It's time for an update again…
I'm terribly sorry that I didn't reach out to you guys lately and that I just left you with these few chapters and a story that is far from done.
I know that you probably don't care why I'm not posting any chapters at the moment, because you're just here for the story, but I wanted to explain the situation anyways.
So if you don't want to know why, I'll leave you on the note that I can't tell you when exactly the next chapter will be up, maybe turn notifications on and keep an eye on your mailbox.
From here on, it's not spoiler-free anymore. If you're not familiar with the plot of Chicago Fire Season 9 and 10, then don't go on with reading!
For those who want to know, let me explain:
First of all, I'm not trying to defend my actions here, I know that I'm a terrible person for making you wait so long. And I can absolutely understand if you're mad at me, 'cause I'm mad at myself too.
But, as of right now, I'm in the middle of my first semester at university (I think in the US you call it college😊) and I'm still adjusting to the new situation. Up until September, I still lived at my parents' house in the eastern part of Switzerland. Then I started studying at a university in the western part of Switzerland, which is, by train, about two and a half hours away from my hometown, so obviously I spend Mondays to Fridays there and then come home over the weekend. That is very stressful, since I have to make sure everything is done in my apartment and then hurry to get the train so it's not too late when I arrive at home.
Plus, getting used to being away from home, from my family and my cats that I'm very attached to is harder than I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, I like being alone and having no one tell me what I should do, that's kinda fun, but it's new and I'm only eighteen years old. So yeah, that's been quite a change hat has kept me from writing.
And I must admit, that with the show going on and on, it gets kinda difficult to continue this story. I mean, the writers gave us a proposal, so mine is like… I don't know, it's kinda awkward because now that part of Stellaride is covered and Brettsey is (finally!) a thing, so me still working towards bringing them together feels wrong. And with Casey being gone now, it gets even more awkward… So, I don't know, I'm trying to figure out how to go on with this story and that may take some time. I beg you to be patient and I hope you still want to read this story.
Nonetheless, thank you all for your reviews, I love to read your opinions and thoughts and I'm trying the best I can to bring my and your ideas to life.
I hope that soon I find a rhythm that works for me and that you guys keep reading the story and keep having fun with these lovely characters.
