Decisions and Reunions

Saturday: Day Six continued...

After they left the library Usagi and Mamoru walked back to his car in thoughtful silence. When they reached the vehicle they got inside and Mamoru started the engine as they put on their seatbelts.

"He really is Zoisite." Mamoru said quietly. "Alive and well, and he didn't appear to recognize us."

"Perhaps it's because of the way he was brought back." Usagi suggested. "Maybe it was traumatic on the mind despite the healing. Since he's going by a different name he might not remember his life at all."

"Amnesia." He said as he pulled out into the road. "Or maybe that was his actual name before Beryl got ahold of him in this time."

Usagi nodded thoughtfully, not having thought of that.

"It was strange to see him up close. The first memories to come to mind are the ones of him as a dark general." She said.

"Yeah." Mamoru agreed. "The last time I physically saw him was when I was captured."

"What will we do if the others aren't with Zoisite where he lives?" Usagi asked after a few quiet moments. "How will we be able to know if they're back as well?"

"I could try and use my connection to the Earth to find them that way, but I don't know if it would work. I would be using the name I remember them having, and it might not work if they don't think of themselves by that name." He said thoughtfully.

"Still, I would also be using how I remember them looking, so that should help if they're alive as well." He added, and she nodded.

"What do you plan to do if they are alive?" Usagi asked. It was something she had only just thought of in that moment and was curious to know.

"I'm actually trying not to think of that yet." Mamoru said with a sigh. "I didn't want my thoughts going there before figuring out if Zoisite was actually Zoisite, and now that we know I still want to wait until I know for sure if the other guys are back as well."

"But after that I honestly don't know. It's something I'm going to have to think about it." He said.

"That's understandable." She said as she nodded, and then changed the subject since he didn't want to think on what to do about the generals until he knew for sure that they were all alive. "So what should we do now since it's going to be a while before we go back to follow Zoisite?"

Mamoru hummed thoughtfully as he focused on the road.

"We can go do some training." He suggested. "You have your new scepter to try out and get used to, and we can work on whatever else comes to mind."

"Sure." Usagi agreed. "I do want to try it out, and see what it can do." She added and he nodded.

"In that case I'll take us back to my place, and we can go to Elysion from there." Mamoru said.

"That's fine with me." She said as she nodded.

With that decided Mamoru looked around and changed lanes before he began to head in the direction of his apartment since he had just been driving in a random direction after leaving the library.

It didn't take them long to get there and after he parked they walked to the elevator in the underground garage and rode it up to his floor before they made their way to his apartment.

Once inside Mamoru instantly wrapped his arms around Usagi and focused on his crystal and wanting to go to Elysion with his princess. In the next moment they disappeared in a flash of golden light, and reappeared in the sacred place to the pleasant fragrance of roses.

They released their hold on each other and Usagi gestured for her brooch, resting in her subspace pocket, as she looked around at the sea of roses.

"Moon Crystal Power, Make Up!" She said quietly. She was instantly surrounded in a bright soft pink light, and when it cleared she stood as the senshi of the Moon.

Mamoru watched his princess transform and smiled at the sight of her moonlight silver hair and her senshi suit. He looked to her brooch and noticed for the first time since she had been injured that it was no long scratched up. It was back to its shiny pristine form.

He glanced over to see Helios walking toward him before he looked back to Usagi.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

"Yeah. Are you going to transform?" She asked.

"Not yet. I'm not sure what I want to work on first, so I'll just watch you first." Mamoru said.

Usagi nodded and looked over to see Helios stepping toward them.

"Hi." She said as she waved slightly.

"Greetings princess." Helios said. "I am glad to see you looking healthy."

"Me too." Usagi agreed. "Mamoru told me about my injures, but I thankfully don't remember the majority of them actually happening."

"That is indeed something to be thankful for." Helios said, and Usagi and Mamoru nodded before she gestured with her hand as she summoned her new scepter. Helios looked on curiously.

"This is my new scepter. I just got it today, and I'm anxious to see how it works." She said, and Helios nodded.

"Go on then. Give it a try." Mamoru said.

Usagi nodded and turned away toward an open area. She lifted the scepter and swung it slightly as she looked at it. Then she focused her mind on it and wanting to attack and defeat an enemy.

The words almost instantly came to her mind, but she paused before she could do anything. Moon Princess Halation. There was nothing wrong with the phrase, but she didn't like it.

It sounds too much like an announcement of my true identity. She thought with a slight frown.

She was senshi of the Moon so her identity as Usagi was hidden, but no enemy or anyone otherwise needed to know she was princess of the Moon. There was no guarantee that anyone would infer that from the phrase, but it made her too uncomfortable so she needed something else.

As her thought finished her crystal pulsed inside her and a new phrase entered her mind. She sighed in relief. Those words were much more comfortable for her to be saying out loud.

Thank you. She told her crystal warmly, and it responded with a gentle pulse of warmth. She then lifted her scepter and began to wave it around in a graceful yet complex manner.

"Moon Scepter Elimination." She said calmly sending a swirl of pink and blue light streaming outward with a large white crescent moon and blue stars in the middle.

The attack flowed forward in the air for a few feet before it tapered off into nothing without a target.

"Nice." Mamoru said as he watched the attack fade away.

"It looks impressive." Helios commented.

"Thanks." Usagi said. "I think so too. Now I need to practice using it with minimal movement and without speaking."

"I'm sure you'll get it in no time." Mamoru said as he nodded.

"Thanks." She said with a smile, and focused back on her scepter. She began to wave her wand but with less movement than before.

"Moon Scepter Elimination." She said sending the pink and blue swirls of light streaming forward with the white crescent moon and blue stars in the middle.

Again and again she did this, lessening her movements, until she could simply point her scepter and speak the phrase and know confidently that her attack would come out.

She then focused on speaking the phrase quieter and quieter until she was whispering the words, and soon she wasn't speaking the words at all. All she did was think the phrase and the attack would stream from her scepter.

Usagi nodded to herself at her success and sighed.

What to do next. She wondered. I suppose I can practice with the attacks I made up. She considered, and then she paused and looked at her scepter thoughtfully.

Can I use my attacks through this? She wondered as she gazed at her scepter.

If she could she wouldn't have to put her scepter away to use her attacks. That was something that sounded appealing since there was always the possibility that she would need to use her attacks after she summoned her scepter and didn't want to chance putting it away.

I'm going to try. She told herself. It would be a good ability to have, and if I can make it work then I'll move on to work on my sword skills. She thought as she focused on her power and lifted her scepter.

Infinite Moonlight Illusion Beam. She said silently as she pointed it out into the open space.

To her pleasure the white beam of light shot out of the scepter with silver blue tinted crescent moons inside and flew forward. The attack moved through the air just as it normally did when she launched it through her hands.

Usagi nodded and took a breath before she began to try to launch the normal version of the attack.

Meanwhile, as Mamoru watched his princess work he turned his mind to what he could practice. He supposed he could practice his own attacks. He was confident in using them, but he still needed to focus more than he was comfortable with when he used them.

So I can do that. He thought, but another idea instantly began to build in his mind.

He'd brought Usagi to Elysion without realizing that was where he was going when she was so injured. All the other times he had gone to Elysion or brought them there he had focused on the location specifically, but that time he had not and it made him wonder.

Since I wasn't specific that time does that mean I can go to other places? He considered curiously.

He had assumed the power of his crystal could only bring him to and from Elysion, but what if that wasn't the case? What if it could actually take him other places?

After all, he had to be able to get to the Moon in the past to see Serenity without anyone knowing. And she had obviously been able to come to the Earth before and after they met without anyone knowing.

So that means she can very well do the same thing at this point as well. Mamoru told himself and hummed thoughtfully.

I'll be right back; I want to try something. He told Usagi.

Okay. Good luck with whatever it is. She replied.

Thanks. He said before he closed his eyes and focused on what he wanted to do.

He focused on his apartment, picturing the open space behind his couch in his living room, and willed himself there. Golden light flashed behind his eyelids and when it was gone he opened his eyes and found himself back in his apartment in the exact spot he wanted to be.

He nodded to himself and then closed his eyes and focused on Usagi's bedroom. Her bedroom door might be open, and there was a chance one of her family members might see, but it was a different location.

It was his princess' bedroom and he needed to see if he could get there; to her house at all.

He took a breath and willed himself there. Immediately there was a flash of golden light and when it cleared he opened his eyes, and smiled slowly to see that he had made it. He was in Usagi's bedroom, and thankfully her bedroom door was closed.

He looked around, spotting her school uniform hanging from a hanger on her closet door, and a vase of roses on her vanity and the nightstand closest to the balcony.

Mamoru sighed lightly and considered where to go next to test this ability. The list was short considering it was light out, but he still needed to be careful.

Motoki's apartment building. He decided. He couldn't just appear inside since he didn't know if his best friend was home or not, but appearing on the roof was doable and good enough for his test.

He crouched down and narrowed his eyes as he pictured the apartment building then focused on the roof of the building. He'd never been on the roof but he hoped simply his intent was enough as he willed himself there.

Once again he was surrounded in golden light and as he blinked it was gone just as quickly as it appeared. He looked around and found himself on the roof of the building, and from what he could see from his crouched position it was the correct rooftop.

Okay. I made it to this location but I want to try at least one more just to be sure I have the feel of it. He thought as he looked around.

He knew he couldn't go to his university campus, not even the roof, because there would be too many people on campus since there were weekend classes. Since he couldn't go there he decided to try the park he and Usagi used when they trained together and weren't in Elysion.

He closed his eyes and visualized a random spot since he knew the whole place would be deserted and willed himself there. Again golden light flashed behind his eyelids briefly and when it was gone he opened his eyes and nodded to see himself crouched on grass surrounded by bushes and trees.

Mamoru stood up and looked around, pleased with his testing and happy that he could officially teleport himself anywhere he could think off.

Time to head back and tell my princess. He thought with a slight smile.

He took a deep breath and pictured Elysion, the spot he had stood in before he left, and willed himself there; once again disappearing in a flash of golden light.

Meanwhile, Usagi finished working with her scepter and stored it away back in her subspace pocket. She was happy that she could use her attacks with her scepter, and decided to work more with it during the group training that night.

She then sighed and summoned her Holy Blade to her hand since she had told herself she would work with her sword if she could get her attacks to work with her scepter.

I really do need to work with my sword since any practice will make me better with the long blade. She reminded herself.

She wrapped her free hand around the hilt with her other hand and lifted the sword before she began to go through the different stances her prince had drilled into her.

As she shifted her feet, twisted, and turned while positioning her sword correctly she began to think back to her wish of wanting to spend the night with Mamoru. She had thought about it when she was trying to get to sleep the night before, and again when she woke up and had been going about her morning routine but no ideas had come to her.

She considered what she would be doing for the rest of the day. After training she would eventually go with Mamoru to follow Zoisite to wherever he lived and see if the other guys were back as well, and after that she would be training with him and the girls.

It will be late by the time I get to bed... She thought, but let it trail off as an idea came to her.

Since it would be late it would be reasonable to stay with one of the girls, especially since they also had training early in the morning. She would be at home for only a couple of hours before leaving back out.

So why not have a sleepover? She considered. In fact, I can say it will be with all of the girls and not just one of them. That can definitely work as an excuse, so I can spend the night with Mamoru. I just need to argue it right with my parents.

Usagi smiled slightly and hummed happily at the idea she had come up with. She would tell Mamoru when he returned since she didn't want to distract him from whatever he was doing.

She opened her eyes, not realizing she had closed them, and smiled a little wider to realize she hadn't paused in her movements or hesitated at all. She was getting better.

With that encouraging self-thought she decided to switch it up, and began to move as if fighting an attacking opponent.

She shifted her sword so it lay sideways as she raised it up as if blocking a downward strike from above then sliced downward before twisting to her side to block a strike from that direction. She raised her sword again and swiped it down at the imaginary opponent before thrusting her sword forward as if plunging into their chest.

She carefully reversed her grip on her hilt as she swung the blade back and shoved it behind her. In the next moment she spun around and sliced down, dealing another imaginary wound to the same imaginary opponent.

Spinning back around she sliced down on another imaginary opponent and brought her sword back up and swung across as she sliced across where she imagined her opponents neck was. Quickly she stepped to the side and back before she swung her sword upward sharply and back down just as quickly at an entirely different imaginary opponent.

Usagi twisted around and released a hand from her sword hilt and summoned her scepter. As she finished her twist she paused and blinked at the sight of her prince standing where he had been before he left, smiling at her.

"Nice, very nice." Mamoru said. "You're looking good."

"Thanks." She said with a bright smile.

"I want to join you, but I want to tell you what I just did." He said.

Usagi nodded and began to walk toward him as she relaxed her arms, still holding her sword and scepter.

"So I just tested the ability and found that I can teleport myself wherever I want. I thought I might be able to do it after I brought you here to heal, because I didn't specifically focus to bring you here; I just wanted to get you somewhere safe." Mamoru explained.

"For some reason before I only thought I could go to and from Elysion. Obviously that's no longer the case, and I fully believe you can as well since you could bring yourself to the Moon and back easily." He continued.

"Oh wow. That's a good ability to have, and useful too." Usagi said.

"Yes." He agreed. "If you want to practice we'll have to leave Elysion since you wouldn't be able to get back here without me."

"Ok let's do it." She agreed easily as she put her sword and scepter away. "I want to try it. I can always continue what I was doing tonight during our group training." She said, and he nodded.

"Goodbye Helios." He said as she released her transformation. "We'll see you next time we come, which will probably sooner than we expect."

"Yes. We'll definitely be back." Usagi agreed. "I like doing my training here, and you have such a calming presence."

"Thank you. I enjoy watching you both, and I wish you luck with your potential new ability." Helios said.

"Thank you." She said and wrapped her arms around Mamoru. "Goodbye."

"Farewell Endymion, Serenity." Helios said.

Mamoru wrapped his arms around Usagi and pictured the open space behind his couch in his apartment and willed them there. Golden light flashed briefly and when it cleared they were inside his apartment.

"So how did you do the teleporting?" Usagi asked as she released her hold on him.

"The same way I took us to Elysion; the same way you take yourself to the Moon." Mamoru answered. "Focus on where you want to go, picture the destination in your mind, and will yourself there."

"Okay." She said as she nodded. "I'm going to try going to my bedroom first."

"Alright. I'll be sitting here when you get back." He said as he gestured to the couch. "Unless you want to update me as you go." He added.

"I'll update you. Listen for me." She said.

"Alright. Good luck." He said.

Usagi took a breath and let it out slowly as she pictured her room and wanting to arrive next to her bed where she usually got in and out and willed herself there. A flash of white light blinded her and when it cleared she blinked rapidly, but was pleased to note that she was where she intended to be. She was in her bedroom at her house.

I made it. She informed Mamoru as she looked at her room looking exactly the way she left it when she left with Mamoru to start their date.

Good. Where to next? He asked curiously, and she hummed.

My school campus. She decided. There's no one there and it's a familiar location and a good distance from my house.

Okay; good luck again. Mamoru said.

Thanks. Usagi said as she closed her eyes, and then focused on her next destination.

She pictured the roof of her school, where she had spent her lunch hour numerous times, just a few feet away from the protective fence surrounding the edge and willed herself there.

Light flashed behind her eyelids and cleared just as quickly. She felt the light of the sun against her skin and opened her eyes to see she was standing on the roof of her school. It was quiet, quieter than she had ever heard it, and of course empty.

I made it successfully to my school campus and I'm now on my way to the park where we train together. She informed her prince.

Okay. Mamoru replied.

She closed her eyes and pictured the park they used for their training, on a spot enclosed by trees, and willed herself there. Once again light flashed behind her eyelids and when it was gone she opened her eyes to find herself in the familiar park. This particular spot was one they had rested in many times before during their training.

Usagi nodded as she looked around and immediately focused on another location, the park where she and the girls decided to do their group training. She closed her eyes as she pictured a more secluded spot of the park and willed herself there.

Another flash of light later and she opened her eyes and saw that she was in the spot she had pictured.

I made it to the park fine, and also to the park where me and the girls train. Now I'm on my way back. She told Mamoru.

Okay; I'll see you soon. He replied.

Usagi once again closed her eyes and pictured the space inside Mamoru's apartment behind his couch and willed herself there. Light flashed behind her eyelids and the warm sunlight disappeared.

She opened her eyes and smiled to find herself back in the apartment and Mamoru on the couch watching TV. She walked around the couch and flopped down next to him with a sigh. Mamoru wrapped his arm around her shoulders and kissed her cheek.

"Congratulations on your success." He said.

"Thanks." Usagi said as she looked to him. "It's really convenient."

"Yeah." He agreed. "I believe we can go anywhere on the Earth with the ability, and we can possibly take advantage of that for dates."

"Definitely." Usagi agreed as she nodded. "I'm definitely going to use it when I feel the need to see you at night." She added, and he laughed.

Me too. He agreed.

"Oh! That reminds me." She said as she was reminded of her earlier thoughts. "I came up with an excuse I think will work so I can stay the night with you."

"I'm all ears." Mamoru said.

"I'll tell my parents that me and the girls are going to have a sleepover since we'll be getting to bed late and getting up early because of our training." She informed him, and he nodded.

"I think that could work; especially if you mentioned being down a senshi. We would be working extra hard to compensate." He said, and she nodded.

"I'll do that then." She agreed.

"I'll keep quiet so there's no thought that I'm going to be involved in the sleepover." Mamoru said, and she smiled. "Let's go to your house right now and get this explanation out there, so we can know for sure if it will work or not."

"Okay." Usagi agreed with a nod.

Mamoru turned the TV off and the couple decided to use their new mode of travel. Usagi held his hand and teleported them to a secluded spot in her neighborhood as close to her house as she could get them.

They appeared in a flash of white light and saw that the area was thankfully just as secluded as she thought it would be. They then walked hand in hand down the sidewalk toward her house. When they reached it Usagi opened the door and they stepped inside, and removed their shoes before walking into the living room where her mother sat.

"Hi you two." Ikuko said as she looked over to them.

"Hi mom." Usagi said.

"Hello Mrs. Tsukino." Mamoru said.

"Is dad home?" Usagi asked as they sat down on the couch.

"No; he's still at work." Ikuko answered.

"What about Shingo?" Usagi asked.

"He's not. He's at a friends house down the street." Ikuko said.

This is great! I can tell mom the sleepover excuse and not have to worry about convincing dad. Usagi told Mamoru.

I hope so. Mamoru replied.

"Me, Mamoru, and the girls have training tonight and early in the morning, so I was thinking it would be best to just stay with the girls and have a sleepover." She told her mother.

"A sleepover." Ikuko said as her eyes widened slightly. "You haven't had one of those in a while."

"True." Usagi said as she nodded. "It'll be good for us. We'll be working hard and doing a lot of talking since we're down a fighter for the foreseeable future."

"What do you mean by down a fighter?" Ikuko asked in surprise.

Usagi explained about removing Rei as a senshi the day before; leaving out her being injured as the last straw for why it happened.

"Oh my goodness. I had no idea things with Rei had gotten that bad since you ended your friendship with her." Ikuko said.

"It was a combination of things from before when our last enemy was around and after our friendship ended." Usagi said.

Ikuko nodded, not bothering to ask the specifics of those things since Usagi didn't mention them. Her daughter clearly didn't want to talk about it.

"Why are you all training at night and so early in the morning?" She asked instead.

"It's actually going to be late night, and it's the training schedule that we decided on. We do group training twice during the week and on the weekends, and the late night and early morning is so we can be used to fighting at those times and in the weather conditions at those times." Usagi explained.

Ikuko made a sound of understanding, remembering her going out suddenly to fight one of those creatures late the other night.

"I'm going to suggest to the girls that we have a sleepover every weekend if we can manage it. We can switch locations each time, so we spend the night at each of our houses." Usagi added.

"Which house are you going to be at tonight?" Ikuko asked.

"I don't know. Obviously it will be a choice between Minako's house and Ami and Makoto's apartments." She answered, and hummed thoughtfully.

"I'll tell the girls about you and dad knowing the secret now that Rei is no longer on the team. I feel comfortable that they can handle knowing now, and there will be no problem having meetings here; aside from being careful when Shingo is around." She added.

"How do you think they'll react?" Ikuko asked.

"They're sure to be shocked and surprised, and probably wonder why I hadn't told them before. Of course that answer should be obvious to them, but I'll have no problem reminding them why." She answered.

Ikuko nodded; remembering that she hadn't trusted the girls.

"How are things going with the girls these days?" She asked curiously.

"They're going well. Makoto and Ami have worked hard to fix their friendship with me and gain my trust. I saw their efforts and they have worked as well as they can." Usagi said. "With Rei removed from the picture telling them about you and dad knowing the secret should continue to build the trust, and actually show that I trust them."

"What about Luna?" Ikuko asked.

"I don't know. I haven't heard what's going on with her since Artemis came and got her, but I think I'll inform her as well and see what kind of reaction I get." She said. "I hope her time with Artemis is helping her."

"That makes sense." Ikuko said as she nodded. "I hope your training goes well, and you enjoy your time at the sleepover."

"Thanks. I definitely will." Usagi said.

"So, how did your date go? Did you do anything interesting?" Ikuko asked them.

Usagi and Mamoru looked at each other and smiled, pleased that the sleepover excuse had worked, and began to describe their time at the art gallery and then stumbling upon the musical concert.

Late Evening

Hours had passed since Usagi and Mamoru had arrived at her house, and Usagi lightly skipped down the stairs as she pulled her hair out from beneath her top. She had just changed out of the outfit she had worn earlier into a pair of dark blue jeans and a blue pullover long sleeve sweater.

She walked into the living room and gently ran her fingers through Mamoru's hair as she stepped up to the back of the couch.

"I'm ready to go." She said softly.

"Where are you headed off to?" Kenji asked as he looked away from the TV. He had been home for a couple of hours, and there had been no mention that she was going anywhere.

"We're going to go check on something we discovered, and see what we can find out." Usagi said as Mamoru stood up and began to step around the couch.

"But you're not going to tell me where." Kenji said.

"No I'm not." Usagi said seriously. "Not even the girls know. We need to check on what we discovered in order to decide when or even if they will be told at all."

Kenji frowned but nodded.

"Don't worry. I won't be gone long since I still need to eat, and I want to try and take a nap before our training session." She said.

He nodded again, having been informed when he arrived home that she had training late that night and early in the morning. He was also aware of her intention to have a sleepover with her friends, her Senshi, since it made since for them not to separate for only a few hours just to get back together.

"Come on love so we can get this done as quickly as possible." Mamoru said.

Usagi nodded and they put on their shoes and walked out the door and down the sidewalk in a different direction than when they arrived.

The sun had gone down and it was growing dark, but it wasn't quite dark out yet. So they found a secluded spot and transformed, and Mamoru used their new mode of travel to take them to the rooftop of the building across the street from the library.

As the golden light cleared they looked around before focusing on the library. The lights in the building were on and there were people inside, so it was still open.

Mamoru concentrated as he tapped into his connection with the Earth to make sure Zoisite was in the library. He pictured him as he had looked earlier that day and focused on his name, the one he knew and the new one he apparently had.

Images flashed through his minds eye in rapid succession before slowing to a stop and showing Zoisite. He was dressed in the clothes from earlier and appeared to be standing behind a counter with a computer and books off to the side.

Mamoru nodded as he released his connection to the Earth.

"He's still inside so now we just have to wait for him to leave." He informed his princess.

"Okay." Usagi said as she crouched down. "Hopefully it won't be a long wait."

Mamoru nodded as he crouched down and knelt at her side; his eyes on the entrance to the library.

As the minutes passed the sky gradually grew darker and darker. They wished they knew when the library closed, but neither of them had thought to look when they had been there earlier.

People trickled out of the building as the minutes passed, in ones and twos, but over half an hour passed before some of the light went out and what looked like employees began to leave. As soon as Zoisite made an appearance they perked up and became more alert as their eyes followed him.

He walked down the sidewalk and they stood and began to follow him from the rooftops. He appeared to be walking to his destination, which they hoped was his home, and which they were glad for since it made following him easier.

Nearly a half an hour later Zoisite reached a building that looked like a nice four story apartment building. Again they knelt down and Mamoru tapped into his connection with the Earth and focused on Zoisite.

Images flashed through his mind as they did before and slowed to a stop on the figure of Zoisite walking up a flight of stairs.

Zoisite is going up a flight of stairs...and another. Mamoru reported as he continued to watch. Now he's walking down what appears to be a carpeted hallway, and he just stopped at a door. He said, and instinctively adjusted his view. It has 3B on the door.

Then it's definitely an apartment building. Usagi said.

Mamoru nodded as he watched Zoisite pull out some keys. He opened the door and stepped inside, and appeared to go about removing his coat and placing his keys down.

The light was on and Zoisite appeared to be talking but he couldn't hear. That appeared to be the only downside to the ability; no sound. That or he hadn't figured out how to do that yet. Instead he widened his view of the area around Zoisite, and gasped as he spotted who he was talking to.

Kunzite is there in the apartment with him. Mamoru said, and Usagi gasped.

They had wondered if the others were back as well, but it was a different matter entirely to have it confirmed; at least in the case of one. She quite clearly remembered Kunzite dying after having his own energy blades deflected back at him, and then having Metalia come exploding out of his body.

Well, that's two confirmed to be alive. Usagi said. Does it appear that they know each other? At least in terms of from before as generals?

I can't tell since I can't hear. They just look like I imagine roommates to look. He answered.

Usagi nodded and looked around as she kept a look out and made sure no one was paying them any particular attention.

I'm going to try and see if I can find Nephrite and Jadeite through my connection to the Earth. He said.

Good luck. She said, knowing there was no guarantee it would work.

Thanks. Mamoru said before he released his hold on his connection to start over before tapping into it again. He focused first on Kunzite to check if he could find him. If he could then it would be an assurance that he could find Nephrite and Jadeite if they had been brought back too.

He pictured his tall frame, white hair, and blue eyes, just as he had seen him sitting casually on the couch, and watched as images flashed rapidly. They slowed to a stop quickly to show Kunzite still sitting on the couch.

He then focused on Nephrite, picturing his long wavy brown hair, tall frame, and dark blue eyes. Again images began to flash through his mind, but quicker than he thought he was seeing him dressed casually and standing in what appeared to be a kitchen drinking a cup of something.

Satisfied with that he focused and pictured Jadeite's gray eyes and short pale blonde hair. Again images flashed but quickly stopped to show Jadeite as he remembered him as a dark general and as a guardian shittenou. Only now he was dressed casually and seemed to be walking somewhere.

Mamoru widened his view around Jadeite and saw to his surprise Nephrite standing off to the side in a kitchen.

I found them. They appear to be roommates just like Zoisite and Kunzite, He said as he watched Jadeite grab a pair of keys and open a door. and they also appear to be in the same building.

Jadeite just opened the door and it has 4A on it, and the carpet in the hallway looks identical to the one Zoisite walked down. Actually the entire hallway looks the same except for the numbers on the doors. He explained.

Wow. So they're all living in the same building. Usagi said. I'm curious about how that happened, but I know we can't find out without actually speaking to them.

Yes. Mamoru said as he watched Jadeite walking down a flight of stairs. What's important is that we know for sure that all four of them are back, they're alive, and appear to know each other.

Usagi nodded and looked down as movement caught her attention. The door to the building opened and out walked Jadeite as if he didn't have a care in the world. She caught her breath at the sight of him. He looked just as he did the last time she had seen him as a dark general.

They watched him until he disappeared around the corner.

We should go. We need to rest before we train later. Mamoru said as he stood up.

Usagi nodded as she stood up, she was hungry too.

I'll see you later. Rest well okay. She said, and he nodded.

I will. You rest well too. He replied.

I will. She said, and they both focused before they disappeared in flashes of white and gold light respectively.

Hours later...

Usagi turned over and turned off her alarm as soon as the sound penetrated her sleeping mind. She yawned as she sat up and blinked her eyes wide to help wake herself up faster. It was 11:30pm and she'd managed to get just under three hours of sleep, but it was better than nothing.

After she got back from her reconnaissance mission with Mamoru she had taken the time to pack some pajamas and some clothes for the next day since they also had training early in the morning. She'd had the forethought to sleep in her training clothes, so she wouldn't have to worry about changing and packing her pajamas.

After that she had eaten dinner with her parents and brother and gone straight to bed, hoping to fall asleep quickly.

She pushed her covers back and climbed out of her bed and stretched as she yawned again. She pulled her covers back to the top of her bed and straightened them roughly before she walked over and grabbed her duffel bag from where it sat on the floor in front of her closet.

She put it in her subspace pocket and easily concealed her hair color before she left her room and closed the door behind her.

Usagi walked down the stairs and waved at her parents, who were in the living room, and moved to put on her shoes.

"You're leaving now?" Her mother said.

"Yes." She said and yawned as she finished tying one shoe. "I'll be getting there a little early since we agreed on midnight but that's okay."

"Be careful." Her father said as he watched her put on her last shoe.

"I will." Usagi assured him. "I'll see you tomorrow; have a good night." She told her parents.

"Goodnight." Her parents said, and she focused on the park where she and the girls trained and willed herself there instead of leaving out the front door and running there.

White light flashed around her and it disappeared a moment later leaving her in the dark in the park. She was alone as she expected to be, and she'd only had enough time to release the concealment on her hair and summon her brooch when Mamoru arrived in a brief flash of gold light a few feet away from her.

"Hey you." She said.

"Hey yourself." Mamoru said as he stepped toward her. "Did you rest well?" He asked.

"Pretty good," She said as she nodded. "but I'm still trying to wake up from my nap. What about you?"

"I didn't manage to get to sleep but I did rest in the dark, so I should be good for training." He said.

Usagi nodded and calmly transformed in a bright soft pink light, and when it cleared she stood as Sailor Moon. Mamoru in turn transformed silently in a bright light red light, and when it cleared he stood as Tuxedo Kamen.

"Is there anything specific you want to work on?" Usagi asked.

"Not that I can think of." He answered. "You?"

"I want to continue where I left off in Elysion, but I want the girls to work on combination attacks." She said with a light frown. "With us being down a fighter I'm worried about the girls. Being incomplete will effect how we fight against the Cardians and those two beings; especially if for any reason you and I can't fight. There will only be three fighters."

"And that doesn't even count if more than one cardian attacks at the same time." She added.

Mamoru nodded as he took his top hat off and put it in his subspace pocket, but before he could reply Minako showed up already transformed into Sailor Venus.

"Hey you guys." Minako said as she reached them.

"Hi." Usagi said.

"Hey." Mamoru greeted.

"I plan on telling the girls about my parents knowing our secret. Not tonight, but soon." Usagi said, and Minako nodded.

"Why now?" She asked.

"Because Rei isn't on the team anymore, and I feel it's safe for them to know now. Plus, I told my parents I was going to have a sleepover with everyone after we finish training since we'll be right back at it in the morning." Usagi said.

"I told them I didn't know whose house we would use, and I mentioned that my house would be able to be used after I reveal that they know." She added.

"I understand." Minako said as she nodded. "You plan on staying with Mamoru." She added teasingly.

"Yup." Usagi confirmed without shame, and Mamoru nodded as Minako laughed lightly.

"Do you actually want to have sleepovers after this weekend?" She asked.

"Yes. I'm going to suggest it, and suggest that we switch houses each time to keep everything equal." Usagi said.

"That sounds like a plan. I like it." Minako said, and Usagi nodded. "So do you have any plans for our training?" She asked, and Usagi sighed and nodded.

"I'm worried about us being down a fighter, and how it will affect our fighting against the Cardians and those two beings." She said.

"I'm especially worried about what will happen if me and Mamoru can't fight for any reason, and I'm not even counting the possibility of more than one cardian attacking at the same time. Then there would only be three of you fighting." She explained.

"So with that in mind I want you all to work on combination attacks. We've worked on coordination to make sure our attacks hit the Cardians at the same time, but not combining our attacks together to create something stronger." She continued.

"I think we'll especially need that with us being down a fighter, and with the Cardians getting stronger." She said.

Ami and Makoto arrived already transformed nearly at the same time and Usagi repeated what she had just told Minako.

"I want Ami and Makoto to start with working on combination attacks, and me and Minako will practice with our swords." She announced.

"Can you use your roses to attack Makoto and Ami while they're working on their combination attacks?" Minako asked Mamoru. "So they can work on being aware of what's going on around them, which could include attacking Cardians or friendly fire."

"Attack us too since we need to work on being aware as well; me especially after what happened to me." Usagi added.

"No problem." Mamoru agreed as he nodded. "Keep a look out for my roses. There's no telling when they'll come."

The girls all agreed and they split up into different directions. The park was dark in some areas and in others there were street lights close enough to light up some of the area.

Usagi and Minako picked a dark area, and Makoto and Ami picked a lit area to start with. Mamoru, meanwhile, leapt into a tree and stayed where he was as he watched both pairs of girls. He would wait until they got started before he began launching his roses.

"I only have my Supreme Thunder attack to work with." Makoto said as they stopped in their chosen section.

"I think my Mercury Aqua Rhapsody attack will work best to combine with your attack." Ami said thoughtfully.

"Alright let's do it then." Makoto said, and Ami nodded.

They lifted their hands and launched their attacks almost at once. The lightning and streams of water launched forward, but they missed each other by a small margin.

They tried again and this time they managed to make the combination with Makoto's lightning crackling around Ami's water. They were satisfied but they knew it had been fairly easy because they had been standing next to each other.

"One more time before we move away from each other." Ami said.

Makoto nodded and the two of them lifted their hands and once again launched their attacks. Again the water and lightning streaked forward before they combined mid flight and slammed into a tree.

They nodded to each other and moved away from each other so there was a nice sized space between them. They raised their arms in preparation to attack only to be surprised by the pain of sharp roses sticking them.

They had known it was coming but not exactly when. They hadn't seen or heard anything; not the roses and not Mamoru.

Still, they bore the pain and continued to launch their attacks. Water and lightning streaking forward, but they cried out as they were once again pierced with the roses and unfortunately their aim was thrown off causing their attacks to miss each other.

They frowned unhappily but that was the point of his attacks. To make them more aware of their surroundings, so they avoided attacks and wouldn't be caught off guard and have their attacks disrupted.

Ami once again launched her Mercury Aqua Rhapsody attack, and moved away right afterward to avoid being a target. Makoto then launched her Supreme Thunder attack at the water attack before she too moved her location.

"I want to start with swords first, and then add our powers after a little while." Usagi said as they reached the area they had decided on, and Minako nodded.

"Are we going to announce when we're going to start using our powers?" She asked as she summoned her sword.

"No." Usagi said as she summoned her sword. "Just start if I haven't done it first. Our enemies certainly won't announce anything when they attack."

As soon as they stopped walking Minako attacked her princess, her sword lashing out in a sideways swipe. Usagi quickly brought her sword up and blocked it, despite the dark, before she pushed at Minako's blade and brought her sword up slightly and swung down at her.

Minako stepped back, avoiding the sharp blade, and swung at her princess' neck. Usagi allowed herself to fall backward and carefully rolled into a crouch before pushing off and rushing forward intending to plunge her sword into her stomach.

Suddenly she yelped as she was hit in the back with something sharp and pointy. A moment later she realized it was one of Mamoru's roses. She hadn't heard him or sensed the rose coming.

Still, she didn't let it stop her. She continued to run but Minako blocked her sword, pushing her blade aside as she stepped aside. Usagi spun around with the motion of her sword being pushed and swung down toward Minako's back.

Minako quickly stepped forward to avoid an attack on her back, and then just as quickly stepped to her left to avoid the rose she barely got a look at. Usagi made a sound of surprise as she spotted the flower headed toward her after Minako's move, and quickly adjusted her sword's angle and sliced through it before moving toward Minako.

However, she was stopped as more roses came her way. She dodged some and sliced through others, and then dove to the side as Minako fired off a beam of light at her.

She summoned her scepter in her left hand and immediately fired her Moon Scepter Elimination attack. Minako dodged the attack she had never seen before, and moved toward her princess as she in turned moved toward her.

They brought their swords up and their blades clashed together as they swung at each other and blocked the other's strike.

Again and again they did this, the sound of metal clashing against metal echoing around them, with the bright flash of their attacks moving through the air.

Eventually they switched things up and Minako put her sword away and switched places with Makoto. Minako began to work with Ami on combining her Crescent Beam attack with Ami's Mercury Aqua Rhapsody attack, and Usagi put her sword away and began to physically spar with Makoto while integrating their attacks.

Minako hurried toward Ami and launched her Crescent Beam attack before she dodged to the side, just getting out of the way of a group of roses she could barely see.

Ami launched her Mercury Aqua Rhapsody attack at the light beam before she jumped into a tree to avoid a number of roses streaking toward her. The only reason she could see them was because the light of their attacks provided enough light to see.

The water quickly wrapped around the beam of light and the combined attack slammed harmlessly into a tree.

After they finished sparring and avoiding each other's attacks Usagi and Makoto switched to simply combining their attacks. They combined Usagi's new Moon Scepter Elimination attack with Makoto's Supreme Thunder attack, and then switched it up to combine the lightning with Usagi's Infinite Moonlight Illusion Beam attack. And all the while avoiding Mamoru's roses.

A little later Makoto switched places with Ami so she could work on combining her Supreme Thunder attack with Minako's Crescent Beam attack, and Ami could work on combining her Mercury Aqua Rhapsody attack with Usagi's Infinite Moonlight Illusion Beam attack and her Moon Scepter Elimination attack.

When each pair was satisfied with their progress Mamoru rejoined them, and they began to work on combining their attacks with his.

He chose his Spinning Rose Evolution attack as the one that would work best with most of their attacks. He worked with Makoto to combine his attack with her Supreme Thunder attack, and Ami's Mercury Aqua Rhapsody attack.

After that he chose his Deadly Rose Petals attack to combine with Minako's Crescent Beam attack, and Usagi's Moon Scepter Elimination attack and Infinite Moonlight Illusion Beam attack.

Each combination was different but powerful and each time they practiced the combinations they worked to get them to work faster no matter how much they ran around to make it more realistic.

By the time they finished the last test combination it was just after two in the morning and they decided to call it quits for the night, so they could get some rest and be able to start again in the morning.

Everyone said goodnight and that they would see each other right back there in the morning before Ami, Makoto, and Minako took off running for their homes.

Mamoru and Usagi watched them for a moment before they came together and wrapped their arms around each other. Mamoru focused on his apartment, his living room specifically, and willed them there.

They disappeared in a golden flash of light and appeared inside his apartment a moment later. They took off their shoes and placed them by the door before they headed to his bedroom, and wasted no time changing into their pajamas.

They climbed under the covers and cuddled up together before telling each other goodnight, and eventually falling asleep safe in each other's arms.

Usagi watched from a rooftop in the middle of the night as her Senshi fought against a youma-like creature that looked like a cross between a wolf and the legendary Medusa.

It had the head and face of a white wolf, with glowing green eyes, but wiggling on its head between its pointed wolf ears were numerous green snacks. Its neck shifted from fur down to the pale skin of a feminine torso, thankfully covered in a fur halter top, and continued down back into the white fur of two back wolf legs.

It was an intimidating creature; more so since she couldn't tell if it really was a youma or a cardian.

Usagi watched, unable to move, as Mercury launched her ice bubbles at the creature. For some reason she could not move to help them. She couldn't even tell if she was transformed since she couldn't look down at herself.

Beyond her inability to move she also noticed that Mamoru was not there as Tuxedo Kamen. It was only Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter.

Venus launched her light laser-like beam at the creature and Jupiter sent her lightning bolt, but both attacks were dodged and the creature retaliated with a beam of green fire from each hand as well as from its mouth.

She watched on in frustration and worry. Upset that she couldn't move to help no matter how much she tried, and worried for their safety since there was only the three of them fighting. It was yet another reason to be angry at Rei's betrayal.

If she hadn't betrayed her and been obsessed with Mamoru then she would still be a senshi and there would four of them fighting.

Usagi knew after she had quit the team, from what Minako had told her, that they had struggled with youmas without her. Then there had been only the three of them before Minako had shown up, but even then they had trouble.

She knew they were her Senshi, and they would be worried about her getting hurt, but she did not want them getting hurt or overwhelmed because there were only three of them.

Right now they were fighting well and hard, but the creature was strong and the three of them looked like they were not enough. She could only be grateful that its Medusa-like appearance wasn't literal or the girls would have to worry about being turned to stone if they didn't watch where their eyes landed.

Suddenly she held her breath, her eyes widening, as she watched a stream of green fire head right for Mercury. She had just launched her water attack and hadn't had a chance to even move yet, however the creature had already dodged it and attacked in return.

The fire hit Mercury in the side of her face and she screamed in clear agony.

Usagi grimaced, unable to make a sound, as she watched Jupiter angrily launch a bolt of lightning at the creature that was countered with a stream of green fire. Almost at the same time Venus launched her beam of light, but that too was countered by a beam of green fire.

Suddenly the creature flung its hand out and surprisingly a green energy whip came flying out. It swung it around in a circle, causing Jupiter and Venus to duck under it, before it pushed off its back legs and jumped toward Mercury who was already on the ground distracted by her pain.

Venus and Jupiter scrambled to hurry toward Mercury as the creature soared down toward her.

Usagi blinked as she watched in horror, but suddenly everything slowed as if the scene before her was going in slow motion.

Jupiter and Venus continue to inch forward, the creature gradually descending toward their fallen fellow senshi, and Mercury began to twist and look up toward the creature baring down on her.

Usagi blinked and suddenly the fight scene was gone. No longer was she standing on a rooftop unable to move as she watched Venus and Jupiter hurry to Mercury's aid as the creature headed for her.

She was now standing in a familiar garden with white marble paths, the sky above pitch black with numerous white sparkling stars, and yet everything around her was well lit and perfectly visible.

In fact, despite the night sky it felt early in the day, and that feeling was proven by the activity around her.

Young ladies and young men, in their late teens and early twenties, walked and stood around mingling with each other. There were tables here and there with food and drinks fit for a lunch time gathering.

She blinked again and understood in that moment what was happening. She was hosting a luncheon on the Moon for the young royals of the solar system.

She turned her head forward and nodded as she stood speaking with the heir to the Mercury kingdom and brother to Sailor Mercury. He had short neat blue hair with the blue Mercury symbol gracing his forehead, and wore a royal blue and gold elegant uniform with a long royal blue cape and black tall boots.

She laughed lightly at something he said but before she could reply they both looked over to see a young woman in a red two-toned sleeveless gown approaching them.

She had wavy red hair that stretched halfway down her back with some pulled back with a turquoise ribbon, red eyes, and the red symbol of Mars on her forehead.

"Apollo; Serenity." She greeted in a quiet tone.

"Anaka." Serenity said as she smiled widely and greeted the young woman with a hug, which she returned easily. "How are you?" She asked as she pulled back.

"I am well if a little bored." Anaka replied, and both Serenity and Apollo nodded understandingly. "How are you?" She asked the Mercury heir.

"I am doing well." Apollo replied. "With my training and the many subjects I can read it is hard for me to get bored, but I understand how it can happen since it does occasionally happen to me."

Anaka and Serenity nodded in agreement.

"And you Serenity?" Anaka asked.

"I am doing well." Serenity answered. "Although, I wish this event was something more exciting such as a ball; a masked ball."

"You can still plan such an event or maybe I will plan one myself." Anaka said thoughtfully, and Serenity's eyes brightened.

"There is nothing to stop the both of us from planning one each." She said suggestively. "The more the better."

Anaka's eyes brightened as well and she looked as if she already had some ideas in mind. Apollo simply shook his head lightly at their want for balls.

"Have you seen your sister?" He asked the Mars heiress.

"I have." Anaka answered. "When I arrived, but I did not speak to her."

Serenity nodded in understanding knowing the sisters rarely spoke because they didn't really know one another. Sailor Mars had left home to be one of her guardians when she and Anaka were still babies.

And at least to her it seemed the older they got the less Mars tried to stay in contact with Anaka.

Serenity couldn't quite understand that. She thought having a sibling would mean someone to naturally be friends with. She would love to have a brother or sister even though it would mean one more person to hide her relationship with Endymion from.

Sunday: Day Seven

Early Morning

Usagi's eyes snapped open at the sound of an alarm going off, and she felt shifting behind her before the sound thankfully stopped. She stretched as she shifted onto her back.

Naru is the reincarnation of the princess of Mars. Was the first thought to pop into her mind.

Why did I dream of that all of a sudden? She wondered, and then it occurred to her why in the next moment.

It was possible for Naru to become Sailor Mars, because she had been reincarnated. It could work since she had Martian DNA buried inside her. She was clearly worried about her Guardians being incomplete and vulnerable with Sailor Mars no longer with them, and this could very well be the solution to that problem.

"What's up?" Mamoru asked quietly as he sat up since he was too groggy to focus on her thoughts.

"I dreamed of a memory of the princess of Mars. She was sister to Sailor Mars, and Naru is identical to her." She answered as she looked at him. "I think because of that it's possible for Naru to become Sailor Mars."

"Wow. That's surprising." He said as his eyes widened slightly. "For now how about you focus on the training session, and then afterward we'll talk it out since I also need to talk about what to do with the generals."

"Okay." Usagi said as she sat up. She stretched her arms up into the air and then relaxed and pushed the covers back and got out of bed.

She thought back on her dream before it shifted into a memory. It was a random made up event, but she did get something out of it. Not only did her Senshi need to be complete, they needed to be able to handle fighting without her and Mamoru.

If she truly needed protecting for any reason, such as being too hurt to fight or unconscious, then she obviously wouldn't be fighting. They would have to deal with a threat on their own as they were supposed to be able to as her Guardians.

And they should be able to. She thought quietly. I am only Sailor Moon because I chose to be. My Queen mother intended for me to be, but it was still my choice to rejoin the Senshi. And Mamoru is Tuxedo Kamen to protect me while I fight.

The Senshi had been down to literally only three fighters before and it hadn't gone well. Although, she acknowledged that they had gotten better considering they had taken on that escaped cardian without her and Mamoru.

But then again Rei was not fighting with them, so perhaps they had been more efficient without her. She considered thoughtfully.

Usagi nodded to herself as she began to change into her training clothes. They were more efficient without Rei, but she still wanted them to train hard.

And that was what she was going to make sure they did.

Afternoon

Mamoru and Usagi had both showered, changed, and eaten after returning to his apartment from their morning training session, and now they were ready to turn their minds toward the serious issues they had been putting off thinking about until they had uninterrupted time.

Usagi had already asked Minako to come over after she had changed and relaxed, so she figured the discussion about Naru becoming Sailor Mars could wait until she got there.

"What are your thoughts on the guys?" She asked as she shifted herself, turning on the couch to face Mamoru.

"I'm still surprised they're alive." Mamoru said as he shook his head slightly. "Since Zoisite didn't recognize us I wonder if I should approach the guys and help them remember, and possibly get my guardians back." He added, and she nodded.

"What's your first thought on having them back as your guardians?" Usagi asked.

"If I want to bring them back into that life." He answered. "They'll be back to fighting, risking their lives. Do I want to take them away from their normal lives?" He listed and sighed heavily.

"What do you think?" He asked.

"I think you should have your guardians back." She answered readily. "After we remembered our true identities and our past I wished you could have your guardians back to make things equal between us."

"However, I knew they couldn't be saved. One had disappeared as far as we knew and one was dead, and the two that were alive were clearly not interested in changing sides." She explained. "This is an opportunity I didn't expect, but it's one I think you should take advantage of if it's possible."

"I briefly had a similar thought," Mamoru said as he nodded. "but I put it out of my mind since Zoisite and Kunzite were part of the Negaverse and the others were dead as far as I knew."

"Now I'd like them back, but what if they don't want to be my guardians again? And can I look pass the fact that they were brainwashed in the past, and were part of the Negaverse in the present?" He continued.

"Then you need to decide if you can look pass it before you do anything." Usagi said seriously. "I think in terms of being dark generals of the Negaverse that can definitely be overlooked since they weren't your guardians, hadn't even known you."

"As for the past, perhaps you need to learn exactly what happened to cause them to be brainwashed. Maybe knowing will help you move pass it." She suggested. "As for them wanting to be your guardians again, all you can do is ask if they want that responsibility again once they remember."

Mamoru nodded and thought his princess had a point. He needed to know how they had been brainwashed in the past. Once he knew he should be fine since he knew they wouldn't have turned on him otherwise, and the events in the present could be overlooked.

After all, it might have been a situation like with Usagi and how Luna had approached her and told her she was Sailor Moon. Maybe the guys were approached and told they were generals of the Negaverse, and with no memories of the past they had no reason not to believe it.

I think it ultimately comes down to whether or not the guys will want to be my generals again. He told himself.

"I'm going to go ask Helios for his opinion." He said eventually, and she nodded.

"Good luck." Usagi said.

Mamoru kissed her and then stood and willed himself to Elysion. A flash of golden light later and he was standing among the vibrant red and fragrant roses. He turned and spotted the white shrine and began to walk toward it.

As he walked the door opened and Helios stepped out and began to move down the stairs as he looked toward him. He idly wondered how Helios always knew when he was there.

"Hello." He said as he stepped out of the sea of roses onto the tiled ground.

"Greetings Prince Endymion." Helios said as he joined him.

"I've come because I hope to get your advice on a situation that's recently come up." Mamoru said.

"Of course. What can I do to help?" Helios said, and Mamoru sighed.

"I've discovered that the men who were my guardians in the past are now alive after having been killed as dark generals with our last enemy. Now I'm considering if I should reestablish my Guardian Shittenou, but I'm not sure if I should." He explained. "I've only seen one of them face to face, and he didn't appear to recognize me and he's going by a different name."

"You are unsure if you should disrupt their normal lives and bring them into the life of fighting." Helios concluded calmly.

"Yes." Mamoru agreed as he nodded. "They're just regular normal people now; they don't have to be worried about fighting and protecting and keeping secrets." He said, and the young-looking guardian nodded slowly.

"It should be the decision of the men if they want to accept the responsibilities you mentioned or not. If they are willing then you should indeed reestablish your Guardian Shittenou since you deserve and need your own guardians." Helios said.

"Thank you for your advice." Mamoru said as he nodded. "I'm going to do it. Now I just need to figure out how to do it."

"You are very welcome, and I am sure you will come up with a satisfactory solution." Helios said.

"Thanks. I'll see you next time." Mamoru said.

"Farewell." Helios said.

With that Mamoru pictured his apartment and the space next to his balcony and willed himself there. A flash of golden light later and he was back inside his apartment. Usagi was still sitting on the couch where he had left her, so he returned to his seat next to her.

"How did it go?" Usagi asked.

"Helios said I should go ahead and make the guys my guardians again if they're willing, and that I should leave the decision in their hands if they want the responsibility of our secret life." He explained, and she nodded.

"Does that mean you're going to go through with it?" She asked.

"Yes, but I don't know how I'm going to do it." He replied.

"That's understandable." She said, and he nodded.

"Okay the situation with the guys has been taken care of as far as it can, so we can talk about your idea of having Naru become Sailor Mars." Mamoru said. "You said you remembered Naru being in the past."

"Yes. She was heiress of Mars and apparently wasn't close to her sister." Usagi said.

"Who was Sailor Mars." Mamoru said.

"Yes." She confirmed. "Since Sailor Mars left home when she was a baby they had kept in touch, but as they grew older Sailor Mars kept in touch less and less until it became rare that the sisters spoke."

"So because Naru is the reincarnation of the princess of Mars she has the DNA inside her to make it possible for her to become Sailor Mars." Mamoru said as he nodded.

"Yes." She said as she nodded. "That's what I'm thinking."

"I think it's a good idea, especially since you already know her and she's a friend. Plus, Minako, Makoto, and Ami already know her, and of course I know her." Mamoru said, and she nodded.

"It seems to be a perfect solution, but I worry about asking her because the role of senshi is to protect me with her life. Plus, there will be fighting supernatural beings. If Naru agrees she won't have those fighting instincts like the others. She'll be like me; having to build her fighting instincts and learn combat." Usagi said.

"I don't know if I want to put my best friend through all that. To bring her into such a hard and secretive life." She said.

Mamoru nodded, understanding her concern. She'd had it hard before she quit the team, and had to work hard in order to be satisfied with her skills enough to go back out to fight again.

"I think Naru will make a great replacement. She would fit well into the team." He said. "I know if Naru becomes a senshi you'll train with her, and I'm more than willing to train with her as well so she can gain the necessary instincts and skills to fight and be safe."

Usagi nodded gratefully. She definitely would train with Naru, and she was glad that Mamoru was willing to as well. And she also thought Naru would fit in well with the girls. She and Minako got along well, and she and Ami and Makoto were civil and friendly. They could all work with that and build a true friendship and trust from there.

"What if she doesn't want to be a senshi when she realizes she used to be princess of Mars? What if she doesn't want to go from being next in line to rule a planet to protecting me?" She asked with a worried frown.

"I think that, like my situation, you should leave that up to Naru. Tell her the truth about her past and lay it all out for her, so she can make an informed decision, and then let her make that decision." He advised her.

Usagi nodded but before she could reply there was a knock on the door. Mamoru got up and answered it, and it turned out to be Minako.

"Hi." She said.

"Hey. Come on in." He said before he closed the door, and led her to the living room and resumed his seat next to his princess.

"Hi." Usagi greeted, shifting around to face her as she sat on the side chair.

"Hey there." Minako said. "So what's up? What did you want to talk about?"

You go first. That way you can get a second opinion. Mamoru told Usagi.

Okay. She replied.

"I remembered something last night and it gave me an idea. As second in command of my Senshi I want your honest opinion." Usagi said seriously.

Minako's eyes widened but she simply nodded and remained silent as she waited with curiosity.

"Basically I dreamed of a memory of me speaking with the prince of Mercury and the princess of Mars. The princess of Mars looked identical to Naru." She explained, and Minako gasped and Usagi nodded.

"I think Naru was obviously reincarnated, and because of that she can become Sailor Mars and complete the Sailor Senshi. What do you think?" She asked.

"Wow. I know the Senshi can't be replaced, but this changes that. If Naru has the DNA of Mars inside her then she really can take on the role of senshi of Mars." Minako said. "I get along well with her, and I believe Ami and Makoto are fine with her. I think we'll all be able to get along well and work well together."

"Okay." Usagi said as she nodded. "I would like Naru as one of my senshi. It would be nice if my best friend knew the truth about me and could be included. I'll ask her, but it will be her decision since it will be a huge change in her life."

Minako and Mamoru nodded and Usagi looked back to him and he nodded.

"It's my turn." Mamoru said as he looked to Minako, and she blinked in surprise. "So Usagi discovered a guy that looked like Zoisite and we recently confirmed that he is in fact Zoisite, and more so all of the other guys are alive as well."

He further explained that Zoisite hadn't recognized either of them, and that the guys all lived in one building and seemed to know each other. Or at least judging by the way they were living Zoisite and Kunzite knew each other and Nephrite and Jadeite knew each other.

"After thinking about it carefully I've decided to try and get them back as my guardians, and I want to know your thoughts as a friend and as second in command of the Senshi since you'll be fighting with them if they agreed to join me." He said.

Minako was shock and surprised at this turn of events. The Dark Generals were alive; the Guardian Shittenou were alive! She had seen Zoisite and Kunzite killed with her own eyes, had been told that Nephrite died, and Jadeite had simply disappeared and was never heard from again.

But they were alive now, and clearly living in the city with them. She trusted Usagi and Mamoru to know if it was truly them. And Mamoru wanted to try and get them back as his guardians and obviously have them join the Senshi in fighting.

"This is beyond shocking, but it's starting to settle." She said slowly. "Umm...as your friend I think it's a good idea to get them back as your guardians if it can happen. You deserve to have someone solely watching your back and even guys you can talk to and relate with."

"As second in command of the Senshi I also think it's a good idea since that will give us more fighters out there, but I'm wary because of their role in all of our deaths in the past and being dark generals in the present." She continued with a slight frown.

"Trust will have to be built. Something that's going to take time, but it's time we don't have with our current enemy trying to gather energy." She concluded, and he nodded.

"That's understandable. And I want them back, but I'm going to need to build that trust with them as well." Mamoru said, and Usagi and Minako nodded.

"Now all we have to do is inform the others of our decisions." Usagi said, and Mamoru and Minako nodded. She lifted her wrist and pressed the blue and green buttons for Mercury and Jupiter.

"Ami here."

"Makoto here." The two answered quickly.

"I want to have a meeting as soon as possible. Are either of you busy?" Usagi asked.

"No I'm not busy." Makoto said.

"Neither am I." Ami said. "What about Minako and Mamoru?"

"They're both with me." Usagi answered.

"Where's the meeting going to be?" Makoto asked.

"I don't know. Does anyone have a preference?" Usagi said.

"We can use my place since we'll need to have it somewhere and obviously Rei's place isn't available anymore." Makoto volunteered.

"Is everyone okay with that?" Usagi asked, and everyone agreed. "We'll start the meeting as soon as everyone gets there."

Everyone agreed again and she ended the connection.

"Are Artemis and Luna at your house?" Usagi asked Minako.

"They are." She answered as she nodded.

"Can we go pick them up on the way?" Usagi asked as she looked to Mamoru.

"Yeah, no problem." He agreed.

With that the three of them left the apartment and took the elevator down to his car in the parking garage. They got in and made the drive to Minako's house, and she went in and got the two cats before they headed over to Makoto's place.

15 minutes later...

Usagi, Minako, Mamoru, Makoto, and Ami sat comfortably around Makoto's living room with Artemis and Luna sitting on the coffee table.

Usagi looked around at everyone and briefly paused on the felines. She was going to be watching Luna's reaction to the revelations and decisions she was about to hear to see if she had changed any.

She didn't know if Artemis had talked with her, but she assumed at least some talking had occurred since she had been living in Minako's house. Still, she didn't know if Luna had changed her way of thinking yet, so this would give her a clue.

"I called this meeting for a number of reasons, mostly to inform you of some revelations and decisions that have been made and that you now need to be made aware of." Usagi said seriously.

"First I want to inform Ami, Makoto, and Luna that my parents know the truth about us. Have known since the day the Negaverse was defeated." She continued as she looked to each of them.

Luna, Makoto, and Ami's eyes widened in surprise and shock. The questions flowed through their minds quickly. How did that happen? Why did it happen? How did her parents react? What were they like now?

Luna stared at Usagi in shock. She had told her parents her secret. Had they found out, and that was why she had told them? How could she be so irresponsible?! She supposed she should be thankful her brother didn't know!

She opened her mouth to speak but felt Artemis' tail flick against her and she looked over to see him staring at her angrily. Her mouth snapped shut, and she quickly back tracked on her thoughts.

Her first reaction was to blame Usagi for letting her parents find out her secret when she didn't even know if that was what happened. And then she had been ready to berate her. Already she was ashamed of herself. She hadn't even waited for an explanation. If not for Artemis she likely would have gotten herself in trouble.

"What happened? Why did you tell them?" Ami asked.

"Yeah. Did they see something?" Makoto asked curiously.

"Do you remember how Kunzite broadcasted that message in the sky and how we agreed to meet up at the Starlight Tower?" Usagi asked, and they nodded. "Well, my mom tried to stop me and wasn't pleased when I wouldn't listen to her."

"Obviously while we were out dealing with Kunzite my dad came home, and my mom would have told him. So I knew that when I got home I would be in trouble for leaving against my mom's wishes; and with Mamoru on top of that." She continued.

"So I decided to just tell them the truth, so I wouldn't have to deal with any punishments or them trying to keep me and Mamoru apart. On top of that they had been noticing things happening with me that I couldn't explain; like the pain I had been in when Mamoru was captured." She explained.

"Mamoru, Minako, and Artemis agreed to come with me and help me explain, and it went well for the most part." Usagi said with a light shrug. "They were angry when we arrived and disbelieving when we told them the truth, but after transforming and showing them proof they were believers."

Ami and Makoto nodded in understanding, pleased that it had gone well when it likely could have been much worse. Luna on the other hand was surprised, and even more ashamed at her initial reaction.

Usagi hadn't done anything wrong. Her parents hadn't even found out. She'd had no choice but to tell them if she didn't want to face consequences she didn't deserve for simply doing her duty.

Luna held in a sigh. Clearly she needed to work more on herself and her thinking if her first reaction to something like this was to blame and berate Usagi.

"Do they know everything now?" She asked. "And how are they handling it after all this time as passed?"

"They do know everything." Usagi said as she looked to Luna. "They know all about you and Artemis, about the girls being senshi, and about me and Mamoru being princess of the Moon and prince of the Earth. They're aware that we are fighting a new enemy, and are even aware of the situation with Rei and what has been done about her."

"As for how they're handling it; they're handling it just fine. They are accepting and full of questions. It's definitely easier to go about my training and go out to deal with attacks with them knowing. I don't have to sneak around or lie to them." She concluded.

At least for the most part. She added silently. Remembering that she had just lied to them so she could spend the night with Mamoru, and of course they knew nothing about the exact nature of their bond or anything about their physical relationship.

"Wow. I'm glad they took it well and are still taking it well." Makoto said, and Ami and Luna agreed.

"Thanks." Usagi said. "Now this brings me to the next thing I want to discuss. I had the idea that if we can we should have sleepovers on the weekends; Saturday night after our training since we would see each other that night and in the morning as well."

"We can switch houses every weekend, so we could all have a turn hosting." She suggested.

"I like that." Makoto said. "You all know I have no one that will mind or interrupt us." She added as she gestured around the space in general.

"I don't mind. I think it will be fun and another way for us to bond. My mom is usually at the hospital, so there won't be any problems when we need to leave for training." Ami said.

"I'm fine with it, and I agree that it's another way for us to bond." Minako said. And we need it. She thought silently; knowing that Usagi was still trying to build trust with Ami and Makoto. "My parents won't mind at all."

"Alright, then that's what we'll do." Usagi said.

"Are you going to be part of it?" Minako asked Mamoru curiously.

"That's up to you all. I don't mind participating or hosting if you want me to. Now that Rei's not a factor I don't mind having meetings at my place or in this case hosting sleepovers." Mamoru said. "I've never had a sleepover before." He added in amusement.

All the girls looked at each other and started to smile and nod.

"Alright." Usagi said. "It will be all of us participating, and if you don't mind I'd like next weekend's sleepover to be at my house. We'll be able to speak freely and be ourselves for the most part. We'll just have to be careful of my little brother since he doesn't know the secret. He wasn't ready when I told my parents and I'm still not sure if he's ready."

Everyone agreed to that without a problem. They thought it would interesting to not have to worry about what they could and couldn't say or if they needed to leave for an attack quickly they wouldn't have to explain.

"Okay, the next thing I want to talk about." Usagi said before she took a small steadying breath. "Last night, after we parted after training, I recalled a memory of speaking to the prince of Mercury and the princess of Mars."

"The princess looked identical to Naru, and I realized that Naru was reincarnated. This gave me the idea that Naru can become Sailor Mars since she has Martian DNA buried inside her." She explained.

"I've been thinking about it and considering it since I woke up this morning, and after running it by Mamoru and Minako and getting their opinions I've decided that I'm going to speak to Naru and ask her if she wants the responsibility of being a senshi." She informed them seriously.

Luna, Artemis, Ami, and Makoto were stunned. They had all heard it repeated over and over again that the Senshi couldn't be replaced, and they knew they couldn't because of their unique DNA.

But this was different. If Usagi was right then Naru, as the reincarnated princess of Mars, had the right DNA. This wasn't just a random girl being picked to replace Rei. This could work.

"I like the idea." Ami said, breaking the stunned silence. "I think Naru would fit well into the team. We all know her and she knows us, so it wouldn't be a case of anyone needing to get to know anyone. We would just have to build teamwork and get her comfortable." She said, and Makoto nodded in agreement.

"I think she would make a good Sailor Mars." Makoto said as she nodded in agreement with Ami. "I know Naru can work well in a group from class and is a team player." She added.

What she didn't say was that she thought Naru would be a better Mars than Rei had been.

Artemis had recovered from his surprise as he listened to Ami and Makoto. He refrained from looking at Luna through it all. He thought it was the height of irony that the girl Luna thought had the potential to be evil or dark and would betray Usagi had turned out to be the reincarnated heiress to the throne of Mars.

And the perfect replacement for Rei. He thought in satisfaction.

"I think it is an excellent idea. I have heard nothing but good about the young woman, and I know she is a loyal friend of Usagi's. That loyalty will do her well as a senshi considering what her main duty will be." Artemis said.

"Minako what do you think?" He asked as he looked to her.

"I like it. I get along well with Naru, and think we would all get along and work well together." Minako said easily, and he nodded.

"What are your thoughts Mamoru?" He asked.

"I completely agree with Usagi's decision. Naru will make a great replacement." Mamoru said firmly. "I like that she's already a friend, and knows all of us so she should be comfortable with us."

Artemis nodded and finally looked to Luna; wondering what she would say.

"Clearly I was wrong about you needing to stop spending time with Naru and keeping your distance." Luna said to Usagi. "If you had done that well, you still would have remembered Naru being the reincarnated Mars Princess, but you would have a harder time trying to get her to speak to you let alone to join the Senshi."

"Clearly Naru is a good friend and loyal to you, so I think she would make a good senshi." She added.

Usagi nodded, but she hadn't missed Luna's first reaction to learning that she had told her parents her secret. Artemis had obviously stopped whatever she was about to say, but it had clearly been in her mind to likely disapprove.

She would see how she reacted to Mamoru's revelation and decision.

"I'll speak to Naru soon, likely tomorrow, and see what happens." She said. They all nodded, and she looked to Mamoru before looking back to everyone else. "Mamoru has something he wants to inform you of as well." She added, and Mamoru briefly ordered his thoughts as everyone looked to him.

"The night Usagi was injured she discovered a young man that looked familiar among the victims." He began. "He apparently looked like the dark general Zoisite, and we later confirmed that he is in fact the same guy. And further more that the other three generals are alive as well."

Makoto, Ami, Luna, and Artemis gasped at this revelation and what it could mean that the Dark Generals were back.

"Zoisite didn't appear to recognize either of us when we managed to get face to face with him and he is going by a different name." He continued. "We discovered that all four guys live in the same apartment building, but we're unsure if all of them know each other. Zoisite appears to be living in the same apartment as Kunzite, and Jadeite is rooming with Nephrite."

"It's obviously shocking that they're alive and appear to be well, but what you don't know and what the purpose of telling you this is that these same generals were my Guardian Shittenou in the past just as you ladies are Usagi's Guardian Senshi." He explained.

The others gasped again at this further revelation. This was beyond shocking! Not only were the Dark Generals of the Negaverse somehow alive, but they had been Mamoru's Guardians in the past.

"That being said, after careful consideration I have decided I want them back as my guardians, and if the guys are willing to take up that responsibility again then that is what will happen." He informed the group.

"How are they even alive?" Makoto asked. "We saw all but Jadeite die."

"We think it's a result of us using our crystals to clean up after Metalia was defeated. They were likely brought back to life just as you all were. Only where you were brought back like nothing had happened, fully aware of what was going on, we think the guys might have amnesia or had returned to the life they had before the Negaverse got to them in this life." Usagi explained.

"Well, I imagine we're going to have to get to know them, build trust and teamwork, almost like with Naru, but I think it will be a good thing to have them around. The more fighters the better." Ami said. "And I think it will be good for Mamoru to have guardians, so what happened with him being kidnapped doesn't happen again."

"Not that it will happen now that Rei's no longer around," Makoto said as she nodded in agreement. "but one can never know with our enemies."

Minako nodded in agreement. "I like that there will be more of us fighting in case we have to be split up for any reason. Like when Usagi went to the Negaverse alone." She added.

Luna and Artemis listened carefully, surprised by this turn of events but accepting since it wasn't their decision to make.

Artemis thought this was a good thing. The more fighters the better, and even better that Mamoru would have guardians to watch his back so what happened with him being kidnapped wouldn't happen again. He never wanted to see Usagi in such pain again.

Beyond that he thought it was yet another irony that Luna had thought Naru had the potential to be dark because she had feelings for a dark general, and he turned out to truly be one of the Earth Prince's guardians.

Luna held in a sigh as she realized she had been wrong about something else. She had believed Naru could turn on Usagi and potentially become an enemy because of her feelings for one of the dark generals.

Then she finds out all at once that Naru was the reincarnated Mars Princess, and the guy she had developed feelings for was a reincarnated guardian of the Earth Prince.

She needed to stop making assumptions and stop looking at situations as a worse case scenario. She needed to see Usagi as her princess and not an immature girl, and see Mamoru as not simply her boyfriend but a prince and her soulmate and bondmate. She needed to start trusting and having faith in her and Mamoru like everyone else clearly did.

"I don't know when or exactly how I'm going to approach the guys, but I'll let you know how my first attempt goes." Mamoru said.

They all nodded knowing now that it was just a matter of wait and see to find out if Naru would agree to join the Senshi as Sailor Mars, and if the former Dark Generals would agree to take on their past responsibility of guarding the Earth Prince.

Monday: Day Eight

Late Afternoon

Usagi closed her eyes and held in a sigh as Mamoru drove them to her house. In the car with them were Minako and Naru, and both were quiet likely lost in their thoughts.

After the meeting the day before she had asked Minako and Artemis to help her with explaining things to Naru, and they had both agreed. Artemis was likely already at the house and they had just picked up Minako.

She opened her eyes and looked out the window. She was nervous since she had no idea how the conversation would go or how Naru would react. It didn't help that she didn't expect Naru to answer right away; in fact she didn't want her to answer so quickly. She wanted her to really think about it, so she would be sure of her answer.

Everything will be okay. Mamoru said. I expect Naru to be surprised and shocked, but I also expect her to agree after she finishes thinking about it.

Do you really think so? Usagi asked.

Yes. He said. I don't know why exactly; it's just a feeling I have.

So I should try to relax and not worry about it unless I get a negative answer from Naru. She said.

Pretty much. He replied, and she huffed in amusement but she did relax.

The worse that could happen was Naru could say she didn't want to be a senshi. If nothing else her best friend would know the truth about her.

Naru held in a sigh as she gazed out the window at the passing scenery. Usagi had asked her during lunch if she had any plans after school, and when she replied that she didn't her friend had said there was something she wanted to speak to her about and if she would come home with her.

She had agreed easily since she really had nothing to do, so after school she had followed Usagi out to Mamoru's car and climbed into the backseat.

Usagi said that they were going to pick up Minako on their way since she and Mamoru were also going to be part of the talk, and that was exactly what they did and now they were headed to Usagi's house in silence.

It wasn't a tense silence but it wasn't comfortable. She had been curious and hadn't at all been worried about whatever it was that Usagi wanted to talk about, but now knowing that it would also involve Minako and Mamoru and with this uncomfortable silence in the car she was beginning to grow slightly concerned.

What could they possibly want to talk about? She supposed she was about to find out.

Mamoru pulled up outside Usagi's house and parked along the curb before he turned off the engine. Everyone piled out and he made sure the doors were locked before they headed toward the front door.

Usagi let them all in and they slipped out of their shoes and greeted her mother before Usagi directed them up to her room. She herself went into the living room and toward her mother.

"I don't know how long we'll be talking but I don't want us to be disturbed." She informed her, and her mother frowned.

"Is everything alright?" Her mother asked.

"Everything is fine, but I plan on telling Naru the truth about us and asking her if she would like to take on the responsibility of being Sailor Mars." Usagi said.

"Oh wow!" Her mother said in surprise, and then nodded. "Good luck."

"Thanks." Usagi said as she smiled lightly then she turned and headed upstairs to her room. She entered and closed the door behind her as she took in where everyone was positioned.

Mamoru was standing next to the balcony close to her nightstand, Naru was sitting on the side of her bed closest to the door, and Minako and Artemis were sitting on the end of the bed off to the side near her floor desk.

Usagi moved forward and climbed onto her bed in front of her pillows and sat with her legs crossed. She sighed and straightened her skirt over her legs as she looked to Mamoru.

No worries. He said as he nodded, and she looked to Minako who shifted around until she was facing her with her legs curled up on the bed. Minako nodded firmly and smiled. She then shifted her gaze to Artemis and he nodded just as firmly.

"Okay." Usagi said as she looked to Naru. "I asked to speak to you because I have something very important to tell you and to ask you. Mamoru and Minako know about it already and I've asked them to be here to help me explain and to answer any questions you have."

Naru nodded as she looked to each of them before looking back to Usagi. None of them looked worried or tense, so she just waited to see what this was all about.

"Do you recall back, last year, when you were attacked in her mom's jewelry store?" Usagi asked.

"Yeah; there's no way I could forget." Naru said as she nodded.

"In that case, I want to tell you that I was there that night; I was the one who saved you." Usagi said.

"Saved?" Naru said as she frowned, and then she gasped as her eyes widened as it clicked what her best friend was saying. "Are you saying you're Sailor Moon?" She asked.

"That's exactly what I'm saying." Usagi said seriously. "I was made a senshi only minutes before I arrived to help you by a talking black cat named Luna. She told me that I was the senshi of the Moon and that it was my duty to fight the creatures, youmas, like the one that attacked you, endangering people."

"I was also to protect the city and the planet from the dark organization sending those youmas out, the Negaverse, and to find others like me; that were senshi and didn't know it. Further more, once I found my fellow senshi we were to find the Moon Princess and protect her." She explained.

Naru stared at her best friend in stunned surprise. She was claiming she was really Sailor Moon; the same Sailor Moon that had saved her in her mother's jewelry store, and the same Sailor Moon that had been fighting those strange creatures that had been attacking all over the city, both last year and this year.

The same Sailor Moon that Nephrite wanted me to find the true identity of. She thought.

"You're really Sailor Moon?" She asked in a quiet hesitant tone.

Usagi climbed off the bed and glanced to Mamoru, who had just finished closing the curtains to her balcony. They were pretty sheer, but it was enough to give privacy to anyone looking toward her window from outside.

"Moon Crystal Power, Make Up!" She said calmly as she touched her brooch, where it sat on the bow on her uniform top. Instantly she was surrounded in a bright soft pink light, and when it cleared she stood as the senshi of the Moon.

Naru's eyes widened. It had been a long time since she had seen Sailor Moon up close, but there was no denying that it was her and that she looked different.

Her hair was the color of moonlight and silver, white feather clips sat in her hair above her bangs, her earrings were a dangling combination of gold five point stars and crescent moons, and a pendant hung from the center of her choker just beneath the crescent moon.

Aside from that her outfit was the same from the sailor suit, to her gloves, to her tall boots.

"Wow." She said as her eyes settled on the brooch. It was the same one she always wore on her uniform top and it was in the same place; in the center of the bow on her chest.

"You knew this already? She told you already?" She asked as she looked to Mamoru and Minako.

"She didn't have to tell us because we're involved as well. I've been with her since that first fight as Tuxedo Kamen." Mamoru said.

"I was a senshi before Usagi but I wasn't in the country. I was known as Sailor V, but once I joined up with the others I started going by Sailor Venus." Minako said in turn.

Naru blinked her eyes in surprise and watched as Minako pulled an orange pen literally out of nowhere as she stood.

"Venus Power, Make Up!" She said and was surrounded in a bright flash of orange light.

When it cleared she stood in an orange and white sailor suit, but her hair and eyes were a different color; her hair was a golden-yellow and her eyes were a yellow-orange.

Naru looked over to Mamoru. He didn't pull anything out of the air, touch anything, or say anything. He was just instantly surrounded in a bright light red light, and when it cleared he stood as Tuxedo Kamen.

Full black tuxedo, crisp white shirt and vest, a white mask that framed his eyes and white gloves, a black top hat, and a black and red cape that stretched all the way down his body and nearly touched the floor.

"Okay. You are who you say you are. It's unbelievable, but the proof is literally right before my eyes." Naru said as she looked around at them.

Her friends were sailor senshi and her best friends boyfriend was Tuxedo Kamen. If she wasn't seeing it she wasn't sure she would have believed it.

Usagi and Minako sat back on the bed and Mamoru leaned against the wall next to the balcony; all of them remaining transformed.

"After that first fight it was just me and Mamoru fighting by ourselves for a while, and then I discovered Sailor Mercury who is actually Ami, and not long after that Sailor Mars was discovered who was Rei, and a while after that Sailor Jupiter was discovered who is Makoto." Usagi said.

Naru's eyes widened at the revelation. Usagi's friends were sailor senshi too! The two girls she had been coming to know and growing more and more friendly with were Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter.

And her eyes widened as she realized the girl she hadn't been interested in knowing, who Usagi had ended her friendship with recently was Sailor Mars. Or was since she had caught the past tense in the simple revelation.

"Do you recall that time when I wasn't getting along with Ami, Makoto, and Rei and I was out of school from being sick?" Usagi asked.

Naru nodded; she remembered that because it was still around the time when Usagi had pulled away from her for the most part.

"It was during that time that I quit being a senshi." Usagi revealed.

Naru's eyes widened, and she listened as Usagi explained that they had begun to criticize practically her every move and habit as a senshi and outside being a senshi.

So much so that they had made her feel like a liability and would get someone hurt or killed. On top of that she had realized her power and abilities diminished as each senshi was discovered making her lose what confidence she had, which also made it harder for her to fight and ignore their mean words.

She then listened as her friend continued on saying that during the time she was home sick and Mamoru was visiting her he had discovered that she was Sailor Moon and revealed that he was Tuxedo Kamen to her.

"That not only helped us grow closer and start dating, but it lead us to discover that we were past royalty; that I was the Moon Princess the Senshi were suppose to find and he was the Earth Prince that no one had known about." Usagi explained.

Naru's eyes widened yet again in her surprise. Her best friend was this Moon Princess the Senshi were suppose to find and protect. It was absolutely shocking and even harder to believe than that she was a senshi, and Mamoru was a prince that no one had known about.

"Are you really..." She said, letting her words trail off in her speechlessness as she looked from Usagi to Mamoru.

Usagi began to get off the bed, but Mamoru began to glow with a golden light. Moments later Usagi began to glow with a white light, and both flashed brightly before they cleared to leave them looking more different than before.

Usagi wore a beautiful white dress that looked like it was made of silk and a golden crescent moon sat on the middle of her forehead. Mamoru wore a navy blue uniform and silver armor, and still wore his cape and had what looked like an actual sword on his hip.

"I am Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom and the Silver Millennium." Usagi introduced herself softly.

"I am Prince Endymion of the Golden Kingdom." Mamoru said regally.

"Wow." Naru said as she gazed at them, turning her head back and forth between them. Usagi looked beautiful and more mature, and Mamoru looked handsome and commanding.

"Okay. Let me see if I got this all straight." She said. "Usagi, Minako, Makoto, and Ami are sailor senshi, Rei is no longer a senshi, and Mamoru is Tuxedo Kamen. Usagi is also the princess the Senshi were supposed to find and Mamoru is a prince that no one knew of." She said, and they all nodded.

"You got it right." Usagi said as she released her royal form and returned to her senshi form; Mamoru doing the same, and returning to his tuxedo.

"What's your connection? You and Mamoru I mean since no one knew of him, and why are you as the Moon Princess so important that you needed to be found and protected?" Naru asked, frowning slightly.

"First you need to understand that we were all reincarnated from a long ago past where there was life on all the planets in our solar system. Each planet had their own kingdom and royalty and society. We refer to this time as the Silver Millennium, which was a time where everyone existed in peace and harmony." Usagi explained.

"The royalty of the Moon wielded and guarded the Imperial Silver Crystal, which was a powerful object that could be used as a weapon and as a means of healing among other things." She continued.

"Meaning it could heal an entire planet; as in restore the lives of the dead, regrow plant matter, restore ruined man-made objects to their original pristine condition, bind evil and darkness, and destroy them both." She explained further.

"Even though only the royalty of the Moon could use the crystal there was always the possibility that if the crystal got into the wrong hands they could somehow make it work. That's a lot of power they would have to work with to do their bidding." She continued.

"Me as the current wielder and guardian needed to be found and protected to keep me from being kidnapped and forced to use the crystal for evil purposes or when I didn't know I was the princess I could have been kidnapped and brainwashed and used it willingly for those evil purposes." Usagi explained.

"Worse case I could have been killed, and if the crystal was found by the wrong people there would have been no one of the royal moon line to get it back and prevent it from being abused." She added.

Naru's eyes widened in surprise. That actually sounded kind of scary, and from her wording her friend actually had this silver crystal, which meant that those things could still happen to her just because she had the crystal.

"As for me and Mamoru's connection, we were in a secret relationship in the past. Relationships between those of the Earth and Moon were forbidden, but once we met and the feelings came there was no keeping us apart no matter how forbidden." Usagi explained.

"We learned soon after remembering our past that we were soulmates, so that's likely part of why we didn't care about it being forbidden back then." She added.

"Why were relationships forbidden between your planets?" Naru asked.

"We were never given a reason but we have recently come to believe it was because those of the royal Moon line lived longer lives than those of the Earth." Mamoru said. "What no one knew was that I was different, possessing my own powerful crystal made me much longer lived."

"You have a crystal too; just like Usagi's?" Naru asked as her eyes widened.

"Just like hers except mine is golden." He confirmed, and she nodded; awed.

"So I caught the bit about Rei not being a senshi anymore." Naru said as she looked back to Usagi. "How did that happen? Was it the same time you ended the friendship?"

"No." Usagi said as she shook her head. "It was actually more recent than that. I ended my friendship with her because of all the things I told you about before, but then you have to add in her behavior as a senshi."

"The Sailor Senshi's main duty is my protection first and foremost, and then fighting the bad guys and keeping the city and planet safe. Rei had been underperforming as a senshi when it came to respecting me and protecting me." She explained.

"She was also obsessed with Mamoru and that began to show during fights with our enemy. The last straw was only days ago when we had been in a late night fight. I had specifically asked everyone to watch my back while I checked on the victims, and instead of doing that Rei was too busy trying to get close to Mamoru, which left me completely open to be hit in the back with an attack." She explained.

Naru gasped in horror, and Usagi nodded grimly.

"I was pretty bad off from what I was told, but thankfully Mamoru was able to heal me and make it so it was like nothing had happened to me." She said.

"In addition to that betrayal Rei had the audacity to claim she had forgotten I was behind her, and then when I confronted her the next day she didn't appear to be all that sorry." She continued.

"So I removed her as one of my senshi. As far as Rei knows she has never been a senshi before and knows nothing about us beyond what others in the city know." She said with a shrug.

Naru put a hand to her mouth as she listened to her friend. She was clearly fine. Naru had never even had an idea that her friend might have been injured, but her words of 'from what she had been told' meant she was injured so badly that she must have been unconscious.

Beyond that horrifying piece of her friend's reality she was surprised there was no Sailor Mars anymore. She wondered how that would effect things with the Senshi and the fighting.

She watched as they all released their transformations, leaving Minako and Usagi back in their school uniforms but Usagi with her hair the color of moonlight and silver.

"So a black cat named Luna made all of you senshi, well except for Minako since she said she wasn't in the country." Naru said before she looked to Minako. "How did you become a senshi?"

"I was actually the one to make her a senshi." Artemis answered, speaking up for the first time.

Naru made a surprised sound and jumped up off the bed as she stared at the white cat.

"My apologies. I didn't mean to startle you. My name is Artemis, and I am Luna's counterpart. We are guardians and advisors to the Senshi." He said. "And to answer your question we met back in England and I informed her of her identity and duty as a senshi there."

Naru simply nodded as she slowly sat back on the bed. She couldn't believe a cat was talking to her. Usagi said that was how she had been made a senshi, and she wondered if she had been just as shocked and startled to hear a cat talking to her.

She shook her head to shake herself out of her surprise, and looked back to Usagi.

"What about your hair color?" She asked, and the looked to Minako. "And eyes too?"

"After we became senshi our DNA began to change back to what it was in the past on our home planets. Our physical appearance was the last to change, and that happened only a few days after I joined the team." Minako said.

"The others look different as well, but we conceal them everyday so no one will know." Usagi added.

Naru nodded thinking that was interesting, and considering which girl was which scout she wondered how they looked with their particular color in their hair and eyes.

She looked back to Minako and, remembering the color of her hair and eyes, thought that while looking the same she had also looked different, but it wasn't a bad different. The color worked on her. She then looked to Mamoru and saw that he didn't look different than she was used to.

"I was from the Earth, so I look exactly as I did in the past already." Mamoru said as he smiled lightly.

Unknown Location

A male with long light blue hair lay stretched out on a large thick green raised root as he stared up at reddish pink leaves. He sighed lightly as he imagined the face of the girl he couldn't get out of his mind. Didn't want to get out of his mind.

He had now seen that she really did have a boyfriend, and that he appeared to be older than her. She looked happy with him, but he didn't care. He liked her. He thought they would be good together; he just needed her to give him a chance.

He sighed again as he pictured her face in the leaves above him. Her long hair, beautiful eyes, and gentle smile.

The last time he had spoken to her was on Thursday when he had seen her with her boyfriend. He could tell from what she said that she had remembered his disbelief of her actually having a boyfriend, and wasn't interested in sticking around to talk to him while she was with her boyfriend.

Even before that she had told him she wasn't interested in getting to know him, but he wouldn't give up. He wanted her in his life. He just needed to get her to change her mind somehow. That way when she did get to know him, she would like him and return his feelings, and then he could tell her the truth about him.

He may not have spoken to her in days, but he had seen her. On Friday he had watched her from after as she had lunch with her friends as was her habit he was coming to realize. After school he had seen her get into the same car she got into on the day he saw her for the first time, and today she had gotten into the car again but this time one of her friends had joined her.

He had not been close enough to see who was driving, but he strongly suspected it was her boyfriend.

He groaned, not wanting to think about her boyfriend in any sense, and pulled out his flute and closed his eyes as he began to play a soothing melody to calm and relax him.

Long minutes passed before he sensed a presence near him. He opened his eyes to see his companion sitting next to his head looking up at the leaves of their tree.

If he was being honest with himself she was just as beautiful as the girl on his mind with her long pink hair and dark hot pink eyes. He was glad she was with him, and knew she always would be.

He ended the melody and lowered his flute as he watched her look down to him.

"How about we get some energy?" She said, and he smirked in reply.

He pulled out a hand full of tarot sized cards and fanned them out to make it easier to pick. She hummed thoughtfully and flicked a finger at the cards, and they watched as one from the middle of the formation raised up into the air.

He put the remaining cards away and lifted his flute to his lips and began to play. A different soothing melody began to drift through the air. It was lifting, ebbing up and down, as it echoed in the massive room.

The card began to glow and grew brighter as the melody continued, and soon began to stretch larger with limbs pushing out and stretching until a humanoid figure floated in its place.

The pink haired female gestured up with her hand and a round portal opened to show a bright blue sky. The blue haired male stopped playing and lowered his flute.

"Go and collect energy." He ordered the figure.

"Seiren." The figure said softly in a feminine tone before it sailed through the portal.

The portal closed and the male lifted his flute and began to play another beautiful melody.

Meanwhile...

"I'm telling you all of this not just because I want you to know, but because I have a request for you." Usagi said, bringing Naru's attention back to her. "I remembered only a short time ago that we actually knew each other in the past."

"Back in the...Silver Millennium." Naru said as her eyes widened.

"Yes. You were the second born princess of Mars, and your name was Anaka. You took on the position of heiress when your older sister became Sailor Mars and guardian of the Moon Princess." Usagi said.

"We had been friends, being royals and close in age gave us something in common. The Senshi were royal, but they had become warriors and had different duties then I did." She explained.

"That being said I wanted to know if you would consider becoming one of us; to becoming the senshi of Mars?" She asked.

Naru's eyes widened and her jaw dropped in shock. What?! Become a senshi?! She thought in shock.

"Being a senshi is dangerous. We're like the police and firefighters; instead of running away from the bullets and the fire they run toward them. The Senshi run toward the strange creatures and strange happenings." Usagi stated.

"I know this is a serious thing I'm asking of you, and I don't expect you to answer right away, and I don't want an answer right away anyway. I want you to take your time and think about it." She continued seriously.

"I'm aware that there are many things that might make you not want to be a senshi. Like the fact that you were a princess in the past and might not want to go from that to being a guardian senshi to one instead." She said. "Of course the only way it is even possible for you to become the senshi of Mars is because you were not just a princess but also from that planet."

"There's also the fact that you don't know how to fight. If you agree then you would actually be like me when I first became Sailor Moon. I didn't know how to fight and didn't have those instincts, because I wasn't a warrior in the past." Usagi explained.

"I want you to know that won't be a problem if you decide to be a senshi. You wouldn't be fighting right away. We would train you until you were comfortable and ready to be out there fighting." She assured her.

"I...I don't...don't know what to say." Naru stuttered.

"That's okay." Mamoru said. "It's a lot to take in, and a serious thing to be asked. Like Usagi said, you should take your time." He added, and Usagi nodded.

"Ami and Makoto know I was going to tell you all of this and ask you to be one of us, so if you want to talk to them about it then they're available to you." She said. "My parents know as well, so if you want that perspective then they're there as well."

"Does your brother know?" Naru asked.

"No. I'm still not sure he's ready. I only told my parents because it was either the truth or be punished for going out and fighting. I'll explain that situation another time if you want to know." Usagi said, and Naru nodded slowly and looked to Minako.

"Do your parents know?" She asked.

"No. Only Usagi's parents know, and I know that only the circumstances at the time forced her to tell them at all." Minako answered.

Naru nodded again and opened her mouth to speak, but stopped as three beeping sounds echoed at once in the room. She watched them all lift their wrist and reveal watches she had seen each of them wearing before. She watched as they opened the cover and pressed a button and spoke into them like they were phones or walkie-talkies.

"Usagi here." She said.

"Mamoru here." He said.

"Minako here." She said.

Then a voice that she recognized as Ami's came through clearly saying that there was an attack with only one cardian energy signature. Whatever that was. Was it like the creature that attacked her in her bedroom?

"What's the location?" She heard Usagi ask.

"At a water fountain in a downtown plaza." She heard Ami say, which she thought was a strange location.

"Me, Minako, and Mamoru are together, so we'll meet you and Makoto there." She listened to her best friend say. "Usagi out." She said in the next moment and closed the cover of the watch-phone.

"I'm sorry we're running out on you after telling you such a large secret and asking you such a huge thing, but we really have to go." Usagi said as she got up.

Naru nodded and watched as Minako and Mamoru moved around the bed and headed for the door. She was surprised that this was happening while she was here; but it just further impressed on her that what she had been told was the truth.

"I don't know how long this is going to take us, so you don't have to stay if you don't want to. You can take the time to talk to my mom or you can talk to Artemis and get his impressions. Whatever you want." Usagi said as she stepped toward he door.

"If you're not here when we get back then I'll call you later and let you know that we're fine." She added, and Naru nodded.

"Be careful you guys." She said, and they smiled.

"We will." Minako said before she opened the door.

They then rushed out of the room in the blink of an eye; leaving her alone with a talking cat.

.:xXx:.

Sailor Venus ran along a rooftop with Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen on their way to the fight scene. They had transformed as soon as they found a subtle location and took off running.

They had just come from a charged meeting with Naru learning their secret and being asked to join them, but although she wanted Naru to be one of them she wasn't a senshi yet so she put the matter from her mind and focused on the coming fight.

The three of them quickly moved down to the ground as the buildings around them began to become taller the further they moved into the downtown financial district. They ran around a corner and down the block before they slowed to a stop to see people lying around on one side of a large fancy gushing water fountain.

Across from them on the far side of the fountain and to the side of the people on the ground were Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mercury, and between them and the newly arrived trio of fighters was the unmistakable figure of a cardian.

Like the others it was a female and looked like a mermaid with long dark pink hair, pale skin, yellow and black eyes, blue scales covering its arms stretching down over its fingers and over its chest, and a matching blue tail with a scattering of gold scales that it was somehow standing on and able to move on considering the slight trail of water leading a few feet from the fountain.

"Seiren." She said quietly with a slight frown as she looked around at the Senshi and Tuxedo Kamen. Then she began to shed golden particles from her tail, and they quickly began to float through the air toward the fighters.

Mercury immediately launched her Mercury Ice Bubbles at the particles coming toward her and Jupiter. The cool bubbles streamed toward the particles and easily froze them causing them to fall to the ground like a trickle of tiny pearls.

Venus launched her Crescent Beam at the particles coming in hers, Sailor Moon's and Tuxedo Kamen's direction blasting them away from them and seemingly vaporizing them from the air.

Sailor Moon summoned her scepter and Tuxedo Kamen pulled out a hand full of roses and threw them at the cardian. Right after that Sailor Moon aimed her scepter at the cardian and launched her attack.

Infinite Moonlight Illusion. She thought, sending silver blue tinted crescent moons streaking out and in every direction before converging on the mermaid cardian.

"Seiren." The cardian said before she opened her mouth and shot out a continuous stream of water at the flowers coming her way. Then she jumped up and spun as she rose higher and blasted the energy crescent moons away.

Supreme Thunder. Jupiter said internally as she stepped forward, aiming for the water streaming out of the cardian's mouth. The bolt of lightning hit and instantly traveled up the stream and into the cardian's mouth.

"Seiren!" The cardian screamed in agony as her body spasmed and jerked erratically before she fell from the sky.

Mercury Aqua Rhapsody. Mercury thought as she lifted her hands sending streams of water streaking toward the cardian's falling form.

"Seiren!" The cardian cried out in pain as the attack slammed into her but it cut off abruptly as she hit the ground.

Sailor Moon lifted her scepter again and channeled her Infinite Moonlight Illusion Beam attack through it, and sent a white beam with silver blue tinted crescent moons inside it toward the downed cardian.

Moments after her Tuxedo Kamen launched his Spinning Rose Evolution attack sending a red energy beam of rose petals at the cardian.

The two beams merged and became a silvery purple tinted mix of crescent moons and rose petals as they streaked toward the mermaid cardian.

"Seiren!" The cardian screamed in the middle of pushing herself up as the combined attack hit her, and blasted her across the ground and away from the water fountain and downed people.

"Seiren!" The cardian yelled in anger as she pushed up off the ground and flew into the air. She opened her mouth and shot out a continuous stream of water down at the fighters moving her head back and forth to reach them all.

They all watched the cardian attack and carefully dodged, and then attacked in return as soon as the stream of water had passed them by.

Crescent Beam. Venus thought sending the light beam streaking through the air up at the cardian.

Spinning Rose Evolution. Tuxedo Kamen thought as he launched his red beam of rose petals up toward the cardian.

The red beam collided with the orange beam, and they combined into a thick yellow beam of rose petals that streaked toward the cardian.

Mercury Aqua Rhapsody. Mercury thought as she sent streams of water streaking up toward the hovering cardian.

Supreme Thunder. Jupiter thought as she sent her attack a moment later to combine with Mercury's attack causing electric charged streams of water to speed toward the cardian.

Just as the cardian was turning back to attack in Mercury and Jupiter's direction their combined attack hit it.

"Seiren!" The cardian screamed as she was blasted back and electrocuted. "Seiren!" The cardian screamed again as she was hit with the combined beams from Venus and Tuxedo Kamen before she could react anymore to the first attack.

Sailor Moon aimed her scepter at the cardian as it fell. She hoped to be able to finish it off before it could rebound and attack again. Not to mention it would be the best time to test out her scepter against an actual enemy and not just in practice.

Moon Scepter Elimination. She thought as soon as it hit the ground. The now familiar pink and blue swirls of light streamed forward with white crescent moons and blue stars in the middle.

"Seiren!" The cardian screamed again as pain clearly coursed through her body before her figure started to glow. The scream cut off moments later and she began to shrink as she continued to glow.

Smaller and smaller it compressed and constricted until the glow cleared and all that was visible was a tarot sized card. The mermaid image on it slowly disappeared leaving the card blank.

"Is everyone okay?" Sailor Moon asked as they all came together, and everyone confirmed that they were.

"The downed people have had their energy returned, so they should be waking up soon." Mercury added.

"In that case we should leave and return to what we were doing." Sailor Moon said.

Everyone agreed and split up as they dashed away. Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Kamen, and Sailor Venus returning to the Tsukino household, and Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter returning to their apartments.

Akira's POV

Evening

Akira waved goodbye to his fellow employees as he walked toward the exit of the library and pushed a door open and stepped outside before beginning to make his way down the sidewalk. He was hungry and couldn't wait to get home and find something to eat.

As he walked his mind unexpectedly began to reminisce back on the last year. Life was so different then it used to be, better, but still very much different.

After the police and social workers came to him and the three guys he had been in a hospital room with they learned from the police that all they could do was get their pictures and see if they matched any missing persons since they all clearly had amnesia.

The social workers on the other hand spoke to them about what they were going to do with their lives in terms of living situation, work, and school.

One of the social workers helped them pick out names for everyday use, and he had ultimately chosen Akira, his current roommate and friend had chosen Kiyoshi, and their other two friends had chosen Tadaaki and Shusuke.

After that all four of them went through a series of tests to determine their intelligence level and any skills they had, which helped to discover what interested them.

They were all fairly smart and were informed that they could test out of the school system, especially the younger of them that would still be in school at their age, which as far as they could tell was him and Tadaaki. They were then informed as a result they could take the tests to get their high school diploma or the equivalent, so they could take college and university classes if they were inclined.

With that information they had decided to live together since they didn't know anyone else and were familiar with each other from being in the hospital together, and that they would hold off on trying to attend school.

However, they took the tests the social worker recommended and decided to focus on working, so they could afford to buy themselves the necessities when their temporary funding to help them eventually stopped.

He had found work at a public library, and Kiyoshi and Tadaaki worked at a dojo together. Kiyoshi taught weapons and Tadaaki taught martial arts. Shusuke managed to somehow land a job at the planetarium much to his excitement since it gave him the opportunity to work on many astronomy related things; one of the things they discovered that interested him.

After they were finally allowed to leave the hospital they ended up living in a small two bedroom apartment. It wasn't big enough for the four of them to live even a little comfortably. The two bedrooms weren't even big enough to fit two twin sized beds, but it was what they had been given to get them started in their new lives.

They all decided immediately that they would save and pool their money and move to a bigger place or at least find a place that had two two bedroom apartments available. That way they could split themselves in half and have their own bedroom yet still live in the same building together.

And that's exactly what we did. Akira thought as he walked down a sidewalk.

Just weeks ago they had finally determined they had enough collectively saved up, and found a fairly nice apartment building with two apartments available. They were on different floors of the building, but the apartments themselves were a nice comfortable size and they each had two bedrooms.

They were as content as they could be given their situation. They didn't remember anything from before they woke up in the hospital, but they had names they were comfortable with, jobs they liked, and now had living conditions that were acceptable.

Akira blinked as he looked up from stepping around a slightly raised crack in the sidewalk and paused in his steps as he saw a tall masked man standing silently in his path.

He wore a full black tuxedo with a crisp white shirt and vest, a white bow tie, and shiny black shoes. Attached to his shoulders was a black and red cape that stretched down the length of his body, white gloves, a white mask that framed his eyes, and a black top hat.

He recognized him, but he didn't know his name. He looked intimidating and mysterious.

"You're the guy that fights along side those sailor girls." He said as he slowly stepped closer, and the man nodded.

"I am Tuxedo Kamen." He said.

"Were you there when I was attacked a few nights ago? In front of the library?" Akira asked hesitantly.

"I wasn't there when you were attacked specifically, but I was there afterward with the Sailor Senshi to fight the creature that attacked you." The masked man said. "I usually have nothing to be pleased about when those creatures attack, but on that occasion I was pleased because it let me discover your presence."

"My presence?" Akira said questioningly as he moved a few steps closer, and watched Tuxedo Kamen nod and smile gently.

"Yes. We knew each other a very long time ago, and I want us to know each other again." Tuxedo Kamen said.

Akira blinked in surprised confusion. What did he mean they used to know each other? He thought he would remember having met such a mysterious man, but he sounded so sure. Could he be right?

Considering what he'd been through it was entirely possible, and he simply didn't remember like he didn't remember his life.

"If you really knew me some time ago then do you know my name?" He asked, and the masked man nodded.

"I knew you as Zoisite." Tuxedo Kamen said.

Akira's eyes widened slightly. "That sounds like a strange name." He said.

"It may sound strange, but you owned it and wore it proudly. And rightly so since it is a proud and noble name." Tuxedo Kamen countered, and before Akira could react in any way to that he continued. "Will you trust me? Will you come with me so I can prove that I do know you?"

Akira's eyes widened and he began to breath quickly. He wanted proof, but he didn't know this masked man. Of course he didn't know anyone besides his friends, but his heart was almost racing as if it knew something he didn't.

He unconsciously put his hand up to his chest. He felt fearful, uncertain, anxious, and curious. He looked into the masked man's eyes, and saw in the blue shade calmness, patience, and gentleness.

His heart stopped racing and his feelings settled into calmness. With that he made his decision; for better or for worse, and stepped forward until he stood in front of the masked man that claimed to have known him.

"Where to?" He asked.

"To a sacred place you had never been to when we knew each other, but for this purpose you can come because I don't want others to see what I'm going to show you." Tuxedo Kamen said.

Akira breathed in a deep breath. "Okay. I'll trust you; let's do this." He said.

"Thank you." Tuxedo Kamen said and reached out and put his hand lightly on his shoulder. "Relax and remain calm."

In the next moment Akira flinched and was blinking as a flash of gold light startled him. It surrounded them to the point where he saw nothing but the mask man, and when it cleared he found himself in a strange yet calming place like nothing he had ever seen.

Mamoru took a breath as he pulled his hand away from Zoisite's shoulder. Step one was complete. He had approached Zoisite peacefully and had managed to get him to Elysion safely and without having to knock him unconscious or kidnap him.

Good job. He heard his princess say softly as he watched Zoisite look around in awe.

He had decided he would approach Zoisite on his own to have the best possible chance of having a peaceful encounter. Usagi had accepted that but he knew she was monitoring his thoughts and emotions, so she would know what was happening.

Now it was time for step two; prove to Zoisite that they had known each other. Step three would be to help Zoisite remember who he was.

Akira stared at the vibrant red roses that stretched as far as the eye could see in every direction he turned. It was incredible and the smell was even better; soothing.

"Now what?" He asked quietly as he looked back to Tuxedo Kamen.

"Now I'll show you proof that we knew each other, and then we'll go from there." Mamoru said.

Akira nodded and watched in wide eyed surprise as a golden crystal appeared above the man's gloved hands and floated there, sparkling like a diamond. He watched him close his eyes and a few silent moments later golden light flared from the crystal and spread out around them.

He squinted his eyes and when the light cleared he gasped to see they were in a different place entirely. The sea of roses was gone and even the dark non-sky was gone. They were now standing in a large quiet elegant hallway just at the entrance a few feet away from where it turned into another hallway.

The walls were white accented with elegant golden borders near the ceiling, floor to ceiling arch windows of clear and stained glass, and a black marble floor with white starburst that reminded of the night sky.

Here and there he could see silver suits of armor standing tall, and tapestries hanging of beautiful scenes and symbols hanging on the walls.

"We're still in the sacred area with the roses, but I'm projecting a memory in a way that makes it seem like we're actually in it." He heard Tuxedo Kamen say as he looked back to him.

Akira's eyes widened in understanding and he nodded as he looked around. That was a unique and interesting ability to have.

Then he gasped as he saw a tall guy round the corner. He had short black hair and deep blue eyes and wore a navy blue uniform and silver armor with a black and red cape and a sword on his hip.

He walked right pass them and continued down the hallway and somehow they were following him without moving. It took him a few moments but it suddenly clicked that that man was the guy next to him; they had the same hair and eyes. Tuxedo Kamen was this tall elegant commanding man in a uniform and armor.

He moved down two more hallways and eventually stopped at a door and knocked sharply.

"Come in!" A voice called, and the man did just that.

He opened the door and stepped inside, and Akira gasped at the sight that met his eyes as they moved into the room.

There sitting on an elegant couch holding a book with a leg crossed over the other was himself. He had the same long wavy blonde hair pulled back into a low ponytail, the same green eyes, and the same smile.

He wore a uniform like the man that was Tuxedo Kamen, but it was a different design and color. Still, he looked just as elegant as Tuxedo Kamen's other self.

"Your highness." His look alike said. "What can I do for you on this fine day?"

"Would you care to go riding with me?" Tuxedo Kamen's look alike asked.

"You do not even have to ask Endymion." His look alike said as he quickly put his book down and got up. "It has been a while since I rode my girl."

"It is the same for me." Tuxedo Kamen's look alike, Endymion, said laughingly. "Let us go Zoisite, and have some fun."

"I am coming." Zoisite said as he hurried and joined him before they walked out of the room, Zoisite closing the door behind them.

Akira blinked as the scene faded away with the closing door leaving them back in the place where the roses were.

"That was us. You're Endymion." He said as he looked to Tuxedo Kamen.

"Yes." Mamoru said and shifted to his royal form with barely a thought as he continued to hold his crystal. Golden light surrounded him for a few moments before it cleared leaving him in the uniform and armor he wore as the prince of the Earth.

Akira's eyes widened. He looked identical to the version of him in the memory, and gave off the same feeling of elegance and command.

"I remember my life as Endymion, and I want you to remember your life as Zoisite." Mamoru said. "Will you allow me to bring forth the memories locked within your soul?" He asked.

Akira's eyes widened yet again and he gasped. He would recall that memory for himself if he let him do it. He would recall all of that life as Zoisite if he let it happen.

He looked into Tuxedo Kamen's eyes, Endymion's eyes, and still felt that calmness he had inspired earlier.

"Okay. Do it. I want to remember that life." He said.

Mamoru nodded; Zoisite would remember more than that if this worked right.

"Very well. All you have to do is stand here and relax." He told him.

"Okay." Akira said, and watched as Tuxedo Kamen closed his eyes. Within moments the crystal began to pulse and brighten before golden light flared out.

He closed his eyes against the brightness and took a slow deep breath.

Remain calm. He told himself. He was trusting this man to do what he said he was, and secretly hoping it somehow was able to help him remember his present life too.

He felt warmth surround him and in the next moment it sank into his body and moved around as if searching. From his head to his finger tips to his toes he could feel it filling his body. It was nice and comforting, but just as he was wondering if anything else was going to happen his mind was suddenly flooded with a tsunami of information.

Images flashed of places, locations, people, faces, and creatures. Sounds, words, names, phrases, thoughts, and feelings.

It was all so much, crashing and swirling around his mind looking for a place to settle. It was overwhelming and would have been scary if he wasn't still feeling calmness and warmth.

It was so confusing, but then everything began to settle and suddenly it began to make sense. He was Zoisite, nobleman and warrior, guardian shittenou to the heir to the throne of the Earth, Prince Endymion.

And his present name actually was Akira. Somehow he had managed to pick his true name out of hundreds of names.

He moaned as he brought his hands up to the sides of his head, and collapsed to his knees as he remembered being brainwashed and betraying his prince in the past, and more horrifying was the fact that the same evil had gotten to him again in the present and made him a dark general.

He had fought against his prince, fought against the Guardian Senshi, fought against Princess Serenity! He'd done so much more he could hardly stand it!

Mamoru pulled his power back and stored his crystal away inside him as he silently thanked it, and watched Zoisite kneel on the ground with his hands on his head.

He knew it worked and this was Zoisite reacting to his returned memories. Clearly he was realizing the worst of them, but it was necessary if he was going to once again stand at his side.

Zoisite lowered his hands and opened his eyes as he looked up to his prince, who was also Tuxedo Kamen in this life.

"I'm sorry; so very sorry." He said.

"You remember?" Mamoru asked; just to be completely sure.

"I remember everything." Zoisite said with a groan. "Being brainwashed in the Silver Millennium and betraying you, my present life and being brainwashed again, fighting against you, capturing you, being killed at the hands of Princess Serenity, and somehow coming back to life with no memory of anything before waking up in the hospital."

Mamoru nodded and thought that at least it was confirmed now that they had been brought back with amnesia.

"I'm glad you remember all of who you are since I know what it's like to not remember." He said.

"Thanks." Zoisite said with a slight smile.

"Do you want to be one of my guardians again?" Mamoru asked.

"Yes." Zoisite said instantly.

"Are you sure?" Mamoru asked. "Things are different even from what you remember from when you were a dark general."

"I don't care." Zoisite said seriously. "I know I need to get to know who you are in this present time, but you will always be my prince Endymion; I will always serve you. It is my duty and my honor and time will not change that."

Mamoru nodded. "Very well. I happily accept you." He said before he sat down. "Now I'll fill you in on everything that happened after you were killed up until the present."

Zoisite nodded and listened intently as his prince began to inform him of what he had missed after he died. It was definitely informative and surprising, but things didn't really start getting interesting until he began to be told and understand the backstory of the events that had happened while he was a dark general.

Tuesday: Day Nine

Morning

Naru's POV

Naru walked down a sidewalk, her school and lunch bags in hand, on her way to school lost in thought.

Yesterday had been eye opening and surprising. Usagi, her best friend, was Sailor Moon and her boyfriend was Tuxedo Kamen. Minako, who was fast becoming a close friend, was Sailor Venus, Ami and Makoto were Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter respectively, and the Hino girl that Usagi had parted ways from used to be Sailor Mars.

The girls had been made senshi by two cats, Artemis and Luna, and Mamoru had become the masked man because Usagi had become a senshi.

Not only that but Usagi and Mamoru were royal. The other senshi were royal, but Usagi was the more important because she had a powerful crystal that could effect planets and revive the dead. And Mamoru was her soulmate but he was just as important as Usagi, because he too had a powerful crystal. His just hadn't been known like hers though.

And on top of all that Usagi had asked her to become a senshi, to become Sailor Mars, and join their group. Something that was only possible because like them she had been reincarnated, and apparently lived on Mars; was the heiress to the Mars kingdom.

She hadn't made a decision yet because she honestly didn't know. She had taken Usagi's advice before she left the house to think, and had spoken to Mrs. Tsukino and Artemis after Usagi, Minako, and Mamoru left to go fight a creature.

Artemis had told her that he thought she would make an excellent senshi, and that he would answer any questions she had for him. So naturally she had asked him about what a senshi was supposed to do.

Usagi had said they were to protect her as the Moon Princess, and protect the people and the city but she wanted to hear what he thought.

He told her that the most important duty of the Senshi was to be guardians and companions to Usagi. To guard, protect, and defend her as well as be an attendant, ally, and friend to her. Aside from that they protected the people, the city, and the planet because this was their princess' home, their home, and they needed to keep it safe.

Naru liked that he had clarified and defined the role more. It definitely helped her to understand more. After that she went and spoke to Mrs. Tsukino, and got her point of view as a parent to a senshi.

She learned that Mrs. Tsukino was proud of her daughter but also scared for her. Knowing that Usagi had been out there fighting those strange creatures and still was, putting herself in danger, was hard to accept.

It was a daily choice for her and her husband to accept the fact that it was their daughter's life and nothing they said or did would change it. Instead of letting fear get the better of them they asked questions and learned all they could, and Usagi did what she could to help that by answering their questions and letting them know she was safe when she had to run out to go fight.

She was aware that only circumstances at the time forced Usagi to reveal her secret life to them and that she wouldn't have told them otherwise, but she was glad to know no matter how fearful she became for her daughter's safety.

Naru had been glad for Mrs. Tsukino's view of things. She thought her mom and Mrs. Tsukino were similar in personality, and that her mom would likely react the same way but she didn't think it was something she would tell her if she didn't have to.

Still, it made her think of what could happen if she accepted the role of being a senshi. She would have to sneak out if there was an attack late at night, and might spend more time away from home than she did at present. She would even likely have to start lying to her mother.

Naru sighed. Talking to Mrs. Tsukino and Artemis had helped her understand more about being a senshi and what it would be like in terms of her mother not knowing.

Since that helped I'll speak to each of the girls individually to get their perspective of being a senshi before I make my decision. She thought as she made it to school.

She entered the main building and headed up to her classroom. A quick look around when she arrived showed her that of those she wanted to speak to only Ami was there.

"Hi Ami." She greeted her as she walked toward her.

"Good morning Naru." Ami said in return as she looked up.

"Can I talk to you in private during lunchtime?" Naru asked, and Ami smiled in understanding.

"Sure." She agreed. "We can talk up on the roof while we eat our lunch."

"Thanks." Naru said with a smile before going to her assigned seat.

4 hours later...

Naru and Ami made themselves comfortable in a corner of the roof and began to pull their lunch from their bags.

"So, what's it like for you being a senshi?" Naru asked quietly.

"It's exciting and fulfilling yet sometimes scary." Ami answered honestly. "When I first became a senshi I was surprised, because I didn't think there was anything special or important about me that would qualify me to be a senshi."

"But once I did become a senshi it was like it felt right; in a way that nothing else in my life had. Suddenly I belonged and had a higher purpose. And there was Usagi who had befriended me and didn't care that I was smart and liked to read and study all the time." She continued.

"Of course you know that Usagi and I had our problems last year." Ami said, and Naru nodded. "After Makoto and Rei came along and became senshi I gradually began to believe the complaints that Luna and Rei had and then began to add my own."

"I allowed myself to be a follower and go along with the flow. I began to believe that I was a better senshi than Usagi and that was wrong of me. The power of being a senshi had begun to go to my head." She explained.

"Usagi pulling away from me as a friend and quitting the team was a wake up call, and I analyzed my own behavior and made the necessary adjustments to be a better person and senshi as a result." Ami said.

Naru nodded as she listened and ate her lunch. Again with the mentioning of Usagi quitting being a senshi, being Sailor Moon. She would have to ask Usagi about that in more detail.

"It's sometimes hard to run toward a dangerous creature when part of me wants to run away from it, but I've been finding that it's getting easier especially since I gained attacks since at first I was only able to send out a fog that would cover the area and give us cover to hide from the creatures." Ami continued.

"Aside from that bit I really like being a senshi. Not only have I felt like I belong and have a higher purpose, but I gained friends who accept me and understand me." She said.

"My mother doesn't know of course but so far I haven't had any problems in that area. She works at a hospital so she's kind of a workaholic and barely at home, so that means I don't have to make up excuses and lie. I'm definitely not looking forward to the time when I have to start, but I will if I have to." She admitted, and Naru nodded thoughtfully.

"Do you remember any of the past?" She asked, and Ami shook her head.

"Nothing yet, but I'm hoping for something soon." She said, and Naru nodded.

"Thanks for answering my questions. It definitely helped me understand better." She said. "I plan to speak to Makoto after school, and asked her the same things."

"I understand." Ami replied as she nodded.

Naru smiled and the two of them began to dig into their lunch.

4 hours later...

After school Naru, Makoto, and Ami waved good bye to Usagi and the three of them began to walk away from campus with the flow of students. Once the crowd thinned down and they were alone enough to talk Ami slowed until she was walking a few feet behind them to give them a bit of privacy.

Naru smiled back at her gratefully since she wanted to speak to each of them alone without the possible interference of anyone. She doubted that would happen, but she still wanted it to be a one on one conversation.

"So, what would you like to know?" Makoto asked curiously.

"What's being a senshi like for you?" Naru asked.

"It's exciting." Makoto said readily. "I'm a fighter and I get to do what I'm good at. In addition to that I feel like I belong and like I'm accepted for who I am. People tend to focus on my height and the rumors of me always getting into trouble for fighting, and instantly think I'm a mean bully and nothing but trouble."

"When I was discovered to be Sailor Jupiter the girls didn't judged me. They welcomed me and got to know me." She said.

"You saw when I first arrived at the school and how Usagi befriended me." She said.

Naru nodded, remembering that well because she had heard the rumors of why she had left her old school.

"That's was nice and unexpected of her, and of course over time it seems I forgot that." Makoto said with a sigh.

"I let myself become a follower and went along with what Ami and Rei and Luna complained about. It was very wrong of me. It started as me trying to fit in with the group and then it escalated from there until I started to believe the complaints and see fault in nearly everything Usagi did." She continued.

"It wasn't until she pulled away and quit the team that I began to reevaluate what was happening and how I was behaving. I realized I had changed for the worse and didn't like it." She said as she shook her head at her past behavior.

"I worked to change myself back into who I was and worked to fix my friendship with Usagi. Now our friendship is solid and senshi life is even better than before." Makoto said. "Well, if what happened with Rei is ignored."

Naru nodded thoughtfully. So far from Makoto and Ami she was learning that if she chose to be a senshi she needed to make sure she didn't let the power of the position go to her head. She needed to remain firm to who she was and not become a follower and allow herself to turn on anyone. Aside from that being a senshi could make her feel a sense of acceptance and belonging.

"Do you remember any of the past yet?" She asked.

"Not even a little bit, but I wish I did." Makoto answered. "Have you talked to Minako yet?" She asked as she watched her wave Ami forward.

"I haven't since I had just decided to talk to you all this morning." Naru said as Ami moved back up and joined them.

"I can contact Minako right now so you can get all of the talks done today; Usagi too." Makoto offered.

"I would like to talk to Minako today, but I'll wait until tomorrow to talk to Usagi. I want to think about what you all have said before talking to her." Naru said.

Makoto nodded and lifted her wrist to open her communicator watch.

"That's a good idea." Ami said. "You won't overwhelm or pressure yourself that way, and you'll be able to thoroughly think about everything you've been told."

Meanwhile...

Mamoru watched his princess slip into her seat in the car and close the door and look at him as she pulled on her seatbelt.

"Hey love." He said.

"Hi." She said with a smile as she buckled her seatbelt.

"How was your day?" He asked.

"It was good; the same as usual." Usagi said.

"How was Naru?" Mamoru asked as he started the engine and pulled out and began to drive away.

"She's good." She answered. "She talked to Ami privately during lunch, and just now she was with Ami and Makoto so I guess it's Makoto's turn."

"Ah, so she's going to talk to all the girls." He said.

"That's what I think, and I guess me and Minako are next." Usagi said.

"She's being thorough." He said as he nodded. "She's obviously thinking and wants to know more before making a decision."

"True." She said and then sighed. "I'm kind of excited to meet Zoisite." She said, moving the conversation elsewhere.

Mamoru had told her through their bond as soon as Zoisite agreed to once again be his guardian, and then he had contacted all of them later on the communicator to let the girls know and that he had updated Zoisite on the events that had happened since his death and even before.

In addition to that he had told her through their bond that he was going to meet up with Zoisite the next day during his lunch break, which was around the time she got out of school and if she wanted to meet him.

She had immediately agreed so that's where they were now headed.

"I'm excited for you two to meet too. I think you'll get along well. " Mamoru said. "I'm excited about getting another of my guardians back. I didn't expect Zoisite to agree so instantly and be so adamant about it."

"I hope the other guys are the same." Usagi said.

What will happen when Nephrite remembers. If Naru agrees to be a senshi their reintroduction is going to be a delicate situation to navigate. She thought, and then she frowned as she realized that he and Makoto had been together in the past. She had no idea to what extent, the seriousness, but she knew they had been together.

"Don't worry about it until both Naru and Nephrite join us." Mamoru suggested. "We know how Naru feels about him as well as the fact that Makoto doesn't remember him yet, but it would be best to see how he feels after he remembers. That way he can make a choice, if there's a choice at all since he can decide against both of them, before he meets either girl."

"Okay." Usagi said as she nodded and sighed.

She forced her mind away from the subject and to the upcoming meeting. It was sure to be a bit awkward what with him having been a dark general and her having killed him, but she hoped they could move passed it quickly.

Just over twenty minutes later Mamoru was parking a few buildings away from the library and turned the engine off. They got out of the car and walked hand in hand toward the library.

"I'll wait out here for you and Zoisite." Usagi said as they reached the entrance, and Mamoru shrugged.

"I'll be right back." He said before he went inside and moved confidently toward the front desk where he could see Zoisite. "Hey Akira; you ready?" He said.

"Yeah." Zoisite said as he smiled. "I'm going on my lunch break." He told a coworker before he moved around the desk and joined Mamoru.

They walked toward the doors and as soon as they stepped outside Zoisite immediately spotted Usagi, easily recognizing her from his memories, and watched as she smiled up at them.

"Usagi this is Akira." Mamoru said as he reached her side. "Akira this is my girlfriend Usagi." He said as he looked to Zoisite.

"Hi. It's nice to meet you again." Usagi said.

"It's nice to meet you again as well." Zoisite said, and then sighed. "I'm sorry for what I did. I was the bad guy but still."

"It's okay." She said as she waved her hand lightly. "I'm sorry for killing you." She added and he shook his head.

"I was the bad guy, and that likely wouldn't have changed. You had no choice." Zoisite said.

"Now that that's out of the way how about we find somewhere to eat and talk." Mamoru said.

"There's a cafe/diner not far from here, and it's usually pretty empty at this time of day." Zoisite said.

Mamoru and Usagi agreed and Zoisite began to lead the way. They walked down the block and around the corner and down another block before they reached the establishment.

It was quiet inside and there was only a hand full of people sitting around. All three of them ordered sandwiches, fries, and drinks, and settled at a table near a wall away from the other customers.

"So do you know who you're going to approach next?" Zoisite asked his prince.

"I don't know." Mamoru answered. "I hope you have an idea since you know the guys now."

"Kunzite." Zoisite suggested. "He'll be easier to approach first since he's my roommate."

"Do you think the same approach I used with you will work on him?" Mamoru asked.

"I don't think so." Zoisite said with a frown. "In essentials Kunzite is the same as he was in the past, so while he wants to remember the life he can't remember he's suspicious and slow to trust."

"Perhaps the two of you should approach Kunzite together." Usagi suggested. "Zoisite can maybe make him at ease since he presumably trusts him, and then Mamoru can work on getting him to remember."

Mamoru nodded and looked to Zoisite.

"What do you think?" He asked.

"It can work." Zoisite said. "I think we should do it at my apartment, so Kunzite will be more at ease. When do you want to do it?"

"Today is as good a day as any." Mamoru said promptly, and Zoisite nodded.

"How about you come to my place with me after I get off work? Kunzite's usually already there when I get home, so we can get started right away." He said, and Mamoru nodded.

"Then I'll just come pick you up." He said, and Zoisite nodded.

"Will you be there too?" He asked Usagi.

"No. Mamoru's going to handle approaching all of you without me." She said. "You all are going to be his guardians if the others agree, and I don't want to be introduced into the equation until after the fact."

"That makes sense." Zoisite said, but before he could say any more their food was delivered. They were all hungry, so they immediately started eating.

Meanwhile...

Naru, Makoto, and Ami walked into the arcade and found a booth to wait for Minako since she wasn't there yet.

None of them were in any hurry since they had nothing else to do besides their homework. Makoto and Ami both silently thought it was a good thing to spend time with Naru without Usagi. If she was going to join the team then they all needed to get used to being around each other for more than just school.

Naru on the other hand was seeing what it was like to hangout with the two girls without her best friend around. She had spent time with them without Usagi at school here and there, but never outside of school and if she was going to be a senshi with them she wanted at least a taste of what it was like to be around them casually.

As they waited they talked about random things from school, to what they had decided to do with their friendship with Rei, to types of food they liked, to types of clothes they liked.

Minutes passed before Minako arrived and they all ordered drinks and something to snack on before Naru and Minako left to take a short walk so they could talk in private.

"Are you tired?" Naru asked as she watched Minako yawn.

"A bit." Minako answered. "We had group training early this morning, so it isn't unexpected. I'll make up for it tonight."

Naru nodded in understanding; filing that information away to consider later.

"So what's it like being a senshi for you?" Naru asked quietly once they were well on their way down the sidewalk.

"I love being a senshi. For me it's fulfilling, exciting, and honorable." Minako said. "Admittedly I didn't feel that way at first. When Artemis first approached me I thought he was a strange creature and wanted no part of what he said, but he was persistent and convinced me."

"After that it was all about fighting the bad guys and learning to train myself, so I would be a better fighter, and then I started remembering bits and pieces of my past." She continued.

"I began to remember what my duty had been and how much I had enjoyed it. I began to remember the beautiful gentle young woman that had been my charge. That was when the honor began to come into play, and it's been that way ever since; especially since I arrived in the country and met Usagi." She explained. "After meeting her I was finally able to do the job I was suppose to do."

"On top of that I saw right away that she and Mamoru were a couple, and I made sure to take the time even with what was happening at the time to get to know this modern version of the Earth Prince. I learned pretty quickly that both he and Usagi were just modern versions of what they had been in the past." Minako said with a slight shrug.

Naru nodded thoughtfully as she took in everything Minako said.

"So you remember the past." She said.

"I do. Not all of it but some." Minako said as she nodded. "Before I joined up with everyone I had remembered that Usagi was the Moon Princess, that I was her protective double since I resembled her the closest, and that I was the leader of the Senshi. I even remember how events ended on the Moon and the evil entity that was responsible."

"I know there's so much to remember, but it's a start and hopefully more will come soon." She added, and Naru nodded.

"Thank you for telling me all that. It's definitely helped, and I'll take your words into consideration before I make my decision." She said.

"No problem. Good luck with your thoughts." Minako said. "For what it's worth I want you on the team, and I think you'll make a better Mars than Rei ever was. You're loyal, smart, and have the right mentality."

"Thank you. I appreciate that." Naru said with a smile.

With that they began to make their way back to the arcade, so they could enjoy their drinks and snacks.

Zoisite and Mamoru's POV

Evening

"Goodnight Akira." One of his fellow employees called out.

"Goodnight. See you tomorrow." Zoisite said as he adjusted his jacket.

He walked toward the doors to the library and opened one before he stepped outside. Immediately he saw his prince sitting in his car parked right in front of him, and moved forward and opened the passenger side door.

"Good evening your highness." He said as he slipped inside and closed the door.

"Good evening Zoisite." Mamoru said as he shook his head.

"What's with the shaking head?" He asked as he pulled on his seatbelt.

"I was just thinking that I'm going to have to get used to being addressed so formally." Mamoru said.

"The Senshi don't address Serenity that way?" Zoisite asked.

"No." Mamoru answered as he shook his head.

"Well, maybe it's because not all of them remember the past completely or maybe I'm just more fanatical about it." Zoisite said as his prince started the engine.

"I guess we'll find out when Kunzite is free." Mamoru replied as he pulled out into the street and began to drive toward Zoisite's apartment building.

The drive took only a few minutes and Mamoru was soon parking in an available spot halfway down the block from the apartment building. He turned off the engine and they unbuckled their seatbelts and got out of the car.

Once the doors were locked Mamoru followed Zoisite down the sidewalk to the apartment building and inside. They walked up the flights of stairs and turned down a hallway until they reached his apartment door with the number 3B on it.

Zoisite unlocked and opened the door and found that all was dark.

"Looks like we beat him here." He said as he flicked on the lights and stepped inside. "We'll have to wait." He added as he held the door open for his prince.

"That's okay. I don't mind." Mamoru said as he stepped inside.

He moved toward the living room area and looked around. It looked just as he remembered from when he looked through the Earth.

"Have a seat and make yourself comfortable." Zoisite said as he put his keys down and took off his jacket. "Do you want anything to drink?"

"No thank you." Mamoru answered as he sat on a side chair that was out of view of the apartment door.

Zoisite joined him a few moments later and closed the curtains before he plopped down on the couch with a bottle of water.

"Do you know how you're going to do it?" He asked.

"No, but I've been thinking about it." Mamoru said. "I hadn't known what I was going to do when I approached you, but I had a general plan. It was easier when I was approaching you as Tuxedo Kamen."

"You can do it again if it'll work." Zoisite said.

"And how are you going to explain having Tuxedo Kamen sitting in your living room?" Mamoru asked.

Zoisite shrugged helplessly and took a sip of his water.

"I don't think it would be right to start off sitting here as Tuxedo Kamen, but that doesn't mean I can't transform after Kunzite gets here." Mamoru said thoughtfully. "If he's suspicious and untrusting then it will be best to just state things outright, so he won't be confused and feel like he's being led on."

"What do you want me to do?" Zoisite asked as he nodded.

"Provide an introduction, and when the time is right confirm that I helped you remember who you are." Mamoru said.

"No problem." Zoisite said as he nodded. "So, how are things going with the Senshi without Mars around?" He asked.

He was still surprised by that revelation. Serenity had removed Sailor Mars from her guardians and took her memory of ever having been one.

"They're doing good; very good." Mamoru answered. "There's only been one fight since Mars was removed, and it went very well. There was no problems or anything. Usagi is still waiting for an answer from the girl she asked to take the position, but I still feel she will agree."

"And you all know the girl." Zoisite said.

"Yes. We all know her. She's Usagi's best friend." Mamoru replied.

I wonder what Jadeite will think of that what with him and Mars having been together in the past. Zoisite wondered.

Before anymore could be said they heard the sound of keys at the door and then the door opening. Zoisite shot Mamoru a slightly wide eyed look, and Mamoru smiled lightly and nodded reassuringly.

They looked in the direction of the door as they heard it close, and moments later Kunzite's figure appeared. He paused as he spotted Mamoru, and then looked back and forth between him and Zoisite.

"Welcome back Kiyoshi." Zoisite said as he perked up. "We have a visitor."

"Oh." Kiyoshi said calmly as he blinked and looked to Mamoru.

"Yeah." Zoisite said. "Kiyoshi this is Mamoru. Mamoru this is Kiyoshi."

"It's a pleasure to meet you Kiyoshi." Mamoru said.

"Likewise." Kiyoshi said. He was unsure about this new person. Akira had never brought home a friend before or even mentioned making a friend.

"Come join us. There's something we want to talk to you about." Zoisite said.

Kiyoshi looked at them before he moved toward the couch and sat down next to Akira and angled himself toward his guest.

"I've already spoken to Akira about this, and we decided the best place to have this discussion was here in your home." Mamoru said outright.

Kiyoshi blinked in confusion, but kept that to himself. Why would this guy need to have a conversation with him? Why would Akira agree to it?

"Do you know about the Sailor Senshi, and how they fight the strange creatures attacking around the city?" Mamoru asked.

Kiyoshi nodded, wondering what this had to do with anything. Could this be why he wanted to talk to him?

"Do you know about the guy that fights along side them, Tuxedo Kamen?" Mamoru asked, and Kiyoshi nodded again. "That guy is me; I'm Tuxedo Kamen, and just so there's no doubt..." He added.

He stood up and began to glow with a bright light red light. It grew brighter and covered his entire body, and when it cleared he stood as Tuxedo Kamen.

Kiyoshi stared in shock. Akira's new friend was Tuxedo Kamen. That was surprising and shocking, especially to see the proof, but why was he being told this? Why had Akira been told this? He assumed such a thing should be kept a secret, and not told to people he had just met.

Mamoru sat back down and took his top hat off, and put it away in his subspace pocket before he returned his attention back to the silent man.

"I'm revealing this to you because myself and the Senshi were reincarnated, and in our past life I knew both you and Akira." He said.

Kiyoshi's eyes widened even as he frowned. This guy who had revealed himself to be Tuxedo Kamen was claiming to have known him in a past life. What kind of nonsense was this?!

Reincarnation was outrageous enough, but even if it was true what did it matter if they had known each other in the past? It was the past! It wasn't the present. Just because they had known each other then didn't mean anything now.

He looked to Akira and saw that he had a very serious expression on his face.

"You believe this?" He asked him.

"I absolutely believe it, because I remember it." Zoisite answered seriously. "Not only do I remember that life I also remember this present life, and what happened to me before I woke up in the hospital."

Kiyoshi's eyes widened. None of them had remembered anything since they had woke up in the hospital. Not even the smallest of details. Everything had just been a blank void before that.

He frowned heavier than before and looked from Mamoru to Akira.

"You really remember?" He asked.

"I do." Zoisite said. "My name really is Akira and my past name was Zoisite. I in fact remember the past so clearly that I consider Zoisite my present name as well."

"Did we know each other before waking up in the hospital since you say you remember what happened before?" Kiyoshi asked.

"We did, and even then we knew about Tuxedo Kamen and the Sailor Senshi." Zoisite said. "We were actually apart of that life, but we were regrettably on the other side."

Kiyoshi sighed and ran a hand lightly through his hair and looked back to the silent figure of Mamoru.

"I can't believe I'm even saying this, but if we were on the other side as Akira said then why are you talking to us now? Why haven't you left us alone?"

"Because in the past you weren't on the 'other side'. At least not until the end. In that time we were friends and I want that again. However, it will be your choice." Mamoru answered.

"As Akira said, he remembered, because I helped him remember. I want to do the same for you, so that you can make your decision with the full knowledge of who you really are." He explained.

"He really did the same for you?" Kiyoshi asked as he looked to Akira.

"He did." Zoisite said as he nodded seriously. "It didn't hurt at all. It felt warm and comforting, and was quick."

Kiyoshi let his eyes lower as he considered this turn of events. He could admit that he wanted to remember his life before waking up in the hospital, but did he really want to remember being on the 'other side' of the fight from the Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Kamen?

The 'other side' was presumably the dark evil side they were fighting against. That certainly didn't sound like something he wanted to recall.

But I do want to remember my life. He thought as he looked back up, first to Akira and then to Mamoru. He was even curious about this past life they mentioned. When was this past life, and what was it like? What was he like?

"I want to remember." He said as he nodded. "I want to know."

"Okay." Mamoru said as he nodded in return. He then summoned his crystal and it appeared above his gloved hands and floated there. Closing his eyes he focused on what he wanted, knowing his crystal would act on it.

He wanted Kunzite to remember who he was; from his past as one of his guardian shittenou, to his life in the present, to his time as a dark general in the Negaverse.

Kiyoshi blinked at the sight of the golden crystal that had just appeared in Mamoru's hands, and then squinted his eyes as it pulsed and then brightened before golden light flared out in his direction.

He quickly looked to Akira and saw him nod and smile calmly at him. He blinked and closed his eyes and tried to relax. Akira had said it wouldn't hurt and would be quick.

In the next moment he felt surrounded in warmth. It was an easy comforting feeling and he unconsciously relaxed as it moved over him. As soon as he did the warmth seemed to sink into his skin and further into his body before it began to move around.

If he had to name it he would say it was searching. It went from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet and worked its way back up.

Kiyoshi slipped further and further into that warm comforting feeling, but suddenly information began to trickle into his mind and seemingly in the next moment it became a flood.

Sounds, words, names, phrases, thoughts, and feelings nearly overwhelmed him, and it was followed up with flashes of images of places, locations, people, faces, and creatures.

It was so much he could hardly make sense of it as it flashed, swirled, and twisted around his mind, but the warmth and comfort was still there and it was keeping him calm.

He frowned as he began to analyze the images and names and phrases as they settled, and suddenly it started to make sense. Real actual shocking sense.

He was really Kiyoshi. His parents had named him that, but he was more; so much more. He was Kunzite, nobleman and warrior, guardian shittenou to the heir to the throne of the Earth, Prince Endymion.

He put a hand up to his head and groaned as everything settled down and the warmth and comfort left him. He remembered it all. He remembered being brainwashed by the sorceress Beryl in the past, brainwashing his fellow shittenou in return, and betraying his prince in the past.

He recalled angrily that he had been found and brainwashed again in his present life, and made into a dark general under Beryl's command.

He had hurt people, killed people, stolen energy, fought against his prince, fought against the Guardian Senshi, fought against Princess Serenity! She was Sailor Moon. He could see the similarities easily, and there had been no senshi of the Moon in the past.

He groaned again. He had fought and tried to kill Princess Serenity; the woman his prince loved.

Kunzite opened his eyes and blinked as he lowered his hand and looked to the man that sat silently still dressed in the tuxedo and cape of his masked persona. He was looking at him calmly with gentle accepting eyes. He looked over to Akira, Zoisite, and saw that he was smirking and looking at him with quiet excitement.

"I am sorry Endymion." He said as he returned his eyes to his prince. "I don't even have the words to express my regret at the level of betrayal and dishonor I committed against you."

Mamoru nodded, clearly the leader of his Shittenou remembered everything.

"Now that you recall who you are do you want to be one of my guardians again?" He asked, and the man's eyes widened slightly.

"Even with what I did, betraying you twice, you would accept me as your guardian again?" Kunzite asked.

"Of course. You were brainwashed, and made to turn against me. It was not your choice, and the second time we hadn't had a chance to meet before you were taken from your life." Mamoru said. "We'll need to get to know each other, learn to trust and work together again, but I want you as my guardian again."

"Then I would very much like to serve you again." Kunzite said as he nodded.

"Things are different from what you remember." Mamoru cautioned.

"It doesn't matter. I will learn and adapt, and prove myself trustworthy and regain my honor. You are my prince, and time has not changed that. I would be honored to resume my duty." Kunzite said.

"Very well. I'm happy to have you back in my life." Mamoru said.

"Welcome back Kunzite." Zoisite said as he grinned.

"Thanks." Kunzite said before he looked back to Mamoru. "You haven't gone to the others yet." He said.

"No." Mamoru said as he shook his head. "Zoisite was the first since it was discovering him that let me know that the rest of you could be alive. We decided to approach you next since you two lived together. I'm not sure who to approach next."

"Jadeite." Kunzite suggested. "We work at the same place, so I can get you two together easier."

"We can do it tomorrow; same time as today." Zoisite added.

"I'm fine with that." Mamoru said as he nodded. "Unless an attack happens at the same time."

"How are we supposed to fight and be your guardians if we can't do what we did in the past?" Kunzite asked as he frowned.

"I'll take care of that; just give me some time. I'll have everything ready by the time Jadeite and Nephrite remember." Mamoru said. "Although, if they don't want to be my guardians again I'll have to find new ones." He added and Zoisite shook his head.

"They will." He said confidently. "Don't worry. All four of us will be together again with our memories intact."

Mamoru smiled lightly and released his transformation. Kunzite is with us. He told Usagi through their bond.

Great! Who's next? She asked.

We just decided on Jadeite since he and Kunzite work together. That'll apparently make it easier to bring him to me. He replied.

That makes sense. She said. Have you informed Kunzite of everything that's happened?

No. I'm just about to, but I wanted to let you know that Kunzite remembers before I get to it. He said.

Thanks for the consideration love. Usagi said. I'll let you get back to it then.

Alright. Mamoru said and then returned his attention to Kunzite.

"Now you need to know what's going on, and what happened after your death and even before it." He told him.

"A lot's happened." Zoisite said as he nodded in agreement.

Kunzite took a deep breath and let it out as a sigh.

"Alright; I'm all ears." He said. He was very curious to know what he had missed, and judging by what had been said so far a lot must have happened before he was killed.

He listened closely, noticing that Zoisite was listening as well, as their prince started with what happened after he died and went on up until present. After that he went back to seemingly the beginning and began to inform him of when he first became Tuxedo Kamen and the sequence of events that happened after that.

Sailor Moon quitting the Senshi, discovering that Sailor Moon was his friend Usagi, the two of them dreaming about each other in the past, discovering and remembering that they were the Earth Prince and the Moon Princess.

On and on it went and Kunzite was completely into the tale and surprised at what he was hearing. It was a fantastic story and he imagined someone who wasn't involved in their secret lifestyle would find it unbelievable and pure fantasy unless they saw proof.

What really shocked him was hearing how Sailor Mars' reincarnation gradually became more intent on Endymion and eventually obsessed, and then that she had descended in her behavior as a guardian so much so that Princess Serenity had removed her as one of her guardians.

And now there would be a new Sailor Mars if the girl that Princess Serenity had chosen agreed. He wondered how that would go; especially with Jadeite since even he recalled him and Mars being together in the past.

And with that he was reminded of Sailor Venus and what they had in the past. Obviously they didn't know each other now, but he already knew he wanted to get to know her and see if those feelings were still there.

Wednesday: Day Ten

Afternoon

Lunch had finally arrived and Usagi and Naru had made it up to the roof and had chosen a corner at the front of the building to sit at and talk as they ate.

Naru had asked Usagi if they could talk privately and she had agreed easily. She didn't think Naru was about to give her an answer since that didn't need to be done in private, so she was ready to answer any questions she had or clarify anything she was unclear on.

"I talked to Ami, Makoto, and Minako, and got their perspectives and impressions on being a senshi. Now I want to ask the same of you." Naru said. "What's it like being a senshi for you?"

"It's kind of complicated." Usagi said with a sigh. "At present I like it. I'm getting along with everyone, and I'm growing into a better fighter and warrior every day. But in the beginning when I first became a senshi I hadn't liked it. The only things I liked was Tuxedo Kamen's constant presence and that I was helping people."

"But aside from that it was scary, and Luna was no help at all in explaining how I was supposed to fight. To me it seemed that Luna had expected me to just know what to do just because I transformed." She explained.

"It wasn't until I saw the other's transform and fight for the first time that I realized Luna thought that because that was how it was for each of them." She continued. "I know now that it was because they had instincts from the past to go off of and I didn't."

"Beyond that Ami, Makoto, and Rei had begun to complain all the time about my habits and abilities as a senshi, so that didn't help me grow to like the job I had agreed to take on. On top of that I had noticed that seemingly with each senshi that was found my own power seemed to get less and less." She explained.

"What do you mean?" Naru asked as she frowned, remembering that Usagi has said something about that before.

"When I was fighting alone before Ami came along I was able to defeat the youmas on my own, but it was like as each senshi came along they had to weaken the youma before I could defeat it." Usagi explained, and she nodded in understanding.

"Makoto and Ami mentioned you had quit being a senshi, even you mentioned it the other day. Is that why?" Naru asked.

"It was all of it, but at the end they had made me feel like me being out there was dangerous. I had believed that I was so bad of a senshi that if I stayed I would get them, Tuxedo Kamen, and even regular people killed." Usagi explained.

"I hadn't wanted to risk it, and with my powers diminishing and the way they were treating me I decided I had no business being a senshi." She continued with a slight shrug. "At that point the only thing I would have missed was Tuxedo Kamen. Not just because of the huge crush I had on him, but because he was the only one supporting and encouraging me from the very beginning."

"He hadn't complained about saving me or got an attitude with me or frustrated with me. He always dealt with me calmly and without complaint." She said.

Naru nodded and listened as her friend explained that after that she and Mamoru eventually discovered each other being Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen. He wanted her to be a senshi again and be out there fighting with him, but she still thought she would be nothing but a danger.

Then they discovered that she was the Moon Princess the Senshi had been looking for and he was the Earth Prince no one had known about; except her apparently since she had been dreaming about him since she had become a senshi. Although, she hadn't known he was a prince. He was just this man she was dreaming about.

After that Minako came along and she and Mamoru helped train Usagi, so she would feel comfortable going back out and fighting. It had worked. She had gotten her crystal and that had helped her power issue, and they had taught her how to fight physically and even to use a sword.

"So after that everything went smoothly and I began to feel comfortable and like being a senshi. Everyone had stopped complaining about me, and I began to get along with everyone. The only issue had been Rei." Usagi said.

"Rei had said she would change, and she had at first, but slowly yet steadily she began to drift back into the behavior from before and it began to grow worse. Add her feelings and attraction for Mamoru on top of that, and it just made things even tenser between us." She explained.

"I understand; so you like being a senshi now." Naru said, and Usagi nodded.

"I do. My friendship with Ami and Makoto is back on track and so is the trust, Minako is great, and none of them are after Mamoru so that's even better. I never had a problem with Artemis, and Luna is getting better but there are still issues with her." She said.

"We're fighting an enemy now that's irritating and still a bit of a mystery at present, but it's no different than our last enemy." Usagi said, and Naru nodded thoughtfully.

"I know you know some of the past, but do you know all of it?" She asked.

"Yes. I do." Usagi answered. "I remember it all as if I had just lived it. When there's something specific I need to know I can search my mind for it or like when I recalled you being in the past my mind will bring it forward for me so I don't have to look."

"Okay." Naru said and sighed gustily. "Now that I've spoken to everyone, well except for Mamoru, but he isn't a senshi so I think his point of view would be different."

"It would be." Usagi confirmed as she nodded, and her friend nodded in return.

"Since I've spoken to everyone I'm ready to go over it all and get to making my decision." Naru said, and Usagi nodded.

"Good luck." She said. "You can always call me if you need clarification on anything."

"Thanks." Naru said as she nodded.

After that they continued eating their lunch and began to chat about things that had nothing to do with the Sailor Senshi and strange creatures.

Hours later...

Naru made it home and sighed as she closed the door behind her. She already knew she was alone since her mom didn't usually get home until after the store closed late in the evening.

She thought that was perfect in this case. It allowed her uninterrupted time alone to think about what her decision was going to be.

She went up to her room and put her school bag on her desk, and pulled her jacket off and dropped it on her bed before she headed to the kitchen. She grabbed a bottle of juice and went into the living room.

She sat on the couch and turned the TV on so she would have some background noise to her thoughts and took a drink of her juice and released a sigh.

Her best friend, who was Sailor Moon, had asked her to be Sailor Mars. From all she had learned from her talks over the pass few days she understood that as a senshi her main duty would be to protect Usagi, and after that it was to fight the creatures attacking in the city or whoever the enemy happened to be as time passed.

Everyone said they liked being a senshi. It was rewarding in different ways for each of them. None of them had sugarcoated senshi life for her. The only one that hadn't been negatively effected in some way was Minako.

Usagi hadn't had the fighting instincts of a senshi and that made it difficult, Ami had let the importance and power of the position go to her head, and Makoto had allowed herself to become a follower.

Although, Ami likely allowed herself to become a follower as well. Naru thought.

She obviously hadn't spoken to her but from what she had heard about Rei Hino she had also let the power of being a senshi go to her head, and began to believe she was better than the others.

If I'm going to become a senshi I need to make sure I don't lose myself. Naru told herself. The last thing she wanted was to start feeling like she was better than the others or lose her individuality trying to fit in among them.

Usagi had already said she wouldn't have to worry about fighting until she had been trained, so she didn't worry about that deterring her. And she already knew all the girls and Mamoru, so it wouldn't be a problem of getting to know anyone.

Now for reasons not to be a senshi. She thought with a sigh.

She immediately dismissed the knowledge that she had been a princess in the past. It was interesting but that was the past and didn't effect her current life.

Would I feel differently if I remembered, like Usagi did? She wondered, but decided it still didn't matter. It wasn't like she could suddenly go rule Mars if she did remember.

There was the fact that she would have to lie to her mother. She didn't like that but she understood her mother couldn't know. If she knew she was going out fighting she would understandably try to stop her because it would be dangerous.

Then there was fighting against strange creatures that wanted to kill her. Did she want to have to deal with that?

Then again haven't I already had to deal with that? On more than one occasion? The last just over a week ago. She thought.

Naru couldn't help recalling how she had wished she wasn't the damsel in distress and didn't need saving. If she was a senshi she wouldn't need saving. She trusted that Usagi and Minako and even Mamoru would help her learn to fight.

Of course remembering the attack she had experienced in her bedroom also brought to mind Nephrite and she wondered what he would think of her being a senshi.

She knew that he had been one of the bad guys, but she also knew that at the end he had saved her from other bad guys at the expense of his own life. She thought he ultimately would have wanted her to know how to defend herself.

And I want to know how to defend myself as well and never feel helpless again. If I had known I could've fought and protected myself and helped him instead of watching him get hurt saving me and dying. She thought.

Naru closed her eyes and sighed slowly. I miss him so much. My dear Nephrite.

Her thought was interrupted as she heard something about Senshi on the TV. She opened her eyes and saw a breaking news report.

"One of our helicopters flying over the city has unexpectedly come across a fight scene." The male reporter said. "Tuxedo Kamen is there as well as all of the Sailor Senshi with the exception of the red senshi known as Sailor Mars."

Naru narrowed her eyes slightly as she watched the screen. The fight appeared to be taking place on a playground in the middle of a park.

The camera zoomed in and she saw that the creature they were fighting against appeared to be a clown. A female clown with bushy magenta hair, white skin with black lines slashed down beneath her eyes, a red nose, and red lips painted into a smile.

On her head was a yellow spiky helmet, and her outfit consisted of a green long sleeve bodysuit with the left leg missing, a red bow on her chest, and red slipper shoes.

She watched as the clown woman pulled a red ball out of thin air from where she stood on top of a swing set with her free hand, her other hand was holding an umbrella, and threw it toward Sailor Venus.

She dodged out of the way but to her, and apparently Venus', surprise the ball grew larger mid flight and she had to dive away to truly avoid it.

Sailor Jupiter launched a bolt of lightning at the clown woman, but the woman opened her umbrella and raised it above her head as she twisted out of the way as if she was using it to maintain her balance.

Still, the attack brought Naru's eyes to the green senshi. Makoto. She reminded herself. Her hair is as green as her eyes. She thought before her eyes shifted to Ami, and saw that her hair was a royal blue and so were her eyes.

In fact, she looked back to Makoto and realized her eyes were a more vibrant green than they usually were.

So if I become a senshi my hair and eyes will be a vibrant red. She thought.

She looked down to the bow on her uniform top and tried to imagine her hair and eyes that color. Her hair was already a little reddish, but she still couldn't see it as a vibrant red, but she understood it would happen if she chose to be the senshi of Mars.

Naru focused her attention back on the TV screen and the fight scene being filmed. She watched as the clown woman opened her umbrella and pointed it at Sailor Moon, at Usagi, and a rope or cord came flying out toward her, but she side stepped it and in the process pulled a sword out of thin air and sliced it just as it was about to wrap around her.

Her eyes widened and she was instantly impressed by that. It looked like she would have been in serious trouble if she was even a little off on her movements.

Her eyes shifted with the camera view as it showed Tuxedo Kamen, Mamoru, launch an attack that looked like a storm of black flower petals at the clown woman. She dodged but was suddenly hit from the side by a beam of orange-gold light, but before she could even hit the ground she was hit again by a red beam with lightning crackling around it.

Judging by the look on the female's face Naru thought it must hurt, but there was no sound with the footage so she didn't know for sure.

The clown woman hit the ground and rolled until she slammed into the play structure, and then she suddenly jumped up into the air looking angry and landed on top of the structure.

She began to throw all kinds of things at the Senshi and Tuxedo Kamen that she was producing seemingly from nowhere. Balls, bowling pins, rubber chickens, tiny bikes, and flowers.

All of them enlarged as they flew through the air at the Senshi and Tuxedo Kamen, and Naru watched with bated breath as each and every one of them was dodged and avoided.

Then they all began to launch attacks. Jupiter sending a bolt of lightning, Mercury streams of water, Venus a beam of light, Sailor Moon a white beam with something blue inside, and Tuxedo Kamen a red beam.

The clown woman managed to avoid all the attacks, but must not have noticed the second round of what looked like combined attacks and was hit with all of them.

As she hit the ground the camera zoomed in on Sailor Moon, and she watched as she put her sword away and pulled out what looked like a scepter royalty would carry and aim it at the clown woman. Within moments blue and pink light came shooting out of it and flew through the air and hit the woman.

She looked like she was screaming before she began to glow with a white light that quickly covered her body. Her figure seemed to gradually shrink down after that and when the light cleared a card was bizarrely left in its place.

The Senshi and Tuxedo Kamen came together and looked like they were talking before some nodded, and they all split up and began to run from the area. Although, she noticed Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen stuck together in their dash away.

Naru ignored the reporter and went back to her thoughts as he began to talk about the fight, breaking it down and wondering where the missing red senshi was.

What she did know was that she wanted to be able to defend herself, she never wanted to be helpless again, never wanted to watch someone she loved being seriously hurt or killed and not be able to do anything about it.

And I'm sure Nephrite would approve. She thought softly.

Naru took a deep breath as her decision settled in on her. She knew it wouldn't be easy, she would need to learn to fight, but she had no problem learning and definitely had no problem protecting Usagi and growing closer to her friends.

She would have to deal with her change in hair and eye color, and not being able to tell her mother the truth about this added element of her life, but she wasn't the only one. If Minako and Ami could do it then so could she.

So it was settled. She would become a senshi; she would be Sailor Mars.
