Tariq frowned as Lucas handed him the phone Ros had transferred the information from Imran's phone to. It looked pretty basic as far as he could see as he turned it over in his hands he listened intently to what Lucas was asking him to do. Nodding slightly his dark hair fell in his eyes.
"Download the data and then unencrypt it."
"Is that possible?"
Tariq raised his eyebrows. "Really?"
"Sorry." Lucas smirked. "How long?"
"Er, could take a while."
"Estimate." Ros snapped. Tariq took a deep breath.
"Five minutes. Maybe six."
Tariq watched as Lucas smirked. Ros glared for a moment before a slight smile crossed her lips.
"Just get it done." She turned away as a clearly angry looking Harry marched onto the Grid followed by Ruth and Dimitri. Ruth followed Harry into the office just as he closed the door behind them and closed the blinds. "Trouble in Paradise?" Ros muttered under her breath as she watched them. Tariq shrugged.
"Oh yeah. You two were out."
"Ruth faced off against Peterson." Dimitri explained. "She was amazing."
"Ruth?" Ros frowned. "No wonder Harry isn't happy." She glanced over to the office as Malcolm appeared carrying mugs of tea. He sighed heavily as he realised that the blinds had been drawn.
"Oh dear."
"Yeah," Dimitri sighed. "Yeah you could say that."

Ruth stood the other side of Harry's desk as he watched her for a moment. He had been quiet since he had walked away from the interview room, as he sat on the chair behind his desk she noticed he had barely looked at her either.
"You think they swapped crimes? Like some Agatha Christie plot?"
"Ruth."
"Harry."
"You were specifically told not to go near him. Dimitri and Alec are more than capable of getting the information we need." His voice was low, almost a growl as Ruth narrowed her eyes.
"But they didn't." Ruth kept her voice firm. "You know and I know we are running out of time. We still don't know where this Jamie idiot is. If your theory is right he could be planning anything. If he knows we have Peterson, if." She paused as Harry appraised her. "He could go after Catherine."
"You directly disobeyed an order."
"I'm sorry. I didn't realise it was one." Ruth snapped. "Seeing as you had been kissing me just before you asked me. Asked me."
"Ruth I."
"You weren't saying it as my Senior. You were asking me as my husband."
"Ruth."
She shook her head angrily. "I know you told me not to talk to him. But we need the information. It isnt just about me, is it? This Jamie has fallen off the radar. He's known our Catherine for years. Years and he is dangerous." She looked him in the eye. "You know it and I know it. There is no way we can be cautious with this. He already sent Peterson to kill her."
"Ruth."
"Stop saying my name." She huffed as she folded her arms across her waist. "I disobeyed a direct order. If it were Zoe or Beth in here you would not be glaring at me while repeating my name."
Harry ran a hand over his face, eyes closed for a moment as he considered what to say next. Ruth paused.
"You are not Zoe or Beth." He paused. "I expect them, like Ros to listen to my orders as their Section Head and then go off and do exactly what they want. Difference is. THEY ARE FIELD OFFICERS. Trained interviewers. You are."
"The bloody analyst." Ruth snapped. "Yes, I know." She turned on her heel as she headed for the door. Harry was there before her, his hand on her back.
"You are the analyst. You are also more intelligent than that lot out there put together." He had his hand on the door, blocking her progress. She glanced at him, eyes narrowed. Angry. "If anything." He paused. "Anything happened to you."
"I was safe. Alec was there. Dimitri was there." She sighed, suddenly realising how scared Harry was. He swallowed hard. "Harry. I."
"Yes, I would treat you differently to the others who were there. You know why that is Ruth?" His voice was low in her ear as she closed her eyes. "Because they are trained field officers who face off against scum like Peterson every day. Because you were told not to go in there. Because you disobeyed a direct order." He brushed her hair away from her neck as she felt the hand on his back move away from her. "As your husband. Ruth, as." He paused. "As your husband I couldn't breathe if anything happened to you. If."
She turned, her lips on his for a second before she rested her palm on his cheek.
"Nothing will happen to me. Nothing." She paused. "Listen to me. I am not trained the same way the field officers are. You know that. But I am an analyst. I needed to see him to work out what was going on. I had to."
"Analyse him?" Harry sighed as Ruth smiled slightly.
"Yes."
"And if you got hurt?"
"If it stops others being hurt. If it stops Catherine being hurt." She sighed. "You would have done the same."
He nodded before pulling her into his arms. Ruth buried her head in his chest as he breathed in her perfume. "I love you."
"I know." She mumbled.

Calum picked up the phone on the third ring just as Ruth returned to her desk. Listening to the caller he pressed a few keys on the computer infront of him. A screen saver disappeared allowing the 'call trace' programme he had worked on with Tariq to fill the screen. Before he could say a word the caller hung up the phone.
"Got you." Callum paused before yelling to Ros and Adam. Seconds later they were heading out of the Grid.
