Here is chapter 8 of the story. As always I do not own Vampire DIaries.

Review Corner:

time-twilight: Thank you again for your support. Also, you're going to have to read and find out. I really hope I did this chapter justice.

Kristinls: You really should read it. Because the biggest part about me as a writer is I like to throw curveballs. Who knows...after all many things exist in the world of Vampire Diaries.

Chapter 8

-Undisclosed location-

A blonde man with startling blue eyes looked away from the canvas that was in front of him. The painting was slowly starting to take the form of a human woman from what could be seen. His blue eyes darkened in anger at the fact he was being interrupted by one of the vampire minions he had. He had expressly told them to never interrupt him while he was painting, especially this time because he had had a dream about a woman he had never seen before. However, the difference about this dream that he had had compared to the many others he had had over his very long lifetime was that he felt drawn to this woman in a way he had never felt drawn to other women before. "What?" he growled out trying his very best not to rip the heart out of the vampire that was interrupting him.

"Maddox is here," the vampire said, backing up slightly from the dangerous vampire in front of him.

The vampire's painting pallet snapped in his hand as he gave a violent growl before vanishing from his seat and appearing in front of the vampire who interrupted him. His now free hand shoved its way into the vampire's chest cavity through his ribs. "That was it? That was the reason why you interrupted me while I was painting?!" THe volume of his voice grew as his hand wrapped around the beating heart of the vampire making the vampire gasp in pain. "How many times have I had to explain to never interrupt me while I am painting!" he exclaimed loudly for every vampire in hearing distance to overhear. His hand squeezed the vampire's heart slightly watching fear enter this vampire's eyes. "I am not the merciful type especially when my rules are broken," he hissed lowly as veins appeared under his eyes. The blonde vampire's hand squeezed the other's heart tighter before his rage got the better of him and he ripped out the vampire's heart. Red blood covered his hand as the heart gave a few more beats before giving out completely signaling that the vampire was dead. A loud roar escaped his mouth as he turned and threw the heart at the wall before slamming the doors to his art studio open. He stormed through the house he was living in trying to find the person who was there to see him. "What?" he snapped out at Maddox who looked at him wide eyed for a moment.

The warlock frowned seeing the blood on his hand. That more than likely means that the vampire had interrupted the older vampire while he had been painting. "We found him…He is in the same town as the Doppelganger….Mystic Falls, Virginia." The warlock watched the vampire for a moment seeing the look of realization pass through his face.

"Mystic Falls? I haven't been there in oh…a thousand years," he said as his rage slowly morphed into curiosity. "Is she with him?" he asked the warlock as his thoughts went to the newborn vampire he had encountered in Richmond months ago. He had compelled away the memories from her, but he needed to see her again.

"Yes…it appears some werewolves tried to pull something on him, and she killed a few of them by his side," Maddox responded slowly, trying to gauge his reaction. He could tell that this vampire he kept asking him to keep track of was important to him in some way, but Maddox had yet to figure out why she was important.

-Hours Earlier Mystic Falls, Virginia-

Jessica stayed hidden in the shadows of the trees, her hazel eyes darkening as anger coursed through her veins. She could hear Caroline in pain in the trailer. From the sound of Caroline's cries, she had been shot with wooden bullets. Everything that these wolves were doing to her friend was making her angrier and angrier to the point where she was about to say fuck the plan and take out the wolves on her own to rescue Caroline. Her hazel eyes snapped to the right as she heard Elijah trying to get her attention. She felt her lip curl into a snarl slightly as he shook his head at her. They had to wait for the Salvatores to do what their purpose was… Jessica was just becoming impatient and leaning into her emotions which is to be expected since she is very young in vampire terms. She glanced at Elijah again and motioned her head down to the werewolf that was directly under her and more away from the group.

Elijah shook his head again at the 15 year old immortal as Tyler had yet to step away from the Salvatores. Once Tyler went into the trailer, then they could start systematically taking out the werewolves before saving Caroline. The Original watched the 15 year old give a silent snarl before crouching more in the tree she was hiding in. He had a feeling that if Jess truly ever gave into the anger and rage she was starting to feel, she would be a Ripper…but wouldn't need to turn her emotions off for that to happen. That worried him slightly, but he wouldn't admit that he had a feeling he knew who her other half was. Elijah couldn't be sure as he had yet to physically see his brother, but he had smelled his scent on her the day she had run out of Slater's apartment. Elijah's eyes went back towards Tyler as he walked away from the Salvatore brothers and towards the trailer Caroline was in.

The moment that Tyler walked into the trailer, Jessica watched the rest of the pack slowly come out the shadows by where Jules and Brady were. She smirked darkly as she let the dark, black veins appear under her eyes before Jessica dropped down from the tree snapping the neck of the lone wolf who was more separated from the others before using her speed to vanish back into the trees. Her hazel eyes watched as the Salvatore brothers turned in shock seeing the wolf drop dead onto the forest floor. Jessica looked for a few moments trying to figure out which wolf she would go after next. The 15 year old tilted her head seeing another wolf that was not in the middle of other wolves, but he could still be seen. She swallowed thickly as she appeared behind the wolf, shoving her hand into the wolf's chest as all eyes turned to her when he cried out in pain. "Hello there," she said slowly, pulling her hand out of the wolf's chest, holding his heart in her now bloody palm. There was absolute silence as the wolf's body fell to the forest floor with a thump showing the gaping hole in his back.

Damon and Stefan stared at the immortal 15 year old in shock. She had just killed two wolves…Two! They had been expecting Rose or even Elijah to make the first move against the wolves, not Jessica. The brothers swallowed thickly for a moment as they watched Jessica take out two more wolves before they themselves moved to fight some as Rose and Elijah also joined the fray.

Elijah shoved both of his hands into two wolves' chest gripping their hearts tightly before ripping them out of their bodies. As the bodies fell to the forest floor, his dark eyes met the wide and scared ones of the blonde wolf whom had cornered Jessica at the Grille earlier that afternoon. By some sheer miracle no blood got on any part of Elijah's sui as he turned and took off a third wolf's head with a swipe of his hand while a small amount of blood splattered on his cheek. The Original Vampire took out his handkerchief as he slowly stalked towards Jules and Brady. He may not have sired Jessica, but he had come to see her as apart of his family over the last few months. Jessica was hurt when she had heard Caroline had been taken, and as a result, Elijah knew he needed to make sure he helped Jessica get the blonde vampire back by any means necessary. "Tell me…why did you find it necessary to take such a young vampire?" Elijah asked…well more demanded of the wolves.

"Because vampires are monsters!" Jules growled at him as her eyes glowed yellow while she clenched her fist. She could tell that this vampire was different that the other ones present and knew if she or Brady made one wrong move…they both were dead.

"While yes, vampires must drink blood and feed to survive, not all are monstrous. There are times where that can look to be the case if they are simply defending themselves or protecting what they care for. Taking the girl was not a smart move," Elijah explained as black veins began appearing under his eyes and he tucked away the now bloody handkerchief in his pocket. The brown haired Original vanished before appearing behind Brady with a single arm around Brady's neck. "Let this be a lesson to never cross my family," he murmured darkly before a loud snap resonated through the forest and Brady's neck was snapped causing Jules to scream in shock. Elijah let Brady's body drop as he turned towards the trailer trying to make sure Jessica was okay and helping Caroline.

-Meanwhile in the Trailer-

Jessica growled, catching Tyler's attention. She moved around Tyler breaking the lock on the cage as she watched Caroline's expression turn to shock. The veins vanished from Jess' face as she slowly pulled Caroline out of the cage so she wouldn't hurt the blonde. "You feeling okay?" she asked her friend lightly. The hazel eyed vampire began looking over the blonde and focused on her foot. "We have to get that bullet out, Care. Do you want me to take it out now or wait until we get back to my house? I have some blood bags at home that you can drink. You are not being left alone tonight." Jess watched Caroline for a long moment before she took off her belt and folded it up holding it out to Caroline to bite down. "We need to hurry Caroline. Bite down on this. Now," she ordered the blonde vampire. After a moment of silence, Jess rolled her eyes and shoved the belt into Caroline's mouth before digging into Caroline's foot to get the wooden bullet out of her. The brunette tried to be as gentle as possible but knew that the bullet was deep and Caroline's body was trying to heal over the bullet. A small yet triumphant smile crossed her lips as she got the small wooden bullet out. The hazel eyed vampire maneuvered so she could pick up Caroline on her own ignoring the in shock werewolf still in the trailer.

Caroline yelped and pouted at the immortal 15 year old. "Jessica Gilbert! Put me down this instant!" she exclaimed while holding onto Jess. The blonde vampire narrowed her eyes as the younger vampire didn't listen. However, Caroline knew Jessica had every right to do this especially since Caroline was healing and in desperate need of a blood bag…and sleep. With an irritated sigh, Caroline sagged slightly against Jessica as the young immortal used her enhanced speed to get Caroline to the Gilbert home where Elena, Jeremy, and Jenna were waiting for Jessica's return.

Jenna immediately noticed how her youngest niece's hand was covered in what appeared to be blood. Bile slowly rose in Jenna's throat as she began to realize what Jess and the other vampires had to do in order to save Caroline. The red head quickly ordered Jeremy to get Caroline blankets while she rearranged the pillows on the couch so Caroline could snuggle in the corner. Her blue eyes watched Jess from her peripheral view, and Jenna immediately knew something was wrong with her niece. However, just before Jenna could speak to Jessica to find out what happened in the forest, Elena approached Jessica with a towel for her bloody hand.

"Were there any survivors?" Elena asked slowly, trying to gauge her younger sister's reaction to everything that happened tonight.

Jess shrugged her hazel eyes blank. The 15 year old immortal hadn't bothered checking if the others left any wolves alive or not. Jess had been purely focused on Caroline and her wellbeing. She wasn't really in the mood to deal with Elena right that moment…in fact, she wasn't really up for people at that moment. The dark haired girl swallowed thickly and closed her eyes for a long moment trying to block out all of the noises that she could suddenly hear. Her right hand clenched around the now bloody towel tightly as she inhaled deeply. The young vampire turned without another word to grab her bag and her wallet before vanishing, using her speed to run from the house and the small town. She was only a few months old as a vampire and was still 15 years old physically and mentally. Rose had explained over and over that there would be times her emotions would get the best of her especially in the first few decades of being a vampire. Jessica didn't even know where she had run off to, but she looked around seeing she was in a big city of some sort. "Fuck," she whispered to herself looking absolutely lost.

"Hello, Love," a voice said behind her, causing her to turn around in confusion.
