Quinn exited the locker room looking upset as Grace spotted her sister and pulled her over into a secluded classroom. "Hey...how is everything?" Grace asked as Quinn pulled out the test once they entered the classroom with tears in her eyes.

"What am I going to Gracie?" Quinn said emotionally as Grace pulled her twin into a hug, trying to give her some sort of comfort. She pulled away from her twin after a long, meaningful hug.

"Let's take it one step at a time okay? Maybe we can go to the free clinic and get it officially confirmed," Grace said seriously as Quinn nodded, wiping her eyes.

"That sounds good...that way mom and dad will never know," Quinn said seriously.

"Exactly," Grace smiled as Quinn took a deep breath.

"Can we do it after homecoming? If this really is happening, I just want one last night where I can be queen bee before having to face reality," Quinn said seriously as Grace bit her lip.

"If you think it's best to delay the appointment, but I really think the sooner we get you in, the better," Grace said seriously.

"Please Gracie...I need this," Quinn said emotionally as Grace sighed.

"Okay. Just be careful okay?" Grace said seriously.

"I will be," Quinn assured her sister.

The twins left the astronomy classroom where Quinn tried to keep all of her fears behind her, while Grace knew if the pregnancy test was accurate, Quinn's troubles would only get worse with time. She just hoped Finn would be as supportive of her sister as she needed. Grace didn't have any reason to think Finn wouldn't be there for Quinn but she constantly worried about her sister.

Later that afternoon Grace had spotted a sign up sheet for a new glee club, New Directions which was supposed to be coached by the twins Spanish Teacher, Mr. Schuester. Grace didn't know how much musical knowledge Mr. Schue had, but she figured he had to be better than Mr. Ryerson, right? She noticed 4 names on the sign up sheet, the first two didn't surprise her in her two best friends, Kurt Hummel and Mercedes Jones. The two other names were two freshmen who had recently joined the Singsations in Artie Abrams and Tina Cohen-Chang. Grace looked around hoping none of the jocks or Cheerios were around with a slushie and began to sign her name 'Grace Fabray'. She smiled softly at her name on the sign up sheet, hoping this club would give her life a New Direction.

Grace saw auditions were on Friday, after school. She knew she would have to prepare a song for her tryout. The sign up sheet also said to bring sheet music to the song you wanted to audition with, which Grace figured would be played by Brad, the school's piano player. She headed over to Kurt and Mercedes excitedly.

"Hey guys, do you maybe want to head to Between the Sheets after school today?" she asked in a slightly hushed tone.

"I'm in," Kurt grinned as Mercedes also nodded.

"So am I. I already know what song I'm doing to bring the house down," Mercedes grinned.

"Perfect. I'll see if I can get Quinn to drop me off after school," Grace said seriously.

"There's no need for that. We can go in my car," Kurt offered.

"Don't have to ask me twice," Mercedes chuckled as Grace also nodded as they agreed to meet up after school to pick out their songs for their Glee Club tryouts.

Grace approached Quinn in the hallway "Hey, I just wanted to let you know I don't need a ride after school," she said seriously.

"Oh?" Quinn said, surprised.

"Yeah I'm going to Between the Sheets with Kurt and Mercedes, Kurt's going to drive us," Grace said as Quinn smiled softly.

"Well have fun and don't stay out too late okay?" Quinn said somewhat protectively as Grace chuckled.

"When have I ever stayed out too late?" Grace said, shaking her head.

"You know what I mean," Quinn chuckled at herself, knowing she was being too overprotective.

"See you tonight," Grace smiled as she walked off, leaving Quinn in a tough position. She was glad Grace was hanging out with friends but she was nervous about slipping up with Finn, letting him know that something was up. She wanted to protect him from this for as long as she possibly could deny the truth. She silently hoped he would be too preoccupied with football to notice how incredibly stressed she was, if not, she could always chalk it up to being nervous about winning homecoming queen. Quinn walked off with a fake confidence, something she had only used when they had first moved to Lima, but she knew it was something she was going to have to rely on once again.

Meanwhile, Grace met Kurt and Mercedes after school as the three of them headed to Between the Sheets to get their sheet music. Mercedes quickly picked up an Aretha Franklin music book picking 'Respect' as her audition song, while Kurt looked through the Broadway classics and settled on 'Mr. Cellophane' from Chicago. Grace wasn't sure of exactly what she wanted to audition with. She had grown up on standards which was what she was leaning towards. She began to look through a jazz standards book and decided to pick 'Fly Me to the Moon', a song she had grown up singing, hoping it was the right choice. Though it was originally sung by Frank Sinatra, she thought she could put her own feminine spin on it.

"An old standard, why am I not surprised," Kurt chuckled, noticing Grace's sheet music.

"What can I say, I love the old standards, it's what I grew up on," Grace shrugged.

"Well I think you'll sound great on it," Mercedes said as Grace smiled.

"I could say the same thing for you, you always kill it whenever you sing Aretha," Grace said seriously.

"Maybe I'll finally get some R-E-S-P-E-C-T," Mercedes chuckled as did Grace.

"One can hope," Grace agreed.

"Well I picked a song from the seminal classic, Chicago that I can really show off my range with," Kurt said seriously.

"Well I know it's going to be amazing," Grace smiled softly at her two friends as they headed up to buy their sheet music before heading home.

Grace sat down at the piano and began to play along to the sheet music. Growing up, both twins were taught the piano, while Quinn stopped after it 'wasn't cool anymore', Grace had continued taking lessons and become quite adept at playing, something she had showcased on more than one occasion for the Fabray's dinner parties. Her mom always bragged about Grace's ability and most of their high society friends oohed and ahhed over her, something Quinn had become quite jealous of, until her father started to brag about her too.

Judy then entered while Grace was playing, carrying groceries. "You sound incredible sweetie, was that a new assignment from Miss Russell?" Judy asked as Grace shook her head.

"No actually, I'm going to be trying out for the Glee Club on Friday and I was just playing through the song to get the hang of it before I practiced singing," Grace said honestly.

"Oh, I thought you had already made that little club you were apart up," Judy said surprised.

"I did, but the club is being revamped by another teacher and he asked us to try out," Grace said seriously as her mother nodded.

"Well, I'm sure you'll do wonderfully, you always do," Judy said, patting her daughter's back.

"Thanks mom," Grace smiled before turning around noticing the groceries.

"Need any help?" she offered.

"I always do, thank you," Judy smiled as Grace got up to help her mother.

"It's no trouble, besides I'll need to learn these skills for the future when I have a family of my own someday, right?" Grace said with a shrug as Judy nodded impressed.

"Exactly, I just wish your sister could understand that," Judy said somewhat frustratedly.

"Quinnie's always had her own mind mom, besides, I'm sure she'll take over for daddy one day. I don't think she'd be satisfied about giving up a career when she has a family," Grace said honestly as Judy tsked.

"Well she's going to have to get used to that idea, it's a woman's job to care for the children," Judy said as Grace nodded simply, not wanting to argue with her mother's values the way Quinn did.

"I know mom," Grace said softly, unsure if that was even what she wanted for her future.

Grace had always loved the thought of being the perfect housewife when she was younger, often fantasizing about having a loving family, one much different from her own where everyone knew how loved and supported they were and were encouraged to follow their dreams. Though she still dreamed of having that perfect family, she wanted to make something of herself, especially through her writing or even performing as ballerina. With the conversation of colleges looming, Grace had looked into a number of them in New York City, somewhere she dreamed of living in. Juilliard had always been at the top of her list; many of the world's top ballerinas had graduated from there. But if she had chosen to pursue writing she looked at Columbia, an Ivy League college or NYU. She knew she had two years to decide but she wanted to make her own future instead of settling down after high school like her family had envisioned for her.

She knew she had the grades to get into a top college, she had always been at the top of her class, only behind Mike Chang, whose parents seemed to strive for perfection as much as the Fabrays did but she worried about her family and their control issues, especially her father who seemed to want the girls closer to home but tended to be more lenient towards Quinn. Grace had a feeling the furthest they might let her go would be Ohio Wesleyan University, a small college in Delaware which was north of Columbus which also had a top notch writing program, not that normally she would've minded but she had always wanted to escape being under her father's thumb.

As she continued to help her mother with the groceries and preparing the dinner those thoughts raced through her mind and of course her worries for her twin sister if she wound up pregnant. She knew her father would become even more controlling when he found out and that terrified Grace. Quinn had always been kind of a buffer between them, getting their father to soften and without that, she didn't know what to expect. She said a silent prayer that maybe the pregnancy test was wrong and everything would remain as it was, but the future had other plans.
