The Beginning of the Long Wait
In the morning
All 3 of them were unable to sleep different thoughts swirling through their mind of what will happen in the coming days.
Daya and Salunkhe got ready and went to hospital whereas Acp sir went to bureau as he knew his presence wouldn't be welcomed at the hospital.
Daya and Salunkhe sir went to Dr. Shlok's cabin
Daya - Good morning doctor
Shlok - Good morning Mr. Daya, Good morning Dr. Salunkhe please have a seat.
Daya - Thank you
Shlok - Mai janta tha aap update lene zaroor ayenge...Sab taiyariya ho chuki hai aj dopahar 2 baje abhijeet ji ka dusra operation hai.
Salunkhe - Dr. kya mai operation se pehle ekbar abhijeet ke vital reports dekh sakta hoon.
Shlok - sure why not main nurse se kehta wo she'll show you the reports.
Salunkhe - Thank you Dr.
Shlok - it's alright sir no need for formalities
Daya - Dr kya hum abhijeet ki ekbar dekh sakte hai please!!
Shlok - Waise iss time visitors allowed to nhi hai but kyu ki ye special case hai I'll make an exception...lekin aap dono saath mein nhi jaa sakte only one at a time... Aiye mere sath
And they went towards ICCU
Salunkhe - tum jao daya tumhara milna sabse zyada zaroori hai.
Daya have him a thankful nod and entered the cabin
His heart broke to see abhijeet in a condition like this but he knew that he had to be strong for the upcoming war.
Daya - kya yaar tumne to pura intezam kar liya tha nikalne ka...kyu boss itni bhi kya jaldi thi...Aur tumne socha bhi kaise ke tumhe aise jaane dunga main...ekbar tumne cheating ki thi wo sholay wala stunt karke aur iss bar phir se waisa hi kuch karne wale the kyu...lekin ek baat dhyan se sunlo mere bina tum kahi nhi ja rahe.
Boss tumne uss din jane se pehle kaha tha ek faisla zaroor ho jayega...tumhe pata tha na ke agar aisi situation ayegi to acp sir goli zaroor chalayenge...phir bhi tum!!!
Mai akhri baar keh raha tumse abhijeet chup chap sahi salamat wapas aa jao warna dekhna bohot bura hoga tumhare liye...(And he starts to tear up) wapas aa jao boss please...mai nhi reh payunga yaar.
Ek aur baat acp sir pe enquiry baithi hai headquarters se..unhe kisi ne shooting ka proof bhej diya...koi puri Koshish kar raha hai humare team ko todne ki...Kamal hai na boss!! Humare Dushman ki bhi pata tha me acp sir goli chalayenge itni foolproof planning...mukhe andaza to hai ke kon ho sakta hai lekin koi pakka saboot nhi...Ek aur baat ho mujhe khatak rahi hai wo ye hai ke tumhare begunaahi ka saboot humein kuch zyada asani se mil gaya...ye sab ek bohot bare plan ka hissa hai aur main wada karta hun ke pata laga ke rahunga.
Boss acp sir jo enquiry baithi hai Mai pehle hi keh deya hu main unke support nhi karunga..chahe tum jitna bhi naraz ho jayo..jo bhi unhone kiya uske liye mai kabhi unhe maaf nai karunga..
Ab Mai chalta hu boss..oparation ke time aa jayunga...aur haan tumhare fav dr. ko andar bhej raha hu so enjoy!!!

Salunkhe nodded and went in
Salunkhe - kyu bhai abhijeet itni bhi kya pareshani thi humese ke sidha bistar pakad liya...ej baat batata hoon mai tumhara naam Guinness book of world record mein dunga...bhai tum india ke pehle aise patient honge jispe self induced coma ka procedure kiya gaya ho...
Acha baba sorry janta hoon bura joke tha aise serious hone ki zaroorat nhi hai!!!
Tum aise bilkul acje nhi lagte abhijeet...tum mano ya na mano mai bhi tumhe apna bete jaisa hi manta hoon..ha mujhe pata hai bohot dil dukhaya hai maine tumhara lekin mera yakeen mano mujhe pachtawa hai ialiye sayad mai ab tumse nazre bhi nhi mila pata...maine aj tak sabke samne kabhi tumhara saath nhi diya lekin iss bar mera waada hai tumse ki mai tumhare saath hoon chahe isme mujhe apne sabse jigri dost ke khilaaf kyu na jaana pade.
And he fared his hand on abhijeet's forehead and came out of the ICCU
Salunkhe - chale daya
Daya - ha sir bas ek bar dr. Shlok ko bata doon ke mai operation ke time aa jayunga
Salunkhe - mai nhi daya hum aa jayenge..tum iss ladai main akele nhi ho
Daya - aap acp sir ke saath nhi denge
Salunkhe - nhi daya iss baar nhi
Daya just nodded and they went to the doctors cabin
Daya - dr. Shlok hum nikal rahe hai operation ke waqt aa jayenge
Shlok - ok Mr. Daya and dr. Salunkhe here the reports you asked for
Salunkhe - Thank you dr. (Checking the reports thoroughly) it seems everything is in order
Shlok - yes Dr it is...dont worry we are talking the utmost precaution for this case
Daya - we are really grateful doctor
Shlok - there's no need for that Mr. Daya after all we took the hippocratic oath so it's our duty towards Mr. abhijeet
Salunkhe and daya left and reached the bureau
Daya - mai apko dopahar Mai pick karta hoon
Salunkhe - thik hai daya...aur daya zara shanti se deal karna
Daya fully understanding the meaning only said - Koshish karunga lekin koi guarantee nhi de sakta
And they both left for their respective offices
Daya entered the bureau and everyone jumped him with questions regarding abhijeet
Daya - ek min ek min ruk jai sab main batata hoon...dekh aya hum abhijeet ki sab kuch normal hai aj 2 baje uska dusra operation hoga
Freddy - thik hai sir phir hum chalrnge phir uss waqt
Daya - are nhi Freddy iski koi zaroorat nhi hai Mai aur Salunkhe sir ja rahe hai aur Waise bhi waha sabka koi kaam nhi..aur wo log abhi abhijeet se milne bhi nhi denge tumlog kal visiting hours mein aa jana
Everyone nodded their heads and went back to work
Acp was meanwhile observing everything from his office and very badly wanted to go out and inquire about abhijeet's condition but he knew that daya would not be happy with that so he restrained himself but then he saw daya approaching him
Daya - may i come in sir?
Acp sir - are daya aao na
Daya - Good morning sir and ask very sorry to reach beureau at this hour but it was important for me to visit the hospital first
Acp sir - kaisi baat kar rahe ho daya..Kya main nhi janta tum kaha haye hoge tum koi explanation dene ke zaroorat nhi
Daya - zaroorat hai sir...akhir aap apne usulo ke itne pakke hai to mai kaise justification na doon...Kal ko kya pata late aane ke liye aap mujhe suspend karde ya phir goli chala de
Acp sir just kept starting at him he know that there was no point in arguing with Daya... And he also felt his heart breaking because he knew that he lost his son and had done irreparable damage to their relationship so he just nodded and said It's ok daya you can continue with your work.
Daya - Thank you sir and also i would need to leave arms around 1.30 as I have to reach the hospital
Acp sir - no problem
Daya left the cabin and acp sir just looked on realising that for the first time in his life he had felt this helpless...He didn't know what to do and how to repair or mend anything. A mere apology would not suffice and now he could only hope that when abhijeet wakes up he would be forgiving enough to accept what he has done wrong...
At around 1.30pm daya left for the hospital and acp sir juat kept looking at him going...he so wished that he could join them but his mere presence near abhijeet is not welcomed right now by anyone so he decided to call dr. Shlok
Shlok - hello this is dr. Shlok
Acp sir - hello doctor acp pradyuman speaking
Shlok - Ohh acp sir...what can I do for you?
Acp sir - i just wanted an update on abhijeet's health
Shlok now confused asked - didn't mr. Daya update you regarding this
Acp sir - i was out of the office due to a meeting and by the time i came back daya had already left for the hospital so i couldn't get an update from him so can you fill me in?
Shlok - oh ok!!! Sure acp sir...abhijeet's second operation is scheduled at 2 o'clock so we are preparing for that
Acp sir - alright doctor and one more thing can you keep me posted regarding this?
Shlok - sure sir
And they hung up
Daya and salunkhe reached the OT corridor when they saw abhijeet being wheeled in
They had a quick glance at him and gelt heur hearts breaking all over again.
Shlok came there and assured them with his eyes and gave them a polite nod and went inside.
Daya and salunkhe noticed the familiar red light of that OT blinking and started their beginning of that long wait which they know is to come in their lives!!!
So that was it guys and i know that this more of a filler chapter but in order to get into the worrying groove i needed to do this otherwise i wouldn't have able to write anything...i hope that this chapter is not too boring
And i do hope that I finish this story this time!!!
