Colby POV
Annalise and I leave the hotel and make there our way outside where a limo is waiting. We climb inside and pop open some champagne. "So where are we going?" Annalise wonders looking outside the limo.
"You'll see."
"You don't like to tell people things do you?"
I grin. "It's more fun that way."
We arrive at a lookout where a couch is set up with candles and flowers decorated around it. "You and lookouts." she chuckles.
We take a seat and fall into easy conversation. "So when did you learn to sing?" I ask.
"I did singing in high school but I never actually did anything with it because I was so invested in gymnastics but it's a hobby of mine."
"And why did you decide to sing tonight?"
"I wanted to show you a side of me that isn't just so confident and knows what she wants."
"Did you write the song?"
"I did." She confirms. "I wrote it during my therapy after my brother died, it wasn't easy but I learnt from it. What about you do you have any secret talents?"
"I'm pretty good at madden."
"Really, what team?"
"Bears."
Annalise makes a face. "I may have to do some thinking?" She jokes.
"Is that going to be a problem?"
"Still deciding."
"What about you, what other sports do you enjoy?"
"I love gymnastics, but I do love my team sports, netball, basketball, rugby, NFL."
"Rugby?"
"Its Australia's version of football there is union and league."
"Do you have a team?"
"Yes, my whole family are Parramatta Eels fans. When it comes to our sport we get quite invested."
"Likewise."
"So last time we talked I told you about my life, tell me about yours?" She suggests.
"Since you opened up okay." I accept. "I'm from Iowa and currently living in Davenport where I have my own wrestling school with my old tag partner from the Indies."
"So is that what you want to do when wrestling finishes?"
"Yes. We currently take yearly submissions and the more publicicty that is out there the more people that will sign up."
"What about crossfit?" Annalise asks.
"I'm just as passionate about it."
"Same, I got hooked when I first heard about it." She agrees. "What about your family?"
"I have a brother Brandon who's a few years older than me, I have a loving mother and step dad."
"Your dad?"
"He wasn't around when I was born, we have a relationship now which took time, but we are good."
"That's good to hear."
After a while of talking I pull a rose out from behind the couch. "Okay, where do they come from?" She asks laughing.
I chuckle. "I don't think I have to ask you this but I'm going to anyway, will you accept this rose?"
"Of course." she accepts leaning in and we kiss. The kiss starts off slow and I pull her in closer towards me and lie her down underneath me and we make out.
Annalise POV
Getting back to the apartment I walk into my room to see Amanda and Lauren awake. "There she is." They greet.
"Hi." I greet.
"How was it?" Amanda asks.
"It was great." I respond. "What happened after Lace and Olivia left?"
"They got straight into the car and left, we then hung out with Jon and Joe." Lauren answers.
"How'd that go?"
"It was fun. They also gave us all advice about Colby."
"I need to shower, so we can p talk more after."
3rd Person POV
The next day the ladies wake up and waiting for them is a card in the living room.
Emily grabs it and calls all the ladies down. She reads out the card and it informs the ladies that there's no rose ceremony tonight and there will be a surprise waiting for them soon.
Later that day the doorbell rings and the girls freeze. Annalise being closest to the door, opens it and on the other side on the ground is another card.
She picks it up and walks into the lounge. "Girls there's another card." She announces and the ladies gather in the living room. Annalise opens the card. "Ladies, I hope you enjoyed Vegas, but it's time to pack up your bags because our next destination is calling." She reads. "Ladies, you're off to... Florida."
Annalise POV
I quickly pack and gather in the lounge waiting for the rest of the girls. JoJo enters and she smiles. "Hi." She greets.
"Hi. You finished packing?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'm excited about heading to Florida."
"Yeah?"
"It should be interesting to see what we are doing."
I nod. "It should, do you have any guesses?"
"Well off the top of my head I'm picturing Orlando, which has Universal studios as well as the performance centre."
"That's WWEs developmental system right?"
"Yeah. I'm surprised you know that."
"Colby told me, he said that's where the superstars train."
"So you used to watch?"
"Yeah, all the time, I stopped in 2010."
"So way before Seth's time?"
"Way before."
"Who was your favourite?"
"Triple H, The Rock and Stone Cold."
"Stone Cold huh?"
"Yeah, whenever that glass broke it was just a different feeling."
"How are you feeling since Lace outed you last night?"
"I'm okay. I would have loved to be the one that told you girls my story, but I guess it's out there now."
"How did he die?" She asks quietly.
"Car accident." I answer. "He was on his way to pick me up and someone ran a red light and rammed straight into the driver's side."
"I'm sorry."
I smile. "Thanks."
"You're really something special you know." She admits.
"I really don't think I am."
"You are and Colby see's that."
"He could feel the same way about you."
"Annalise, the way he looks at you is no where near the same as he looks at all of us."
"That could change."
"And I hope it does." she says standing up. "I better go check on the girls, thanks for the chat."
3rd Person POV
It's 4am and Colby enters the ladies house and makes his way around the house quietly. He goes into the first bedroom to find Lauren H, Emily and Hayley. He starts to poke Emily who opens her eyes in shock and it takes her a minute to realise that Colby is in her room. Once she realises she freaks out. "OMG." She shrieks.
He laughs. "Morning."
"What are you doing here?" She questions.
"I'm making breakfast." he announces. The noise has now woken Lauren H and Hayley and they both sit up in shock. "Morning."
"OMG." They shriek.
"Get up because we're all cooking breakfast together." he announces and exits the room and the girls fluster out of bed trying to make themselves presentable.
Colby enters the next bedroom which contains JoJo, Caila and Jen. He flips on the light which makes the girls sit up in shock. "OMG." They squeal.
"Morning ladies." he laughs. "Get up we are making breakfast." He orders
He then makes his way to the last room containing, Lauren B, Amanda and Annalise. Colby pulls out a whistle from his bag and grins as he eyes all three ladies sleeping peacefully.
He suddenly blows the whistle and both Lauren and Amanda sit upright. Annalise groans annoyed that someone is ruining her sleep. "Yeah try again." Amanda encourages laughing.
Colby blows the whistle again and this time Annalise's eyes flutter open. It takes her a few seconds to realise that the light in her room is on and standing above her is none other than the guy she's trying to impress. She groans and covers her face with the pillow.
Colby laughs removing the pillow. "Morning sunshine." He greets.
She groans sitting up turning to look at the clock. "4am, really?" She grumbles.
He chuckles. "Get up princess we have a big day today."
She groans. "This is mean."
"That's the point."
"Why are you waking us up at this godly hour?"
"Because we have a big day."
"Can I pass?" She wishes.
He chuckles. "Nope, compulsory for all." He denies. "Now wake up and meet in the kitchen." He orders and leaves the girls. Annalise collapses back down on the bed. "Up." he shouts from outside. She bolts up shocked that she got caught. "Don't make me come in there again."
"You wouldn't." she dares.
Colby opens the door ajar so the girls can see him smirking. "Oh I would."
Colby POV
Whilst waiting for everyone in the kitchen I get started on food prep. I hear footsteps and see JoJo, Caila and Jen who have miraculously put their faces on. "First ones out, bonus points to you girls." I praise.
"What are we making?" Caila asks.
"You girls are in charge of toast." I direct as Hayley and Emily walk out, closely followed closely by Lauren B, Lauren H and Amanda. "Thanks for joining us ladies." I joke. "You three are on eggs." Finally Annalise walks out still struggling to wake up. "And finally the last one is here."
She glares at me playfully. "You're lucky you're good looking." She grumbles.
She slowly sits down on the bench laying her head down. "No, no, you are in charge of drinks for everyone." I order waking her up.
"Everyone's getting water." she groans standing up.
"She's not a morning person is she?" I ask Caila.
"No. We've learnt not to rush her in the mornings, otherwise it's a side you don't want to see."
Annalise hearing this glares at us. "I can hear you." She alerts.
Once breakfast is made everyone is sitting down at the table. "I want to thank you ladies for being troopers this morning." I address everyone. "I know it isn't fun waking up that early, but I want you to experience the day in the life that I live." I explain further. "Some days I don't even get to sleep, because I travel so much. So today, you're going to be experiencing my world."
"What?" Lauren H wonders.
"You all are going to experience what it's like to be a WWE superstar."
"Cool." JoJo expresses.
"I know this isn't the most extravagant date, but this is my life, and sometimes you'll come on the road with me, so this is just what we would have to do."
"Thanks for showing us." Amanda thanks.
"Your welcome, just prepare yourself for a tough day."
Annalise POV
After breakfast Colby directs us to get ready and meet him outside in 20 minutes. I quickly change into black tights and a black crop top and a pink pull-over over the crop top. I place my hair in a messy bun and I'm ready to go.
Lauren, Amanda and I walk out to find Colby leaning against a car. "First three." He declares.
"That we are." Lauren B confirms.
"Are you ladies ready for a fun day?"
"Define fun?" Amanda wonders.
"You'll see." he grins as some of the other ladies start to walk out.
We arrive at the WWE Performance centre and enter the building after Colby. As we step inside we take a look around at the huge facility.
Inside the main arena are four wrestling rings which surround a large ramp. Suddenly the lights on the stage start flashing on and off, and music starts to play as dozens of people come running down the ramp and step into the four rings.
There are four people in each ring doing drills. We turn our attention back to the ramp and see two more people walk down. One is in an NXT shirt and the other is in a fancy suit and and I immediately recognise who that is and I am starstruck. Triple fucking H. "OMG." JoJo whispers.
I turn to face her just as shocked. "OMG."
The two men on the ramp watch the sixteen wrestlers continue to run drills. Colby asks the us to follow him and he approaches Matt Bloom and Triple H. "Hunter." Colby greets.
"Seth." he welcomes warmly. "I see you've brought some friends."
"I have. Are you ready to see if they have what it takes?"
Triple H grins. "Let's see what they got."
"Attention." Matt yells out and all the wrestlers in the rings immediately stop what they are and doing and line up. Matt turns to face the ladies. "Ladies, did you see what these athletes were doing?" he asks us. And we nod. "Good, because today, you ladies are going to be completing a wwe try out, to get an understanding as to how hard it is to actually be here."Matt explains. "Today, you're going to be pushed to your limits, we don't expect you to know much, but we expect you to at least try your best, that's all we ask."
Triple H then steps up. "You are going to get the privilege of using our state of the art training facility. So we ask that you try your best and who knows you could potentially earn yourself a contract." Triple H predicts.
"We will give you a few minutes to talk." Matt tells Colby and they walk away.
"I know I have pulled this on you, but for you to undersand just how hard my lifes work is, you are going to have to live it for one day." Colby announces. "That was why I woke you up at 4, that is why I have asked you to come here today, and as Hunter and Matt explained, you are going to be doing an actual tryout." He repeats. "So please, try your best but don't do anything that you aren't comfortable with and remember to have fun."
Matt rejoins us. "Alright ladies, you are going to be split up into two groups, one lead by myself, and the other by Hunter." Matt says. "We have also selected some of the top superstars in our company to help you throughout the day, so please listen to them."
"Lauren H, JoJo, Caila and Annalise you will be with me." Triple H calls out. "And joining us will be, Sasha Banks and Bayley."
Two ladies appear and walk down the ramp, one has purple hair and the other has natural brown hair. They walk over to the group of four. "Are you ladies ready?" Sasha Banks asks.
"Yes." They respond.
"Good." Bayley grins. "Follow us."
We follow after Sasha and Bayley who escort us to one of the empty rings and they line us up in front. "The first thing that you do in a try out is a fitness test." Sasha begins. "We will call out random exercises, you will do them as fast as you can but as safe as you can."
"If at any time you feel like you are going to be sick or hurt yourself, please stop and take a breather." Bayley enforces.
"Are you ladies ready?" Sasha asks us.
We all nod. "Yes."
"Alright ladies, 20 push ups, go." Bayley calls out and we get down and do 20 push ups.
"30 high knees." Sasha calls out. "20 push ups." She calls out again.
"10 star jumps." Bayley continues on.
Once we have warmed up Triple H rejoins the group after watching over the fitness and asks us to get in the ring. We start with side running in a clock wise direction and then switch to anti-clockwise.
We then get directed to one of the four corners and start to do some running high knees. Bloody hell! This is hard.
Colby POV
Watching the ladies tryout today has made me realise that they are actually really trying to win me over. They haven't once complained and are just taking it on the chin.
Some of the ladies are actually suprising me, JoJo for example, I had no idea that she could do this, Lauren H on the other hand is struggling but she's continuing to do it and isn't stopping.
I walk over to the second group which is led by Hunter. "How's it going?" I ask Paul.
"Better than I expected, Annalise is it? She's suprising me." He admits.
I chuckle. "She was a gymnast."
"I can see that." He grins. "How's it going?"
"Good, I'm more comfortable now, and I have some strong connections with a few girls."
"I can probably guess."
"Have a go."
"Let's see, there's JoJo and Annalise, and over on the other side is Amanda and Lauren B."
I look at him. "How did you know?"
"I know things, and I've seen you glancing at someone in particular more than once." He smirks. "I'm proud of you, you could have easily said no to this, but you didn't and look where it's taken you."
"You're right."
"Of course I am, I'm always right." he laughs.
3rd Person POV
The ladies have just finished with the fitness portion of the morning and they have all done really well. They are given a half hour break to get prepared for promos. The ladies will be given a character or persona and will have to cut a promo against someone selected at random.
Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Cesaro, Sasha Banks, Bayley and Charlotte have been helping out with the tryouts too, where they have been relaying information back to Matt, Triple H and Colby.
The first up to cut a promo is Caila who will be working with Bayley. Following Caila is JoJo who is paired with Charlotte, and surprisingly she is doing really well.
Next up is Jen, who's extremely nervous but she gets through her promo with Bayley. Emily is up after Jen and she's a heel working with a baby face Sasha Banks and she is coming on a little strong.
Lauren B goes next and she's working across from Charlotte. Amanda follows after Lauren B and is pretty much being herself against Sasha, and the poor girl isn't doing very well.
"Alright next up is Annalise." Matt calls out.
Annalise POV
I stand up and get in the ring and wait for my promo partener. Suddenly Dean Ambrose's music blasts and I grin. "Annalise, you are playing the bitch of the divas division." Matt informs me.
Dean stands at the top of the ramp as his music cuts off. "Well look who we have here." Dean addresses. "If it isn't Seth's Bitch."
I gasp and turn my head up at the ramp to face him. "How dare you call me that." I shout and everyone's eyes go wide. "How dare you come out here and interrupt me, has Seth beaten you up to many times that you have nothing left up here?" I retort.
Dean smirks. "You know, I was just thinking, where is Seth tonight, I thought you two were attached at the hip?"
I roll my eyes. "Let me make one thing perfectly clear, Seth doesn't own me, I sure as hell can go wherever I want and just because he isn't standing next to me, doesn't mean he's far away."
"You think your so tough Annalise, selling out to the Authoirty and becoming it's bitch."
I glare. "You know what I don't have time for this, I'd just be wasting my breath."
I go to walk away. "Running off to your sellout boyfriend?" Dean teases.
I halt and slowly turn around smirking. "On second thought." I rethink and turn back around and slap him across the face. "Don't ever interrupt me again, because you won't have to worry about Seth, you'd have to worry about me." I warn and drop the mike as everyone watches on in shock. Dean holds his cheek grinning as I exit the ring and make my way up the ramp. I turns around and tauntingly hold my cheek. "Sorry."
After my promo I'm pumped up. I walk back to my seat and I see everyone's eyes on me. I get flustered a little and try not to show it.
We all line up in front of the stage and Colby walks out with Matt, Triple H, Cesaro, Sasha, Bayley, Jon, Joe and Charlotte. I eye Jon and see he has a hand print on his face. I laugh subtly and he grins at me.
Triple H steps forward. "Ladies, I want to thank you all for being here today, you all did extremely well, and some of you even surprised us." He addresses. "Today wasn't a competition, today was about seeing how far you were willing to go to understand Seth's work, and some of you, could potentially be very good for this company." He continues. "Specifically JoJo and Annalise." He adds. "So before you all leave I would like to speak to you all individually. So Annalise, would you come with me?"
"Sure." I accept.
I follow Hunter into a meeting room and he directs me to sit down. "So Annalise, how's this process been going for you?" He asks me.
"It's going well, I was a bit skeptical at first but each day it gets easier. This isn't normal so I'm really trying." I admit.
"That's all Colby asks for." He smiles. "Now today, how did you think you went?"
I laugh. "I don't know, I wasn't very good with the physical fitness as this is a whole different ball park than gymnastics, but I loved it." I admit. "Today showed me just how hard it is to do this."
"Your promo today was probably one of the best promo's I've seen in a tryout, especially from someone that has never done one before." He praises.
"Are you serious?" I question.
"Yes. As soon as you were given your character, you just turned into her, I don't know where you got that type of mindset, but you just looked so comfortable up there."
"I guess it comes from performing as a gymnast and being on stage, I just wanted to try my best."
"You did extremely well and when you improvised the slap to Dean Ambrose that was just the icing on the cake."
"Thanks, that means so much coming from you."
"Now I know you're in this for Colby, but when this finishes I really think you should consider speaking to me, because from what I've seen you could be an amazing superstar."
"You're joking."
"I'm not. Whenever you finish on the show, if you ever feel like a career change, ring me."
"Wow." I whisper shocked. "I wasn't expecting that coming from you."
"What do you mean?" He questions.
"When I was young you were one of my favorite superstars, and now here I am sitting infront of you and you're complimenting me, I feel like I'm dreaming."
He smiles. "I'm going to give you some advice. Don't have so many negative doubts about yourself." He advises. "You're talented Annalise and I think that if you truly put your mind to something you could really succeed." He continues. "But all I am asking you today is to just think about it, because I know I'll be seeing you again."
I look at him confused."How do you know that?" I question.
Triple H grins. "Because I'm always right."
