The students started dinner, Aurora was chatting with Ron, and Harry seeing as they were close to being friends. Aurora turned slightly, as she felt eyes on her. Severus was staring straight at her.
Aurora barely nodded as she turned her attention back to her two new friends.
The next day, Aurora was going to Herbology with the other third years, she found out that on the weekends, she would be in an empty classroom with one of the professors tutoring her in first and second-year lessons, luckily it wouldn't be with exams until the third year was over, she only hoped that she would be able to learn without problems.
Over the next month, Harry and Aurora got closer, and they spoke throughout the evenings after dinner.
'You're in danger, my child. Be on your guard' a voice states in Aurora's head, the girl looked up as she was in the courtyard.
Aurora quickly put her stuff away and stood up, as she was studying on a lovely autumn day, she quickly ran down to where Hagrid's hut was located and she heard a shrill screeching sound. She readied her celestial bronze sword just as a harpy came at her, intending to have a meal made of her.
She swung and her sword connected with the talons, she ducked and rolled, and came up in a defensive position.
As Aurora was fighting the harpy, she was unaware that she was drawing a crowd. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were outside and saw something flying in and the next thing they knew that Aurora was sword fighting with it.
Harry's eyes widen as Aurora's sword was thrown aside and the creature picked up the struggling girl in its talons.
Aurora hissed in pain, as she swung from the harpy's talons and flipped over, and grabbed at the monster, she pulled herself up on the creature's back and summoned her sword to her, and plunged her sword into the monster's head. Sending it back to the underworld. Luckily for the young demigoddess, she wasn't that far from the ground, she tucked and rolled onto the ground. She was panting in pain when the three first years ran up to her.
"What was that thing?" Harry questions
"I'll explain later, just get me back to the Common Room."
they helped Aurora back to the Common Room. "Hermione, go into my trunk in the third-year dorm, my bed and trunk is the third from the door, and bring me my rucksack, please." Aurora had only one bag in her trunk and that was filled with Ambrosia squares, golden drachmas, and some other things that would be useful. Hermione left to do as she was asked.
Hermione returned with the bag, Aurora took it, wincing, she dug out bandages and a sealed baggy.
"This isn't how I wanted you to find out about me, but it appears those blessed by Hecate can see through the Mist." Aurora states as she applied the bandages to her wounded shoulders with Hermione's help.
"Why aren't you going to the Hospital Wing?" Hermione questions
"How would you explain talon punctures?" Aurora questions back, she then took the sealed baggy and took one square, and broke it in half. She placed a half back in and ate the other half. "hmm, hot cocoa." she looked up at the trio. "Don't you dare eat any of this stuff."
"Why?" Hermione questions trying to figure out the thirteen-year-old.
"It would most likely kill you," Aurora answers as she settled back into the chair. She sighed "What you saw was a harpy, it was attracted to the grounds because of me."
"Why was it attracted to you?" Ron questions
"Because I'm not fully human. I'm a Half-blood, which is different than your term for the same word. In my world, Half-blood means Half-God, Half-Mortal." Aurora answers as she looked into the three younger children's eyes.
