When Draco wakes the next morning, he notices that he slept through Harry leaving and didn't have another nightmare. His body is deliciously sore from his husband's fucking, but his mind is blissfully blank. It's as if Harry went into his brain and surgically removed all pain and suffering. He sits up in bed and stretches, pouting when it hurts to stand, his bottom still sore from the rough treatment last night.
Draco makes sure to wear his emerald necklace. Lily may be gone, but it seems that she is always watching over him. Draco wonders if she would like him. Considering how kind Harry is as a person, his parents must be good people too. Draco is sorry he never met his in-laws. Maybe when he dies. Hopefully not for a long time because Harry's life would be terrible without Draco.
He puts on a nice outfit, his closet is nothing compared to what it used to be but Harry bought him lots of fancy clothes. It makes him feel even better because Harry is a good provider and can afford expensive things, Draco being quite an expensive thing himself. He limps upstairs, frowning when he notices the quiet. "What's wrong?" He asks Sirius. "Is Remus okay?"
He doesn't care for other people ordinarily but Remus has shown him a lot of kindness where no other omega ever has. He feels awkward as he approaches the other omega on the sofa, but Sirius doesn't stop him, so he does. "Are you alright?" He has had this conversation with Remus a couple of dozen times already, but it's usually Remus comforting him, and not the other way around. "Do you need me to make you food?"
That snaps Remus out of his trance, "Dear god, no."
"You start a fire, I am going to kill you." Sirius warns his cousin, who he knows is kind of a pyromaniac. Draco likes money, jewelry, and fires.
Draco would love to be able to say that Harry would defend him, but it's Sirius, so no. "Fine," He says, wincing as he sits down beside Remus, because his bottom is sore. "What is wrong with you?"
"Nothing," Remus mumbles and ignores Draco's awkward pat on his shoulder as a weak attempt at comfort.
"That girl went home," Sirius explains, and Draco finally notices that the child who stalked him around the mall is missing.
"Huh," Draco did not notice. To say he is not very maternal toward the random little girl is an understatement. The only reason he would care for a child is if it was Harry's, or a relative of Harry's.
Sirius rolls his eyes because of course, his imbecile cousin did not notice the child is gone. "The police came and got her, her parents were relieved and well-rested." The poor mother was hysterical and accused Remus of kidnapping her child. Sirius had accused her of training her child to kidnap his stupid cousin. The police had to intervene.
"Oh," Draco shrugs. "Okay. Good. What's for lunch?" he asks Remus.
"I don't want her to leave," Remus sniffles, his nose red. "I want her back."
"Why?" Draco like the cute child well enough but she was so clingy and useless. He honestly doesn't even see himself caring for his own children. Someone is going to have to raise his brats for him. Luckily there are three other people here he can pawn off his children on.
"Because I want…" Remus sounds incredibly frustrated. "I want a baby."
"It's too late." Sirius understands his mate completely, considering their thoughts are shared, but he cannot do anything about it. Omega males are to impregnate, and the sky is blue along with other obvious things. "We are too old."
"Hey," Draco tries to be comforting. It's hard because it's simply not who he is as a person. "If it helps, Harry can't impregnate me either." It is terrible to think about but it's fun to try. Draco wishes more than anything to carry Harry's child. It's his ultimate desire. That and spending his heat with Harry.
A few years ago, having his heat would send him into a panic attack. Being in a loving, stable relationship means he is actually looking forward to feverish, marathon sex with his husband. Draco is hoping that such wanton fucking will lead to a pregnancy, but he isn't keeping his hopes up.
"No, it doesn't help." Remus snaps at Draco, making him raise an eyebrow. "I want a baby. And one of us is going to have one." He is hoping Harry impregnates pancake and Remus will finally get his mid-life crisis rainbow baby.
"Why don't you adopt another child?" Draco offers a solution. "You had great success with the first one."
"No," Sirius allowed Harry in his house because he is James and Lily's son. He isn't making another exception. Harry is a gift to him and Remus. No other child can compare to him.
"Why not?" Remus pleads with his husband. "I want another baby."
"And you have one." Sirius gestures broadly at Draco, who sighs. "Our children are having sex with each other."
"He's too old." Remus loves Harry, and he likes Draco well enough, but he wants a small baby, like Harry was once, all cute and precious.
Harry and Draco aren't precious. They are old and emotionally damaged, and they have a lot of sex.
"What about surrogacy?" Draco wishes Harry was here to hear him use a fancy medical word.
"Shut up," Sirius doesn't want Draco giving Remus ideas.
"Just pay a poor person to have your child." Draco suggests to Remus, who looks to be considering it.
"Why don't we make you do it?" Sirius smirks at Draco, who shrugs.
"Hey," Draco doesn't care at this point, his emotions are so calm and perfectly balanced for once in his life, "Ask Harry, and if he's okay with it, I will have your kid." He would do anything Harry allowed with his body. He would die for Harry. Carrying a surrogate child to term is a small thing.
"Dear god," Sirius makes a face. Trust his moron cousin to choose this moment to show emotional growth and empathy.
"You would do that?" Remus wouldn't ask that of someone he considers his son, but he is deeply touched that the selfish blond would do something so selfless for him. Pregnancy is a terribly hard thing on one's body. Draco just offered to do something for someone which wouldn't benefit him in anyway.
Maybe the world is about to end.
"I would do anything Harry wanted me to." Draco admits, remembering last night and the easy intimacy he shared with Harry. He hasn't felt this good in years and years. He feels like himself for the first time in what has to be a decade. His depression has disappeared. He feels safe and happy and calm.
"Oh," Remus feels so much better all of a sudden. He may not have another baby, but he has Harry, who was once a very cute baby, and he has Draco, who is helpless like a baby because he simply cannot fend for himself, or even feed himself for that matter. "Do you want a snack?" He asks the lovely blond, who is glowing beautifully in the afternoon light.
"Sure," Draco allows Remus to help him up.
Sirius cannot believe how much Draco has improved as a person. The blond was a pure psychopath as a beta, taking after his parents. It seems as if his transformation as an omega has humbled him. He is caring of others, and shows affection where there was none before.
Of course, sharing thoughts with Harry the saint helps. Where Draco has been showing concern for others and acting nicer, Harry has been more selfish and satisfied with life in general. Watching his son be so happy and his loser cousin find some direction in life warms Sirius' heart. When Remus smiles at him from the kitchen window, it seems that he is having similar thoughts, or maybe they are simply hearing each other's thoughts. Who can tell anymore?
