The rest of the week was more of the same, with Finn coming up with excuses of why he couldn't ride with the twins, something that seemed to infuriate Quinn the more days that it went on. Something Grace had a feeling had to do with Quinn's hormone levels as with each passing day that she didn't get her period, it became more and more apparent that Quinn was pregnant, not that she wanted to talk about it with homecoming only being a week away. She had been hitting the campaign trail just as hard wanting to secure that she and Finn would win king and queen. Grace knew if Quinn didn't win, it wouldn't go over well.

Rehearsals for the New Directions had also slowly gotten stronger with Finn being the strong male lead that the club had needed. The only thing that worried Grace was the fact that the more Rachel and Finn performed together, the more into him she seemed to become. She knew when Quinn found out he was in Glee, the one thing that would make her incredibly angry was the fact that he was spending so much time singing and performing with Rachel, someone who her sister had felt was after her boyfriend leading to her hatred of the ambitious girl.

It soon was the weekend and Grace was actually looking forward to traveling to Akron with the New Directions. It was their first trip as a newly formed team and she hoped it would help them bond. She knew Vocal Adrenaline was the strongest team in Ohio and possibly in the entire show choir world with them dominating each year at Nationals, winning for 6 consecutive years since they had gotten top direction from Shelby Corcoran, their director. As well as having their own choreographer in Dakota Stanley for 5 of those years.

Mr. Schue and Miss Pillsbury were the chaperones for the event which the club had even gotten a yellow school bus for, something most of the New Directions seemed excited about. Sadly, it wasn't a handicapable accessible bus, so Artie wasn't going to join them on the journey and would be driven to Akron by his dad. The rest of the New Directions quickly paired up for the ride with Rachel quickly inviting Finn to sit with her, which he hesitantly accepted. Kurt and Mercedes, quickly sitting together which left Grace and Tina to sit together on the bus ride.

Grace hadn't gotten much of a chance to know Tina since she was a freshman, only a year behind Grace, besides the fact that she was painfully shy and had a bit of a stutter.

"Is it okay if I sit here?" Grace asked as Tina nodded.

"S-Sure," she smiled softly, scooting over to make room for Grace who sat beside her smiling.

"Thanks," Grace said as Tina nodded again, seeming to go back to listening to her iPod which was full of rock music, something Grace wasn't too surprised by since Tina tended to dress in a more goth style.

Grace was quite the opposite in her taste in music, tending to lean towards listening to the oldies as well as some popular artists, her current favorite being Taylor Swift. She loved the beautiful lyricism of her songs and hoped to write something as stunning as the works Taylor did one day, not that she'd admit that out loud but it was the truth.

Grace ultimately decided to listen to her own iPod, putting it on shuffle which mostly consisted of songs from 'Speak Now' as well as songs from a few different artists who she enjoyed listening to.

The New Directions soon arrived at Carmel High and got off the bus, heading into their auditorium. "Alright, does anyone want to get some concessions before we see the show?" Mr. Schue asked.

"Yeah I could go for some, my mom gave me some money," Finn said.

"I'll get something too," Rachel quickly joined in, getting in line next to Finn.

"Alright, anyone else?" Mr. Schue asked as the rest of the New Directions, including Artie who had joined them shook their heads to say no.

"Why don't you guys go take your seats then? We'll meet you in the auditorium," Mr. Schue said seriously as Tina wheeled Artie to their seats as Mercedes, Kurt, and Grace followed behind them.

They were each handed a program as they went into the theater. "Wow, their auditorium is a lot bigger than ours," Mercedes said, surprised.

"I'll say," Kurt said looking around "They even have balcony seating."

"Yeah it looks like the Ohio Theater," Grace agreed, feeling slightly intimidated by how large their auditorium was, especially since it was packed with people there to see the performance.

As the lights began to flicker, Finn, Rachel, Mr. Schue, and Miss Pillsbury soon got to their seats knowing the show was about to start. Once everyone was settled in their seats Mr. Schue decided to talk to the New Directions.

"Hey, guys, so this is supposed to be our competition, but, I honestly don't think that they've got the talent that we've got. But let's be a good audience, all right? Give 'em some of that old McKinley High respect," Mr. Schue said seriously as the New Directions nodded, knowing they needed to be a good audience no matter what.

"Please give a warm Buckeye State welcome to last year's regional champions, Vocal Adrenaline!" The MC announced as the crowd went wild as Vocal Adrenaline began to perform a choral chant 'Ohio' before bursting into Amy Winehouse's hit song 'Rehab'.

Grace looked incredibly stunned watching their performance, everything about what they did onstage was fantastic from their costumes to the choreography and most importantly their vocals. It was at that moment that she understood why there was such a large draw of people going to see them perform and why they were National Champions for 6 consecutive years. She looked over at her fellow Glee Clubbers who looked just as stunned as she was, if not more stunned and even their director looked concerned about how incredible Vocal Adrenaline truly were.

As Vocal Adrenaline bowed their heads at the end of the song, the crowd was up on their feet, cheering loudly as they gave them a standing ovation.

"We're d-d-doomed," Tina said, summarizing how every single one of the New Directions felt.

As they sat through the rest of the invitational performance with their jaws hitting the floor, Grace couldn't help but worry that this might bring down the moral of the Glee Club, many of them seeming to have less faith in themselves than ever before, even Rachel who was probably the most confident member of the club had seemed shaken up by Vocal Adrenaline's performances, unsure if the New Directions could recover or even beat them at Regionals.

Grace herself wasn't too sure about it either but knew the club at least had to place at Regionals for the club to remain afloat. So, at this point she was hoping they could get enough members to get second place but even that seemed like a pipe dream.

The bus ride home was dead silent with everyone still in shock over how good Vocal Adrenaline were. Grace decided to try to keep her fears at bay and go back to listening to her music, hoping someway, somehow the New Directions could find their footing to even gain enough members to reach Regionals to have a fighting chance of the club remaining intact for the next year, but she wasn't quite sure who would want to join or how they would get there.
