"Yes sir I understand completely." Sakuya
Sakuya and Misono leave the office without further delay.
When Sakuya and Misono arrive at the Inn Misono takes him to Tohru's room. Lilac comes in to check on Tohru, sees Sakuya, and recognizes him immediately. Lilac walks up to Tohru's bed, stands next to it protectively, and says.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be a neutral party in this war." Lilac
"I am a neutral party, but the principal at our school sent me here to ascertain the quality of Tohru care." Sakuya
"Why would he do that? They usually send a friend of the student to do that kind of thing." Lilac
"Because I am Tohru's oldest, and dearest friend that's why." Sakuya
Lilac can tell that he is being serious, and reluctantly backs away from the bed. Misono sighs, and says.
"Lilac we are actually very lucky that the principal sent Sakuya Watanuki instead of one of her other two friends. At least he knows what's going on even if he can't do anything to help us." Misono
Lilac nods his agreement, and continues with his check before leaving the room. Sakuya walks over to his childhood friends bedside, and gets on his knees crying at what has happened to such a precious friend. Kuro sees this from inside his ball, and says.
"I can't watch this anymore." Kuro
Misono hears this, and says.
"We'll talk about this as soon as the inspection is complete." Misono
"The clown knows what's going on so why do we need to wait?" Kuro
"Because Sakuya Watanuki needs to focus on his inspection instead of getting distracted by other things." Misono
"Fine, wake me when it's over." Kuro
Misono nods, and turns back to supervising the inspection while Kuro goes back to sleep.
For the rest of the school day Sakuya thoroughly inspects every aspect of Tohru's care. At the end of his inspection Sakuya is satisfied that Tohru is receiving the best care possible. Sakuya goes home to compile his report for the principal. When he is gone the cell phone starts to ring. Misono picks up Sloth, and leaves Tohru's room. When Misono gets to their room he says to Tetsu while holding up the ringing phone.
"Jackpot. You're in luck." Misono
"Yeah, but what's with this ring tone and wallpaper?" Tetsu
"Ah wonderful hello did you happen upon this phone? What a relief. I'm a family member of the person who dropped it. Thanks for picking it up. Higan don't worry it looks like some one found it after all." Tsubaki
"Oh thank goodness." Higan
Misono mutes the phones mic and says.
"Kuro do you have any idea why Tohru is lying comatose right now?" Misono
"The only thing I know is that halfway through her date with the musician I sensed that she was in a great deal of physical pain so I went searching for them without delay. When I found them they were lying on the ground beaten up at the feet of an old man with red hair. I got angry and started to fight the man then I started to feel weird, and this happened. When I came to I saw the old man take the musician away. When I looked at Tohru's face all of the will to live had left her eyes." Kuro
"So you're saying that Tohru looks like she is dead, because her boyfriend was kidnapped by the owner of this phone." Tetsu
"Higan did this to Tohru by taking the man Tohru loves." Lilac
"It sounds like it." Misono
"Then we have to get him back so he can fix this." Tetsu
"Lilac I know I'm asking a lot, but will you help us rescue Licht and Greed?" Misono
"If it will help Tohru get better I will help save them. Just tell me what you need me to do." Lilac
"For now I'm going to put the phone on speaker, and I want you to listen for any tricks that Tsubaki might try to pull." Misono
"I can do that." Lilac
Misono un-mutes the mic, and puts the phone on speaker. Tsubaki continues talking to Higan saying.
"Well aren't you going to thank them?" Tsubaki
"Well I guess I should." Higan
"Want it back? How about we set up a trade? We want the Servamp, and Eve too you bastards." Misono
"Not interesting at all. I'm speaking to the Eve of Lust is that right. Don't you think you're asking a bit much I mean it is just a phone." Tsubaki
"That's not all. We also have one of your subclasses in our possession. I'd call that a pretty good deal. And another thing we want Greed and Licht unharmed." Misono
"Don't you have anything interesting to say?" Tsubaki
"We'll plan the trade off, and call you back from this phone later. Interesting enough for you?" Misono
"I see alright fine we won't hurt them anymore, but I think we'll still keep them separated far apart from each other. Well I'm going to sleep now. So be a dear, and don't call me again until late afternoon alright. Oh one more thing. Higan says the charm on his phone is handmade so make sure you're careful, and don't break it." Tsubaki
"That's what you care about." Misono
Misono hangs up the phone, and is about to start freaking out when Lilac says.
"Don't worry so much Tsubaki was lieing when he said that he is going to separate Licht and Greed beyond their distance limit." Lilac
Misono breaths a sigh of relief, and says.
"At least that gives us an adequate amount of time to plan and prepare. So we can get them back without giving them anything in return." Misono
"Misono don't you think that we should at least give them back the phone even if they get nothing else?" Lilac
"Ok fine, but you have to be here when Tohru wakes up." Misono
"I was planning on it." Lilac
Misono, Lilac, and Tetsu begin to thoroughly plan out the raid to get Licht and Greed back. It takes them quite awhile to formulate a fool proof plan.
As soon as they have everything planed they put the plan into action. Gill distracts Tsubaki while a disguised Lilac steals the keys to Licht and Greed's cells. As this is going on Misono and Lilly, and Tetsu and Hugh distract the subclasses. As soon as he has the keys Lilac sneaks into the building, and unlocks their cells only to find them all beaten up from fighting each other. Lilac walks over to Licht, pulls on his sleeve, and whispers in his ear saying.
"I'm here to rescue you. So you and your Servamp should follow me." Lilac
"Why should I listen to you demon child?" Licht
"You'll get to see Tohru again if you follow me." Lilac
"Tohru. Where is she?" Licht
"I'll take you right to her if you follow me." Lilac
"Fine, but if you're lieing you'll taste my boot demon child." Licht
Lilac gulps, and whispers.
"This way." Lilac
Lilac puts the phone down on the ground where it is visible, but not likely to be stepped on. Licht and Lawless follow Lilac right out of the building, and down the street toward the Inn. When they get to the Inn the three of them walk in without much trouble. Tetsu's father recognizes Lilac as one of his son's new friends. Lilac takes them to Tohru's room, and when he sees the state she's in Licht looks like he is going to go berserk. Before he has a chance to attack Lilac Tetsu grabs him under the arms restraining him. Licht goes into a rage, and says.
"What are you doing? This demon hurt Tohru I'll kill him." Licht
"Calm down Licht Lilac wasn't the one who hurt Tohru." Misono
"Then who did?" Licht
"Higan did this to Tohru by kidnapping you." Misono
Licht deflates when he hears this, and falls to his knees at Tohru's bedside. Tetsu who let go of Licht as soon as he settled down puts his hand on Licht's shoulder, and says.
"We figured that since your kidnapping caused this. You would be the one who can fix this." Tetsu
Licht looks at Tohru, and begins imagining a way for him to help Tohru get better. As he is doing this he takes Tohru's hand, and as soon as he does this he looses consciousness. Lawless looks closely at his Eve, and is relieved that he is only unconscious. Lawless sees that everyone is starting to panic, and says.
"It's alright everybody he's just unconscious. What's happening now is similar to how a Servamp gives a weapon to an Eve." Lawless
Every one in the room breaths a sigh of relief except Lilac who still looks pretty freaked out by Licht's outburst. Lawless sees this, and says.
"What's wrong little background extra? You look pretty freaked out." Lawless
"He's so violent and scary." Lilac
"He is, but he is also a good person." Lawless
"He is?" Lilac
"Do you really think that a saint like Tohru would ever give her heart to someone who wasn't?" Lawless
Lilac thinks about this, and says.
"No I don't, but I'm still going to be careful around him." Lilac
"That's probably a good idea considering how weak you are for a subclass." Lawless
Lilac gives Lawless a meek smile, and goes over to stand next to Tetsu. Lilac looks up at Tetsu, and notices that there is something wrong with the picture before him. After a few moments Lilac notices that Pride is missing. He pulls on Tetsu's pant leg, and says.
"Tetsu, where's Hugh?" Lilac
Tetsu gets a sad look on his face, and says.
"He was captured while we were fighting the subclasses." Tetsu
Lilac hugs Tetsu's leg, and goes back to watching Licht help Tohru.
Meanwhile Licht arrives in Tohru's mind. He looks around, and sees someone sitting on a swing in a school playground. He begins to walk toward the person, but finds that the path keeps getting longer. After awhile Licht finds himself standing in the playground. Licht looks at the swing set, and sees that Tohru is sitting there all by herself. He walks over to her, and says.
"Tohru." Licht
Tohru lifts her head, and is puzzled at seeing him standing in front of her. Licht bends down, lifts her chin with his finger, and says.
"You shouldn't be so surprised to see me. It takes a lot more than a little fire to get rid of an angel." Licht
Tohru giggles, and wraps her arms around his neck happy that he is safe. Licht hugs her back, and says.
"Please come back with me?" Licht
"Sorry Jekyll, but I can't." Tohru
"Why not?" Licht
"I don't have the strength anymore." Tohru
Licht raises an eyebrow demanding an explanation. Tohru gives him one saying.
"I used it to hold myself up under the weight of my grief and pain, but when the old man took you from me the weight became to much for me to take." Tohru
"So you have been crushed under enormity of your pain and grief." Licht
Tohru nods her head, and Licht thinks over her problem so he can come up with a solution. Licht realizes that in order for Tohru to come back with him a large portion of that pain needs to be healed. Licht lets go of her, backs up several steps, and says.
"If you can't comeback with me I'll just have to play my piano for you here." Licht
Licht summons his piano, sits on the bench, and begins to play. Licht imagines the music healing the pain as she hears it. Tohru feels herself getting lighter with every note that Licht plays. By the end of the song she feels as strong as she did before Licht was kidnapped. The piano disappears, and Licht looks at her with hope burning brightly in his eyes. Tohru stands up from the swing, and runs to him with a bright smile on her face. As she is embracing him the things around them blur, and Licht smiles happy to be able to help Tohru.
Back in the real world Misono notices the two of them begin to stir, and says.
"They're waking up." Misono
Everybody watches as Tohru and Licht open their eyes. Licht sits up, and Tohru hugs him with happy tears pouring down her face. Misono ushers them into the room reserved for them, and grips the ball containing Kuro in his hand. Once everyone is seated Misono puts the ball on the table, Tohru looks at the ball, and sees a little Kuro rolling around inside there. Tohru tells the others this, and when they don't believe it she says.
"Maybe you need to have your eyes checked out. Get close don't you see little Kuro rolling around inside?" Tohru
"There's nothing in there." Misono
"Hey stop tapping Hot Springs Guy. I'm a delicate ball you should be handling me with care plus it's annoying." Kuro
"Listen he's talking now." Tohru
"I don't hear anything sorry." Tetsu
"Huh." Tohru
Licht imagines himself hearing what Tohru is describing, and when he looks at the ball he can see the tiny demon laying inside the ball just like Tohru says. Misono goes on to say.
"You maybe able to see him, but to us this is just a solid black ball." Misono
"Speak for yourself shorty." Licht
"Who are you calling short, and are you telling me that you can see what Tohru is seeing?" Misono
"That's what I said or weren't you listening." Licht
Misono sighs, and says to Tohru.
"At least you can still talk to him." Misono
Tetsu and Tohru go outside to try, and beak Kuro out of the ball. Tetsu gets out a saw, and says.
"Here's an idea. We just break the weird ball so Mr. Sloth is free to lay around and complain at full size again." Tetsu
Tetsu proceeds to saw on the ball to no avail. Licht comes up to them, and says.
"Here let me try getting him out." Licht
Licht attacks the ball with the same intensity as he fights with Lawless, but doesn't put so much as a scratch on the ball.
They all stand back, and Tetsu says to Licht.
"Wow. I can't believe you couldn't even break the dang thing." Tetsu
"I think that we might be going about this all wrong." Licht
Tetsu's father pops his head out, and says.
"Tetsu. You have some visitor waiting for you in the lobby." father
Tohru and Tetsu follow him to the lobby, and see a haggard looking Kranz, who says.
"It's about Licht. He's gone missing." Kranz
"Pull yourself together Kranz." Licht
