Chapter 30: Family Bonds
Weiss sighed as she has wiped the sweat from her forehead and deactivated the large glyph that was in front of her, the schnee heiress looked turned and looked at Mynaster, her weapon for a bit before she heard someone coming. The heiress looked and she saw the family's trustworthy butlers Klein and Alfred and Weiss noticed that Klein was carrying a water picture and a cup and Alfred was carrying a towel.
Weiss smiled as she went to her butlers and she went and grab the glass of water from Klein and the towel from Alfred.
"That was quite the display madam Weiss it seems you have been keeping up with your training" Alfred said.
"Yes indeed I can tell you gotten stronger " Klein said as his eyes glowed yellow and Weiss giggled a bit.
"Thank you, Klein and Alfred I really appreciate the compliments now then is there something the matter?" Weiss asked the two butlers.
"Actually madam I believe that your mother and father was having a meeting with general Ironwood and we didn't mean to overhear but it seems like the general has requested to see you" Alfred said as Weiss began to drink the nice cold glass of water and she also wiped her face with the towel Alfred gave her.
"I see well I guess I shouldn't keep them waiting do you-" Weiss started to say but Alfred already took myrtenaster from her hands.
"Of course not we will bring your weapon back into your room while also cleaning it up at the same time" Alfred said to Weiss.
"Thank you Alfred, Klein" Weiss said as she left the garden and was making her way towards her fathers office.
Once Weiss was making her way down the hallways she couldn't help but look as she look and saw some pictures of not only of her grandfather Nicholas but of her paternal grandparents Thomas and Martha Wayne along with her father when he was just a little boy. Weiss couldn't help but smile a bit as she saw the photo of her grandparents as she was heading straight towards her father office and as she was getting closer Weiss heard a familiar voice.
"Hey Weiss" the voice said causing Weiss to gasp and jump back a bit as she turned around and saw that Whitley was standing right behind her.
"Whitley I told you many times not to sneak up on me like that, seriously how do you do that" Weiss said as she gave her younger brother a annoyed look.
"I'm sorry Weiss I couldn't help myself scaring you has been pretty fun" Whitley said causing Weiss to roll her eyes at her younger brother.
"Uh-huh" Weiss said as she looked at her younger brother and she couldn't help but notice how different he looked compared to a few years ago. Whitley has gotten taller once more Weiss believes that Whitley is about five foot seven which means he is just about almost Yang's and Winter height. Whitley was wearing a black suit and underneath his black jacket he was wearing a white dress shirt which was unbutton and he was wearing black dress shoes. Currently Whitley has his now shoulder length long hair tied in a man bun and Weiss noticed that despite Whitley still has his lean built she noticed that he gotten more muscular as well as if he was training and working out.
But its not only that while Whitley still acts the same, Weiss just couldn't help that not only that Whitley looks changed but she feels like he gone through a major change as well.
"So mind telling me what is that you want?" Weiss asked her younger brother.
"Oh I guess you can say I'm being nosy and want to see what our parents and the general are discussing about and to act as your support" Whitley said to his older sister.
"Thank you Whitley but you know that I'll be fine" Weiss said.
"I know that Weiss just like mother father and Winter you are strong but that doesn't mean that I won't be there for you Weiss you know that I will always be here for you" Whitley said.
Weiss smiled "I know thank you Whitley come on lets get going" after that Weiss was starting to make her way to her father office with Whitley starting to walk behind her but Whitley noticed that Weiss stopped walking.
"Is something the matter Weiss?" Whitley asked.
Weiss turned to look at her brother and sighed a bit.
"It's just that you seem different Whitley...I don't know how to explain it I know it sounds silly but.." Weiss said.
"Well...I guess you could say that I have change since the fall of Beacon lets just say I realized what I need to do but Weiss if I am in trouble I know you will be there for me but despite that I'm still the same "annoying" little brother that you hate so much" Whitley said as he gave his older sister a small smile.
Weiss couldn't help but laugh at that "thanks Whitley I needed to hear that come on lets go" Weiss said as she turned around and started to walk again.
"Of course I'm right behind you" Whitley said the young Schnee held out his left hand and he created a small white glyph before deactivating it before he went to follow his older sister.
A couple of minutes later the brother and sister duo had finally reach their father office and once they reached the door Weiss and Whitley heard their parents and Ironwood talking.
"I'm telling you James your making a big mistake" Bruce said.
"Please Bruce, Willow just look at it from my point of view I thought you two would agree to this" James said to the married couple.
"Do you realize by doing this that not only your putting our workers in the dust exploit division out of the jobs but you are stopping us from giving one of our most valuable resources to the other kingdoms in order to defend themselves" Willow said.
Weiss then slowly opened the door and her and Whitley went inside their father office and they looked and saw that their mother and father were sitting by each other on one couch with Barbara (unknown to Weiss that was actually Phyrra) who was standing by the left side of the couch and Ironwood was sitting across from them.
"This is only temporary just in case the other kingdoms decided to declare war on us" Ironwood said.
"I understand James but this is the time for the kingdoms to work together this isn't just about Atlas you have to remember that" Bruce said.
"I-" Ironwood started to say but he turned his head as he looked and saw that Weiss and Whitley were in the room.
Once Bruce saw that his children were in the room he sighed a bit as he and Willow stood up from the couch along with Ironwood.
"We will discuss the later James, I'm sure you know the way out" Bruce said to Ironwood.
"Of course I do" Ironwood said to Bruce before looking at Weiss and Whitley " , Whitley I apologize I should have been gone by now" Ironwood said to the Schnee siblings.
"It's ok" Weiss said to the general.
Ironwood then walked towards the door as he turned to look at Bruce and Willow.
"Until next time Bruce, Willow" Ironwood said to the married couple.
"Goodbye James" Willow said.
"Maybe when we are both off duty we can get a drink together" Bruce said to Ironwood causing him to chuckle.
"Yes I'm looking forward to when that day comes and please know that you will have a home in atlas academy we will be back in session before you know it" Ironwood said to Weiss after that he left the room.
Willow sighed as Bruce started to walk and sit down behind his desk.
"Honestly that man its like he has tunnel vision he doesn't see the bigger picture" Willow said.
"Barbara would mind setting me up with a meeting with the shipment division in the evening, I need to inform them on what general Ironwood is about to do" Bruce said to Barbara.
"Of course right away Mr. Wayne" Barbara said as she took out her scroll and began setting up the meeting.
"Father, Mother what was that about exactly?" Weiss asked her parents.
"Well dear the general has decided that Atlas is forbidden to exploit dust to other kingdoms leaving many workers out of the job because of a precautionary measure as he says" Willow said.
"Honey its ok for now, you know I will pay my workers for how ever long this lasts don't worry I'll keep talking to James about this issue" Bruce said to his wife causing Willow to look and smile at her husband.
"You really are kind dear, you know that's one of the reasons why I love you" Willow said to Bruce.
"Besides my good looks" Bruce jokingly said with a smirk on his face causing Willow to roll her eyes but smile at her husband.
"Oh hush you" Willow said earning some chuckles from Weiss Whitley and Barbara.
"Anyway I can imagine why he doing this after what happen in Vale luckily things didn't get as bad as they did and the rebuilding process in the town and at Beacon is going smoothly" Whitley said.
"All the more reason we need to work together even I know this isn't about just Atlas anymore" Willow said.
"I agree, anyway father is there something else that you wanted to see me for?" Weiss asked her father.
"Actually Weiss there is I know that you have finished training so I was thinking we go down to mantle a bit for lunch I know a great place where the food is good" Bruce said.
"Um sure father I would like that" Weiss said as this was one of those rare moments that she is actually going to spend time with her father with just her by herself and not with the entire family.
"That's actually perfect Whitley we can have some mother and son time while we have lunch, actually Barbara can come too" Willow said as she looked at Barbara.
"Oh it's ok I don't want to interrupt your time with Whitley, I really should get back to work" Barbara said.
"Nonsense dear, you have been a wonderful assistant to my husband, you need to take break once in awhile don't you agree Whitley?" Willow asked her youngest child.
"Sure I don't mind one bit" Whitley said as he smiled at Barbara he really didn't over the two years where they had gotten to know each other and during the times where they had undergo training under his father. Whitley and Phyrra had developed a close friendship with one another, Whitley admired Phyrra for her bravery, strength and modesty. Even though she was strong and is now the fall maiden she doesn't let it get to her head she sees it as a sense of duty and using her skills and power in order to protect the world. Phyrra was all of that and was a kind soul and when this is all over...that idiot Jaune will realize how lucky he is to have a girl like Phyrra by his side.
"Ok then I would love to join you and Whitley for lunch " Barbara said as she smiled at Willow.
"I guess its settle then" Bruce said as he stood up from his desk.
"Weiss I suggest you get ready I'll have us arrange us a plane so we can head down to Mantle" Bruce said.
"Well then I guess its about time we make our leave as well why don't we have lunch in the garden area in the while we are there Alfred can make us some lunch" Willow said as she started to turn around and head for the door.
"Ok then we'll see you later father, Weiss" Whitley said as he and Barbara followed Willow out the door and Barbara looked at Weiss and Bruce and she smiled and nodded at them and after that the three of them left Bruce's office leaving just the father and daughter duo.
"I should get ready as well father I suppose we will meet each other at the front of the manor?" Weiss asked.
"Yeah that's the plan" Bruce said to his daughter.
"Ok then I'll see you in a few minutes father" Weiss said as she turned around and walked out of the room leaving Bruce alone for the moment.
A couple of minutes later Weiss and Bruce was currently outside of the Schnee/Wayne family matter Weiss was wearing a large blue coat over the blue dress she was wearing and she added some blue stockings. The father and daughter duo then got on the plane that was parked in front of the manor and once they got inside the plane. The plane was lifted up in the air and it flew and was making its way down to Mantle."
Once they landed in Mantle Weiss couldn't help but look at the city of Mantle the former capital of Atlas, it wasn't as advance as the city of Atlas but her father and her grandparents had worked really hard to update Mantle with everything with the technology, building some buildings for some business so that the people of mantle can have jobs in order to support their families. Even the apartment buildings they were really own mostly by her father and they are at a reasonable price so the people and mostly the faunus wouldn't have to worry about where they had to live and avoid living at the crate.
Weiss remembered what her father told her when she was younger about his reasoning in being so involved with the city of Mantle.
"If I don't get involved in improving Mantle then who will, everybody forgets that Mantle is also a part of the kingdom of Atlas and the people here in the city of Atlas always look down and treat the people of Mantle poorly. At the end of the day we are all people and the citizens of Mantle deserves to have a better life just as much as us rich and wealthy people do, we all need to rely and depend on each other, also Mantle holds a special place in my heart and for your grandparents because...we would usually go down to Mantle to do a lot of fun things as a family" Bruce said.
That was one of the reasons why Weiss admired her father even more because he cares about Atlas as a whole and not just one city and district and it was actually one of those moments where her father actually opened up to her, about something so personal especially something that relates to her parents. Weiss hopes she can use this time to help her father to try to ease the pain and slowly move on from her grandparents death. That was one of her personals goals after all.
Bruce and Weiss walked as they spotted a limo and the two of them got inside of the limo, once that happened the limo drove off and was heading straight towards its destination.
"Father if you don't mind me asking what kind of restaurant are we going to?" Weiss asked her father.
"You could say that its a restaurant that I use to go with my parents whenever we had the chance to head straight down to Mantle" Bruce said surprising Weiss.
"Really?" Weiss asked since this was one of the rare times her father really mentioned anything about his childhood regarding his parents.
"Yeah I figured that I wanted to try to share the experience that I had as a child and like I said it really gives us a chance to talk and spend time together" Bruce said to her daughter.
"I see' Weiss said as she gave her father a small smile.
A couple of minutes later the limo had stopped and Bruce and Weiss had gotten out of the limo and once the duo was out of the limo Weiss looked and she saw that it was just a simple family diner, Weiss looked at the sign and it said Mary and Joseph family diner.
"Come on lets go" Bruce said as he was starting to walk inside the diner and after a moment Weiss began to follow her father inside.
Once inside Weiss took a look inside it was not too big but it wasn't small either the walls were brown and it had multiple tables boots where Weiss saw a few people were sitting at and at the middle setting their was some stool seats and behind it if Weiss had to guess it was the back room that leads to the kitchen if she had to guess.
At the front Weiss saw an old woman who had her hair in a fish net and she was wearing a apron and a waiters uniform she had had blue eyes, she looked and saw Bruce and she smiled at him.
"My if it isn't a familiar face" the woman said as Bruce and Weiss approached her.
"How have you been Mary still as lively as ever I see" Bruce said as he smiled at the woman known as Mary.
"Of course I may not be as young as I use to be but I still have plenty of energy so Bruce what brings you down to our diner its been sometime since we last saw you and Willow" Mary said to Bruce.
"Really now so that's Weiss she really does look like Winter and her mother" Mary said as she looked at Weiss and smiled at her.
"It's a pleasure to meet you ma'am, it seems like you know my father very well" Weiss said.
"Of course dear, I knew your father since he was a little boy in fact his parents and I were old friends oh well are my manners, I'm Mary one of the owners of the diner" Mary said.
"Oh I see it's nice to meet you Ms. Mary" Weiss said.
"You can just call me Mary dear" Mary said to Weiss.
"By the way where is Joseph by the way?" Bruce asked.
"Oh my dear husband is out right now he had some things he needed to do but he should be back soon now Bruce why don't you and Weiss have a seat anywhere and I have one of our workers come and take your orders" Mary said to Bruce.
"Thanks Mary we will do just that" Bruce said as he smiled at Mary while Weiss gave Mary a polite nod as the father and daughter duo went ahead and went and sat at a table booth and they were sitting across from each other.
"Mary seems like she a nice lady" Weiss said to her father.
"She is, while she can be energetic at times Mary is really a kind soul at heart her and her husband Joseph" Bruce said.
"It also sounded like she knew mother and Winter" Weiss said.
"Yeah Willow and I sometimes would go here during some dates, and we also took Winter here a few times when she was little" Bruce said.
"Really that's interesting I guess you really don't like to spend much time to hang out with the rich people of Atlas" Weiss said with a giggle on her face.
"Of course not you know that, I have to hang out with them and sometimes do business with them because I have to not because I want to it can be a real pain sometimes" Bruce said causing Weiss to chuckle a bit.
"I can imagine" Weiss said she then looked and saw that a waitress was coming up to them with the menus she had long grey hair and long grey eyes and Weiss noticed that she had a racoon tail which means she was a faunus and from Weiss could tell she was only maybe a few years older then her.
"Good evening...my name Clare and I'll be your waitress today here the menu so that you can see what you would like to order" Clare said as Weiss took the menu.
"Actually I already know what I want to order" Bruce said to Clare.
"Really what is it that you want to order Mr. Wyane?" Clare asked Bruce.
'I'll just have the mulligatawny soup and would you mind getting us a pot of coffee" Bruce said to the waitress.
"Of course Mr. Wayne and for you Ms. Schnee?" Clare said to Weiss.
"I would like to try your bake fish and a salad" Weiss said as Claire wrote down the orders she then took the menus away.
"Ok then we will have your food out as soon as we can" Clare said as she walked towards the back leaving just Weiss and Bruce by themselves.
"You really do love mulligatawny soup father" Weiss said as she smiled at her father.
"Yeah I may be biased but the other mulligatawny soup I tasted compares to way Alfred makes it, but your mother whenever she cooks was a close second" Bruce said.
"I could understand that Alfred is a excellent cook" Weiss said.
"Yeah, Weiss I know we haven't had much one on one time to talk with each other since you been home, I wanted to see how you was feeling after everything that's happened back at beacon" Bruce said to his second child.
"Oh...actually father things has been good I really enjoy being home and seeing you, mother, Whitley, Alfred and Klein more often its just..." Weiss stopped herself a bit.
"You miss your team and your other friends" Bruce said.
"Yeah, I miss them so much and their is so many things we don't know about why Beacon was attacked in the first place and not to mention Phyrra is still missing and Blake she just ran away without even saying anything...its just I really don't know what to do now father, I really don't" Weiss said as she put her head down.
"I see have you ever tried to call on your team to check on them, since the CCT is still up and running" Bruce asked her daughter.
"I...haven't really because I don't really know what to say to them if I got that chance and their a high possibility that Yang and Blake would just ignore my calls" Weiss replied.
"Sweetheart...Yang and Blake are going through some things right now just give them some time to sort through it and when that time come I know they will talk and explain everything to you, also I'm wondering what do you think Ruby is doing right now?" Bruce asked though he had a feeling what she was doing.
"Ruby...knowing her she probably trying to figure out why was Beacon attacked right at this moment that's just the type of person she is" Weiss said.
"Yes I could tell base on the letters you sent to us and from when I first met her back at the vytal festival she really does want to be a huntress to save people" Bruce said.
"Yeah Ruby as you know can be naïve and idealistic at times but that's also one of her best qualities along with her wiliness to help people" Weiss sighed before saying "I just wish I could be there to help her as her partner".
"I know you told me that you were always going to be there for Ruby and be the best partner you can be and be there for her in anyway possible...I'm sure Ruby and the rest of your team misses you too Weiss but I have a feeling you will see them again after all you can't leave Ruby by herself fighting in a world saving battle can you" Bruce said as he chuckled a bit.
"Of course not Ruby would be helpless without me" Weiss chuckle a bit.
"Thank you father I really needed to hear that...also I wanted to say something to you as well" Weiss said.
"Really what is it?" Bruce asked Weiss.
Before Weiss could say anything Clare came back with some cups and a large pot of coffee.
"I brought you guys, your coffee" Clare said as she sat the pot and the cups down.
"Thank you very much Clare" Bruce said as he gave the racoon faunus a small smile which caused Clare to blush a bit.
"Ah its no problem at all Mr. Wayne um your food will be ready in few more minutes" Clare said.
"Ok, thank you so much" Bruce said as Clare nodded while still blushing a bit as she left to tend to another costumer.
Bruce turned his head and grab the pot and began pouring the coffee to his cup and once he was finished he sat the pot down on the table.
"Ok Weiss what is it that you wanted to say to me?" Bruce asked as Weiss grab the pot and began to pour herself some coffee as well.
"Um, actually father I actually wanted to talk to you about what happened to grandpa Thomas and grandma Martha" Weiss said.
There was a sudden silence when Weiss mentioned her grandparents and she saw that Bruce had an unreadable expression until he sighed a bit.
"Weiss.." Bruce started to say but Weiss stopped him.
"Please father listen to what I have to say, I know that you are still in so much pain after what happened to grandpa Thomas and grandma Martha its why you don't like to talk about them too much or you have been in some ways a bit distant from us about your feelings and what your going through and it pains me that...I can't do anything to help one of the people that I love the most help him move past the tragedy that happened in the past" Weiss said as she clinched her fist on the table.
"I want to help you father I want to help you move on from what happen and to give you closure from what happened to grandpa Thomas and grandma Martha, not only that but I really want you to open up to me more regarding your problems, because after all as a huntress my job is to be able to help people and I really want to help you father" Weiss said.
"Weiss" Bruce said he knew that his daughter wanted to help him move on from his parents death but he has no idea that she felt so strongly about it not to mention she also wanted to him to open up more, because he does try to hide his feelings because he didn't want his family to worry about him.
"Perhaps Whitley was right, I should try to open up regarding my own personal feelings, it could help me get over the nightmares...but regarding telling them about me being Batman.. I'm just not there yet I don't want them to be a target especially since soon I'm going to have to fight Salem and her forces" Bruce thought.
"Thank you, Weiss I'm happy and grateful that you care about me so much its because of you and the rest of the family you made it easier for me to move on from your grandparents death, you really have turned into a fine woman one that your grandparents would be proud of if they met you today, and don't worry if there is something troubling me I'll let you know I promise" Bruce said as he smiled at his daughter.
Weiss smiled she was great she had this talk with her father she could feel that they gotten closer as well "ok father that's all I really wanted" Weiss said.
About a few minutes later Clare had came back with their food, she set the mulligatawny soup in front of Bruce and the bake fish and salad in front of Weiss.
"Here you go I brought you guys your food is there anything else you need?" Clare asked the father and daughter duo.
"No I believe that's it thank you so much Clare" Weiss said to the waitress.
"You're very welcome Ms. Schnee please enjoy your meal" Clare said as she left.
"Now then I guess we better eat" Bruce said as he grabbed a spoon and began eating his soup while Weiss grab a fork and she began to eat her salad.
"Oh wow their salad is delicious" Weiss said.
"I told you that Mary and Joseph's food was good" Bruce said while eating his mulligataway soup.
"You aren't wrong father we should really drop by here more often when we have the time" Weiss said.
"Sure next time we can bring the whole family...Weiss before we head home would you like to come with me to pay respects to your grandparents...I want to take you the place where they died" Bruce said.
"Of course father I would be happy to just remember I'm right here with you as support" Weiss said.
"I know, you know whoever you date is going to be so lucky to have you as your partner" Bruce laughed causing Weiss to blushed.
"Father!" Weiss yelled.
Bruce laughed and Weiss couldn't help but laugh as well because she could see that her father was really happy and she was happy that she was getting through to him and she was getting this one on one time with him.
After a couple of minutes the duo managed to finish their food and they got up and Bruce grab his wallet and he threw a good amount of Lien as a tip to Clare for being a great waitress to him and Weiss.
The duo then went to the front and they looked to see an old man who was wearing a uniform he was a bit on the chubby side but he has grey shaggy hair and had pale skin and blue eyes. The man then saw Bruce and Weiss and he couldn't help but smile.
"Well Mary was right you really are here" the man said as Bruce and Weiss walked to the front where the man was at.
"You knew I couldn't pass up the chance to eat here while I had the time Joseph, looks like your doing well" Bruce said as he smiled at Joseph.
"Well you know despite my age I try to stay active as much as I can and from what Mary told me this much be your daughter" Joseph said as he smiled at Weiss.
"Yes this is my daughter Weiss" Bruce said.
"How do you do, sir?" Weiss said as she gave a polite nod to Joseph.
"I'm doing just fine I did see some of your matches at the vytal festival and you were pretty impressive you almost reminded me of your sister" Joseph said.
"Oh thank you it was nothing I was really just trying to do my best out there" Weiss said with a small smile on her face.
"Modest and polite just like both of your parents well then Bruce I take it your heading out then?" Joseph asked the wealthiest man in Remnant.
"Yeah, the food was excellent as always Joseph, I'll make sure the next time I'm come here it will be with the whole family" Bruce said as he gave the Lien to Joseph.
"Yes I would like that very much Bruce please tell Willow and Winter I said hello and it was a pleasure meeting you Weiss" Joseph said as he smiled at Weiss.
"It was a pleasure meeting you as well, sir" Weiss said,
"Let's get going Weiss, we'll see you soon Joseph tell Mary I said goodbye" Bruce said.
"Will do Bruce you know you will always have a place here" Joseph said causing Bruce to smile and nod.
After a quick goodbye Weiss and Bruce left the restaurant Weiss noticed the limo right in front of the street she then looked at her father and he sighed a bit.
"Are you alright, father?" Weiss asked her father.
"Yeah it's just every time I would go to that closed down theater it never gets easier in fact out of you, your sister and your brother, you're going to be the first to come with me to see where they died" Bruce said.
"I see" Weiss said her father was really opening up his vulnerable to side to her and this was her chance to try to help her father really move on from the tragedy that happened to him and her grandparents.
"I told you father I'm right here, I will be your pillar to support and lean on you" Weiss said.
Bruce looked and smiled at his daughter "thank you Weiss, come on before we go I know a great flower shop that we can go to" Bruce said as he went and opened up the door to the limo for Weiss, and Weiss got inside first and then after that Bruce went inside and closed the door. After that the limo took off and was heading straight towards it next destination.
Meanwhile, while Bruce and Weiss were spending time together down in Mantle, Willow Whitley and Barbara were currently sitting together in the garden section of the schnee-wayne manor.
"My oh my Alfred does make the best sandwiches" Willow said as she finished eating another small like sandwich.
"I can't really argue with you there mother" Whitley said.
"Anyway Barbara have you adjusted yourself to your life here in Atlas, I know you just moved down here from Mantle and my husband gave you a job but it must be hard moving away from your family and friends.
"Yes...it is hard but I am adjusting well Mrs. Schnee everyone from Mr. Wayne you Weiss Whitley the workers you all were so kind to me, it made my life in Atlas so much easier" Barbara or rather Phyrra said. She really was worried about her family, her parents mainly her mom must be worried sick about her and not to mention her friends and mainly Jaune must be so upset that she went "missing" and are most likely trying to look for her. Phyrra misses her family and her friends greatly but being here by Batman side was the best possible outcome for not only her but for her love ones.
She can focus now by doing her duty as the fall maiden and as Batgirl to protect the world and fight Salem and her forces, she really owe Bruce, Whitley and everybody else that helped her get use to living in Atlas more easily. Phyrra almost felt like she was a part of the family.
"It's no problem at all dear, you have been super great in being Bruce assistant and being there for Weiss and Whitley as a friend they can talk to, as far as I'm concern your already a part of our family" Willow said to Barbara.
"I really don't know what to say Mrs. Schnee" Barbara said as she was touched by Willow's words.
"You don't have to say anything at all dear, now son tell me how are you doing?" Willow said as she looked at her youngest child.
"I'm doing fine mother" Whitley simply said.
"Are you sure after what happened at Beacon and with Yang, you seem very different...your almost beginning to act like your father" Willow said.
"Isn't that a good thing?" Whitley asked causing Willow to sigh a bit.
"It can be a good and a bad thing I'm sure your well aware why...have you ever had the chance to talk to Yang I'm sure she would probably appreciate how handsome you gotten" Willow said with a smirk on her face.
"Mother please, and no I haven't I just really wanted to give Yang some space she still probably going through a lot right now and...I don't know what I would say to her" Whitley said.
"That doesn't mean you shouldn't call and check up on her Whitley, I'm sure Yang wouldn't mind if you just called and talked to her and check to see how he was doing after all it was you along with your father and James that worked on that metal arm and gave it to her I'm sure she would thank you for doing that for her" Willow said.
"She is right Whitley it wouldn't hurt to try to talk to Yang" Barbara said.
"Not you too Barbara...fine I might try to call Yang if it makes you two get off my back" Whitley said.
"It does" Willow said she knew for a fact that Whitley loved and care about Yang so much and she saw how devastated he was when he saw Yang in the state she was in, and all that Willow wants to do is to make her son happy.
"Whitley if something is troubling you please don't hesitate to let me know, alright" Willow said.
"I know mother but you don't have to worry I'm fine lets just say I matured a bit since Beacon and I know what I need to do now" Whitley said.
"Ok, honey now then since we are here Barbara I'm wondering what are your favorite places to go here in Atlas?" Willow said.
As they were talking Whitley has begun thinking to himself "don't worry mom I'm fine I know what I need to do now and that is too stop Salem and that bastard Taurus will get what's coming to him when I see him" Whitley thought as vowing to old Taurus back from what he did to Yang.
A/N: Hey long time to see sorry about not putting up a chapter in months laziness and getting in a car accident and spending almost two months in the hospital will do that to you while getting hip surgery and having broken ribs on my left side. But I'm all better now and I'm pretty much back to full health now and I will try to get some chapters out as fast as I can. Anyway for this, this takes place during the second episode of volume four and I wanted to try to develop Weiss and Bruce relationship more as a father and daughter since Bruce due to his PTSD and the trauma is well guarded with his emotions and doesn't really like to tell people how he really feels. That's why I had Weiss at this moment use this opportunity to try to get her father to open up more since she feels like sometimes she doesn't know her father well at times due to Bruce be well on guard at times and not letting people know how he really feels. But he is getting better this is the first step for him will he tell the rest of his family that he his Batman who knows haha will see how the story will develop first. Anyway next chapter is probably when things will get crazy and I mean Ruby and her group will meet a certain crazy duo so yeah get ready for that most likely. Anyway thank you guys so much for reading my story it really means a lot don't forget to read, review and follow the story until next time guys see ya.
