The sun was setting, filling the sky with beautiful hues of orange and pink. Natasha sat on a rock, watching as the sun slowly went down. It was nice to relax after a whole day of work. She had helped the others hand out tents, blankets and more food. And finally everyone was settling down in their spaces to sleep. She could tell Thor's people were exhausted from what they had been through and the journey here.

The plan for the Avengers was to stay in tents until it was time to go home. They didn't want to leave the people here unprotected, especially on their first day here. Once things were more prepared, they would head home and get the proper rest they deserved.

Natasha sighed and stood up from her rock, turning to walk towards her tent where she was sleeping alone. Across from her tent was where Thor and Loki would sleep and to the right of it was where the others would stay. But since she was the only girl, she got her own space-which she was glad about.

Once Natasha was in front of her tent, she unzipped the front and climbed in, zipping the door closed again. The inside wasn't very big, but it was cozy. A small, battery-run lantern hung from the highest point of the tent, casting a soft yellow glow on everything. In the middle of the floor was a sleeping bag, a blanket and a pillow. She slipped her shoes off and left them by the exit, turning the lantern off and climbing into her sleeping bag. After a few moments, Natasha fell into a light sleep.

The soft sound of voices woke Natasha up the next day. She crawled groggily out of her sleeping bag, brushing her hands through her hair in an attempt to make it look decent. After trying for a few seconds, she gave up and put her hair into a ponytail. She slipped on her shoes and stepped outside, the early morning sun washing over her as she did so.

Most of the Asgardians were sitting outside their tents, eating breakfast that Natasha assumed S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had handed out to them. Thor stood talking to groups of them, Loki by his side.

Tryin to avoid contact with Thor and Loki, she went up to the boxes where the leftover food was and took some breakfast consisting of a chocolate muffin, an apple and a box of apple juice.

"Good morning," Thor called, apparently finished talking to the other people. He walked over to her.

"Good morning," she said, disappointed in failing her own task to avoid him. Taking a bite from her muffin, she sat down on the grass and looked up at him. "How is everything going?"

"Many of my people are still mourning the loss of their home and some the loss of family. But they are doing better, especially since they have food and shelter."

"That's good that they're doing better. I feel sorry for all of your losses, but I'm glad that I can help these people."

"Thank you. That truly means a lot."

"You're welcome," Natasha smiled.

"I have heard from the agents of Fury that my people will be provided jobs, but relocation will be very likely. They said I can help find places for them to live, and I have already gone over some locations for permanent residence."

"Do you have a place in mind?"

"Yes, I was thinking Tønsberg in Norway. Norway has a very special connection to us. Fury told me that a due to an incident a few years ago, the town is mostly unpopulated."

Natasha smiled and went back to eating her muffin. Thor grabbed his own breakfast and sat next to her.

"Loki! Come eat with us," Thor called out after a few seconds of silence.

Loki had been awkwardly standing off to the side, neither talking to anyone or looking at anyone. After a moment of what seemed like he was weighing his options, Loki walked over to them and grabbed some breakfast.

"Sit, Brother," Thor said, patting a spot in the grass that was next to him.

Loki rolled his eyes and reluctantly sat next to Thor, not sending even a mere glance Natasha's way.

Natasha forced herself to finish her muffin quickly and down the little juice box. She stood up abruptly. "I have to go."

"Oh? Really?" Thor asked. "See you later then!"

Natasha forced a smiled and walked away. Why did she always end up around Loki? Sure, Thor was glad to have his brother around-especially since he was all Thor really had left. But still, did he have to bring Loki around her?

She had a good reason not to like him. He had ruined the lives of many, and would have ruined many more if he hadn't have been stopped. He had taken Clint and controlled him, threatening to have him kill her. And the most unsettling thing was how much he actually knew about her and her past.

~~~
Loki had been listening to Thor and Agent Romanoff's conversation, trying to seem natural by staring out over the fields of grass. So far, they had said nothing of interest. Thor had already told him about the relocation to Norway, so that wasn't a surprise.
"Loki! Come eat with us," Thor called to him, halting his thought process.
Loki stood there for a minute, considering whether or not to pretend he didn't hear Thor. He finally decided to go to him; he was hungry for breakfast after all. And, maybe if he got the chance, he would use his wonderful skill of annoying people to try and belittle Agent Romanoff.
Turning away from where he was standing, he walked over to the box full of food. Taking his breakfast, he went and stood next to Thor, completely ignoring the existence of Agent Romanoff.
"Sit, brother," Thor said, patting a spot on the ground next to him. He reminded Loki of a child during lunch break, trying to get his friend to eat with him.
Loki rolled his eyes at the thought and sat down reluctantly, worried that he might ruin his clothes on the grass.
Once he was seated, he glanced at Agent Romanoff who was eating quicker now. After she drank her juice, she swiftly stood up.
"I have to go," she said, with what Loki guessed was an annoyed tone to her voice.
"Oh? Really?" Thor asked. "See you later then!"
Agent Romanoff smiled at Thor and walked away.
"What was that about?" Loki mutter.
"Probably you," Thor answered bluntly. "There is no reason for you two to hate each other as much as you do, Loki. What has she done to you?"
Loki sighed, eating his breakfast and ignoring Thor.
"Well?" Thor asked.
"I just do not like her," Loki answered.
"If this is about New York, when you were here last, don't you think it's time to move on? That was quite some time ago, brother. And in life, you need to move on from things like that-especially considering that you were the one at fault."
Loki sighed again. It was true that that had happened a long time ago. Things had changed since then, whether people wanted to believe it or not. He had changed to. So why was it so hard to let go of the past and move on?
"It takes time to heal wounds, brother. They will heal one day, no matter what it is and who's fault it was." Thor said, standing up and walking away.
Loki snorted. It wasn't really a wound-well at least not really. All it was was a blow to his pride, one that he wasn't sure he could forget about. And not to mention, every time he was around Agent Romanoff, he had the desire to annoy her and make her feel inferior, just like she did to him back in the stupid glass cage. He also hated the whole "I'm better than you" act that she gave him. It wasn't like her past was much better than his, and they both had blood on their hands. Sighing in frustration, he shoved the thoughts out of his head and went to continue his day.
AN: Hi guys! Sorry for the short and not-so-great chapter. I've been struggling with really bad writer's block and can't get any ideas out. Also, I apologize for any plot holes with the Asgardians. I didn't really know where to keep them because I knew they couldn't stay in a random field somewhere and always get their food and water from the avengers or shield. So relocation was the only way I could think to take care of them realistically. If you have any questions about the plot, leave it here and I'll do my best to answer it. (Hopefully the next chapter will clear a few things up too)
I Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Leave a review if you did :)
