It's time for an update again…
I'm terribly sorry that I didn't reach out to you guys lately and that I just left you with these few chapters and a story that is far from done.
I know that you probably don't care why I'm not posting any chapters at the moment, because you're just here for the story, but I wanted to explain the situation anyways.
So if you don't want to know why, I'll leave you on the note that I can't tell you when exactly the next chapter will be up, maybe turn notifications on and keep an eye on your mailbox.
From here on, it's not spoiler-free anymore. If you're not familiar with the plot of Chicago PD Season 8 and 9, then don't go on with reading!
For those who want to know, let me explain:
First of all, I'm not trying to defend my actions here, I know that I'm a terrible person for making you wait so long. And I can absolutely understand if you're mad at me, 'cause I'm mad at myself too.
But, as of right now, I'm in the middle of my first semester at university (I think in the US you call it college😊) and I'm still adjusting to the new situation. Up until September, I still lived at my parents' house in the eastern part of Switzerland. Then I started studying at a university in the western part of Switzerland, which is, by train, about two and a half hours away from my hometown, so obviously I spend Mondays to Fridays there and then come home over the weekend. That is very stressful, since I have to make sure everything is done in my apartment and then hurry to get the train so it's not too late when I arrive at home.
Plus, getting used to being away from home, from my family and my cats that I'm very attached to is harder than I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, I like being alone and having no one tell me what I should do, that's kinda fun, but it's new and I'm only eighteen years old. So yeah, that's been quite a change that has kept me from writing.
And I must admit, that with the show going on and on, it gets kinda difficult to continue this story. I mean, the writers gave us an Upstead proposal (NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING😊), but in my story they're just a couple, so it's kinda awkward now… And I know Vanessa has been gone for more than 1 season, but I love her so much and I'm really mad at the writers for not even giving her a proper sendoff, she just disappeared like she never existed. And I don't even want to get started with the confusing situation of Burzek… with Makayla existing in Kim's life and ugh… I have to stop😉! So, if you have an idea, how I can either bring this into my story or work around it, please send me a message or just put it into a review.
Nonetheless, thank you all for your reviews, I love to read your opinions and thoughts and I'm trying the best I can to bring my and your ideas to life.
I hope that soon I find a rhythm that works for me and that you guys keep reading the story and keep having fun with these lovely characters.
