Dimitri did most of the talking with Christain, We agreed that we would start trying sometime this week. I felt weird about having to go to a human doctor though. I mean, I understood why… The whole 'dhampirs and dhampirs can't have kids and it would be frowned upon' argument.
Going to a human doctor would be better because there is no guarantee that the surrogacy would work, therefore there's no real point in taking hate at court if the surrogacy fails. We will only tell people if it works…
I was most worried about my job and how a child would interfere with that. Liss is putting me on easy guardian work after we see the Human doctor. She says it's just in case it works but my job technically wouldn't hurt me… No one would be stupid enough to attack Lissa, Especially after the whole Tasha and Tatianna situation.
Dimitri and I talked a lot before making plans to sneak away to our human doctor, he wanted to make sure I was okay with the whole situation… Which I was. Lissa is disguising a trip as a way for us to go to the doctor. Christain would go away on 'Business' and Lissa wanted to give him extra protection by putting Dimitri and me as his guardians. I've never really guarded him before, so it was an awkward but decent excuse.
After packing up and such, we were off. With normal guardian clothes on, we left the castle at midnight. Well- midnight for us... midday for humans. All ran smoothly as we made our way through the courtyard and to the gate to get let out. When we got there in our car, Dimitri identified himself as a guardian for Christain, who was going away on business.
We made it past the barrier, with some moroi help of course. We left the property rather quickly, I sat in the back next to Christain, There was another guardian on the other side of him… He would be staying in the car for a while. We got to the motel and got out of the car.
Dimitri took hold of my hand, mine in his as we made our way to the front desk. Christian pulled out an umbrella, it wasn't raining but he definitely didn't want a tan. Dimitri and I walked on either side of Christain, we tried to appear as friends rather than his guards.
Christian received some… odd looks from people given his odd use of the umbrella, but we continued on until we arrived at the front of the motel, walking in.
Christain paid for one room, two beds. We were going to have to wait a bit until the sun was lower for Christain to be comfortable with. We got our keys and walked into our rooms.
I casually jumped on one of the beds, sighing. I looked at Dimitri and
Christain who had just entered behind me. "So, you two are close enough to be in the same bed right? We all know Christan needs someone to hold him at night, and it won't be me." I smirked, I managed to get a chuckle out of Dimitri who was looking at Christian's unsatisfied face.
"I think I can last one night," Christan said, making his way to sit on his bed. "The appointment isn't for a few more hours. So what? what do we do?" He questioned.
I wanted to go and do something but I knew Christan wouldn't want to leave. Since he wasn't leaving, that means that Dimitri won't leave either. "Does anyone have a deck of cards or like…anything?"
Dimitri shrugged, of course, he was no fun. Christain pulled out a deck and tossed it to me. I shuffled through the deck, I don't know why I asked for cards… I don't really know any card games.
"Does anyone know how to play blackjack?", I say looking around the room hopefully.
Dimitri sat down on the bed behind me, taking the cards from my hand. "Roza, You don't know how to play half the card games we do" Bitch
"Why do you think I was asking" I quipped back.
"We can't play if you don't know how-" Dimitri chuckled, Shuffling the cards as if i didn't just do it. "I think it would be in your best interest if we stuck to go fish"
I sighed in defeat, slightly elbowing him. "Bitch" I mumbled into his ear, only loud enough for him to hear. Luckily, he didn't take me seriously but that was becoming a normal occurrence.
He laughed slightly as he dealt the cards for Go fish. We played a few rounds, I, of course, dominated at go fish, it was a child's game and I do often act like one… Might as well win like on, I had a slight suspicion that Dimitri was intentionally losing to lighten my mood but I didn't question him, and it was kinda working.
We were getting ready for another round when Dimitri's phone went off with our alarm to start heading over to the doctors. I knew what it was when I heard it, I was still kinda nervous.
I felt Dimitris body stiffen, "I guess this is our cue to go," Dimitri said, getting up and out of the bed.
We made our way out to the car and piled in. The car ride there wasn't too eventful considering what we all had on our minds. "So Christain, what part is the scariest here? Having to masturbate into a cup?" I looked at him, attempting to lighten the mood. I hear Dimitri chuckle from the front seat.
"Well, it mostly has to do with the fact of you knowing I'm doing it." He said with a smirk.
"Won't be the first time I've heard your groans and moans, sparky. I see through Lissa's eyes all the time… Imagine the images that are ingrained in my head? Traumatizing me." I look at him with an even bigger smirk on my face.
At this point, Dimitri was dying of laughter in the front seat. "I'm traumatized when she tells me about it- the details she can go into…" Dimitri sighed
"And you listen?!" He said, almost yelling.
"Even I can't get her to stop talking" Dimitri basically yelled back. He wasn't wrong.. I usually vent to him after traumatizing experiences and seeing Christain naked is pretty traumatizing.
The rest of the car ride was mainly us laughing and making fun of Christain. I was very happy when we arrived, Talking to them both really lightened my mood.
We get out of the car and start making our way inside. Once inside the smell of sanitation hits me hard. We check-in and are led back to the room.
The doctor came in a minute later, "So you want to consider…" he looks down at his clipboard and them back up, "Surrogacy, May I ask why?"
Dimitri looked at me and then back at the doctor, "We have been trying to have kids but nothing has worked. We went to go see a doctor and I was told I was the reason. So we came here so that we would have the chance to have kids, even if I am not the biological father."
The doctor nods and looks at me, "I would first like to get you checked, Like a normal check-up and a urine sample would be needed. If you don't mind?" I slowly nod and stand up. "Please follow me miss, the rest of you may stay here." He says as I look back at Dimitri, I know it's me peeing but part of me still wanted him to come with me.
He leads me out and to a bathroom, handing me a cup. "Could you please pee in this?" I take it and go into the bathroom, coming out a few minutes later and handing it to him. God this was awkward.
"Do you remember your way back to the room?" I nod. I make my way back and walk-in, none of us saying a word. I sat back on the thing, Dimitri walked over and stood next to me.
It must have been about five minutes when the doctor pokes his head in and asks me to come outside, specifically telling Christan and Dimitri to stay in the room. With the door closed he looks at me, "Rosemarie, did you have any idea that you are already pregnant?"
