"I don't care." Harry shrugs his shoulders. "He can die for all I care."

"Harry!" Remus turns to his husband for support who shrugs, seemingly in agreement with what Harry said. "He is talking about your second cousin." Remus reminds Sirius. "Draco could die!"

"And?" Sirius knows what a spoiled, horrible little brat Draco is. "Why are we having this conversation?"

Severus came here expecting to beg, and beg for his godson's life. He knows Draco and Harry hate each other. Draco doesn't even know he is here. "Please, reconsider." He stares into Harry's beautiful green eyes. Lily's eyes. There is kindness in them, even for a monster like Severus, and by extension, Draco.

"Look," Harry is old enough to know exactly what Snape is doing, the snake bastard. "Even if I said yes…"

"So," Severus lights up, "There is a chance that you will reconsider." He never thought that Harry Potter's weak character could work to his advantage. The boy is all about saving humanity. Just like Lily, may God rest her soul. Severus tries not to think about her at this sensitive time. His godson's life hangs in the balance.

Harry is annoyed. Like any alpha, he hates being interrupted. "I don't think Draco will agree. Does he know you are here?" His question is not just shrewd, it is based on years of having to deal with Draco's pettiness and disgust of those of the lower socioeconomic caste.

Severus forgot that the boy is intelligent. He is pursuing surgery after all. Part of him is relieved that his godson will not end up in complete poverty. The other part, the one which lives to hate James Potter, seethes in hatred. The boy's face bothers him. Those arrogant, all-knowing features. What did Lily see in James?

"He would rather die than be mated to me." Harry continues, unable to decipher Severus' hateful look. He always looks like that.

"Harry is right," Sirius smirks deviously. Looks like the problem will solve itself, won't it? "If you can convince Draco, you have our agreement."

"I do?" Severus stands. "If I can convince Draco, you all agree to this union."

Sirius ignores his mate's relieved look. "If you can convince that brat, we all consent to this unholy union."

"Thank you," Severus' says before he turns around, lest his relief makes him break into tears. Now all he has to do is convince his precious godson. Living without Lily has been excruciating for him. Now if he loses Draco… No, he mustn't get weak. Not now. He cannot afford to. His own life has been ruined because Lily, despite being Severus' fated omega, refused to mate with him because that bastard James lured her in with his false charms. Now the same thing could happen because Draco is too stubborn to realize that being mated to an inferior alpha is better than being dead.

Severus holds back tears, lest Sirius and Harry smell them. He makes it to his car before he breaks down into quiet sobs. Alphas can survive not being mated to their intended. It is extremely painful, but their superior bodies make it so that they learn to live with the excruciating pain. Severus can tell that like him, Harry is stubborn enough to go through that pain. He is also too honourable to force himself on Draco.

"He was crying," Sirius informs Remus, because Harry, like his godfather, is an alpha and has a superior sense of smell.

"I…" Remus tries not to tear up. "Harry, you cannot let Draco die." He knows what rejection can do to an omega. He knows that he is very lucky to love and hold his alpha every day. Lily's death haunts him every day. He cannot let it happen to another person, even if it is the Malfoy brat.

Harry doesn't know the story of Lily and Severus and assumes his old chemistry professor was crying for the well-being of his godson. It is good to see that Severus is human, and still has the capacity for empathy. Even if it is for one person, and one person alone, Draco fucking Malfoy, the one person Harry cannot bring himself to feel anything for. Harry has kindness and consideration for everyone but Draco, who treated him like absolute crap all through university because Harry and his dear friends Ron and Hermione didn't come from rich backgrounds like Draco and his cunty friends.

"I…" Sirius sighs at his mate's puppy dog eyes, saved for drastic occasions such as this. "I hate to say this, but you cannot let the blond idiot die. You will not be able to live with yourself, Harry."

"I know." Harry would never let any harm come to another person. He has his parents' goodness in his heart. "I still need Draco to consent."

"He can't possibly be that stupid." Sirius turns to his mate, who shrugs. "I mean Lucius raised him pretty badly, but still."

"He will come to his senses." Remus knows that he lucked out in the alpha department, but not every omega gets what he or she wants.

"Of course he will," Sirius scoffs, grabbing the untouched cup of coffee Snape left behind. "He should be so lucky to have Harry."

"Sirius," Remus warns his husband. The alpha loves Harry more than he could ever love his children. It is his most endearing and simultaneously most infuriating quality. After James and Lily's demise, Sirius and Remus became Harry's legal guardians and while Sirius chose to worship Harry at every step it was up to Remus to parent him.

"The Malfoy brat doesn't deserve him." Sirius makes one last remark before storming off upstairs, clearly miffed that Harry and Draco are natural-born mates.

"Are you okay?" Remus can't help but think that it will be nice to have an omega around here. Even if it is Draco Malfoy. Living with two alphas, especially two such emotionally complex men hasn't been easy. Remus wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Except for, of course, having James and Lily around. Then maybe Sirius would agree to have children of his own with Remus. He refused for Harry's sake. Remus agreed a hundred percent. However, if James and Lily were alive and well, he would have liked to see what his and Sirius' babies would look like.

"Of all the people on this planet," Harry lets Remus hold him against his chest. "Why couldn't it be anyone else? Anyone else."

Remus wishes there was some explanation for it, such as Draco was teasing Harry because he liked him, but no. Draco was and is a cruel boy. "God is a sadist." Remus kisses the top of Harry's head, which smells just as good as when he was a baby.

"Hear, hear." Harry isn't going to disagree with that.
