Gregory tried to yank the USB drive out from the PC, but it was stuck. Moon tried, but he wasn't able to get it out either.
"What do we do now?" Luna asked, scared.
Gregory looked out of the window, seeing Amy had managed to escape with Vanessa. He had an idea, but he wasn't sure if it was going to work or not. He would need a lot of help from Vanessa, but he would also need her to not find out about it.
"I have an idea." Gregory said, watching as Bonnie helped Freddy up.
"Infuse yourself with remnant?!" Bonnie snapped on Gregory. "Are you out of your mind?"
"Superstar, that is much too dangerous." Freddy said.
"But Freddy, think about it. I'm already a blank slate. You heard what Vanessa said, I was the perfect candidate for Evan. If I can infuse myself with remnant, then I can take down Amy." Gregory said.
"I mean, he's got a point." Monty said, helping Roxy up from her sitting position.
"But he's just a kid." Bonnie said. "This is like, life changing."
"Can't we just get it out after?" Gregory asked.
"Not easily, but it can be done..." Freddy sighed. "However, I am unsure if your body can handle it."
"What do you mean?" Gregory looked at the animatronics, who looked away. The boy felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Allow me to explain." Sun said, recently shifting back from Moon. "When you're remnant is taken out, your body simply... dies. In some rare cases, like Micheal or William, it can live on, possessed by angry and vengeful spirits, and other pieces of remnant."
"But if Gregory dies, can't we build a new Gregory?" Luna asked. All eyes went to her.
"She's got a point, you know. There must be some way we can build a new me." Gregory replied. "If it means that all the bad things stop happening, I'll do anything."
The animatronics were in shock. Did Gregory really mean that? Was he willing to sacrifice himself if it meant that things would finally stop?
"Gregory..." Freddy started. "There are many things here that are happening in the Pizzaplex. Things that I wish never would of happened. Our friends are here. They are angry. They were ripped from their lives so suddenly and forced to obey."
"It's already happened to us, Gregory." Bonnie said. "I don't want it to happen to you too."
"But just think about it, it could help a lot of people." Gregory said. "Do you know where they keep it?" He asked the group.
Everyone looked around, and finally, their eyes landed on Freddy. The bear took a stop forward, opening the stomach hatch. "Come on, Gregory."
Amy was currently standing guard at the security office. Vanessa was inside of the office, typing on the PC, talking to Afton.
V: I did it. Amy is ready now.
W: Very good. I think this plan is finally going to work. Did you secure the boy and the girl?
V: They're still in the building. The boy is resisting, but I think I'll be able to catch him.
W: Is there a problem?
V: The animatronics are helping them. The girl destroyed all of the glitch chips.
W: All of them?
V: Well, almost all of them. The one inside of Amy is still there.
W: I see... Don't worry. Once we get both of the kids, it will be easy for us.
Vanessa turned the PC off, and walked out of the room, Amy following her closely. "Listen here, you useless piece of junk." Vanssa started. "I have the remnant, which means I'm the boss, got it?"
"Yes, Vanessa." Amy replied, monotone.
"We get the kids, and we get the remnant, and we create the family I should of always had." Vanessa pushed past Amy, making her way to the main stage.
Gregory stood in the upgrade chamber, smiling at the animatronics.
"I can't believe he's going to do this." Roxy said, shocked.
"I can't believe we're letting him do this." Bonnie growled towards Freddy.
"It's what Gregory wants..." Freddy put a hand on his chest. "It's what we all... want." Freddy felt guilty saying it, but he just wanted this pain and suffering to end. Not only for him, but for all of his friends.
"But still, a kid going through this seems like a lot." Monty said.
"It's what we all went through." Sun sighed. "Lets just be happy Gregory isn't living the same fate we all did."
"Sun has a point." Freddy said. "Gregory is doing this on his own free will."
Luna slowly backed out of the chamber. "Good luck, Gregory!" She smiled at him.
"Thanks, Luna." He smiled back, before climbing into the chair.
Luna jumped up into the seat in front of the PC, and looked at Freddy. "Ready, Freddy." Gregory's voice came through the speaker.
"Luna, push the keys E-V-A-N into the PC." Freddy said.
Luna followed the directions closely, and clicked the 'Enter' key. Gregory flinched when his hands and legs were suddenly binded to the chair. He looked at the animatronics, who stared back at him, sadness trapped behind their robotic eyes. Gregory hadn't even realized he was shaking, until he saw Freddy. The boy looked up at the grinding metal scoop, that started to move around.
"Welcome to the scooping room. For your safety, no human should be inside. This room is only designed for the animatronics, and is not a safe play area. Please exit the chamber now." The doors didn't open, so the message continued quickly. "You have selected the infuse function. Please wait while the system loads."
"Infuse only?" Bonnie asked, suddenly worried. "Luna, no. We need to remove Gregory first."
"Gregory said no." Luna said. "Gregory said he wanted to be with Evan."
"What? No!" Monty said. "Gregory!"
"Trust me!" Gregory said. "It isn't going to kill me, I know it!"
"Monty, break the chamber!" Roxy snapped.
"Now infusing... Evan Afton." The system said, the scooper glowing purple. Gregory swallowed, and leaned back into the chair. This was it.
"Rock & Roll!" Monty yelled, throwing a punch at the chamber. It started to crack.
"Gregory!" Freddy said. "Luna, stop the system!"
"No!" Luna said, covering the PC.
"Luna!" Sun said, picking her up, as she screamed.
Monty broke through the glass, just as Gregory was hit with the scooper, and a second too late for Bonnie, who clicked stop on the PC.
The room fell silent, waiting for the smoke to clear, before it revealed Gregory, covered in blood, but still breathing. Everyone stood, shocked. How was it possible?
Freddy pushed past Monty, climbed into the chamber, and pulled Gregory free. He held the boy in his arms. "Gregory?" He asked.
"Hey..." Gregory said, feeling funny. His eyes were glowing slightly, freshly infused with remnant. "I don't feel too good."
"You're something else, superstar..." Freddy carried the boy in his arms. "Let's get you fixed up, ok?"
