"Right I started running with them in the 5th grade." Uo
"You always used to wear those masks all the time." Tohru
"And I had my eyebrows thinned out, and wore those long skirts." Uo
"You're forgetting you do all those things now Arisa." Hana
"I guess you're right." Uo
"You definitely have come along way from the thug you used to be." Sakuya
Yuki and Kyo continue to look puzzled, and Sakuya goes on to say.
"As for me I was in elementary school, and Tohru transferred into my class. She was the new kid in the neighbourhood, and I wanted nothing to do with her or anybody else for that matter." Sakuya
"Tragedy had struck both our lives, and we were dealing with it in very different ways." Tohru
"You can say that again, but after several months I started to open up a little, and Tohru and I became inseparable." Sakuya
"Even when mom and I had to move away Sakuya made sure to keep in touch. Of all my friends Sakuya is the dearest to me." Tohru
Hana and Uo feel a pinch of jealousy, but it vanishes before anyone notices. To break the tension in the air Shigurae looks at the table, and says.
"That's lovely. To put it into words the nobility of it all would be obscured." Shigurae
"Of what?" Yuki
"You know she's so spunky." Shigurae
"You sick bastard." Kyo
"How sad love doomed from the start." Hana
"You're reading that." Uo
Shigurae comes up behind Hana, and says.
"That silly little thing oh I'm faltered. So what do you think?" Shigurae
Hana looks at him sternly, and says.
"You don't want to know what I think." Hana
"Oh no?" Shigurae
"But when is volume 2 coming out?" Hana
"Look can we just knock it off with the books already." Uo
'Everyone's getting along so well. It's so nice that we can all have a good time together like this.' Tohru
Tohru thinks of the perfect thing for them to do as a group, and says.
"I know I just thought of something fun we can do. Wait here I'll be right back." Tohru
Tohru leaves the room, and Shigurae says.
"So then Saki you never did tell us how you and Tohru got to be friends." Shigurae
"Are you sure you're ready to hear?" Hana
"Oh, uh, that's ok so long as you're friends now that's what's important." Shigurae
"We were in middle school, and I was transferred into Tohru's class." Hana
"Ah, is that so?" Shigurae
"Yes, you see at my previous school I had caused something of a disturbance." Hana
"Well that is a wonderful story isn't it, but I just remembered I have some work to do so if you kids will excuse me." Shigurae
'He ran off.' Yuki
'Ran the hell away.' Kyo
While Kyo and Yuki are thinking this Kuro sneaks away to Shigurae's office to talk to Shigurae in private. When he gets there he closes the door behind him, and says.
"How is the adoption progressing?" Kuro
"I have filed the papers with the right people. I even had them put a rush on it, but I would suggest not saying anything to Tohru until the papers are finalized." Shigurae
"That goes without saying. How long do you think it will take for the papers to be finalized?" Kuro
"They should be done within the next couple of days." Shigurae
"Good we will tell Tohru as soon as you get the call that the paper work has gone through." Kuro
"Agreed. I just hope that Akito doesn't react badly when he hears about this." Shigurae
"I don't really care. Even the Soma god knows that it is unwise to mess with the seven deadly sins." Kuro
Shigurae remembers hearing something about that, but can't remember what it was. He shrugs it off happy that what ever it is that he has forgotten is keeping Tohru safe. As Kuro is leaving his office Shigurae says.
"Thank you for this; Tohru is a blessing to our household. We can't imagine happy lives without her anymore, and now we won't have to." Shigurae
Kuro leaves the room, and goes back to napping on Tohru's head.
Kuro arrives in the living room in time to hear Uo say.
"I gotta say I didn't know what to make of all this when she told us, but it looks like Tohru's fitting right in here. I'm happy for her, and I guess I can understand why she was hesitant to say anything at first, but still we made a promise. The three of us swore over Kyoko's grave that when the time came we'd be there to help each other no matter what. That probably sounds a bit over dramatic, but it wasn't really for us. After all Tohru was our first real friend, and everything. Tohru, Tohru and Kyoko both they were there for me when I needed someone most. Thanks to them I found the strength to climb my way out of all the crap I'd fallen into. They helped me to believe in myself that I could change if I wanted. For the first time I discovered that I did want to change I wanted to be someone Tohru could be proud to call her friend the way I was proud to call her mine. So this time around with everything that's happened the fact that I wasn't there to help Tohru that bothers me. I mean that she would even think that she had to go through all this trouble by herself. Maybe she doesn't think she can count on us, or maybe we're just not that good as friends." Uo
"Nah I just don't think she's the kind of girl that worries about stuff like that." Kyo
"Miss Honda is...she is the kind of person who puts others well being before her own." Yuki
The three of them are astounded by how well they already know Tohru after so little time that they have known her.
Tohru comes back into the room, and says.
"Sorry it took so long. I hope you're all ready to play Rich-man Poor-man." Tohru
"Ah that's a fine idea Tohru." Hana
"How about we pick it up where we left off. I don't think I got to finish making a fool out of orange-top here." Uo
"Yeah talk it up, but this time when I win you have to die your hair black." Kyo
"Oh? Well when you loose you have to bleach all the dye out of your hair, and leave it white." Uo
"It's naturally this colour." Kyo
"Is that right?" Hana
"That's right." Kyo
"Yuki. Would you like to shuffle the cards?" Tohru
"Uh...I...sure." Yuki
They are playing, and the game is not going her way so Uo says.
"Why you rotten little ...you and your cheap ass tricks!" Uo
"Cheap nothing that's fair game you're the one playing tricks Yankee." Kyo
"Next time you pull that crap I'm going to light you up." Uo
"Go ahead and try it'll be the dumbest thing you ever did. I'll take you out!" Kyo
"Oh yeah some tough guy you're running away." Uo
"Who's running I'm going to the bathroom." Kyo
"Awe gotta take a leak." Uo
"What's it to you?" Kyo
"Better hurry we wouldn't want you to piss yourself." Uo
"Dammit you got a foul mouth." Kyo
Uo bumps into Kyo during the confrontation, and he transforms Yuki covers for him by saying.
"Something wrong Miss Uotani?" Yuki
"Uh no." Uo
"Ah well that's good it's just that things sounded like they were getting pretty heated there for a minute." Yuki
While Yuki says this Kyo takes the opportunity to sneak out of the room while Uo is distracted.
Tohru smiles at this, and says.
"I know until Kyo gets back from the bathroom why don't we all play a quick game of Sevens?" Tohru
"Yeah sure let's play." Uo
As Uo is returning to her seat she trips on Kyo's pants causing her to fall in the direction of Yuki, and Tohru tries to help only to trip and fall with Yuki catching her causing him to transform as well. Yuki high tails it out of the room as well, and Uo says.
"Tohru. Are you ok?" Uo
Sakuya is already by Tohru's side, and says.
"She's fine Uo no need to worry." Sakuya
"Are you hurt at all?" Hana
"No I'm alright." Tohru
Tohru and Sakuya both look at what Tohru is holding in her hand, and Sakuya looks at Tohru with a stern look making it clear that she is not to lie to cover up the situation. Since Tohru can't think of anything else she lets go of Yuki's shirt, and returns to the table. Sakuya covers up the situation by saying.
"Why don't we get back to the game? I for one am looking forward to thoroughly beating Uo." Sakuya
"Oh yeah I'd like to see you try." Uo
Sakuya smirks, and says.
"Don't worry I will." Sakuya
Everyone gets back to the game, and waits for everybody to get back so they can resume playing Rich-man Poor-man.
As they are playing the game of Sevens Uo says.
"Old Orange-top sure is taking his time." Uo
"Sure is." Tohru
"And the prince just up and disappeared. Guess he..." Uo
"You're right I wonder where our kind hosts have run off to?" Hana
"For the love of we can't even start this game of Sevens you know." Uo
"A cat..." Hana
Shiguray covers for Kyo, and says.
"Oh you're playing Sevens right sounds like fun. Think you have room for one more?" Shigurae
"Well if it isn't the master novelist. You any good at this game?" Uo
"Well you should know in the old days they used to call me the Sevens bandit." Shigurae
Just as Tohru is about to say something in response Sakuya gets an angry look on his face, and says.
"Did you just lie to us?" Sakuya
Seeing no way out of this situation Shigurae fesses up saying.
"Yeah I did. Why?" Shigurae
"Why? The person responsible for taking care of my best friend just lied right to our faces, and you are asking Why!" Sakuya
"Sakuya please calm down. Shigurae knows that it was wrong to lie. Shigurae please apologize for lieing?" Tohru
"Yes of course. Sakuya I apologize for my little white lie. Can we get back to the game please?" Shigurae
Sakuya takes a deep breath, and says.
"Yeah fine." Sakuya
As they are getting ready to play there is a boom signalling that one of the boys just transformed back. Uo notices the sound, and says.
"You guys hear that? Sounded like some kind of boom." Uo
"There was a definite boom." Hana
In the process of Tohru and Shigurae trying to cover up for Kyo Tohru lands on Shigurae causing him to transform as well. Tohru hugs Shigurae, and says.
"Ah, I thought you'd run away I'm so glad you're back Spot." Tohru
Sakuya is trying to contain his laughter about the cover-up name while Shigurae thinks.
'Spot.' Shigurae
Hana notices the empty snack bowl, and says.
"That's odd it appears that we've run out of snacks. I'll go find the kitchen." Hana
Hana leaves the room, and bumps into Kyo causing him to transform. Shigurae decides to cause a ruckus to distract their guests. Shigurae throws Yuki's clothes outside so that he can get dressed. In her confusion Uo says.
"That's weird I could've sworn I saw Orange-top in here." Uo
Shigurae continues the distraction, Yuki walks into the room, and says.
"Miss Honda I think spot is trying to tell us that he's hungry don't you?" Yuki
"Yeah that must be it. Here boy let's go to the kitchen Spot." Tohru
"Tohru wait." Hana
"Uh yes?" Tohru
"Some more snacks if you don't mind." Hana
"Oh sure." Tohru
Once in the kitchen Tohru gives Shigurae a bowl of milk, and says.
"I'm really sorry. I promise the last thing I wanted was for this to cause everybody so much trouble." Tohru
"Hey nothing to apologize for." Shigurae
"I'm not so sure." Tohru
"Tohru if these people are important to you then they are important to us to. Do you understand?" Shigurae
Tohru smiles, and says.
"Yes I understand. Oh but I'm sure Yuki is probably wondering where we are." Tohru
Back in the living Uo is getting board, and says.
"Come on." Uo
"This game isn't going very well now is it?" Hana
Hana, Uo, and Sakuya look at Yuki look who says.
"Uh...Why don't I...I'll go check on her." Yuki
Yuki turns and walks to the kitchen to find Tohru. Tohru walks through the door, and bumps into Yuki while saying.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." Tohru
Yuki transforms, and gets mixed in with all the Jelly-buns. Tohru tries to catch Yuki, but ends up catching a Jelly-bun instead. Uo notices this, and says.
"Hey Tohru nice catch." Uo
"Although most of them still fell." Hana
After Hana says this Yuki is thinking 'Maybe I was lucky she didn't catch me. She squeezed that bun so hard all the filling came out'.
Yuki, Kyo, and Shigurae are in the laundry room looking for some clothes, and Shigurae says.
