When Draco wakes the next morning, he is alone, distressingly so, if the cold around him is any indication. Harry isn't beside him, and the room is shrouded in darkness. He is still in his hideous pajamas. He stands up and decides to find his alpha, who is nowhere to be seen. As he goes downstairs, he can hear laughter. He follows the voices to the kitchen.

"He is good in bed," Harry can be heard saying, "And that's just about it."

"Better than nothing, mate," Ron advises his best friend, who scoffs.

"Why did I get burdened with such a brainless idiot?" Harry places his head in his hands as his friend comforts him. "I could have had Cedric, and got the blond slut upstairs."

"Get rid of him then," Ginny says as her brother and sister-in-law make noises of agreement. "I hear Cedric and Cho are open to having a third person in their relationship."

"I mean," Harry continues. "How do I even get rid of him at this point?"

"Send him back to his parents," Says Hermione, ever the genius problem-solver. "Should be a fitting punishment for the whore."

"I am just saying, Harry," Ron agrees with his wife, judging by the cruel and satisfied look on his face. "This is our one chance to get even with him. Let's take it."

Harry tsks, "I don't want to be in pain forever."

"You won't be." Cedric, who has mysteriously appeared reminds Harry, "Now that you have fucked him, he's tied to you, and you are free from his influence."

"Why can't you be my omega again?" Harry rests his head on his face, smirking as Cedric approaches him and sits in his lap. Harry wraps his arms around Cedric's waist possessively.

"Oh you two look so cute," Remus appears, clutching his hands together.

"Better than with my cousin," Sirius shudders as his mate agrees.

"Not everyone can have our level of intimacy," Remus adds as Harry places his mother's emerald necklace around Cedric's neck, making the boy preen as Hermione and Ron gush at how pretty he looks.

"If you are going to leave me for an omega," Ginny says carelessly, "At least have it be a superior one like Cedric and not a pathetic broken whore like Malfoy."

"Harry," Cho looks as if in tears, "You have ruined Cedric for me, you must join us in bed. You have to."

"Agreed," Remus makes a sad sound, "Some of us find our soulmates and some of us have to make do with bratty whores."

"What are you doing here?" Harry notices Draco standing in the hallway, and all of a sudden, all eyes are on him.

"It's awake," Ron makes a face as Cedric gets up from Harry's lap, showing off his new necklace. It goes beautifully with his pretty face, big grey eyes, and dark gold hair.

"Is it just me or are you fucking perfect?" Harry wraps his arms around Cedric's waist as he cuddles him.

"It's just you," Cedric groans as Harry kisses his neck, suckling a kiss into pale skin. "And I am perfect." He adds, making the occupants of the room laugh adoringly.

"What are you waiting for?" Cho demands as everyone agrees, "Mark him already Harry."

"Fucking finally," Harry presses Cedric against a wall, grinding his crotch into the omega's. He starts to bite Cedric's neck, making him moan wantonly as if having an orgasm.

"Please don't do this," Draco finds his voice, and holds out a hand, which is smacked away by Ginny.

"Why can't you just let him be happy?" Remus asks, disgusted. "What is wrong with you?"

"We are going upstairs," Harry says, picking up Cedric bridal style, "And I am not going to stop fucking you until you are full of my seed."

Cedric smiles prettily, "And then baby?" Harry nods enthusiastically.

"Oh, your babies would look so cute together," Ginny gushes again.

"I just want to be able to watch," Cho follows the couple upstairs.

"Please don't." Draco whimpers as the remaining occupants laugh at him.

When Harry wakes the next morning, he notices his sleeping mate beside him and smiles. He wonders if he was too harsh with his omega last night and vows to apologize. He knows the omega gender is not respected, especially in elite and uber-rich circles which Draco comes from. They are possessions to be paraded around, used, and bred. However, Harry's saint of a mother was an omega. Remus, who is nothing short of a martyr when it comes to Harry's upbringing, love, and care is an omega. Now that Harry has found his mate, as feisty and temperamental Draco is, he is Harry's submissive and the last thing he wants is for his mate to disrespect himself. There is not a single thing that Harry would change about his Draco.

"Please, don't do this," Draco says, making Harry frown.

"What's wrong?" He asks the sleeping omega gently. "Does it hurt?" He presses against Draco's stomach. He thought the injuries were well-healed, and the broken ribs are on the mend. "Where does it hurt?" He pulls Draco in his arms, his frown deepening when he notices that the dark golden lashes are teary. "Draco?" He calls out the omegas name a little harder.

"Please, don't." Draco whimpers, and starts sobbing, alarming Harry to his very core.

The alpha rocks back and forth with Draco in his arms, wondering what his mate is seeing. Possibly his psychotic parents, hurting and abusing him. "Draco, no one is here. No one is going to hurt you, I promise."

The body in his arm stills, and watery blue-grey eyes open, looking up at Harry with confusion, fear, and relief.

"It was a dream," Harry says as Draco sniffles a little, "A bad dream." The blond nods.

"Sorry," Draco says as he tries to tactfully extract himself from Harry's grasp. The alpha doesn't let go.

"Don't be sorry," Harry buries his face in Draco's neck. "You didn't do anything wrong."

"Um," Draco feels tears come on again, "I should go to the bathroom." He wants to cry in peace. He cannot show any weakness in front of Harry because he is afraid of what his alpha is going to think of him. Judging from how realistic the dream seemed, their relationship is doomed from the beginning. "Please."

"Need help?" Harry doesn't want to let his mate go but releases him as Draco rushes to the bathroom.

"No," Draco manages to say as he shuts the door behind himself. He leans with his back against the door and slides down, breaking into sobs. He simply cannot hold his emotions in anymore. Harry fucked him open yesterday, and not just his body. His mind and heart feel bared and used. If this was just a physical relationship, Draco would be more than fine, creating his own protective emotional walls to guard his sanity. Harry has access to Draco's mind.

The entire world seems to love to remind submissives that once they get married, a big strong alpha male will fuck them and knot them, and impregnate them. It's why Draco was more than prepared to be an obedient slut in bed, perfectly willing to submit as Harry sees fit. Nobody ever speaks of the physical intimacy and the implications of belonging to someone body and soul. Now that they are bonded, Draco feels that he wants more than the pleasures of sex. He wants Harry's love, something he may never have access to.

Harry follows the omega and can hear and feel the distress loud and clear. "Draco, open the door."

"I am fine." Draco doesn't even bother feeling ashamed at this point. He has fallen so low. "Please leave me alone."

Harry wants to give Draco space, something tells him that's the worst possible idea right now. "I will be back." He needs help. Draco is no longer the sociopathic betas from years ago. He is Harry's omega, beautiful, and complex. The alpha never thought he would fall for his university rival, and now that he has, Harry has no idea how to care for Draco's emotional state. As a physician he is perfectly capable of ensuring his mate is in the best of health, but psychologically, he is at a loss.

Draco knows that he has to go back to pretending that he and Harry's bond can be anything more than physical, but right now he doesn't have the strength. The dream felt too real. The logical part of him knows that nightmares tend to draw from reality, and are not authentic representations of the real world. Draco's inner self, the submissive inside him, disagrees. He is nothing but a whore, and considering Harry doesn't even seem to want him that much, he is not even a good enough whore to please his husband. He is nothing.

"Harry," Sirius responds as soon as he calls his dad. "This hotel is amazing. They have every single cocktail you can make with absinthe."

"Who drinks absinth in this day and age?" Remus' voice questions.

"We can come here for our next night out," Sirius isn't fazed by Remus. As an alpha, he needs hard, sometimes conspicuous liquor to get drunk. His metabolism is too strong for normal stuff. "They have lady drinks here too, so you and Draco should be fine."

Harry has seen Draco drink hard liquor as if it was water, but that was years ago. He may appreciate fruity drinks now. "Can I please speak to Remus?"

"Uh oh," Sirius says, "What did you do?"

"Nothing," Harry protests as Sirius hands Remus the phone. "I was kind and respectful and everything."

"Sometimes that's not enough," Remus says, the humour in his tone gone. "What's wrong?"

"He woke up crying." Harry paces back and forth in the kitchen. "I think he had a bad dream."

"I don't think that's an omega thing, sweetie," Remus says as Sirius can be heard ordering his third straight Death in the Afternoon in a row. The bartender can be heard saying that they have run out of absinth and will need to switch to something else. "I remember when Sirius and I got married, I was out of my mind with nightmares."

"Really?" Harry asks, "Why?"

"You were just born, and I had recurrent dreams about you dying." Remus sounds sad, "And I was afraid of losing you. What I am saying is, I kept dreaming about my worst fear. It has nothing to do with me being a certain gender, it had to do with the big life change in my life. I think a similar thing is happening to Draco. He's just gotten bonded and that coupled with what his psycho mother did, he must be going out of his mind."

"What do I do?" Harry can now hear Sirius complaining to the manager and can tell that the alpha is about to get kicked out of the hotel bar.

"I know your instinct is to give him space," Remus is walking now, following his husband outside.

"Well, yeah," Harry says honestly. "He told me to leave him alone."

"Don't do that," Remus says as Sirius makes an agreeing sound beside him. "Don't leave him alone Harry, or your new bond will suffer for it. These few days are going to set a tone for the rest of your relationship. You need to get him to open up because he has to be able to rely on you.

"Thank you," Harry says as Sirius tells Remus that they are going to hit a liquor store. "What is with him and absinth?" The alcoholic spirit is dangerous at best and a hallucinogen at worst.

"Don't get me started." Remus says after he wishes Harry good luck, "I am on vacation."
