DarkPriestess66: I know Snape is an idiot, but he does have a redeeming feature, his undying love for Lily, not that Harry knows this yet, but Aurora is different and she will be Snape's undoing. No one messes with a Demigoddess' charge. For the sake of my fic, let's say that Percy Jackson and Harry Potter are in the same time frame, so Luke and Aurora are close to the same age. Should there be other half-wizard, half-god students at Hogwarts? Or should Aurora teach those that are interested in the Greek side of mythology? Oh and I don't own anything at all, just having fun playing with the characters and the baseline of each story.
Harry stared in shock as the older girl just went back to looking out the window. "Aurora, is that really you?"
"Yup, and I'm now one of your schoolmates. Isn't that grand?" Aurora questions as Harry sat down on the opposite bench, he looked at the girl. "Why didn't you come back, I needed you."
Aurora jerked slightly, she looked down at the floor. Knowing that her demigoddess blood would attract monsters to her doorstep if she did come back. Her father and Harry would be in constant danger because of her. "It was too dangerous to return." she whispered as she looked up as the door opened again and a red-headed boy looked into the compartment.
"Can I sit here, everywhere else is full?" the boy questions
Harry and Aurora nods
The three of them talked about various subjects, Aurora's eyes kept shifting to the rat in Ron Weasley's lap, there was something off about that creature. It wasn't a monster but it was something else until they started talking about their home lives.
"I lived with my dad until he sent me away, to a specialized camp when I was nine. I would have been accepted into Hogwarts when I was eleven but Hogwarts couldn't reach me, while I was away." Aurora answers, as she thought about Camp Half-Blood, she wondered if she would ever see her friends again. Luke, Annabeth, Grover, Clarissa, the daughter of Ares was close in running to be her best friend. She always thought that the reason why she wasn't attending Hogwarts was that her mother's influence and Athena wasn't thrilled with her favorite animal being used as a messenger. "So when I was accepted this year, the professor that came to my house said I would be taking extra lessons to catch up to the other third years, yay me."
Harry wondered about the true reason, why Aurora never returned home, did she hate him or was he too clingy. Aurora knew she would have to tell Harry the truth, at some point but she rather it not be right now, she just wanted to rekindle the friendship, the two had five years ago.
After what seemed like hours, Aurora, Ron, and Harry were now getting their bags as their trunks were going to be brought up by staff or something later. The two first years were escorted by a half-giant, who Aurora felt slightly nervous about, she was told to go with the other third years, but she would find a teacher waiting outside the Great Hall waiting for her.
Aurora went with the other third years and soon found herself staring at ghost-like creatures, who were being used to pull the carriages. She shook off her thoughts and just entered into one of the carriages, she waited, tapping her foot as she did so.
Once everyone arrived at the castle, the students all entered and went to the great hall for dinner, Aurora was looking around and saw an older woman waiting for the first years.
Professor McGonagall was going over her list of incoming students before the first years arrived, she saw one student that didn't have any House colors. The girl was walking over.
"Um...I don't suppose you are the teacher waiting to tell me what I'm supposed to do. I'm Aurora Hunter." Aurora greets, looking cautiously at the witch.
Professor McGonagall heard about this student from Severus, he said she was different and she had learning disabilities. "yes, you will stay at the back of the hall, until the first years are sorted, then you will come up. After the Headmaster makes the announcement of a missing student that has returned."
Aurora waited until every last student was sorted, but she had noticed that students were eying her, like why was she even there.
The older wizard stood up from his golden chair, "We have one student left to sort, she would have arrived two years ago, but she was out of reach, so she has some catching up to you all, depending on her House, I would like someone to volunteer to tutor her."
Aurora went up and sat on the stool, she felt the old hat placed on her head.
"Will wonders never cease, I am highly pleased to meet one such as you, you are most cherished in these halls, milady. But where to place you,"
"Reveal my true nature, and I will use you as a dust rag. In time, they all will know." Aurora snarled
"I see now, you were sent here by Someone more powerful than mere mortals, but where to place you, I know. Gryffindor!"
