2/2

It's my birthday, have some chapters.

{Tara's POV}

After the match with the fucker was over, we all just went out and got ready to leave, though Sona and her Peerage were going to stay behind to get some stuff done, and head home, but we were stopped by Rias' cousin, who had practically teleported over to mom, and did a full on 90 degree bow. "Please, spar with me!" Not exactly what any of us expected to happen, but weird stuff was the norm with us... Which said something, but I wasn't going to think too hard on it.

Mom had hardly blinked at the sudden turn of events, and just nodded. "Sure. You comin with us?"

Sairaorg, because Rias HAD talked about him to us, shot up, which made us realize he was actually an inch or so shorter then Martha, and beamed a happy grin at her. "Yes! Just let me tell my Queen about the sudden change in plans!" And like that, he disappeared in a blur of speed, a blur I managed to follow, so this wasn't Anime Logic, and just regular speed.

We all took a moment to share a look, and as a collective, had the same thought. (Well that just happened.) It said something that we weren't that hung up on it, and just made our way out.

As we did, I went back to happily humming Snow Fairy, my daughter joining along as she hummed against my skull. Rias gave off an exasperated huff at the OP, but smiled all the same. "The irony of a dragon humming the Fairy Tail opening is strong here."

I snorted at that. "True, but it is what it is." My lips twitched as a thought hit me. (Plus, irony can be highly funny depending on when it happens.)

That response earned me an eye roll, which I ignored, and went back to happily humming Snow Fairy. Rias let off a small huff, and just smiled as we waited for Sairaorg, and ignored the randoms. "I've been granted permission to go!"

That shout from the rapidly approaching Sairaorg made us blink, and I couldn't help myself. "Why's that sound like his mom gave him a signed permission slip." Mom and Rias snorted, while a few others of our group snickered.

Sairaorg himself nearly tripped as I spoke, but made it to us either way, and just smiled at me. "I guess it could be seen that way. Kuisha IS basically the mother hen of my Peerage."

"I AM NOT!" He expertly ignored that, and we did too since he didn't react.

Going on, Sairaorg visibly brightened up, and looked like he had stars in his eyes as he looked at mom. "We're going now, right? Please say yes." Mom looked over to Rias and Sona, who both nodded, and gave the excited Devil a nod of her own. He looked like Christmas came early, and literally fist pumped. "YES!" With that done, we all made our way out of the stadium, a new member of our party added, as unexpected as it was.

{30 minutes later}

The nearest, and confirmed empty teleportation way station was kinda far, but none of us really cared. It gave us time to just see the sights, talk to Sairaorg a bit, and just relax. Hell was an interesting place, a sort of melting pot really. There were some Greek influences, some Middle Eastern ones strewn about, Japanese ones here and there, and even American ones too. Hell had a little bit of everything, and it was kinda cool.

Though, I didn't really spend time looking, and focused more on the conversation my mother, twin, Sairaorg and I were having about Martial Arts. We'd been so involved in it that Koneko had ended up getting off my back, and pestering Rias to the point she accepted being the new designated carrier. "I've yet to see your style used in person, but from what you've described, I am quite interested to see how you do against my Capoeira. Fluid movement and unconventional degrees of attack seem to be the a good countermeasure against your chosen style."

Sairaorg hummed, and scratched his chin at that. "It'll be interesting to say the least. While I understand how well I can use Full Contact Karate, I'm not fully used to fighting other Martial Artists." He didn't have to elaborate that point. We knew that because he wasn't born with the Power of Destruction, he'd been all but disowned by the Bael, so he didn't exactly get any tutors to help him. "My stature also seems to be a detriment against a style like Capoeira. The similarity in height may make it easier for me however, which could be some form of irony when being as tall as we are could be detrimental." My twin hummed at that, conceding the point. "Still, I'll most likely need to REALLY work for a victory against you if you're as adept at Capoeira as I believe you are."

Martha smiled at the blatant compliment to her competence, while I decided to get some ribbing in. "If you're lucky, you'll manage to get a good hit on her ego inflated dome." I moved out of the way of one head smack, only to get hit by a hand made of wind that was placed where I had moved. "Fucking ah...-" I wasn't ready for the bar of soap to jam its way into my mouth from out of fucking nowhere, but I spat it out the moment I could. A quick fire breath later, and the taste of soap was gone, and I was now glaring at my sister, and ignoring the snickering of our group. "Really?!"

Martha looked at me with a raised brow, and a poker face so strong one would think it was carved from stone. "Yes oh sister of mine?" Oh this bitch.

Narrowing my eyes at her, I huffed smoke at her, but it was dispersed by a sudden and totally natural gust of wind. "The temptation to suplex you into the ground is rising."

Her response was swift, and came with absolutely no change in her expression. "If memory serves, the last time you tried to do that resulted in you being buried 5 meters underground."

My eye twitched at that, though I turned away at that gaping look Sairaorg was giving us. "Stupid fucking Muddied Earth and Switching Spell combo." My twin lightly snorted outwardly, while she laughed in smug satisfaction over our link. {I hate you.}

[Yes yes, I love you too.] I huffed again, more smoke coming from my nostrils, and tuned out the peanut gallery.

My moment of annoyance ended a minute later, and I was back in the conversation about our respective Martial Arts. "I'm kinda interested in how you'll deal with my Renewal Taekwondo Variants." Sairaorg perked up at that, so apparently Rias didn't share that, neat. "Like mom, I've got a Lightning Style, which is stronger...-"

"Debatable." In her mind, it probably was.

Ignoring the interruption, I went on. "But I've also got my Dragon Style, which is basically me adding my draconic traits, like my tail, wings, and even horns to my style." He knew what I was, so this wasn't some big surprise. "My favorite's gotta be my Yong Mangchi. The first time mom saw me front flip and suddenly whip out my tail was hilarious." Sairaorg was obviously amused at that, and seemed to be trying to picture it.

Meanwhile, an irritated mom huffed, and glared at me. "We'd spent the last 10 minutes using conventional Renewal Taekwondo, why would I suddenly expect you to cheat and slam your tail into me out of nowhere?!"

"That's the point!" The smug grin that went with that answer didn't make the glare any better. (Note to self, annoy mom more often.)

"Tara spontaneously whipping out phallic appendages aside," I, Sairaorg, and mom choked, I heard some of the girls behind us too but I didn't know who was who, and I saw the smug look in my twin's eyes, our link not even needed for me to know she was amused at our reactions. "I believe we have reached our destination."

Hearing that, we meatheads looked at where she was looking, after making sure we could BREATH, and saw that yes, we reached the way station. Checking around with my senses, I made sure it was just us, since the place looked a little fucking sketchy, and paused when I felt a few Familiars around us. {6?}

It spoke volumes that my sister wasn't confused about me randomly sending a number over our link. [8. There are some type of burrowing creatures beneath us 10 meters West and South.]

I mentally tsk'd, underground combat/detection weren't my strong suits. {Ignore or destroy?}

[Wait until Sona and the others leave, we'll destroy them when we're ready to return home.] Made sense. [I'll deal with the pair underground, as well as the ones in the walls. I'll leave the airborne, as well as the other two, to you.]

With a mental nod, I tuned into the conversations. Said conversations were mostly Rias and Sona's Peerages saying goodbye and all that other pleasantry stuff. I didn't really care about that, we'd be seeing or hearing from them a few hours later so this wasn't even a drawn out separation, so my focus was free to hone in on those Familiars.

I ignored the ones hiding underground, and focused on the pair on the roofs, the one hiding in an alley, the one seemingly lazing on a windowsill, and the weird pair hiding INSIDE the walls... (The fuck are those? Wall Shadows?) I had no idea, but they smelled like dust, which made me want to sneeze, but I held it in.

It was when my daughter vaulted over Rias' shoulders, and onto mine as she took her rightful spot on my back, that I fully tuned back into the current situation. I didn't even blink at the sudden weight, and just looked up into the amber orbs of my Yokai daughter, who was looking down to me. "You couldn't like, wait a few minutes?"

The dull raise of her brow was already an answer in of itself. "No. You're not talking weird speak, and you're here, why wouldn't I do it now if I'd just do it a few minutes from now, Nya?" Faced with the logic of a cat, I, a highly intellectual dragon, nodded.

It just made sense to be honest.

My daughter's impromptu acrobatics aside, the conversations seemed to be winding down, and after a hug between Rias and Sona, I knew it was coming to an end. "Try not to stay here for too long, who knows what could happen with Gremory Luck at the helm of Kuoh could do."

Sona smiled at that, while Tsubasa snorted, having been on the wrong side of said luck in a bunch of chance games. "Depending on what I can get done, you should expect us to return by the end of the month."

A clearly fake gasp made its way out of Akeno's lips, and the spotlight was on her now. "Oh for shame, Souna Shitori missing a month of education? How scandalous.~"

The amused huff that Sona made was so close to a snort it was crazy. "Aren't you just passing History? I hardly believe you can make any comments like that, Akeno." OOF!

The Half Fallen Miko hardly reacted, save for the fastest twitch of an eye one would surely miss if they weren't me. "I do believe I have no clue what you're ta...-"

"Pretty sure she's only passing because of Martha-Oba." The playful grin on Rias' face was hilarious.

The situation was made even funnier when Akeno whipped her head so fast, her bow nearly came undone. "Et Tu Brutus?!"

"Almost fails history, but uses a history reference, the irony." The sudden input from my daughter made me wheeze, and I wasn't the only one.

All around, we were laughing at the look on the Sado Queen's face, a mix between tasting something sour, and maybe constipation. Though, the wicked smirk that made its way onto her face was the only warning we had before she struck back. "While I'm a fan of the concept of an all women gang bang, this isn't the one I want." Que us choking on our wheezes at that, and a few of us requiring smacks to the back in order to not perish in Hell, Koneko was a valuable addition to my back in this instance.

After THAT statement, things went back to normal, and the goodbyes were back on the table.

Though, given we were already at the end stages, they didn't last long. With a short nod and small smile between the Sitri and Belserion, we watched as the former and her Peerage ported away, leaving our group alone, save for the Familiars. Now that they were gone, we started making our way inside, which was when my sister sent the signal. [Kill them.]

Without missing a step, my tail was let out, and slammed into the earth. (Lightning Dragon's Maw.) I felt the spear like fangs of lightning form above my targets, and mentally 'bit' down onto them. I could tell the one in the alley, as well as the windowsill, died. I hit one of the roof bound ones, but the other moved away before it was chomped. I wasn't in the practice of letting things I wanted dead surviving, so I aimed my tail at where I felt the thing was, and fired. (Byakurai!) I felt the bolt of lightning shoot from my tail, and hit the Familiar, some kind of bird, with a squawk.

While that happened, I saw/felt the earth and stone around us shudder, and watched as walls turned into knockoff Iron Maidens, while two different parts of the roads turned into quicksand... With sharp bits of obsidian in them? {Why not glass?}

[I prefer obsidian.] I blinked at that answer, and was highly tempted to question it.

I didn't get the chance too, since we were being given looks by the rest of the group. I didn't even need to look up to know Koneko was giving me a similar look too, her 'hmm' was enough for that. So, seeing that, Martha and I shared a quick look, then answered. ""Familiars.""

The Heiress and essentially disowned Bael both frowned at that, while everyone else nodded. Though, a moment later, Rias blinked, and looked at mom, a curious look in her eyes as she did. Mom caught the look, and just raised a brow. Not sure what was going on, we just watched for a bit, and saw Rias nod. "Someone remind me to work on getting a slot to visit the Familiar Forest. With Sona and I returning to the Underworld, we'd might as well use the resources we can get here."

""Kay./Very well."" Akeno and Martha shared a brief look at that, then ignored it.

That was the last thing we had to do, so with it said, we made our way to the teleportation circles, and went home after Rias temporarily keyed them to our own circle.

Back in a manor only a bit smaller then the Gremory Mansion, a silver haired man grit his teeth in frustration at the loss of Familiars.

{An hour later}

When we got back home, we had a small celebration at Rias' victory over Riser, then broke off to do our own things. For Rias, that was a spontaneous manga hunt, one she dragged me along for the ride... A ride that ended up with us porting over to Tokyo, Akihabara specifically. My younger sister had been on cloud 9 a few minutes in, and had yet to return to the world us normal people lived. I was pretty sure it had just then fully settled that she was finally free, that Riser now had no power over her now, or in the future.

She was on such a high that I couldn't, nor wouldn't, bring her down from it. So I went along with it, and happily searched for Manga and or merch. At some point, Futaba called us, 'joining' Rias and I on our adventure as we looked around. My younger sister and I were even sharing a bud as the three of us talked. "I'm just saying, Examon has to be the coolest dragon EVER. I mean, he's got a fuckin LASER! What could be cooler then a dragon with a laser?" Futaba was enamored with the Digimon game, which wasn't a surprise given it was called 'Hacker's Memory.' Really, I'd expected her to have been playing it earlier since it came out around the start of the year, but she didn't have a PS4 at the time, she did now though. It had been a birthday present from mom, one that ended up requiring Martha to make Futaba's room bigger on the inside so it and the TV Uncle Ro bought her to fit, which she did by using a Raven as a proxy, and weaving her magic through it...

I didn't get how that worked, but Futaba's room was now big enough for more stuff, and Uncle Ro didn't have to pay a damn thing for renovations. A win win if I'd ever seen or heard of one. So now, the little gremlin had the holy trifecta of Anime, Games and Manga to keep her distracted when she wasn't being a menace to society.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. "As a dragon whose breath attack IS a laser, I have to agree."

"Right!? I mean, it's the co...- Hold up, rewind, huh?" I blinked, and shared a look with Rias.

My sister looked over at me from the shelf she was looking at, raising a brow as she did. The silent 'Yes?' Clued me into the fact she wasn't listening to what I said. Wonderful. "Did no one ever tell you about that?"

"I'd think I'd remember being told you were a laser, Tara-neechan." I had no idea how we missed that.

"Well... Uh... I am? Sorta?"

Futaba was silent for a bit, while Rias just gave me the most unimpressed deadpan she'd ever given me. "What Tara-nee is trying to say is her Vocalized Dragon Slayer Roar is a laser. A very deadly laser we've only seen her Vocally do a handful of times because it'd destroy too much of the forest to cover up."

"... And no one thought 'Hey, Futaba would probably like to see big laser go boom?' No one at all?" Hearing Futaba whine about not seeing me blow shit up really put into perspective how out of the ordinary our family was. "You guys suck." REALLY put into perspective.

Though, while I thought about how we were all used to this shit, Rias snorted, and looked back to the shelf of Manga. "Sounds like someone who doesn't want the fully functional Duel Disk the Agares are working on."

Wait a motherfucking second here. ""The WHAT?!"" Our surprise was justified, because there had been no lead up to that particular bomb, none whatsoever!

My sister/Futaba's cousin looked back at me, and blinked. "... Tara-nee I get, she doesn't really use the Devil Net," True. "But YOU Futaba-chan? How did you not notice the add put out by the Agaras?"

The resident super hacker was silent for a bit, the only noises coming through were the AC, and the tapping of her keyboard. "... In my defense, I've been playing FF-XIV for almost all of last month?"

"Why is that a question?" She had a point, one I'd wondered after Futaba was done talking.

"Because that's the only excuse I've got. I dunno how I missed it." And there was the confession. I snorted at that, Rias laughed, and Futaba just sighed. "Ah shuddup and go back to goodie hunting." That just increased our amusement. "... Fuckin redheads." We were fucking cackling at that.

{Another hour later}

After the shopping spree, we dropped off whatever we bought for Futaba, then ported back home.

When we got home, it was to a relatively empty house. I knew my twin was having some mother daughter time with Cynthia, Asia had been dragged along by the little rabbit as well, so her not being home was expected. From checking the group chat before we came back, I knew Issei and Kiba were out doing guy things, so they were probably at the arcade or something. Sona and her Peerage were still in Hell, so that only left my usual group of friends.

Of them, Akeno and Koneko were on a couch in the livingroom, seemingly waiting for Rias and I to come back. I could also smell Gasper nearby, and a quick look around let me see the trap just sitting in his box and watching TV along with the other two. Kuroka was nowhere to be found, so she was either out doing her own thing, with my sister and niece, or with mom and Sairaorg.

Coming in, my daughter turned and smiled at me, which was followed by a 'eep' from Gasper. The trap went back into his box nearly faster then I could track, and peered out of it as he gazed at Rias and I.

Though, that was the norm with him, and he'd come out eventually. "Hello you two, how'd your shopping go?"

Rias smiled at her Queen's question, and engaged her in conversation while I went over to my daughter, and waited for her to move. Like I expected, the moment I was in arms reach, she leaned back all the way, going over the couch, and wrapped her legs around my neck, taking her place on my shoulders. My daughter loved being on me, and never wasted a moment to do just that.

We shared a smile after she got comfy, then I spoke. "You have a good time, kitten?"

"Hmm. Yes. It'd be an even better time if we could get get some cake. A triple decker chocolate cake to be specific, Nya." This cheeky little brat.

I rolled my eyes at that, but nodded after. "Now?" My daughter hummed to herself, and after a bit, nodded. Seeing that, I shrugged, and looked over to my sister and her Queen, who were looking at us in amusement. "I'm saddled with cake duty, I'll be back... Eventually... Where the fuck do I just go find a cake like that?" It was just now dawning on me that I had no idea where to go to get one of those big cakes.

"You know," Looking at Rias, and felt some hope building. "You could always just order one to be made. Koneko never said the cake had to be made/eaten today."

My eyes snapped up towards my daughter, who had a pensieve look on her face. We watched as she took a few seconds, then a minute, and eventually another to come to a conclusion. "I can wait."

"Yes!" I did NOT fist pump, and I'd deny it whenever asked.

Anyway, now that I didn't have to go hunting after a big cake for my gluttonous daughter, I wasn't sure what to do...

The very distant rumble of thunder gave me an idea of just what I could kill time doing, and a grin formed on my face. "Kitten." My daughter hummed, and I knew she was waiting for me to go on. "Wanna see how Grandma and Rias' cousin are doing?"Another hum, then a nod. "Nice!" I gave Rias, Akeno and Gasper a wave, and happily made my way out of the house, and ported over to the grounds with a Thunder Body.

Porting over to the grounds, the sight my daughter and I met took us by surprise. The grounds were a wreck, trees, the earth, and even a few boulders were charred as if struck by lightning, cracks ran through the earth like spiderwebs, and there were craters fucking EVERYWHERE. It was like a war went on. (What the fuuu...-)

I didn't even get to finish that thought, since I heard Sairaorg's voice sound out from somewhere in the woods. "Dance of the White Tiger!" Turning towards the source, it was easy to spot since the path of destruction left me a clear view. Sairaorg and mom were still(?) sparring, looking like one big bruise, clothes looking shredded and burnt but still covering him, they were probably from Grandma's brand, but he had this massive smile on his face that wouldn't look too out of place on mine as his fist shot out towards my mom.

Opposite of him was mom, her training clothes also looking worse for wear but still enough to cover her, hair fanned out as lightning danced through it, bloodied and bruised, but grinning just as wildly as Sairaorg as she rushed at him. "Renewal Taekwondo - Lightning Style: Uloe kkoneun salam!" As Sairaorg's fist got close, mom did the start of a Baek Rok, but instead of going all the way, she kicked him in the jaw, then started spinning, lightning gathering around her in a storm, then she pushed herself off the ground, taking to the sky for a brief moment, before she used a Lightning Body to reappear just above Sairaorg, the lightning she gathered earlier still around her as she slammed her knee into his already staggering form, electrocution coming along with the physical blow.

That all happened in under a few seconds, which was too fast for Sairaorg to counter, so he braced and let mom rain blows down onto him, searching for an opening. Said opening came when mom had slammed her foot into his knee, but instead of falling, the Devil caught her leg in his grip, and gave off a bloody grin moments before he smashed his head into hers.

I was pretty sure he had Toki active or something, since mom staggered way more then she should've, which made the opening even better, since he let go of her leg, and moved. "Second times the charm! DANCE OF THE WHITE TIGER!" And what a fucking dance it was. Each move led into the next, a flow going along to a tune Sairaorg only knew... It was so fucking cool that I felt my tail appear and wag around in excitement.

His first hit was dead center, stealing the breath from mom's lungs, the second hit landed on her collar, the next was on one of her elbows, and so on. I recognized that not only were his hits harder then they should've been, but that he was getting faster and faster as they kept coming. Though, around the 15th or so hit, mom had managed to get her bearings, and started dodging as best as she could. She was able to dodge the next few hits, but a devastating hit from his right leg caught her in the jaw, an audible crack sounding off as it did. (Oof, looks like Martha's gonna have her work cut out for her whenever they're done.) I knew she could handle it, nothing short of decapitation, or the destruction of our heart/brain could stop her from healing us after all the time she'd put into her learning, so a bunch of broken bones/teeth would be a piece of cake... (Ignoring that.)

Anyway, instead of ragdolling, mom went with the blow, cartwheeling away, and going for a Thunder Body when she concentrated well enough to go for it. She repositioned herself 10ms away from Sairaorg, and grumbled as she reset her jaw. It was while she was doing that, that she must've noticed our presence, since she turned towards us and blinked. "Oh, Hi H...-" She spat out some blood and teeth, not even phased at having to do so. "Hey girls!"

Mom's sudden change in demeanor surprised Sairaorg, and he turned towards where she was looking, and spotted my daughter and I. I had no idea what expression Koneko was making, but when he saw the grin on my face, and noticed how excited I looked, his face broke into a massive and bloody grin.

Yeah, he was going to get along great with mom and I. "I wonder if insanity is a family trait... I'm suddenly more worried then ever now, Nya" My daughter would come around eventually.

{Tara's General Narration}

Safe to say, I joined the brawl. Koneko had stayed behind for a bit, watching us beat the shit out of each other for fun, before eventually getting bored and deciding to go spend time with her sister.

Sairaorg was fun. Fighting with him was almost as good as fighting Issei. My fellow dragon, not that he was one yet, was able to hit like a train, and could stand up to my punishment. Sairaorg could do that too, but he was not only more durable then the Red Dragon Emperor, but also had an actual style compared to the brawler that Issei was. It also helped that he brought something new for us to experience, since no one used his style, and so we were free to be surprised at his moves.

After the fight, which lasted another hour, an hour which saw the fight turn into me against him against mom, mom and I against him, and even him and mom against me, we ended up heading back home, bloody and bruised to hell and back, but all satisfied with what we'd done. Hell, I'd even come up with ideas for new spells and moves based on what Sairaorg had done. I'd need to practice and work out the kinks, but I was sure I'd have some new tricks up my sleeves later.

After getting healed by an irate Martha, she was more annoyed that she had to set up multiple Growth Wards over the grounds to regrow all the trees and grass we destroyed, we spent the rest of the day getting to know the new Devil, as well as celebrating Rias' freedom.

The party went on for a while, and we even ended up getting a cake from one of our local spots. It wasn't the big one Koneko wanted, but it was a cake nonetheless.

Life was good for us.

Couldn't think of an Omake cause of how much this chapter fought me. I might end up just adding it to the last chapter some day for the fuck of it.
