before. Maddy walks over to Ceri, and says.

"Ceri can you teach us how to live in the wild?" Maddy

"Yes." Ceri

"Dad how long will it take you and the guys to build public facilities like a bath house, dinning hall, and lounge hall?" Maddy

"It will take a month to get all three buildings finished, but we should be able to have the first one finished by the end of the week. Providing we can purchase the needed materials, because destroying the surrounding nature is out of the question." Dan

"What are you thinking Maddy?" Tom

"I'm thinking that we have an opportunity to build a more balanced life than either clans of our species did on Earth." Maddy

"I get it we do our best to have the best parts of both life styles as possible in this strange world." Shannon

"Exactly right Shan." Maddy

Emma watches Maddy as she leads their pack into a bright new future, and Emma realizes that her days as pack leader have ended.

While Emma is helping Daniel and the boys survey the ruins, and see if there is anything usable in the wreckage Maddy, Shannon, and Ceri are scouting out their territory. The three females find three ugly stone statues, and something tells them to leave well enough alone, but it is decided that the statues will be used as a landmark to get back to the public area. A while later Maddy finds a cave that stinks horribly, and when they go in to investigate Shannon finds a large pile of gold coins. Shannon looks it over, and says.

"Maddy take a look at this." Shannon

Maddy walks over to see what Shannon found, and says.

"This is brilliant Shan! We can use this to buy the supplies Dad needs for the camp." Maddy

Shannon smiles, and Maddy finds a bag to put the coins in. When the pouch is filled they leave the cave making note of it's location in case they have need of it again. The three of them finish acquainting themselves with their territory, and then venture out to purchase a horse, and cart with which to carry the supplies they are going to buy from the nearest town. When they get to the town called Bree they purchase the horse drawn cart, and then buy a lift of lumber, and all of the carpentry tools Maddy remembers seeing in her Dads workshop as well as a large bag of nails, and as a final touch Maddy buys a map to use to find Jana as well as some blank paper in case something needs to be written down. Maddy decides that they will go back to camp, and return for further supplies when needed.

When they get back to camp they find Gerwyn coming back from making the last of the dens

needed for the pack, and when he sees them he says.

"What's all this then?" Gerwyn

"Supplies for me Dad to use to build the camp buildings. Could you unhook the cart so the horse can graze? I'm going to see if Mam needs help with anything." Maddy

Gerwyn nods, and goes to do as he was told. Ceri and Shannon go to find something to do, and look over the area already imagining the camp they are building here complete with a party area across from the public buildings. Dan walks up to Gerwyn, and says.

"Where did these supplies come from?" Dan

"The girls came back with it after having been gone for a while scouting the territory." Gerwyn

"Right then let's get this stuff unloaded, and find somewhere to stash the cart out of the weather." Dan

Gerwyn and Dan get to work unloading the supplies the girls bought, and once that is done Dan gets to work designing the public buildings. By the time he is finished designing all of the buildings they will need including an office for Ceri their pack healer it is time to turn in for the night.

The next morning the boys get started on the dinning hall while the girls go hunting for breakfast. With all of them helping the boys have been able to finish the exterior of the building, and when the girls come back with breakfast all they need is furniture. Gerwyn takes the buck to gut and skin Dan walks up to Maddy, and says.

"Do you have enough money left over to furnish the dinning hall?" Dan

"I'll check." Maddy

Maddy looks in the pouch, and says.

"As long as we buy the furnishings somewhere other than Bree." Maddy

Emma comes up to Maddy, and says.

"Why don't you an' I hitch up the cart, and go to another village to shop for some furniture?" Emma

"Sounds like fun Mam." Maddy

Maddy and Emma hitch up the horse to the cart while Dan writes out the measurements for the tables, and benches since they decided to furnish the hall cafeteria style with enough extra room in case they need to help weary travelers. Dan hands the papers to Emma, and watches his wife and daughter drive away.

Maddy takes out the map, and says.

"I think we should try looking in one of the villages in the Shire. From what I heard in Bree the Hobbits are peaceful gentle folk who do not put undue value in coin." Maddy

"That's good it means the prices should be reasonable." Emma

Maddy smiles, and continues driving the cart on the road to the Shire. When they get there Maddy pulls up in front of the carpenters shop in Hobbitton. Emma walks up to the carpenters shop while Maddy goes to find the blacksmith to see about ordering a cooker for the dinning hall, and when she gets there she sees someone who is definitely not a Hobbit. Maddy walks into the building, and says.

"Mr. Blacksmith could I talk to you please?" Maddy

"How may I help you Miss?" ?

"I want to hire you to make a cooker." Maddy

"That'll cost you ten gold coins for such a big commission, and I'll even install it free of charge." ?

Maddy thinks about this, and says.

"You have a deal Mr..." Maddy

"Kili son of Dis at your service." Kili

"Maddy nice to meet ya." Maddy

Kili nods, and says.

"I'll have your cooker done by the end of the week." Kili

"Me Mam an I'll be in town about that long you can come by our cart when you're finished. You'll be paid after the cooker is in the cart." Maddy

"I'll see you then Miss Maddy." Kili

Maddy nods, and walks out of the Forge to find out how her mum did with the carpenter.

Maddy gets back to the cart, and sees her mum walking back from talking to the carpenter. Emma gets to the cart, and says.

"The carpenter said that he would have our furniture done by the end of the week, and all it will cost is five gold coins." Emma

"We'll pay the carpenter as soon as the furniture is loaded in the cart. I had good luck as well the blacksmith will have our cooker done by the end of the week, and I told Kili he would be paid his ten gold coins once he had the cooker in the cart." Maddy

"Ten gold coins. Isn't that a little expensive pet?" Emma

"Not when installation is included in the Fee." Maddy

Emma smiles, and hugs her daughter. Maddy grabs the horses reigns, guides the cart off the road, and unhitches the horse from the cart. Maddy and Emma go for a run after seeing to the horse, and by the time they get back it is time to turn in for the night so Maddy and Emma wolf-out before going to sleep.

The next morning the horse who Liam named Sam after one of his best friends nudges them awake, and they wake up changing back before anyone sees them. What they don't know is that someone did see them, and says.

"It is not often that we get skin-changers in these parts especially not ones as unique as you." ?

"Who are you?" Maddy

"I am Tauriel the blacksmiths wife." Tauriel

Maddy examines this Tauriel, and says.

"I've never seen anyone like you before. What are you?"

"I'm an Elf Miss." Tauriel

Maddy raises an eyebrow, but doesn't question it since they are in a different world some people are bound to be different. Maddy smiles mischievously at Tauriel, and says.

"I'm Maddy. So Tauriel what do you do for fun around here?" Maddy

Tauriel gets an equally mischievous look on her face, and says.

"Come with me, and I'll show you." Tauriel

Emma watches Maddy run off with her new friend more than likely to cause some kind of mischief, and shakes her head before going for a walk around the village.

Emma passes the Blacksmith shop, and when she looks in she sees him working on their cooker, and agrees with Maddy that they got a good deal for the cooker after all seeing as it's hand made. Emma thinks about what's going to happen when the Blacksmith comes to their camp to install the cooker in the pack's dinning hall. Emma has a feeling that everything is going to be just fine, and Emma hopes that this recent encounter means they do not have to hide who they are in this world. Emma can't wait to tell her husband and the rest of the pack about this interesting development, and it really is a relief not to have to start out their new life with lies. So far it seems that coming to this world was the best decision they could have ever made, and they are going to make the most of this chance that they can. All they have to do now is finish rebuilding their lives, and then find out what's going on with Jana. Emma really does like Jana despite the initial animosity because of the fight her father started with their pack. In the end Alric and Rhydian healed the rift between their packs, and now they have followed his daughter to a world where they can truly be free. While life is looking good for them Emma will feel much better when she finds out what kind of dangers exist in this world, and as soon as they get home Emma is going leave the territory to find out. Who knows she might even run into Jana while she is out and about. Emma knows that the pack leader Maddy will unhappy that her mum is putting herself in danger, but it is very important that they find out what to look out for sooner rather than later. It is the best way to keep the pack safe, and Maddy will understand that. Emma knows that Maddy still uses Eolas, and now that they are living a more wild life maybe it is time for her to learn

to use it as well. The life they are living now is the perfect blend of wild and tame so using Eolas is a
