2023: Welp I've decided to come back to this story after almost 3 years. I noticed that this chapter was missing so I rewrote to end and reuploaded it. Enjoy!

"Roll! Are you okay?" Maylu asked worriedly.

"Yeah I'm fine." Roll replied.

"Are you hurt?"

"No."

"What happened in Net City?"

"Megaman." Roll sobbed.

"I can't believe this has happened to him, I'm sorry Roll."

Maylu felt really bad for her Navi. She knew about her crush on Megaman. She was fighting back tears for Roll, but also Lan.

"He attacked me…" she continued.

Maylu's eyes went wide.

"He did, again?!" she basically yelled.

"I was on the ground, he was gonna delete me...but he couldn't."

"What do you mean?"

"It was like...Megaman was fighting it." Roll trailed off, the sorrow taking her over.

Meanwhile, Dark Megaman appeared in an unknown area of the net. He fell onto his hand and knees, fighting to keep his blue counterpart from taking him over. He saw his hand was turning blue. Then a purple aura surrounded him for a second before diminishing. His hand was purple again. Dark Megaman stood up, he wasn't fighting him anymore.

"Hmpf...it's because of her."

Dark Megaman regained his posture and went on his way.

It's been two days since the attack. Roll sat in her PC, holding a picture of Megaman and her. In the picture, Megaman and Roll where sitting next to each other, Roll had him in a hug with a huge smile on her face. Megaman had one eye closed and was looking at whoever took the picture, smiling. Tears rolled down her face as she dropped the picture and leaned her head against the wall.

"Hey Roll, can you come here please?" Maylu asked.

"What is it?" Roll asked when she came to the screen of the computer.

Mayu could see that Roll had been crying, but she pushed that back for now.

"There's a new update for PC's and Navis!" Maylu told Roll.

Roll perked up, "there is?"

"Yep, and i'm gonna install it now." Maylu informed.

"What is it? Roll asked.

Maylu smiled, "You'll see."

Maylu pressed some buttons on the keyboard and the PC went white. A stream of data started to flow into Roll, she gasped in surprise. Then it went white for her too. After a few seconds, the bright light went away. Roll opened her eyes to see that there was a bed and couch in the PC.

"Uh Maylu? What's this? Asked a confused Roll.

Maylu snickered at her confusion, "Now instead of going into sleep mode, you sleep in a bed and relax on a couch!"

"That's so cool!" Roll exclaimed.

"Go try it out!"

Roll went and sat on the bed. She looked in amazement because the bed was actually soft, so was the couch.

"I sleep on this like you?" Roll asked.

"Yup!" Maylu replied.

"Lan is calling me, you keep "testing" the bed." Maylu continued.

Maylu went and sat on her bed with her PET in-hand. She answered Lan's call.

"Hi Maylu, did you install the update?"

"Yeah, just did a minute ago. Did you?"

"Yep, I want to be optimistic."

"You know we'll get him back right."

"I know we will...but how?"

"Good question."

"I bet Megaman would like this update. He always asked me what it's like sleeping on a bed."

"Well now he'll be able to know."

"Yeah…"

"I'll see you tomorrow, it's getting late."

"Okay, I'll see you."

"Bye."

With that, Lan hung up. Maylu turned to Roll in the PC.

"I'll be going to bed now, Roll." Maylu informed.

Later that night, Roll was laying on the new bed, in awe at how it made her comfortable and sleepy, and in no-time, she was asleep.

A red-eyed purple Navi quietly entered the PC of Megaman's pink friend. It was dark, only the dim light of the moon shining through Maylu's window illuminated the room, It was hard to see. He looked around until he spotted the pink Navi in her new bed. He smirked and brushed his hair out of his eyes and quietly walked over.

Roll's eyes shot open when she heard footsteps approaching her. She sprung up and faced towards the noise. The silhouette looked.. Familiar, then it hit her.

"Mega?" she asked reluctantly.

"Nope… not Megaman."

Roll recognized that recognizable tone. Her eyes widening in fear while she pressed her back against the wall, trying to create as much distance as possible.

"D… Dark Megaman?" she managed to say.

"That's right!" Dark Megaman stated in an optimistic tone.

Roll pressed herself harder into the wall hoping she would just disappear, "how did you get in here?" she asked

Dark Megaman smiled, "lets just say having access to someone's memories makes things a lot easier."

She gasped, Megaman knew the code to access her PET. Well, Dark Megaman IS Megaman, He was able to get in from his memories.

"W… what are you here for?" Roll asked, beginning to think the worst.

"I'm glad you asked, I came to test something… And set an example." He answered coldly/

Rolls' eyes went wide once again, "what are you…" was all she got out before being held off the ground by the neck. She choked and squirmed while failing to call out to her operator. Dark Megaman grunted and threw her against the fall farthest from him. She hit the wall and fell to the ground. She got on all fours and began to cough from the impact. Dark Megaman walked over and looked down to a crying and quivering Roll on her hands and knees. He proceeded to kick her rather hard back into the wall. She let out a yelp of pain and shakily propped herself up.

Roll looked up and met his eyes "why?" is all she said.

Without a world, he called his Mega Buster and aimed it at her head. Realizing what was about to happen she cried harder.

"Please Mega! I know you're still in there! Don't do this…" she cried.

"Heh.." Dark Megaman charged his weapon and Roll covered her face. One shot went off. Realized nothing happened. She uncovered her face and glanced at the smoking hole in the wall inches away from her head. She moved her view to Dark Megaman, his face was full of struggle and hesitation.

"It seems…" he began as he lowered his buster, "that he won't let me delete you." he finished.

Roll was relieved but the tears kept flowing. Dark Megaman reverted his weapon and backed off.

"Wha…" Roll began, Dark Megaman cut her off "Seems what i thought was true, I can hurt you very...VERY badly in the most painful ways, but I can't do something that would delete you...HE won't let me." He looked down at Roll, "You are not safe." With that, he disappeared.

Roll quickly pushed herself up and pulled up a window to completely lock the PC. Once that was done, she layed back on her bed in shock at what just happened. She stared at the ceiling, her stream of tears soaking the blanket under her.

"Why is this happening?" She thought as her eyes finally shut for the night.
