Gregory pulled the most critical parts of Clara's programming out, and tucked it into his backpack. He then took a step back and sighed. Luna had worked really hard on this. He was shocked that he hadn't said anything to him at all. "Monty."
"What's up?" The gator asked.
"I need the remnant infuser."
"What? Why? Didn't we just destroy Clara's new body?"
"I need to infuse Luna's remnant into me, so I can talk to her. We had each other last time, we're gonna need each other this time too." The boy said, walking back towards the main stage to head back upstairs.
"Is this really a good idea?" Amber asked, on their way back up.
"Yes. This is the safest thing we can do. Who knows what Elizabeth is doing to Luna's body? If Afton gets a hold of Luna's remnant, that would also be bad. We need to use that to our advantage."
They made their way back to the main entrance, explained the plan to everyone else, and executed it. Gregory coughed, being hit in the chest one too many times tonight, and took a few shaky breaths as he waited for Luna's voice to come through. Freddy did a quick scan over Gregory, seeing that it also showed Luna as present.
"She's there, but she isn't responding." Freddy said.
"At least she's here." Gregory said, trying to look at the bright side of things. He pulled the lollipop pendant on and sighed. "As long as Afton thinks Luna's in here, we can use it to our advantage. We need to do this right." He looked at the remnant gun and paused. "Do this right..."
"Gregory?" Bonnie asked.
"I... No, nothing." He put the remnant gun into this bag. "Let's go get Luna."
He made his way to the basement stair well and groaned. "We've been down here way to many times lately." He said, looking at Freddy.
"Well, this is where all the things we wish not to speak of are."
"Real nice way to talk about your friends there, Fred." Bonnie rolled his eyes.
"What? Am I wrong?" Freddy watched Bonnie head down the stairs, Gregory on his shoulder. "Please tell me if I am wrong."
Bonnie, Freddy and Gregory reached the basement, and began looking around. The first thing they noticed was that the pizzeria door was locked, meaning they couldn't get in that way. Bonnie and Freddy shared a look before looking at their son. "You might need to go in alone from here, Superstar." Freddy said. "Bonnie and I would make too much noise going in through the roof."
"There should be a vent system up there, similar to how it's laid out upstairs. The problem is, we don't have any map for this place, since it's been so long that it's been shut down." Bonnie ruffled Gregory's hair. "We'll be right here."
"But, you don't have a charging station down here." Gregory said.
"There's stations inside of the pizzeria." Freddy said. "As soon as you're in, unlock the door, and we will come and assist you. Switch your Fazwatch over to the other channel, so we can stay in contact."
"The other channel!" Gregory said, quickly changing his settings. "Evan, can you hear me?" He waited for a response, but only received static. "Evan?"
"He might have his settings on the main channel still, as I can hear you." Freddy explained. "That, or... Well... I don't want to think of that."
"Bonnie, give me a lift." Gregory said, looking up at a vent on the side of the pizzeria.
"Be careful." Bonnie said, lifting him up. Gregory climbed in and disappeared. "Good luck..." Freddy put a paw on Bonnie's shoulder.
Gregory tried to be as quiet as possible, but the vents were still kinda loud. He was more worried that his weight would make the whole vent shaft cave in. Not only that, but the smell of the place was horrible. What could he expect though? There was so many things wrong with this place, not to mention crust-trap was down here, rotting away.
"Why are we in a vent?" Gregory almost jumped out of his skin when Luna appeared in front of him. He had forgotten that spirits were visible down here, meaning Luna would obviously be able to be seen by not just him, but everyone else.
"Are you crazy? Keep your voice down." Gregory glared at her. "What the hell took you so long to wake up?"
"I'm sure it wasn't the angry vengeful spirit taking over my body." Luna rolled her eyes. "Speaking of which, why am I with you?"
"It's a long story Luna." Gregory said. "To make it short, Elizabeth has your body, and we need to get it back. Evan's here too, somewhere."
"Evan? He has a body now?" Luna was confused. "What the hell did I miss? Wait, where's Clara?"
"Well, Clara's pendant is with your body, so with Afton, and Clara's body, which by the way, thanks for keeping that a secret." The boy glared. "That, is taken apart so it can't be used against us."
"We'll talk about that later. I don't like this feeling. It's really hallow inside of you." Luna said, before her form vanished.
"That's because I don't have my own remnant." Gregory sighed, and began his crawl through the vents once again.
Evan and Elizabeth squirmed in the grip of the re-programmed staff bots. While there was no longer a code, these bots were programmed to do as Afton said. Two more bots rolled out an animatronic body, making Elizabeth and Evan stop squirming and gasp in fear.
"Once I combine my remnant with this... It's game over, for everyone who tried to put shame to the Afton name." He said, turning towards the kids.
"Father, you can't!" Elizabeth said. "What if Evan's right? This is all absurd!"
"Silence, Elizabeth!" Afton snapped. "I want... My family..." He looked at the animatronic body and sighed. "Now it's finally time..." He took another shaky step towards the animatronic body and put a paw on its shoulder.
"Father please... Reconsider." Elizabeth begged.
"Elizabeth." Afton said, growling.
"This is insane!" Evan shouted. "If this is the kind of life you want, then I don't want it!"
Gregory was watching the whole scene unfold from the vent shaft. Afton... Built a body? He switched his Fazwatch to silent, and sent a message over to Freddy. This was crazy, and what was even worse was that Afton still wanted Gregory's body.
Freddy: Are you sure? That's a big task for Afton, considering the state he's in now
Gregory: I'm sure. There's some staff bots that are working for him.
Freddy: Change of plans, Superstar. We need to get Clara's pendant now.
Gregory: No, we need to destroy that body.
Freddy: No. Going after him now is too risky, don't do it.
Gregory was conflicted. He had to destroy that body, but he also needed Clara's pendant. He was getting upset. This was all so stupid. What was he supposed to focus on? Luna's body? Clara's remnant? Afton's crazy scheme?
"I need your friends help, Evan." Afton said, catching Gregory's attention. "He was able to build you, which means he has a remnant machine active... I need it."
"I won't help you!" Evan yelled.
"I don't think you have a choice." Aftons voice became low and broken towards the end of his words. His eyes flashed purple, making Evan scream. Gregory gasped, and quickly covered his mouth.
"No... Evan!" Elizabeth yelled as her brother shook in pain. "What did you do?!"
"Don't worry, Elizabeth... He's still an Afton, after all." The man laughed evilly.
