Gregory tightened the last bolt, and sat back to admire the work he had done. Finally, the child sized endo skeleton was done. He gave a small sigh of relief and wiped his forehead. A knock on his door was heard, and he covered up the endo skeleton, and opened the door. There stood Luna, smiling.
"Luna? Don't tell me I missed the show again..." Gregory looked at his fazwatch. 10:08pm.
"It's okay, I'm sure you'll get it some day." Luna smirked. "Can I see it now?"
"No, you can't see it now. Besides, I need to sleep. I have to be up early tomorrow to work on the exterior." Gregory said, coming out of the room.
"Exterior?" Luna practically jumped with joy. "So the endo is done!"
"Me and my big mouth..." Gregory said, groaning as he walked in front of Luna to the kitchen area.
"The endo is finished in only a week? That's amazing! You're really fast!"
"Technically, I'm really slow." Gregory replied. "I should of been done forever ago."
"You're not a tech, Gregory." Luna rolled her eyes. "So, you're fast. Not only that, but you're working alone."
Gregory sighed as he hopped up on a bar stool. The staff bot rolled over. "Good evening, Gregory." It said. "What can I get for you?"
"A hot chocolate please." Gregory replied.
"Me too!" Luna smiled.
"Of course. Two hot chocolates, coming right up."
Gregory let himself get lost in thought while Luna rambled on about something. The night of his birthday still played in his mind, on repeat. Was Gregory really like Afton? Why did he feel sympathy for Afton? Not only that, but was making this body for Evan something Gregory wanted, or something Evan felt he needed?
"Gregory!" Luna's call snapped him back to reality. "You're spilling it."
"Ah!" Gregory yelled. "Staff bot, that's enough hot chocolate!" He said, the hot chocolate poured all over the bar table. Luna laughed, as the staff bot rolled away.
Gregory had finished his hot chocolate with Luna, helped clean the mess, and made his way back to his room to take a shower. Why did he feel this way?
"Evan?" He asked.
"Yes?" Evan's voice rang in his head.
"Do you think I'm just making your dads dream come true...?" He looked at his hands, water from the shower rushing through his finger tips.
"I think you're giving me a chance at a life I never got to have."
"I want to make it so you can grow to whatever age you desire." Gregory said.
"I want to stay a kid forever." Evan replied.
"I can do that." Gregory said, clenching his fist. "If that's what you want, I'll make sure it happens."
The boy finished his shower, dried off, and climbed into bed. Now he knew what Evan wanted, and he would make sure that it would happen.
Luna had already been tucked in for the night by Amber. The girl, however, couldn't sleep. She was currently looking at her Sun and Moon night lamp, confused. What was going on in Gregory's head that made him so absent minded lately? Was it something she had done? What could she of possibly done?
"What is this feeling I'm feeling, Mr. Moon?" She asked her night lamp. Of course, no answer came, and she sighed, laying back down and staring up at her cieling.
Everything felt wrong. Gregory acting strange, the fact that they had met Afton, the things that man had said to them. "Wait..." She sat up, and looked at the lamp again. "The things Mr. Afton said to us." She got up, and walked over to her closet, opening it.
Inside, there was a body mirror, and she stood facing herself. She did look a lot like the late Elizabeth. Was this what Afton wanted? A family? That was the same thing Luna was after. She had Amber now, but she still missed her sister dearly. When Afton saw Luna, it must of reminded him of Elizabeth. She knew the feeling of losing her family member all too well.
"Luna, is it?" A voice rang in her head, snapping her back to reality. She looked in the mirror, only to see that her reflection was moving on it's own. "Don't be afraid." It was a female voice, but not one that she recognized. She had an accent.
"Elizabeth?" Luna asked.
"So you do know me." Her reflection spoke back.
"But, how are we talking?"
"I'm dead, remember?" The girl asked.
"Oh, right..." Luna felt awkward. "Why are you talking to me?"
"I think maybe my daddy is upset with me. After all, I did go play with her when I wasn't supposed to." She replied.
"Her?" Luna asked.
"He made her for me. She was making ice cream, and then..."
Luna gasped as she shot awake in her bed. A dream? It was all a dream? How was it a dream? She ran over to her closet and ripped it open, only to see her own reflection staring back at her, copying her movements.
The bedroom door opened, and Amber walked in. "Luna? Why are you awake?" Luna ran over, tears streaming down her face as she hugged Amber tightly. "Luna?" The woman knelt down. "Did you have a nightmare? Why don't you come sleep with me?" Amber turned off the Sun & Moon lamp, and carried Luna into her room.
