Fire broke out. There was smoke everywhere. Heiji was barely able to stand up to see what's going. But only the sounds of the fire alarms reached him. this was his chance to get out but there was no way for him to open the cell door. He collapsed huffing as he hoped for Kaito and Conan to be ok.

The little black-haired girl was by Conan's side shaking him to wake him as she removed his mask and all the tubes. Conan opened his eyes in agony confused by all the shaking and loud sirens. He looked to his left and saw Lana beside him helping him stand on his feet. She started shouting something.

"Chance...escape...Now!" His hearing was muffled and he couldn't hear her clearly. Feeling faint, Lana didn't give him a moment to understand the situation and started dragging him out into the corridor. When he reached a corner, she duck down and knocked on a large square tile which then opened immediately. Before commanding Conan to go through, she took his arm and injected something. She then put another syringe into his pocked and gestured with her hand for him to crawl in. Still a little dazed, the young girl shoved him a little to speed him up. He started heading to wherever the passage led to but the more he crawled the heavier his breathing became and the harder it became for him to continue. Stopping for a moment, he collapsed huffing. He saw a dim light a head of him and gathered all his strength to continue. A sharp pain in the chest hit him, he flinched but he couldn't stop now. He heard a voice calling out to him.

"Conan, are you there? Come here, I will get you."

Feeling a bit at ease, he hurried to the end when, "AAAAAAHHH!" Conan fell down clenching his shirt as pain ran through his body. He felt his bones burning and his own muscles squeezing him. It felt as if it was the atidode but he couldn't grow big now. Not in a tunnel small enough for a child! As he was about to loose consciousness, a hand grabbed him by his shirt. As he was being pulled by the hand, smoke started to steam out from his body and he started to shrink. Never in the world did Conan ever think he will get any smaller than this! As the person lifted him, Conan coughed out blood and his head spinned as his vision got blurry. The saviour looked at the boy who was now the size of a 3-year-old and covered him with his coat. the person that helped him all along was Subaru (Akai) but Conan was too exhausted and dizzy to open his eyes and realised that. He sounded like a little weezy puppy who was at deaths door, which made Subaru run faster. He arrived at a yellow beetle car near the forest where Proffesor Agasa and Haibara were waiting.

Haibara was sitting at the front seat with Conan's spare glasses on. Thanks to them they were able to find his location. Akai entered the car with toddler Conan in his hands. Thinking it might be dangerous to put him down he kept him in his arms. Haibara looked over and gasped. Eyes in shock. Professor Hagase saw Conan and with sad eyes he started to drive.

"Is that.." Haibara said without finishing.

"Yes. He was crawling through a small tunnel when he let out a scream. He wasn't able to continue but luckily my arm reached him and I was able to pull him out," Akai explained.

Haibara frowned but she didn't let that waste her time as she quickly looked through her things to give him a pain-reliever.

"It won't return him to his original state but it should ease the pain," she said handing him a capsule with a bottle of water.

Akai placed the capsule in Conan's mouth and the bottle to his lips. Conan drank a bit before starting to cough blood again. Akai rubbed his back and gave him a light squeeze. He held Conan's extremely small hand, assuring him he is now safe before Conan's tensed body finally gave in and relaxed. Seeing Conan was now asleep, Akai now had to return back to the lab as he knew Hattori had to be there as well. He left the car in a rush hoping Hattori would be safe.

Arriving at Professor's home, Haibara told Agasa to place Conan on the sofa and cool down his body temperature. As Agasa took Conan's top off, the syringe that Lana placed in his pocket fell. Agasa picked it up and gave it to Haibara. Putting her lab coat on, she started testing it.

However, she didn't have the time as Conan started to scream in pain coughing out blood and the painkiller Haibara gave before. It wasn't a good sign. The simple tests Haibara ran over the contents of the syringe proved to be safe. Keeping a small amount for more testing, she injected the rest to him. He was gasping for air again which made Haibara hurry even more. This was the only choice they had as Conan's condition has worsened to its peak. After injecting him, it seemed like Conan's breathing calmed and he wasn't screaming anymore. There was a small sigh of relief from everyone. They hoped this was the worst that could happen.

I can't believe I left this for a year. It was my last year of highschool this year. Busy with finals and whatnot.
